Chapter One

All schools have cliques, so it doesn’t come as a surprize that this high school in Seattle, Washington does as well. There are the Jocks, the populars, the nerds, the weirdos, and then there’s the punks.

Each of these cliques do their own thing. Jocks are into sports and partying. The populars are into keeping up a reputation. The nerds are usually into books and or video games. The weirdos… well, they just do their own thing. And the Punks, They’re the delinquents of the school.

Each of these groups also have leaders, who are referred to as heads of cliques. The jock's head is Andrew Smith. The popular’s head is Janette Ashton. The nerd’s head is Bruce Morne. The weirdo’s head is Gavin Johnson. And the Punk’s head is Dashie Krux.

But for now, we focus on Eva Hawkins, part of the Punk clique. Eva is your typical Teenage punk and then some. She has short, black hair with a light blue strip in her hair and green eyes. She has a dark blue denim jacket that is cut off under the chest area. A yellow pentagram is stitched on her jacket. Underneath it, she wears a pink and black striped shirt. She has tight dark blue jeans. She’s skinny and always looks like she’s bored. Her eyes were sunken. The makeup she wore was blue eyeshadow and bright red lipstick. There was a black piercing under her lip, and three more on each of her ears. She’s usually called Dizz by her friends.

It was now lunch time at school. The student's gathered in the lunchroom for their food. Eva sat with her friends and were the first ones to sit down.

Of Eva’s friends, were Kyle Clark, Marceline Davenport, and Dashie himself.

Kyle had long black hair and pale skin. He Wore dark clothes and a chain necklace. Being new to the group, He came toward the beginning of this school year.

Marceline has long blond hair with a pink stripe.  Her  clothes we’re pretty revealing. She had a spike necklace and black makeup.

Dashie was a tall, muscular, black man.So well built that sometimes, he intimidated the Jocks. He wore a black leather jacket with spikes.

The group  gossiped as other students walked into the lunch room.

“Here comes Janette.” Marceline said. “Fucking bulimic slut.”

The others started to laugh.  Eva Chimed in, “Last I checked, you’re a bit of a slut too.”

“So are you.” Marceline laughed.

“Oh yeah.” Dashie said. “That reminds me, that time of the year’s comin’ up again.”

“Oh yeah, this’ll be good. Who’s doin’ it this year?” Marceline said, she turned to face Dashie and Eva turned with her.

“We’ll discuss it tonight, like always.”

“What are you guys talking about?” Kyle asked.

Dashie placed his hand on Kyle’s back. “You’ll find out tonight homie.”

Right then, someone else walked into the cafeteria, someone that nobody had seen there before.

“Looks like we’ve got a drifter.” Eva said.

A drifter is what Eva and her friends call new kids, because they haven’t been around long enough to become one of the cliques, so they drift around.

The new kid had short brown hair and blue eyes. He Had a pretty average build  a smile on his face that seemed to welcome anybody.

“Hey.” Dashie called to him.

He looked over and pointed to himself, asking if they were who he was talking to.

“Yeah you, come over here.”

“What do you need?” He asked.

“What’s you name?” Dashie asked.

“Alex Light.” He said with a smile. “Is that all?”

“Yeah, that’s it.”

Alex didn’t say another word and started walking away.

“You gonna do what I think you’re gonna do?” Eva asked.

“Of course I am, Remember tonight at Midnight guys. We all meet in the park.”

“I’m dying to find out what’s going on.” Kyle said.

When lunch was over, everyone went to their next class.

Eva’s next class was algebra. She was good at it, but she didn’t like doing it. She sat up front of the room because the teacher wanted to be able to keep an eye on her.

The teacher’s name was Jim Thawton.

He wore a tweed suit and glasses. His hair was short and brown and he had a short beard.

When the class started. Mr. Thawton turned his attention to Eva.

“Eva, you take that jacket off right now.” He said.

“Why?”

“Because, it’s satanic, take it off right now.” He was remaining calm.

“How about you make me, you fucking pervert.”

Mr. Thawton’s face started to get red. “Excuse me?” He said holding in his anger.

“You heard me, You’re a fucking pervert!”

He tried to keep his composure. “I do not like that type of language in my class, and where do you get off calling me a pervert?”

“You’re trying to make me take off my clothes, dip shit.”

He had finally snapped. “THAT’S IT! GO TO THE PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE RIGHT NOW!”

Eva stood up, knocked Mr. Thawton’s books off his desk and headed out the door.

Eva almost had a smile on her face as she walked down the hall.

She made it to the office. There were two people in the room other than her. A smaller woman who was the secretary, and a fat black man who was the principal. His name was Louie Binkman.

He heard someone walk in and turned to see who it was. When he saw Eva, he knew exactly what had happened.

“Come with me miss Hawkins.” He said in a deep voice.

They walked into his private office where they sat down across from each other.

“What happened with Mr. Thawton this time?” He asked

“He’s trying to make me get naked in class.” Eva replied.

“Uh huh, so what really happened?” He said as he organized some papers.

