The first sign

~~
Amber laid back in her chair and stared outside. It was a beautiful October day, but she was stuck inside doing her homework. She wanted to go outside and feel the cool wind on her face, the cool breeze that would nip at her ears. To smell the scent of the leaves and hear the sound of the critters roaming the forest. Amber put her pencil down. She could hear her friend walking up to the door. She smiled. She had been inside all day. Her mother would surely shoo her outside where she belonged. The doorbell rang. Amber stayed in her room listening intently at the conversation going on downstairs. “Hello Miss Gray, is Amber home?” said a voice. “Yes she is. Why don't you come on in?” she heard her friend walk into her house. “She's upstairs in her room,” said her mother. She heard her friend run up the stairs. Knowing her friend, she walked over to the door and opened it hearing a gasp in response. “How did you know I was coming?” Amber smiled. “Gee I don’t know? Maybe it’s the fact that I heard an elephant running up the stairs? Speaking of elephants,” Amber said as she tried to look over her friends shoulder, “I could have sworn I heard an elephant, but all I see is you.”  Her friend smirked, “very funny Amber, but I was as quiet as could be. Being silent is my specialty.”

“So making elephant sounds is your talent, and you trying to be quiet? I'll make a note of that.”

“Really Amber. I was so quiet I couldn't even hear my own foot steps,” said her friend in a pouting tone. “Ok Grace. I suppose I have some sort of superhuman hearing then?” said Amber in a sarcastic tone. “Maybe you do,” said Grace. “I can never sneak up on you.”

“Yes you can. You just need to figure out when you can catch me off guard.” Grace rolled her eyes. “Come on let’s go outside,” she said while pushing Amber down the stairs.

Grace and Amber ran outside. The wind blew soundlessly in their faces. Amber enjoyed the cool sensation on her face, only to be caught unexpectedly as Grace pushed her into a pile of leaves. Amber got up. “Thanks a lot Grace. Now I’ll have to take another shower,” muttered amber. Grace rolled her eyes again. “Come on. I found the perfect tree back in the woods.” Amber followed Grace into the woods. She loved the scent of leaves that have fallen, the sound of the animals running through the forest, and the safe feeling she always seemed to get whenever she entered them. “Here it is,” Grace said and she ran to the tree. The tree was an old oak tree with branches that were only low enough to jump on. Grace jumped and grabbed one of the branches pulling herself up. Amber followed her. The two girls climbed to the top of the tree. Amber stopped at the top when the sweet scent of deer filled her nostrils. Amber pointed her nose into the direction of the scent. Not far from where they were, a young fawn was grazing next to its mother. Amber pointed to the deer. “Look,” she said in a quiet tone. Grace followed her finger ‘till she saw the deer. “Wow,” Grace replied. “They’re beautiful.” Amber nodded with agreement. The two girls watched the deer until the mother herded her fawn out of the clearing. They stayed in the tree ‘till the sun began to set, and they had to go home. Amber raced home in time for dinner. Her father had made her favorite dinner: Venison sausage.  Amber’s father was a hunter and would bring home some of the animal meat he had retrieved from his hunt. Amber quickly finished her meal, left her plate and went upstairs to finish her homework. As soon as she closed the door, she heard a ringing in her ear. Trying to get rid of the sound, she rubbed her ear, but it only got worse. Amber, feeling the pain in her ear, fell on her bed. The sound seemed to grow louder and louder ‘till she finally couldn’t take it and blacked out.

