And it Burned

The city burned, fire lighting up the night sky. There was no warning beforehand. They had came as silently as the last time, and had attacked as viciously and swiftly as well. We were unprepared. They destroyed our home, They are making sure that nothing is left of the attack, not even the battle ground. Their technology was much more advanced compared to ours. We were out numbered and outmatched, but we still fought. We fought Them, even though it was hopeless. I fought by my friends side in the middle of the battle. We killed many of Them, but They killed more of us. I watched my friend shot and and gutted by Them, then used as a lab rat to see what we're literately made of. I fought on, plowing through Them like They were little bugs, and I was using the magnifying glass. I hid in alleyways, buildings, and garages. I went behind enemy lines and made sure we were safe. I watched the miserable failure of our forces. I ran from Them, into to alleyways, through back streets, into houses, and waited. I just sat there and waited. Waited for what? For Them to leave, for this war to be over, for death. I waited for anything and everything. I waited until They found me, then I did the same thing again and again. Every once and a while, I would be treated to a nice meal that was left by a family before the ran from a fate that they couldn't avoid. I ate like a king. I didn't get much sleep, for no matter where you are, They will always find you. You can run from Them, but you can't hide. The few times I would sleep, it would be in a tree or a cave or burrow. I found it hard to live, I wondered why I had to be born into this horrible, war-torn world. There was nothing but death and destruction where I lived. My parents were killed, They killed them in the middle of the night. They missed me, I was very paranoid and I always slept somewhere hidden. I made sure that They couldn't find me. I hid and trained. I trained my self in hand-to-hand combat, shooting skills, but it was all for nothing. There was no way to stop Them. They destroyed everything. So now I watch my city burn, and look at the destruction They have caused. The hate that we have for Them is great, but none as great as mine. They shall pay, the humans must die.