Eva sighed. “He didn’t like my jacket, he said it’s satanic.”

“Well, it does have a pentagram on it. Is that all?”

“I may have dropped the F-bomb a couple times.”

Mr. Binkman took a deep breath.

“I’m trying miss Hawkins, I really am, but if you keep up this sort of behavior, I’m going to have to expel you. You’re a good student, or at least you were before you started hanging out with those punks.”

“They’re my friends.” Eva looked out the window. there were rain drops falling on the glass.

“Look at me.” Mr. Binkman said.

Eva looked at him.

“You need to stop this behavior. Next time just take off your Jacket okay.”

Eva rolled her eyes. “Fine…”

“Head back to class now, and I don’t want to hear from you again today.”

“Yeah, whatever.” She said as she walked out of the room.

After school, she walked home with Dashie, he lived on the same street as her.

The rain was light, just a sprinkle. The sky was getting dark from the autumn season, a few orange leaves fell to the sidewalks Pavement.

“So who’s gonna be it this year?” She asked.

“You’re just gonna have to find out.” Dashie said.

He pulled out a pack of cigarettes and lit one as he put it into  his mouth.

“So Dizz, I heard you got into a fight with Thawton.”

“Yeah, the son of a bitch wanted me to take off my jacket.”

Dashie puffed out smoke. “What a perv.”

“That’s what I’m saying.”

They didn’t say anything for a while.

“You want some?” Dashie said as he held out his pack of cigarettes.

“Nah, I’m not into cigarettes.”

Eventually, they came to Eva’s house. “See you tonight.” She said.

“See ya.”

Eva opened the door to her house.

Just as she was about to walk into her room, a man walked up behind her and spoke. The man was her father, dressed in a suit , he had just gotten back from work.

“Eva.” He said. “You’re mother got a call from school today, We can’t let this behavior go unpunished.”

“Oh yeah? And what are you going to do about it?”

“That’s what you’re mother and I are figuring out right now.” He put his hands on his hips.

“Fine, and by the way, I’m gonna be leaving tonight to meet up with my friends.”

“Oh, well no you’re not. There’s your punishment right there, you can’t see your friends outside of school for a month.”

Eva gave a grimace. “You can’t do that!” She shouted.

“Yes I can, I’m your father.”

Eva scoffed and ran into her room.

“That fucking asshole!”

Eva looked out her window. “Maybe I’ll just leave anyways.” She thought. “I’ll be back before they even know it, but I should wait till after dinner.”

Eva began to grin.

2: Chapter Two
Chapter Two

After dinner, Eva waited until it was midnight in her room.

She slowly made her way to her window and opened it.

A sweat dripped down from her forehead in fear she might get caught.

She stuck her head through the window and climbed out.

She breathed heavily hoping she wouldn’t get caught. Eva took off for the local park to meet her friends.

“Where is that bitch.” Marceline said while she waited with Kyle and Dashie.

“She’s probably just running a little late.” Dashie said.

“Is that her?” Kyle said.

They looked off into the distance and saw someone coming.

“Hmm…” Dashie though. “Can’t tell if it’s Dizz or not from here. It’s kinda dark out.”

The figure walked closer to them, but it wasn’t Eva. It was a man dressed in a police uniform.

“You three know it’s past curfew right?” He said.

“I’m an adult officer.” Dashie said.

“Let me see some identification then.” The officer said.

Dashie grabbed his wallet and showed him his driver's license.

The officer pulled out a flashlight so he could see it.

“Alright.” He said. “Story checks out. Don’t get into any trouble you hear.”

“Yeah…” Dashie

The officer walked away without questioning them any further.

“What a chump.” Marceline said.

Kyle laughed. “You told him good Dashie.”

“All I did was show him my driver’s license.” Dashie said.

“Well, While we’re waiting for Dizz, I might as well ask you something.” Marceline said.

“What’s that?” Dashie asked.

“When you graduate, who’s gonna take your spot as Head?”

“Hmm.” He pondered. “I don’t know, maybe Dizz, but I’m not sure.”

“Why not me?” Kyle asked.

“Because you’re still new.”

Dashie pulled out his pack of cigarettes.

“Can I get one?” Marceline asked.

He pulled out a cigarette and handed it to her.

“You want one Kyle?” Dashie asked.

“Nah, I’m good.” Kyle said.

Kyle looked off into the distance once again. “Now is it Dizz?” He asked.

Dashie and Marceline looked to where he was looking. They saw what looked like a girl running toward them.

“Yeah, that’s Dizz.”

“Fuck, I guess we won’t be able to finish this cig, I know she hates these things.”

“I didn’t find that out until today actually, when we were walkin’ home.” Dashie said.

Eva finally made it up to them and took some deep breaths. Marceline and Dashie put out their cigarettes.

“Took you long enough.” Marceline said.

“Sorry, by bitch parents wouldn’t let me come, I had to sneak out.” Eva replied.

“All that matters is that you’re here.” Dashie said. “So Kyle, now I’ll tell you why we’re here.”

