The year is 2222 and magic had an overwhelming effect on the human population. There were only a few beings that were known as Immortals. The person that created an organization for Immortals, Ayuri Hamasaki, which is a Vampire that’s over 900 years old. It is called the UI Company. The UI stands for Undying Immortals.
On April 11, 2222, Ayuri took Thomas Niel to school and his classmates tried attacking Ayuri and Ayuri smiled and said, “Naive.”
They heard that and swung at her and a barrier appeared and Thomas smiled and turned his head toward Ayuri and she patted him on his head. They flew back a little and then Ayuri punched Azumamaro Omura and he flew into the lake. She kicked Ukon Yogi into the lake. And she headbutted Thoki Imamura in the head and he flew back into the water and Ayuri said, “You 3 aren’t that bad. But you 3 are the only 3 willing to attack me.”
Ukon asked, “What about Thomas? Has he ever tried to attack you?”
Thomas answered, “Nope. I can’t see after all. I can only sense danger.”
Ayuri swung at him and Thomas moved his body forwards and then kicked Ayuri’s leg and Ayuri went on her knee and punched his leg and Thomas went on one knee and Ayuri punched him in the face and said, “A nice counter attack Thomas. I thought that you really had me there.”
Thomas said, “I couldn’t move my leg fast enough to avoid your attack. So I don’t blame you for saying that.”
Azumamaro said, “You are amazing Thomas. Could you teach us how to be a badass as well?”
Thomas laughed and answered, “Nope. I can’t see you remember. So I don’t know what type of stance you would use. And I don’t plan on touching your body to find out either.”
Ayuri laughed and said, “As I thought. You are just weak.”
Thomas said, “Shut up. Let’s continue to class.”
Ayuri smiled and they said, “OK.” As soon as they got there, Ayuri put a bucket of water on there’s heads and 2 buckets on Thomas’s arms only and Thomas asked, “Why are we holding 3 buckets?”
His classmates answered, “You’re the only one carrying 3 Thomas.”
Thomas heard that and yelled, “What?”
Everyone laughed and Ayuri said, “Now allow me to say this. You people are trying to enter the Capital with just mere power. But that won’t help you. Plus, if you are blind. You need to find a way to gain a little bit of your eyesight back.”
Thomas asked, “Is that even possible?”
Ayuri answered, “Yes it is. Get stronger.”
Thomas heard that and said, “You make it sound so bloody easy.”
Ayuri said, “It is. Plus, this is a school for training, isn’t it?”
Everyone looked at each other and Thoki said, “It seems that I lost you there.”
Thomas laughed and said, “A school for training, huh.”
Thomas took the bucks off of him and sat down quietly and then Urena Sakata said, “Um, Thomas.”
Thomas said, “Yes.”
Urena asked, “Could you get off of me?”
Thomas asked, “Am I sitting on you?”
Urena answered, “Yes you are. Now please get off.”
Thomas smiled and said, “OK.”
He stood up and walked back to the buckets and sat on the ground and said, “Begin class. I’m not stopping you.”
Ayuri said, “Thomas, you truly are incompetent.”
Thomas said, “I think that my heart is broken now.”
Everyone laughed and said, “Choose your sparring partner everyone. Thomas will be sparring with me as always.”
Everyone heard that and Thomas put his hands on the ground and asked, “Are my hands touching the ground? I can’t feel anything after her beating the shit out of me earlier.”
Urena said, “You deserved it.”
Thomas sighed and said, “I’m sorry.”
Ayuri said, “Let’s go.”
Everyone started choosing there partner and Ayuri and Thomas walked outside and asked, “Are you ready to face me?”
Thomas answered, “Nope.”
Ayuri laughed and said, “You aren’t mentally prepared yet.”
Thomas said, “I can’t see or sense anything while I can’t feel anything. But who cares. Come at me with all you’ve got.”
Everyone heard that and Ayuri appeared in front of him and she punched his stomach, but Thomas caught her fist barely and it skimmed his chest and Thomas said, “That was close. I got the feeling back.”
Ayuri smiled and said, “No we could go all-out.”
Thomas said, “I guess that you could say that.”
She hit him and Thomas flew back a little and put his feet on to the ground and pushed off and Ayuri saw that and said, “Amazing. You are able to get a grip on to the world. But you won’t get me.”
Thomas appeared behind her and aimed for her legs and Ayuri saw that and the barrier kicked in and Thomas stopped and Ayuri said, “That was impressive Thomas. Where’d you learn that?”
Thomas answered, “I didn’t.”
Ayuri heard that and looked at him and asked herself, “What is going on here? If he didn’t learn it, then how’d he use it? I have to find out more about him.”
Thomas stood there and Ayuri appeared in front of him and kicked him in his head and Thomas flew away and screamed and everyone saw that and yelled, “You went overboard Ms. Hamasaki.”
Ayuri yelled, “You ok Thomas.”
Thomas put his thumbs up and then laid there and said, “Save me. I feel like you broke my neck or something.”
Ayuri laughed and said, “You aren’t dead yet. So that’s a good thing.”
Thomas said, “That makes me feel a lot worse than it was 5 seconds ago.”
