Oscor Nominations

Hey everyone! Was listening to the radio today and they were talking about how a number of the Best Picture nominations weren't nominated for best screenplay. How important is story to a good film?

  • Well, if you go by popularity of some movies, then no. There's a few popular movies that have no story line in the least. On the other end of the spectrum, you have movies that have such a complicated storyline that they're impossible to follow. However, I think what speaks best to storyline in a movie is some of the best movies started off as books. Those are the ones I personally enjoy the most.