The shadow

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Amber opened her eyes. She was in a forest. Having no idea where she was, she looked around. She felt her hands burn and lifted them up. They were red, very red. “Ow, ow, ow, ow,” she whimpered as she stood up. She heard a growling and turned around. A wolf stood before her. Its pelt as black as a shadow with lines that were as white as snow, but then she realized that the lines were really symbols, and its chest had a white triangle. It growled at Amber in a tone that made her feel weak and helpless. “What- what do do you want?” Amber asked, scared that it might attack. The wolf stopped growling and turned around in a motion beckoning her to follow. Amber followed the wolf down a narrow path weaving in and out, around and sometimes dodging the trees branches, until they came to a clearing where the trees formed a perfect circle and a rock laid in the middle. The wolf walked up to the rock and sat down raising its head and letting out a long low howl. The branches of all the trees seemed to wave until the leaves twirled around her. She watched as leaves swirled around the trees and then stopped leaving a symbol on each tree. The wolf walked over to Amber nudging her toward the rock. There laid a necklace with five symbols on it. The third was a wolf. Not sure what to do, Amber picked it up. The wolf seemed to nod toward her. She gently unhooked the clasp, placed it around her throat, and clasped it back together. She heard a voice whisper in her ear. “ The Alpha has been found. Now the pack is complete.” Amber felt pain throughout her entire body. After a few moments, the pain subsided. She looked down feeling weird. She had paws. She felt something behind her and jumped when her tail wagged. She was a wolf. Amber tried to scream, but nothing came out. She glared at the wolf. Horror and hate was in her eyes. “Relaxe. Soon you will be able to shift back and forth with ease,” a voice seemed to say in her head. Confusion in her eyes, she looked at the other wolf. “I will explain soon my pup. Now you must run through this forest to break free from this dream, and connect with your wolf. Go now, but do so quickly, for this forest will fall without you.”  She looked over to the wolf who seemed to vanish into the darkness. She looked down at her paws and began to run.
Amber woke up to her mother staring at her. “Oh Amber,” her mother said worry in her voice. “Mom?” Amber said confused. “Where am I.”
“You're in the hospital Amber. I thought we lost you,” said her mother as she wrapped her arms around Amber’s neck. “Mom why am I in the hospital?” Amber asked confused. Her mother looked into her eyes. “You were having a seizure. The doctor still can’t explain what happened.”
“Ok? But I don’t remember having a seizure mom. All I really remember is seeing a wolf and then everything going black.”
“You saw a wolf?”
“I guess. It was a blurry vision mom. I suppose it could be part of a seizure.” Amber said questionly.
“Right. That’s probably all it was,” her mother said reassuring herself.
“So when do we go home?” Amber asked annoyed. Her mother looked sadly into her eyes. “They need to do some experiments on you to find out why you had the seizure,” said her mother. “Don’t worry honey. We will visit you every day. I promise.” Amber stared at her mother disbelief in her eyes. “What are you talking about? Of course I’m coming home.” Amber didn’t want to be left here alone. She had always feared hospitals. It was her worst nightmare to be left in a hospital. “No honey you have to stay here,” finished her mother as she left the room.
Amber woke up to a nurse shaking her awake. “Wake up miss,” the women said annoyance in her voice. Amber sighed. “Let me guess. Another shot?” Amber asked tiredly. “No,” said the nurse. I'm getting you out of here. “I thought-” “Shut up and let’s go. We don’t have much time,” the nurse said as she pulled Amber out of the bed. Amber looked at the nurse confused. “What's going on?” asked Amber. “I’m saving your life. Now let’s go,” The nurse said as she pushed Amber out the door. Amber walked down the halls following the nurse’s every move, moving from room to room until they came to the exit. “You st-”
 “Shhh. You need to be quiet, unless you want to be experimented on some more,” whispered the nurse. Amber, not daring to speak another word, closed her mouth. The nurse quietly slipped Amber out the door. “There are others like you not far from here,” the nurse said pointing to the road. “Follow the road and turn left into the forest. You should come to a rock with a symbol of a wolf on it. Say the code which should be, ‘The wolves will rise when darkness is upon us.’”
 “Ok but why?”