As soon as soon ended, Mr. Iseri and Ayuri had a nice little chat in the staff room and Mr. Iseri asked, “Why are you so hard on him?”
Ayuri answered, “It’s the way we train everyday. Fight to the brink of annihilation. Plus, he hates close combat. He likes it when people come at him. He’s a blind man that never gives up.”
Mr. Iseri laughed and said, “So he’s strong. I heard about the number that he did on you this morning. He was able to hit you. What happened there?”
Ayuri answered, “It’s quite simple. I let my guard down.”
Mr. Iseri smiled and said to himself, “It seems that if she gets distracted, she might lose in a fight. OK, I’ll use Thomas Niel as bait for my plan to work. If I could kill him, she’ll probably break down.”
Thomas appeared and the nurse, Akeno Okita said, “Ms. Hamasaki, I brought Thomas here.”
Ayuri said, “Thank you.”
Thomas walked in and walked into a chair and Mr. Iseri said, “So he really is blind.”
Ayuri said, “Yes he is.”
Thomas asked, “Where am I?”
Ayuri answered, “The staff room.”
Thomas said, “Oh, hello staff people.”
Mr. Iseri said, “Ms. Hamasaki and I are the only ones here. I’m Mr. Iseri. It’s nice to meet you Thomas Niel.”
Thomas said, “Same here.”
Ayuri asked, “How do you know his name?”
Thomas heard that and Mr. Iseri answered, “You haven’t seen the news lately, have you? The police are after him for murder.”
Ayuri asked, “Who did he murder?”
Thomas sighed and Mr. Iseri answered, “The #1 Immortal Hunter in the world. Aaron Carson, The Undefeatable Smiling Monster. And Bounty Hunters are after him as well. A bounty of 2 billion yen is on his head.”
Thomas laughed and said, “You really think that I could kill someone. Don’t make a blind man laugh. Ayuri knows me more than anyone in this world.”
Ayuri said, “That’s true too. I was with Thomas his entire life. I lived with his family.”
Mr. Iseri said, “I see. Have they ever visited the US before?”
Ayuri answered, “Nope. They were a very poor family. So they couldn’t do any of the fun things. Especially Thomas.”
Thomas said, “I’ll be leaving now.”
Ayuri said, “I agree. It’s about time we do leave.”
Mr. Iseri asked, “May I speak with him before you leave though?”
Ayuri answered, “Sure thing.”
His 3 friends entered the room and Mr. Iseri smiled and said to himself, “Everyone’s here.”
He took out his sword and Thomas sensed the sword and said, “He’s got a sword.”
Ayuri heard that and said, “Get out of here.”
Thomas turned around and ran and Mr. Iseri smiled and appeared in front of him and Thomas stopped and the sword sliced his left arm off and Thomas screamed and Ayuri said, “You bastard.”
Ayuri attacked him and Mr. Iseri laughed and said, “You really think that you could defeat me. A Bounty Hunter. Tetsuya Iseri.”
Thomas heard that name and Tetsuya cut her in half and Thomas heard someone fall and said, “It doesn’t seem that she won. Hehehehe.”
Tetsuya said, “That’s a good observation boy.”
He heard that and asked, “Where is he? I can’t sense him at all.”
Tetsuya laughed and then stabbed him in the heart and Thomas closed his eyes and said, “So this is the end. Am I really going to die here? I really don’t want to die.”
Ayuri said, “You really need to wake up. He’s after your 3 friends.”
Thomas said, “That voice sounds familiar, I think.”
Ayuri said, “Wake up. You are the only one that could save them.”
Thomas opened his eyes and said, “I am awake dammit. I just can’t see anything. Uh, am I really the only one that could save them?”
Ayuri answered, “Yep.”
Thomas looked at the ground and smelt blood and said, “The smell of blood I smell.”
Ayuri said, “Drink it, it’ll heal you pretty fast to help you fight against him. Plus, you froze when he said his name. What’s wrong?”
Thomas answered, “That man is bad news. He’s been hunting people down with huge bounties for years. My parents worked for him.”
Ayuri said, “You remember that.”
Thomas said, “I’ll never forget about what he did to them 5 years ago. He’s the one that killed them.”
Ayuri heard that and Thomas licked her blood and stood up and walked out of the room with his staff in his hand and Ayuri saw that and said, “It can’t be. His anger is giving him power.”
Thomas said, “Nope. That has nothing to do with it.”
Ayuri asked, “Are you sure about that?”
Thomas turned his head and smiled and Ayuri saw that and Thomas started sniffing for the scent of blood dripping from Tetsuya’s sword and then ran toward where he smells it and Ukon said, “This man is insanely strong.”
Thomas yelled, “Out of my way.”
The 3 of them heard that and looked at Thomas and Tetsuya said, “You found me without running into anything. I don’t believe it.”
Thomas said, “I smell my own blood. So I know where to run now. Come at me Tetsuya. I’ll pay you back for what happened 5 years ago.”
Tetsuya laughed and appeared behind him and chopped his arm off and Thomas smiled and said, “Whoops. I failed.”
Tetsuya said, “This is my victory. Die Thomas Niel. Along with your family.”
Tetsuya swung the sword and then Thomas grabbed the sword with his fingertips and Tetsuya saw that and said, “His arm regenerated.”