“Can I ask something real quick?” Kyle asked.

“Go ahead.”

Okay, I don’t know why it took me so long to ask, but why do we call Eva, Dizz?”

“My middle name is Dizabelle.” Eva said.

“Okay… The more you know right?” Kyle gave a nervous laugh.

“Okay, now for what we’re really here for. So Kyle, every year, We do this little challenge, Usually it’s at least four times a year so everyone can get a chance.”

“Okay, just tell me what it is.” Kyle was getting impatient.

“Calm down man. I’ll tell you. You see, we take some loser, this year it’ll be that drifter, uh… I think his name was Alex. Anyways, one of us is gonna take that loser as fuck with his emotions.” Dashie started to laugh.

“How? What’s so funny?”

Dashie composed himself. “Okay, so Dizz, you’re it.”

“What the fuck! I was it first last year!” Eva said.

“It was gonna be Marci, but you we’re late so you’re gonna be it first.”

“Thanks Dizz, There’s no way I’d let him inside me.” Marceline said.

“Can you guys stop and just tell me what’s going on?” Kyle shouted.

“I have to date the runt.” Eva said. “And I have to fuck him, and right after that, I dump him, It’s something we always do, just for shits and giggles and plus, we get some free sex from it. Although sometimes it’s not good sex.”

“Y-you have to have sex with Alex? And you’ve done this before? What about STDs?”

“Don’t worry.” Marceline said. “We use condoms.”

“Do you ever do it with people in the group?”

“No, there’s no point in that.” Dashie said.

“That seems kind of heartless.” Kyle crossed his arms.

“Stop whining about it.” Marceline said. “Or are you getting Jealous or something? You want to be the one to sleep with Dizz?”

“What! No!”

“She’d probably do it.” Marceline started to laugh. “I’d do it.”

Kyle started to blush. “You… Would…”

“I don’t think I’d do it.” Eva said.

“That’s cold as shit.” Dashie said.

“Oh! Say that thing I like.” Marceline said hopping up and down.

“I don’t think it would work in this context.”

“Come on, just say it!”

Dashie laughed. “Bitch ass.”

Marceline started clapping and laughing. “God, I love that.”

“Hey!” A familiar voice shouted.

A man ran over to them, when he was close enough, the light from the street lights shined off of his glasses.

“What do you delinquents think you’re doing!?” He shouted.

“Fuck, it’s Thawton.” Eva said.

“What are you doing here!?” Mr. Thawton said.

“Chill out James.” Marceline said.

“You show me respect miss Davenport! You call me Mr. Thawton. Not Jim, Not James, Not Thawton! Mr. Thawton.”

“You better relax or I might have to tell the teacher about last month.” Marceline taunted.

Mr. Thawton grinded his teeth.

“You go home right now, Or you’re paren—”

“What are YOU doing out so late?” Eva stated. “You’re a fucking teacher.”

“I… I was… THAT’S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! Go home now, and I’ll, we won’t have to worry about this later.”

“Is that alcohol in your breath?” Dashie questioned.

Mr. Thawton sighed. “Okay… What do you kids want? Money? Is that what you want, to keep you quiet.”

“I don’t want your money man.” Dashie said.

“I’ll take your money.” Marceline said. “That’ll keep me quiet.”

“I’ve already paid you. Just go home.” Mr. Thawton walked away.

“What are you talking about Marci?” Kyle asked.

“He’d probably kill me if I told you.” Marceline said.

“Did you sleep with him?” Eva asked.

“You didn’t hear that from me.” She laughed. “But uh… Don’t mention it to anybody else, because I feel like he seriously will kill me.”

“My lips are sealed.” Eva said.

“That goes for you two too.” She said to Dashie and Kyle.

“Don’t worry Marci, I won’t talk about it.” Kyle said.

“Neither will I.” Dashie said. “Listen, we should all get home. Dizz, you can get workin’ on Alex tomorrow.”

“Yeah.” Eva replied.

“Hey Kyle.” Marceline said. “How about you come home with me tonight.” She wrapped her arms around Kyle. “Remember what I said earlier, about how I’d have sex with you.”

Kyle’s face began to turn a bright shade of red.

“See you guys tomorrow.” Dashie said.

“Yeah, see ya.” Eva said.

Eva ran home and to her back yard. She climbed into her room from the window.

Her light was already off, so all she had to do was get in her bed. Before she could, the light turned on.

Her dad was standing in the doorway with his finger on the light switch.

“Did you think I wouldn’t notice?” He said. “I specifically said you couldn't see them.” His voice was calm, he didn’t want to wake the rest of the family.

“You don’t control my life.” Eva said.

“I probably should. If it weren't for me and Edith you’d be in jail right now. You know I don’t like those friends of yours.”

“I don’t care about what you do and don’t like.”

Her father sighed. “You use to be such a good kid.” He started to walk out. “Where did I go wrong?” He said as he walked out of the room.

Eva counted this as a win. She took off her clothes and got in her bed to sleep until the morning.
