Running away

This is SilverAmarant and welcome to my new story. I hope you enjoy this story :)

In the Christian bible, it was believed for you to go to either Heaven or Hell after you die. Hell was the underworld where the bad people would be forever punished for the sins they committed back in their days of the living. Hell was controlled by the demon king, Lucifer, or also known as Satan.

Then there was Heaven, the Overworld where the good people can spend the rest of their days in peace and live as angels. Heaven was controlled by the creator of Earth, God.

It is known for angels to become fallen but there was one angel in particular who became a fallen and his life would change lives forever...

"Come on boy!" one of the angels yelled, looking at his friend, who seemed to be looking at the gates that led to God.

"I despise being here" the boy mumbled. "What was that?" his friend asked. "I said I despise being in Heaven. It's nothing special. I bet being with Lucifer is more fun" the boy explained.

His friend gasped. "Don't say such a thing! Lucifer is a bad person! Don't rebel against God."

"I don't care about God!" the boy shouted. "He betrayed me! I want vengeance!"

His friend frowned. "But what about me? We can be friends forever and play with each other."

His friend gulped when he felt a dark aura within his childhood friend.

The gates opened, and God walked up to the two boys. "What is this dark aura, I feel? Such feelings are not to be shown in the Overworld" he explained.

"I don't care!" The boy shouted. His pupils started to look like a demons and his feathers started to evaporate, leaving leathery bat wings. Two horns grew out of his head and fangs appeared in his mouth.

God gasped. "Why would you go towards the bad side?"

The boy chuckled. "Demons are powerful creatures. I can get my revenge on you once and for all…"

God frowned. "Demons may be strong, but they are not bright. But you won't listen to reason. I hereby banish you from the Overworld!" he shouted.

Flames appeared all over the boy and he let out a scream. He disappeared and only a scorch was left. The boy's friend was near to tears.

"Why did he turn, father?"

"His heart was dark from the very day he came here. Lucifer will take care of him."

The boy opened his eyes and sprouted his wings. 'I'm not going to Hell! I'll take my revenge on the mortals!' he thought and used all his strength to fly away from the Underworld. He finally pulled himself out of the strong force that tried to carry him towards the Underworld and flew down to Earth where he can cast revenge.

Medieval times, Alaredda,

"And so the angel became a fallen and flew to the outskirts of Alaredda, within the forest. He was weak in this world and he eventually found out that he needed the blood of the Princesses of Alaredda in order to regain strength.

He decided to lure them to his forest. The only way for this man to become an angel again is to feel love and happiness" a girl said to herself as she read the words from the mythology book of the fallen angel.

The girl's name was Hirika. She was the princess of Alaredda and was a giant bookworm. She had long blonde hair, a pink fitted dress and sky blue eyes. Hirika huffed. "Is it just me or is something missing from this story?" she asked, looking at her servant, Mamoru who was sitting very close to her.

Mamoru shrugged. "Who knows. Probably. I don't know why they would cut anything out in a mythology story" he replied.

Hikari scooted away from him. "Don't get so close to me. It's awkward" she explained and Mamoru bowed. "Of course, my lady. I am sorry for making you feel that way. It shall not happen again" he promised.

Hikari smiled. "Good." She liked Mamoru. He was a loyal servant who would keep his word. Not many people were like that.

Mamoru had neat brown hair and a short ponytail. He had brown eyes and a classic suit for a servant. His clothing and shoes were set neatly to give him a formal look. He also had slight hints of a beard growing from his chin but was barely visible.

One of the Alereddan servants entered the room and knelt before Hikari. "My princess" he said and Hikari looked at him.

"What is it, Ernaut?" she asked. "His majesty wishes to speak to you in the throne room" Ernaut replied. Hikari stood.

"Okay. Mamoru, escort me to my father" she ordered.

Mamoru put a hand on his chest. "Of course, my lady" he replied and led Hikari out the room.

Ernaut grumbled. "She could've asked me to escort her… She seems to request everything of that bloody Mamoru…"

Mamoru opened the doors to the throne room and Hikari entered. On the throne sat an old man, with a scruffy beard. He wore a big red robe and bulky sleeves that gave him a muscular figure. He wore a big crown adorned with red, green and blue gems. This was Hikari's father and king of Alaredda.

Standing next to him was a man near Hikari's age. He had blonde frizzy short hair and he wore a brown tunic and a black belt to keep it tight around him.

"You wished to see me, father?" Hikari asked, looking at the old man on the throne. He nodded. "Yes. Hikari, meet Wolfe."

Hikari looked at the man next to him and he walked over to her. "Hello, my princess. As his majesty says, I am Wolfe" Wolfe explained and took Hikari's hand in his own.

Hikari nodded. "Pleasure to meet you" she greeted and Wolfe kissed her finger.

Mamoru quietly growled as he watched Wolfe invade Hikari's personal space.

Hikari withdrew her hand from him and faked a smile. She hid her hand behind her back and wiped the finger Wolfe kissed.