Thomas turned around and and let go of the blade and then punched him in his gut and Tetsuya coughed out blood and he flew through 4 walls and Thomas put his fist up and then collapsed with a smile on his face.
The police arrive and Thomas opens his eyes and felt someone’s skirt and said, “It seems that I won. And just as we planned it too.”
Ayuri said, “Planned.”
Thomas said, “We knew that he was going to kill us. So we decided whoever survives the incident will avenge the family. Either kill him or hand him over to the police. I handed him over to the police.”
Ayuri asked, “Do you care about being Immortal, Thomas?”
Thomas answered, “Not at all. Even though when you age that everything will get boring. The reason I don’t mind is because I’ll be with you forever. Plus, I’ll be needing you to get around as well.”
Ayuri laughed and said, “You’re right about that. I’ll tell you something about myself. I’m Evangeline C. Sandell. A Vampire that lived for over 900 years. Did you really kill the #1 Immortal Hunter?”
Thomas said, “Don’t know. If they said that I did it. I must be hiding something great.”
Ayuri said, “You are right about that. It seems that you are hiding something great. And the police don’t want you. Only Immortal and Bounty Hunters want you.”
Thomas said, “I know that.”
Ayuri said, “Well, we’ll have to leave now Thomas.”
Thomas said, “OK.”
They stood up and walked away and they said, “See you around Thomas.”
Thomas said, “Yep. Have fun.”
They said, “You too.”
Thomas waved and they walked away.
2: The Start of Their JourneyWhile they were walking around Japan’s streets, Ayuri asked, “Why do you care about me so much Thomas?”
Thomas answered, “You most likely raised me. Plus, you help me get around with no problem. I’m blind and you have the eyes. As soon as I get strong enough to have my eyesight back, I won’t need a coordinator.”
Ayuri said, “I see. That’s all there is to it then. I guess that I can handle your offer Thomas.”
Thomas smiled and said, “Thank you.”
Ayuri said, “Let’s continue walking then.”
Ayuri said, “OK.”
They walked around for 6 hours and then stopped to train.
Ayuri said, “Whenever you are ready, lift your staff up.”
Thomas heard that and put it in his right hand and said, “OK, let’s begin.”
Ayuri smiled and Thomas ran toward her and Ayuri noticed that and put her hand out and ice appeared by his feet and Thomas swung the staff at the ice and it shattered and Thomas continued running toward her and Ayuri said, “He broke through the ice with a wooden staff. This is becoming interesting.”
Thomas said, “I don’t know what you are talking about.”
He swung the staff at her and the barrier appeared and Thomas flew back a little and Ayuri appeared in front of him and tried kicking him and Thomas moved to the side and put his arm out and grabbed her foot and lifted her up and then threw her into the ground and said, “Man that hurt.”
Ayuri laughed and said, “I never thought that you were so skilled. It took me years to complete my training. And it only took you 5 years. What the hell?”
Thomas said, “I’m a fast learner.”
Ayuri said, “I see. Again.”
Thomas sighed and started swinging his staff at her and Ayuri smiled and said, “Goddess of Ice, Storm Lances.”
Thomas heard that and looked around him and saw ice lances everywhere and Ayuri sent them flying toward him and Thomas stood there and said, “Oh shit.”
Ayuri heard that and the lances hit him and he screamed and the lances pierced him all over his body and Ayuri saw that and said, “Amazing. You have balls to stay there and live.”
Thomas yelled, “That wasn’t funny dammit. You were trying to kill me.”
Ayuri laughed and asked, “Why would I want to do that? You are very precious to me after all.”
Thomas said, “Yeah right.”
He started grabbing the iced lances and pulled them out and then collapsed with a smile on his face and Ayuri smiled and said, “You always die with a smile on your face Thomas. It’s hilarious. I hope that they don’t appear to take us away. Because you would have to take an entry exam for them to know that you’ll be strong enough to join them. And I don’t plan on going back.”
2 minutes later, his wounds healed and Ayuri said, “It took you 2 minutes to heal yourself. Then how’d it take 0.1 seconds to heal when your 2 arms were chopped off.”
She heard herself say that and said, “I know why. You are an Immortal Dragon. One of the rarest types. I didn’t turn you into one. You were born an Immortal. That’s impossible.”
Thomas opened his eyes and said, “I’m awake.”
Ayuri said, “I went a little overboard.”
Thomas laughed and said, “Ice Lances right.”
Ayuri said, “Yep. Wait, how’d you know that?”
Thomas answered, “I saw the shape. I’ve always been able to see and sense an attack. But nothing else. If you want me to find a tree, I’ll need your help. If you want me to find you a staff, it’s right here.”
Ayuri laughed and said, “You don’t need to worry about anything Thomas. I’m here for you.”
Thomas said, “Thank you.”
Thomas stood up and said, “Let’s continue our little journey. Wait, where are we going anyway?”
Ayuri answered, “It’s a surprise.”
Thomas said, “I hate surprises because I can’t see anything.”
Ayuri said, “That is true too. But you’ll like it. I guarantee it. That’s only if we don’t get distracted.”
Thomas said, “You have a point.”