“No time. Now go. They will help you,” the nurse said as she pushed her toward her path. Amber looked down the road then looked over. The nurse had left. Amber followed the path running down the road then turned into the forest. Not sure where to go, she looked around for a rock. She heard a whisper in her ear, “Relax. Let your senses take over, and you will find your home.” Amber relaxed and closed her eyes. She remembered a path. She opened her eyes and looked around. She noticed how she remembered this forest but she didn’t know how. Amber started to walk. Somehow her feet were moving her, yet she wasn’t willing them to. After a few moments she found it. Amber knelt down and examined the rock and spoke the exact words the nurse had told her. “The wolves will rise when darkness is upon us.” The rock seemed to shift and move befor her as the symbol glowed and the rock broke open leaving a dark hole in its place. Amber found a ladder and climbed down. She landed with a soft thud. The room was very dark and eerie. She wasn’t sure where she was now as she placed her hand on a wall. “Hello,” she called into the darkness. “Is anyone here?” Amber said as she followed the wall lining. Amber felt her hand brush up against something soft. Trying to make out what it was, she looked at her hand. “Stop right there,” came a male voice. She froze as a hand grabbed her shoulder. “Who are you?” came the voice again. “My name is Amber. I was told to come here. I don’t know why,” Amber responded fearfully. “Alright follow me,” the voice said as he released her. “Where are you?” Amber asked stupidly. “Let me guess. You can’t see in the dark?” replied the voice.
“How is that even possible?” Amber asked confused.
“Just follow the sound of my voice.”
5: The pack
The pack
~~
Listening to the man’s voice, she followed him through the twists and turns as he told her to jump, balance, and run until they finally came to a door.  She heard a sound, and the door opened. Amber stared in awe as she walked into the room. It was like an underground home, but bigger. The walls were layered with leather, and a long table with food set on it sat in the middle of the room. It looked to her like a medieval castle. Torches lit up the room with a warm glow and the walls however were covered in deer skin and pelts. There were also a lot of weapons, all still shining and gleaming with sharpness, hung on the walls. Amber looked around noticing more entrances. “Welcome to the pack Amber.” Amber turned around and faced the man. He was no older than her. “The pack?” Amber said questionly. The man smirked. “Follow me,” he said as he walked over to the table. “Go ahead. Sit down,” he said as he took a seat next to her. “Where is the rest of my pack? The food is ready!” called the man. There was a high pitch howl in response as two wolves, fighting, came through one of the entrances. Amber looked at the wolves and tried to find a place to hide. “STOP THIS CUBLIKE BEHAVIOR NOW!!” the man yelled to the wolves who immediately stopped fighting. Amber watched as the two wolves shifted into human form one male and one female. “Oh come on Ken. We were just having…” the women trailed off. “Ken? Who is this?” the women asked with danger in her eyes. “Our new recruit,” said Ken as he gestured to her to come. Amber walked over to Ken. “I don’t understand,” was all she could say.  Ken looked at her confused. “You should know, if you have the amulet.”
“No. I don’t know. I have no idea what’s going on.” Amber said just noticing her amulet. Ken rolled his eyes annoyed. “Great. Just great. She’s a cub,” said the woman angrily. Amber looked at Ken. “Cub?”
“It means you were freshly chosen by one of the ancient wolves,” answered another man.
“So I was bitten?” asked Amber, trying to understand. “ No you weren't. You're a cub. A wolf cub. You don’t know how to shift into a wolf yet,” the man said annoyed. Ken looked at Amber. “Shine I want you to teach our new recruit here how to become a wolf before you eat. Understood?” “What? Why do I have to teach this cub?” responded the woman. “Because I said! Now GO!” responded Ken. Shine looked at Amber. “Fine. Let’s go girl,” said Shine as she turned and walked away. Amber followed her into a room. She was amazed by it. The room was huge with trees everywhere. Twigs and rocks laid on the ground where she stood and animals seemed to run everywhere. She looked over spotting a waterfall. “How did you guy-” “Shut Up and listen kid,” said Shine. “This is our dream room, constructed to look exactly like your dream. Every wolf has a dream of them being in a forest just like this one. In order for you to become a wolf you must remember what wolf you met when you received your amulet, and the tree that showed you your symbol,” Shine grabbed Amber by the hand and dragged her to a rock. “Do you recognize this rock?” Shine asked while pointing to a rock with a bunch of symbols on it. “Yes, I do. There was a black wolf laying next to it,” Amber said while trying to remember what exactly happened. Shine glared at Amber. “What did the wolf look like?” Shine asked carefully. “All black with white symbols on its pelt,” said Amber. Shine looked at Amber. “Ok. Look at these trees. Which tree showed its symbol to you?” asked Shine, as she pointed to all the trees that surrounded them. Amber, trying to remember what she saw, closed her eyes. “All of them,” Amber said as she opened her eyes. “All the trees showed me a symbol.” Shine looked at Amber and laughed. “That’s impossible. Only the most powerful wolf can see that, and that was the pack leader a long time ago. However he gave up his power to train the next pack leader and that’s Ken. Not you.”
“Then why did I see all the symbols?”
“ I don’t know!!!! Maybe you're just lying.”
“I’m not lying! Why would I have a reason to? I don’t even know what's going on!” said Amber
“Alright. Well if you're truly the element wolf, you would have to know the wolf who had held the power before you, which is Shadow.”