"Hikari, Wolfe is to be your husband and new king of Alaredda. But in the time being, he will begin courting you" the king explained.

Everything was silent for a moment then Hikari erupted. "WHAT?!" she yelled.

The king frowned. "A princess never raises her voice. Why the volume anyway?"

"I-It's just so sudden. I don't know anything about him!" Hikari replied. Wolfe smiled and wrapped an arm around her. "That's why I'm going to court you. During the courting session, I'll tell you all about me. You'll be amazed about what you hear" he explained.

Hikari mentally sighed. 'This guy likes to boast, doesn't he?'

"We'll get along just fine" Wolfe explained, smiling.

It was sunset and Hikari was in the garden with Wolfe who had annoyed her all day. He was boasting about his life as a warrior and his life. It bored Hikari so much. And he was also a brute. He made Hikari make him dinner and made her pay for things outside of the castle. A gentleman was supposed to do this to show kindness to the woman they're courting, especially if it's a princess!

Luckily, she had Mamoru to entertain her. Hikari could tell Mamoru didn't like Wolfe. Hikari felt the same way. Hikari stood up, stopping Wolfe from talking. "Are you okay, my princess?" he asked. Hikari nodded, faking a yawn. "Yes. I'm just tired. I think it's wise if I go to my room now. Goodnight, sir Wolfe" she said, turning to leave.

Wolfe stood up as well. "My princess, I'll escort you-"

"That won't be necessary. Mamoru will lead me to my room. Goodnight" she replied, walking off with Mamoru.

"Mamoru, take me to the stables" she ordered. Mamoru raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

"Don't question me and just take me to the stables!"

"...Okay…"

The two were at the stables and Hikari took her favourite horse she calls Silvermane. She got onto the horse and held onto its mane.

"My lady, what are you doing?" Mamoru asked. "I'm running away" Hikari replied. Mamoru gasped. "What? No, my lady-"

"I can't put with marrying a brute who only cares about himself!" Hikari interrupted. She directed the horse out of the stables but Mamoru blocked the exit, holding his arms out wide.

"I can't let you, my lady."

"Move aside, Mamoru" Hikari ordered but Mamoru stood his ground. "No."

"You're rejecting a strict order? How rude of you! Move. Now!"

"I'm sorry princess, but I can't. His majesty gave me strict orders to keep you here."

Hikari huffed and kicked the Silvermane's thigh to make run forward. Mamoru barely stepped aside and he grabbed onto Silvermane's leg.

Hikari had gotten out of the castle and the kingdom of Alaredda until the horse started slowing down. "Come on, Silvermane. Just a little further. Until we find a new place where father won't look for us" she whispered into the horse's ear. She then saw a forest ahead of her.

"My lady! Stop the horse!" Mamoru yelled, clinging onto the horse's leg for dear life. "You let go! You're slowing me down!" Hikari shouted.

Mamoru grabbed Hikari's back and she clung herself to Silvermane's neck. Mamoru pulled himself up onto Silvermane and stopped it in its tracks, giving it some time to rest.

Hikari glared at Mamoru and slapped him. "You jerk! You could've hurt me doing that!" she yelled. Mamoru ignored her and turned the horse around. "We're going back. Let's go" he said but Hikari got off the horse and ran for the woods.

"My lady!" he shouted and rode over to Hikari with not much effort. He grabbed her arm and tried pulling her onto the horse. "My lady… We're going back!" he explained as he tried pulling her up.

"Let. Me. Go!" she ordered and when Mamoru didn't oblige, she bit him on the arm. Hard.

Mamoru cursed and let go of Hikari. She sprinted and ran to the entrance of the forest. As soon as she stepped into the forest, she fell into a trance.

"Princess… This way…" a voice said, and Hikari walked further into the dark forest.

"My lady!" Mamoru yelled, but when she didn't respond, he rode after her.

When he entered the forest, he lost her. "My lady?! My lady?!" he yelled, trying to find her. Mamoru started to get worried. "Hikari!"

Mamoru had galloped further into the forest and gasped, seeing a dark castle. 'What kind of person builds a castle deep in the forest?' Mamoru asked himself and got off Silvermane. He walked into the castle and looked in the entrance room.

It was huge! Bigger than the hall at Alaredda's castle hall. "Hirika?" Mamoru called out, hoping she would respond. He heard footsteps upstairs and he ran to where to sound came from.

Mamoru gasped, seeing Hirika at the doors that led to a bigger room. She walked in the room with Mamoru running after her. He grabbed Hikari's arm and held her close. "Hikari!" he shouted at her and Hikari gasped.

"W-Where am I?" she asked. "You don't know? You're the one who walked in! Whatever, we're leaving!"

"I don't think you should leave. She is my catch."

Hirika and Mamoru looked at a throne at the far end of the room and saw a man with large demonic wings and a black robe. "Welcome, to my castle."