They started walking again and then Ayuri looked at him and said to herself, “Only Dragons that were born as a Dragon are blind. That’s what I heard from the books. But I never thought that I would actually meet one. And Thomas would be the one that I met. This is getting interesting. What is going to happen when he gets stronger?”
Ayuri grabbed him and Thomas asked, “What’s wrong?”
Ayuri answered, “We’re being followed.”
Thomas turned his head and Ayuri said, “We both have a bounty on our heads. So we need to keep a low profile.”
Thomas said, “I see. You have a point. Plus, he smells dangerous.”
Ayuri said, “He smells dangerous.”
Thomas said, “Yes, I can smell or sense a person's aura from far away. At least 2 miles. But it could keep growing whenever it wants to.”
Ayuri heard that and asked, “How many are there?”
Thomas answered, “2 from behind and 1 ahead of us. Or is it 1 to the east of us now.”
Ayuri looked and said, “It’s East. Let’s move quickly.”
Thomas said, “Understood.”
They walked into the park where there are a lot of people and the 3 Immortal Hunters stopped and said, “Too many kids are around. We can’t do anything. Killing Thomas and capturing Evangeline is going to be a hard feat. Especially when they are teamed together. They would be a troublesome duo.”
Some kids ran around Thomas and Thomas smiled and Ayuri saw his smile and the kids asked, “Do you mind playing with us?”
Thomas answered, “I’m sorry, I’m blind.”
The kids said, “I see. We’re sorry to hear that. Why don’t you have doctors look at his eyesight miss?”
Ayuri answered, “I already did. They can’t do anything about it. No one knows why though.”
The kids said, “Oh, I’m sorry.”
Thomas said, “Don’t worry about it. If I could see you, I would love to play with you. But I can’t, so I feel bad. So there is no problem. Just enjoy yourselves like before.”
Ayuri said, “Yep. We’ll be here for a while. Plus, we don’t have a place to stay. So waiting here is the best we could do till we move again.”
The kids said, “Like a nomad.”
Thomas said, “Most likely. We just started our little journey. Or is it a big journey?”
Ayuri answered, “Right now it’s small. But after we’re done with my surprise, it’ll be a big journey. Traveling to other countries, heading up The Heavens as soon as you get strong enough. And then travel on other planets I guess.”
Everyone said, “You 2 are amazing. You got a lot of free time on your hands.”
Ayuri said, “Yep. We have to move or we’ll be hunted down. But we’re strong.”
Thomas said, “She’s strong.”
Ayuri said, “So is he.”
The kids smiled and then Thomas asked, “What are you talking about? You beat the shit out of me earlier.”
Ayuri said, “That was nothing. You handled yourself pretty well.”
Thomas said, “Yeah right. You could have killed me.”
Ayuri said, “But you survived. So there’s nothing to worry about.”
Thomas said, “Oh shut up. You don’t know a damn thing how I feel.”
Ayuri laughed and said, “Yes I do. I was weak once too, you know.”
Thomas said, “You might have a point. She has a point right.”
The kids said, “Yessir.”
Thomas said, “I hate it when she’s right.”
The kids started laughing and there mothers said, “It’s time to leave. We have a busy day tomorrow. You have school tomorrow.”
Thomas said, “Go on. We’ll be fine on our own.”
Ayuri smiled along with Thomas and they said, “OK. Have fun.”
They said, “We will. You too, have fun.”
They said, “We will as well.”
They ran away and the Immortal Hunters said, “They are leaving. Now’s our chance to kill them. Let’s go.”
They ran toward them and Thomas felt that there aura’s were getting closer and turned around and saw a sword and took his staff out and blocked it and Ayuri said, “Shit, a surprise attack.”
3: The Immortal Hunters AttackThe Immortal Hunters said, “They are leaving. Now’s our chance to kill them. Let’s go.”
They ran toward them and Thomas felt that there aura’s were getting closer and turned around and saw a sword and took his staff out and blocked it and Ayuri said, “Shit, a surprise attack.”
The Immortal Hunter that attacked Thomas, Masaki Ishihara said, “So you are the famous Immortal that killed the leader of us Immortal Hunters? I don’t believe it. Using a wooden staff as a weapon. Take out your real weapon.”
Thomas said, “I see. I don’t know what you are talking about.”
The 2nd Immortal Hunter, Hayato Minamoto said, “It seems that he is dumb. Plus, he isn’t attacking you. I’m a little disappointed.”
The 3rd Immortal Hunter, Yuri Sako, a Lamia said, “I see. He’s weaker than we thought. He only has luck on his side.”
Thomas smiled and swung his staff and Masaki flew back and Thomas ran toward him and Ayuri appeared in front of Yuri and Yuri saw that and Ayuri punched her ribs and said, “Don’t talk about Thomas like that.”
Yuri flew back a little and Masaki stared at Thomas and he smiled and said, “So this is your way of fighting. Anger is everything to you.”
Thomas said, “Not at all.”
Thomas brought his staff to the ground and Masaki jumped back and the ground blew up a little and Masaki saw that and said, “It’s only a wooden staff. How could it do so much damage?”
Thomas answered, “If you have experience with a wooden sword and you’re able to cut through steel, you know when to break the ground.”
