Luna's Child

The moon is out again; my emotions are shifting once more,

The unique transformation rocks me to my very core.

Many are confused by this, but that is why I’m unique,

With my luscious brown hair that is descended from the Greeks.

And my almond shaped eyes that shimmer chocolate brown,

Not to mention the golden streaks in them that envelop my pupils like a crown.

My emotions fluctuate; there goes the tidal wave again,

One minute I’m energetic and happy; the next I’ll be planning your end.

I cause a mixture of opinions of those around me,

I couldn't care less though; I always do what pleases me.

My dream is to be a writer; I can only hope that my future is full of success.

I’ve started by publishing my work on websites such as Fictionpress.

People don’t understand me; they say that I’m strange,

Their ignorant reactions confuse me; I’ve had enough of this exchange.

They always ask me: “Are you even human? You seem too wild,”

I merely smile at them: “Well, people call me Luna’s Child.”