Ayuri sighed and Hayato appeared behind Thomas and Thomas brought his staff back and hit Hayato in the chest and he flew back and Ayuri grabbed the back of his head and slammed it into the ground and Thomas said, “Teamwork is amazing.”
Masaki said, “We knew that you 2 were going to be troublesome. But not this troublesome.”
Ayuri laughed and said, “I see, so you were going to ambush us on the streets. But my judgment was right. To enter the park and wait for them to leave.”
Thomas said, “Smart thinking. I’m starting to like this journey.”
Masaki heard that and Yuri said, “Masaki, you take Ayuri. I’ll handle Thomas. Thomas isn’t your type of enemy after all.”
Masaki said, “Understood.”
As soon as Thomas swung at Masaki, he disappeared and appeared in front of Ayuri and swung his sword and the barrier appeared and the barrier pushed him back and said, “You can’t be serious.”
Ayuri appeared with red eyes and Masaki said, “She’s a damn monster.”
Thomas said, “You 3 really pissed her off. Especially the Immortal.”
Ayuri heard that and uppercutted him and he flew up and Ayuri appeared in the air and Thomas swung his staff like a baseball bat and sent Ayuri flying toward Masaki and Masaki looked down and saw her and said, “That’s fast. She’s fast. Why is she so fast?”
Yuri wrapped her tail around Thomas and lifted him and started squeezing him and Thomas screamed and Yuri asked, “How does it feel Thomas? Can you breath still?”
Thomas put his thumbs up and Ayuri saw that and Thomas lifted his thumb up and Yuri saw that and said, “You can’t move with me like this. It’s impossible. No one can possibly do this. You aren’t going to win.”
Thomas put his thumb down and said, “Destroy.”
Her tail exploded and Yuri screamed and Thomas landed on his feet and Masaki saw that and swung his sword at Ayuri and her barrier appeared again and his arm flew back and Ayuri said, “Finishing Move: Heavenly Piercing.”
Ayuri kicked Masaki in the chest, then punched his head downwards and she appeared above him and Masaki had blood coming out of his mouth and Ayuri said, “Goodbye.”
She put her 2 hands together and then slammed her hands into his back and Masaki flew down into Yuri and they both coughed out blood and the blood flew on to Thomas and Thomas laughed and said, “Hurry on down here Ayuri. It’s time for us to leave.”
Ayuri said, “You’re right about that. They were a little too easy.”
Hayato stood up with glowing red eyes and Hayato flew toward Thomas and kicked his back and Thomas felt that and screamed and his backbone shattered completely and Thomas flew into a tree and Hayato started laughing and Thomas laid there and Ayuri said, “Impossible. We knocked him out.”
Thomas looked up and saw red and said, “Red. Red eyes. Wait a minute. This man is not Immortal. He’s been taken over by a Demon.”
Ayuri heard that and Hayato started going on a rampage and continued to attack Thomas and Hayato stood up and lifted Thomas up and said, “Goodbye Thomas Niel. This is the end of the line for you.”
Ayuri yelled, “Thomas.”
Thomas was knocked out and Ayuri flew down and Hayato kicked Ayuri’s face and then the Divine Gear, a.k.a. The Great Black Dragon God said, “Wake up Thomas. Don’t you love Ayuri? She was just attacked by the man in front of you. He’s about to finish you off. He’s an Immortal Hunter that was possessed by Abaddon. Wake up dammit.”
Thomas said, “I am awake idiot. What do you want?”
The Great Black Dragon God answered, “Ayuri is getting attacked by the man that literally beat the shit out of you. Would you like to injure him?”
Thomas answered, “Yes I would.”
The Great Black Dragon God said, “OK then. I’ll give you all of my power to defeat Hayato Minamoto. Is that ok with you?”
Thomas answered, “Yep. Do it.”
The Great Black Dragon God said, “Activating Divine Gear.”
Hayato started feeling a hot sensation in his hands and let go of him and said, “That is hot. What the hell?”
The Divine Gear appeared and it was a very dark black, made out of titanium armor created by The Great Black Dragon God. Hayato stared at him and Ayuri saw that and asked, “What is that?”
Thomas said, “Hayato, you shouldn’t have attacked her.”
Ayuri heard that and Hayato laughed and asked, “What are you going to do about it brat?”
Thomas appeared behind him and poked him and he flew into the pole and Hayato coughed out blood and Thomas said, “Whoops. I didn’t see you there.”
He walked toward Hayato and Ayuri saw that and said, “He’s possessed.”
Thomas said, “Not at all. This is me.”
Hayato laughed and said, “You’ve really done it this time boy.”
He flew toward him and Thomas made a fist and brought it back and a black bright light appeared around the fist and Hayato appeared in front of him and swung his fist and Thomas uppercutted him and an explosion occurred and Hayato screamed and flew into the air and while he was falling, The Great Black Dragon God said, “It’s been a very long time since you’ve been beaten that badly.”
Thomas laughed and said, “Yes it is.”
The gear disappeared and Ayuri asked, “What was that Thomas? Who are you?”
Thomas answered, “Thomas Niel. Who else would I be?”
Ayuri answered, “You just killed a man.”
Thomas said, “He isn’t dead. He’s knocked out. Let’s go before anymore trouble comes our way.”
Ayuri said, “Agreed.”
They ran away and appeared on the main street yet again.
4: The Highway AttackThey ran on the main street and got to a highway. As soon as they got there, Ayuri saw a little girl being attacked and said, “Stay here Thomas.”
Thomas said, “Sure thing. What’s wrong?”
Ayuri answered, “A little girl is being attacked ahead of us.”
Thomas said, “I see. Go on and help the poor girl.”
Ayuri said, “Thank you.”
She ran toward them and the little girl saw her and said, “Someone came.”
Thomas heard that and said, “I see. It’s a trap. What will she do?”
The Great Black Dragon God asked, “Are you going to help her?”
Thomas answered, “Not at all. Tell me what happens. I really want to know.”
The Great Black Dragon God said, “Yessir.”
The people stood up and said, “Little girl, would you like to play with us?”
Ayuri asked, “Who are you calling little girl?”
She stood up and answered, “Me. Thank you for coming to our little trap. You didn’t expect that would you.”
Ayuri heard that and stopped running and said, “I see. You were expecting to ambush someone on the highway.”
The little girl said, “Yes we were. But the person wasn’t you. He is 2 inches smaller than you. He’s the same width. He’s skinny like you. And he’s blind. Do you know him?”
Ayuri said to herself, “What do they want with Thomas Niel?”
The little girl said, “I’m Elizabeth Niel. His descendent. He is my ancestor.”
Ayuri heard that and said, “And you just wanted to meet him.”
Elizabeth said, “I only wanted to meet him. But they wanted to kill him. I was forced into this.”
1 man punched her and Thomas felt that and the Great Black Dragon God asked, “What’s wrong Thomas?”
Thomas answered, “Someone hit me. But no one’s here.”
The Great Black Dragon God heard that and Ayuri asked, “What are you doing? Do you really think that Thomas would forgive you for this?”
They heard that and said, “So you do know him. Where is he and we’ll spare her life?”
The Great Black Dragon God said, “They’ll kill her.”
Thomas heard that and said, “Good enough.”
Ayuri said, “Kill her you say. Come out Thomas.”
Thomas heard that and walked toward them and they attacked Elizabeth in front of her and Thomas moving just like Elizabeth and Ayuri saw that and Elizabeth said, “It hurts. Stop please.”
Thomas heard that and asked, “Who are you people?”
They heard that and answered, “Your family's sworn enemy. The Kawakami Family.”
Thomas heard that and said, “Never heard of the Kawakami Family.”
Ayuri said, “They are a group of magicians that hate the strong. And attack the weak of the strong.”
Thomas said, “I see. Shall we attack them.”
Sadaharu Kawakami said, “Kill her.”
They smiled and a meteorite appeared and they ran away from her and Thomas walked toward the little girl and Elizabeth saw that and Thomas said, “Don’t worry about a thing little girl. I don’t know who you are, but I’ll help you out.”
He took out his staff and as soon as the meteorite got close to them, Thomas swung the staff like a baseball bat and hit the meteorite and it flew out of space and the Kawakami’s saw that and Thomas smiled and Elizabeth hugged him and said, “They killed my parents. Please help me.”
Thomas heard that and Ayuri said, “That’s unforgivable.”
Thomas asked, “What is your name?”
Elizabeth answered, “My name is Elizabeth. Elizabeth Niel.”
Thomas said, “Elizabeth Niel, I’ll avenge your parents. But I won’t kill them though.”
Thomas took his staff and said, “Kawakami’s, come at me.”
Junpei Kawakami said, “Don’t act so tough. You only knocked a meteorite out of the sky.”
Thomas said, “And? You think that a blind man is capable of doing that. This little girl did it.”
Junpei heard that and Elizabeth looked at him and Thomas said, “You aren’t weak at all Elizabeth Niel. And I’ll prove that by being your shield.”
Elizabeth heard that and they started sending dark flames at him and Thomas looked at them and the flames hit him and Elizabeth touched his back and the flames disappeared and then said, “Black Flames of the Black Dragon.”
They appeared in her hands and she threw them at them and they flew in a great speed and Kakuzo Kawakami saw that and said, “The speed of these flames. She’s strong like he said.”
Ienobu Kawakami said, “Mirror.”
The mirror appeared and she turned the flames in different directions and hit the 6 brothers and they flew to the ground and Thomas smiled and said, “See. I told you that you weren’t weak.”
Elizabeth hugged him and said, “Thank you for believing in me.”
Thomas smiled and said, “No problem.”
Ayuri punched them all to make sure that they were knocked out and said, “Thomas, we’ll take her with us on our journey. Plus, she has nowhere to go.”
Thomas said, “I know. She said that they killed her parents. Do you have any other relatives?”
She started crying and Thomas said, “She has no one left. I guess that we have to bring her along. Do you wish to come along?”
Elizabeth answered, “Yes. Please allow me to come.”
Ayuri said, “You could come along. But don’t get into too much trouble.”
Elizabeth said, “OK. By the way, where are we headed?”
Thomas answered, “She won’t tell me. So she won’t tell you either. And now I’m trying to figure out why someone was attacking me with no one in front of me.”
Ayuri said, “That is a good question. But every time she was hit, you moved like her.”
Thomas said, “I see. Wait, what?”
Elizabeth said, “I have no idea what you are talking about.”
Thomas said, “I agree.”
Ayuri laughed and said, “You 2 really are something.”
They said, “Shut up.”
Ayuri said, “Let’s go. We’ll find out why later.”
Thomas said, “Understood.”
The Great Black Dragon God said, “It seems that she has a chain attached to you. Which means whatever she feels, you’ll feel 10 times that.”
Thomas heard that and said to himself, “That’s not cool at all. Why would she have those chains?”
The Great Black Dragon God answered, “She was born with the link. But know one knew who it was connected to.”
Thomas said to himself, “I see. Keep me informed.”
The Great Black Dragon God said, “Yessir.”
Ayuri said, “Let’s go.”
They said, “Yes ma’am.”
They continued to walk on the highway.
5: The Talk With Elizabeth NielWhile they were walking on the highway, Thomas asked, “Why would they attack you?”
Elizabeth answered, “For over 2000 years, the Kawakami Family had a grudge with the Niel Family. No one knows the specifics. But someone killed the Immortal Hunter, Kazuma Kawakami.”
Thomas said, “Oh, why were you out there?”
Elizabeth answered, “I was looking for my grandfather. He’s still alive somewhere.”
Thomas asked, “May I get his name?”
Ayuri said, “I would like to know as well.”
Elizabeth answered, “Lucas Niel.”
Thomas said, “Oh, we met him 3 years ago right.”
Ayuri said, “Yep, he warned us about the Kawakami Family. He said that they were being hunted and to find Elizabeth Niel as soon as possible.”
Thomas said, “I wonder why he said that.”
The Great Black Dragon God said, “The chains.”
Thomas said to himself, “Oh, the chains connecting us together.”
The Great Black Dragon God said, “You know that you had God’s Eye inside of you right.”
Thomas answered to himself, “Nope. I didn’t. I lost my memory remember.”
The Great Black Dragon God said, “Well, I’ll activate it for a little while so that you could see the chains.”
Thomas said to himself, “OK. Do it.”
The Great Black Dragon God said, “God’s Eye activate.”
Thomas opened his eyes and looked at Elizabeth and saw the chains and sighed and said, “I see. It’s quite impressive.”
The Great Black Dragon God deactivated God’s Eye and Ayuri asked, “What’s quite impressive, Thomas?”
Thomas answered, “There’s a chain connecting Elizabeth and I together. Meaning that everything that hits her is hitting me as well. But I feel 10 times the pain.”
Elizabeth heard that and asked, “Why would there be a chain be connecting the 2 of us together?”
Thomas asked, “How am I supposed to know? You were born with the chain. It seems that we need to help out this girl’s grandpa.”
Ayuri said, “I agree. He’s a strong man after all.”
Sadaharu said, “You’ll never locate him. He isn’t on Earth anymore.”
Everyone heard that and Elizabeth said, “I see. They are at the Kawakami’s Secret Base in New Akihabara.”
Sadaharu said, “I shouldn’t have said anything.”
Thomas said, “Thank you. I know exactly where it is too. Right outside of the Heavens.”
Sadaharu grinned and Elizabeth said, “Sleep.”
She put her hands out and Sadaharu collapsed and started snoring and Ayuri said, “OK, let’s take out the Kawakami Family together.”
Thomas said, “I agree. We’ll save your grandpa.”
Elizabeth said, “Thank you. No wonder my grandpa was so happy when he talked about you. You are an amazing guy that helps people for a living.”
Thomas heard that and said, “I don’t remember that at all. But if you say so.”
Ayuri laughed and said, “Well, we should get out of here before they wake up.”
Elizabeth said, “Don’t worry miss. They won’t wake up for another 4 hours.”
Thomas said, “She’s strong.”
Ayuri said, “And they called her weak.”
Elizabeth said, “I’m sorry, but I am weak.”
Thomas said, “Don’t say that Elizabeth. You took out 6 guys all by yourself. Am I right Ayuri?”
Ayuri said, “You did well Elizabeth. There is no need to worry about being weak. Your grandpa will be proud of you.”
Elizabeth heard that and asked, “Could I hold your hand Thomas?”
Thomas smiled and put his hand out and said, “Sure thing. Is that the direction that you’re in?”
Elizabeth answered, “Yep.”
She grabbed his hand and they started walking to New Akihabara. As soon as they got there, the people stared at Elizabeth and said, “Welcome back Elizabeth. Who are they?”
Elizabeth answered, “This man is Thomas Niel, the head of the Niel Family. And the girl is....she is....uh, I don’t know.”
Ayuri said, “I’m Ayuri Hamasaki.”
Thomas asked, “Am I really the head of the Niel Family?”
The Great Black Dragon God answered, “Yes you are sir. You’ve been alive longer than everyone in this world. No one knows your true age.”
Thomas sighed and the people of New Akihabara said, “Sir Niel, you need to be worry of the Kawakami Family. They are very dangerous people.”
Ayuri said, “We know that. But Elizabeth here took out 6 of them all by herself.”
They heard that and said, “Congratulations Lady Niel. You are the next head of the family right.”
Elizabeth answered, “Nope. My grandpa is.”
They heard that and the Mayor of New Akihabara, Yasutoki Hagiwara said, “Good timing then. We just saw the Kawakami Family carrying him to there secret base. He seemed pretty beat up.”
Thomas said, “OK. That means that we came just in time. It seems that we’re almost there as well.”
Ayuri asked, “Do you know where the secret base is Thomas?”
Thomas answered, “Yep. 5 blocks ahead and turn left. Go straight another 3 blocks and turn right. Go straight till you see an irregular building. That’s there secret base.”
Yasutoki said, “It’s a good thing that you found him Elizabeth.”
Elizabeth said, “No, they found me.”
Yasutoki asked, “Is that so?”
Thomas answered, “Ayuri found her. I’m blind.”
Yasutoki said, “Just like Lucas.”
Ayuri said to herself, “That means that Lucas is a Dragon as well. But what kind of Dragon are they? That’s what I want to know.”
Thomas said, “Let’s go save your grandpa.”
Elizabeth said, “OK.”
Ayuri said, “Side missions are awesome, but why can’t we just get to my surprise already?”
Thomas answered, “Her grandpa is the only relative that she has left.”
Elizabeth said, “You are a relative.”
Thomas said, “I don’t count.”
Elizabeth said, “Oh, I guess that you could say that. Wait a minute, you’re my ancestor.”
Thomas laughed and said, “She confused herself there for a moment. Let’s just save your grandpa. I want my surprise.”
Elizabeth heard that and Ayuri said, “It’s quite amazing. I just hope that we don’t get interrupted.”
Thomas said, “We already did. 2 times.”
Ayuri said, “And that wasn’t our fault.”
Thomas said, “Yeah, I know. We’re wanted people. The worst team duo in the world.”
Ayuri laughed and said, “I see. The strongest 2 people vs. the world is quite amazing.”
Elizabeth heard that and said, “That’s true.”
They started walking and everyone said, “Good luck. Go save Lucas. We’ll be counting on you. Make sure to bring him back. This town needs him. Please save him.”
Thomas smiled and said, “He’s well-known in this town.”
Elizabeth said, “That’s because we live here. I followed a caravan that was holding him. Then the 6 of them jumped me out of nowhere.”
Ayuri said, “I see. They kidnapped him in front of everyone.”
Elizabeth said, “Yep. I followed them for 10 days straight. Without food, water or sleep.”
Thomas said, “You did well to do all of that. I’ll praise you for that. But you could die you know.”
Elizabeth said, “That’s the thing. I can’t die.”
Ayuri said, “You’re Immortal too.”
Elizabeth answered, “Yes. I died last year. My grandfather didn’t want that, so he revived me from the dead by making me drink his blood.”
Thomas said, “So you are a Dragon.”
Elizabeth said, “Yep. How’d you know?”
Thomas answered, “Because your grandpa is a Dragon as well. Drinking Dragon’s blood makes you a Dragon immediately. How’d you die?”
Elizabeth answered, “The Kawakami Family sent flying swords at me. 30 of the swords out of 200 hit me.”
Thomas said, “I see.”
Ayuri said, “You do.”
Thomas answered, “Yes. It is very difficult to kill a member of the Niel Family. The Niel Family are enforced with skin that are far superior than normal human beings. So we don’t get hurt that easily.”
Elizabeth said, “You are right about that. It seems that you are smarter than you look.”
Thomas said, “Not really. I just read a little into the Niel Family. And how famous they are.”
Ayuri asked, “How famous are they Thomas?”
Thomas answered, “For over 2000 years, the Niel Family has dominated their opponents. Kawakami Family is a sworn enemy to the Niel Family and are willing to do anything to annihilate them. Killing your parents and kidnapping your grandpa is only the beginning. As soon as you, Lucas and I die, they will be done with there goals. And they’ll be the #1 family in the world. But you can’t allow that right.”
Elizabeth said, “Yeah, I can’t allow that.”
Ayuri said, “Then let’s annihilate them instead.”
Thomas said, “That’s what I planned on doing. Annihilating the enemy of this little girl.”
Ayuri heard that and fire appeared in his eyes and Elizabeth said, “He’s evil.”
Thomas smiled and said, “Don’t say that Elizabeth. This is the best that could happen. Plus, it’s been 4 hours. They should be on their way here right now.”
Ayuri said, “You are talking about the 6 men that she defeated on her own.”
Thomas nodded and Elizabeth asked, “Isn’t that bad? We’re up against 200 people. And we’re only 3 guys.”
Thomas said, “It’ll be alright. We’re here for you.”
Ayuri said, “He’s right. We defeated more than just them.”
Thomas asked, “Why question it? We’re here to protect you.”
Elizabeth heard that and said, “Thank you. No one has ever been so nice to me before. Except for my grandpa. Everyone else treats me like a destroyer and a monster.”
Thomas said, “You aren’t a monster. You are a Dragon that will help your grandpa out. Have no regrets. That’s how I live.”
Ayuri said, “Regrets get you nowhere. They only make you regret life altogether. Then you’ll want to die.”
Elizabeth heard that and said, “I see. Let’s go then.”
They ran to the secret base and as soon as they got there, the 6 members that she defeated were there and waited for them.