Amber froze as she remembered her dream. She remembered running through the forest and hearing the whispers of a voice. “I am Shadow. Remember me now and become like me.” Suddenly Amber felt pain. She felt it in her back and within her body as she began to shift into the wolf. Amber looked around. She looked at Shine as Shine looked back at her. To Shine, Amber’s form was beautiful. Amber was all white with some golden tips of her fur. As she looked into Amber's eyes, which had changed into a silver glow, her tail instead of ending black it ended in gold to her. It almost looked like every tip of her fur was painted gold. “Amber. You are the element wolf,” said Shine as she shifted into her form which was a simple gray wolf”
Shine looked at Amber speaking within her mind. “Follow me. You must make your first kill, otherwise you won’t be able to communicate with us,” said Shine as she bolted into the forest.  Wondering how to talk to her, Amber followed Shine. Shine lead Amber to a small clearing. She looked at Amber and then looked at a young rabbit. Shine, nodding her wolf head, looked to Amber again as they both ambushed the rabbit. Shine bit down on its ear dragging it back to Amber, as Amber finished it off with a bite to the throat. Shine looked at Amber. “Think of me as my wolf. Think of my heart as it starts to beat. Feel it in your heart. Let your heart’s beat match with mine and let your breath match my breath. Then speak my name in your mind,” said Shine as she looked into Amber's eyes. Amber closed her eyes. She felt the wind blow at her fur, but it was not wind, and she knew this. She listened to the soft sound of a beating heart and listened as it grew louder and louder. Then, letting her heart beat match the sound, she relaxed and heard. Then she breathed out as the wind hit her fur and breathed in as the wind stopped. She then spoke Shine’s name within hers. “Shine.” Amber opened her eyes and looked at Shine. Amazement showed in Shine’s eyes as she spoke to Amber. “Welcome to the pack.” Amber looked at Shine. “How do I return to my human form?” Shine looked at Amber. “I’m not sure. It's usually different for everyone.”
“so you're saying that I’m going to stay a wolf?” Amber said as she whimpered. Shine rolled her emerald eyes “no, Its just different for every wolf. you kinda just shift into a human naturally but it take more than one day Amber. everyone has their own way. Normally we have to have a dream in our wolf form in order to learn how to return. It can take days, if not weeks. No wolf has ever shifted after one day of being a wolf. Come on Amber I need to tell Ken that you shifted.” With that Shine returned to her human form gesturing Amber to follow as she exited the room.
“Well look who it is, looks like our new cub finally shifted” called a male voice “Shut up Ash!” Shine said with annoyance in her voice. Amber looked around enjoying the scent of the food. Ken walked over to amber and knelt down so his eyes met hers. “Well done Shine, The rest of the pack is eating go on ahead I’ll be there shortly.” Ken said and waved her away. Ken shifted into his wolf form a black wolf with a white tipped tail. Amber looked at his form then communicated with him “So whats going to happen now?” Amber said annoyed that he kept staring at her fur. Ken let out a low growl and lunged at Amber “What are you doing!” Amber yelped in surprised and quickly dodged him. “I am the Alpha you are lower than me and you will not be leader” Ken growled as he lunged again. Amber dogged him again turning around to face him. “you are a cub with still much to learn.” Ken growled again and lunged at her this time Amber spun around tripping Ken and nipped at his Hind leg. “Stop attacking me. I get your the alpha and I don’t plan on taking you down!” said Amber as she bit down on his hind leg. Ken yelped in response as she released his paw. Ken lunged at Amber again biting her ear. Amber yelped in pain as she rolled on her back kicking him with her paws. She then lunged at Ken as she knocked him down her paws laid on his chest as their eyes met each others Kens face was in a snarl but slowly went away he looked into her eyes.To him they were beautiful eyes. Ken’s sapphire eyes met her silver eyes “Please stop attacking me” Amber said as she jumped off of him. “Look you need to remember that I am alpha and I will not tolerate another alpha” was all Ken said as he walked away still in wolf form. Amber rolled her eyes as she followed him.
7: The dream and shadow
The dream and shadow
Amber laid down in her new bed still in wolf form the bed was made of moss and grass she rolled on her back trying to fall asleep but couldn't, growling in defeat she wandered outside her den and walked to where the the river flowed she looked down into the waters edge. She felt a sudden chill run down her spine growling she turned around to head back to her den but a wolf stopped her in her tracks. “Who are you?” said Amber “ Shadow” came the response. Amber looked at Shadow his dark black pelt seemed to ruffle in the wind. “ Amber Its time you learn to change back to human form. Amber looked at Shadow questionably  “how?’
Shadow looked at her “just do as I say and you will learn to return to your form”
Amber looked back “ok.”
“Think of what it is like to be human think of what you can do. Think of  your hands, your skin, your feet and your sole as they all reconnect. Think of your human form as it lives and breaths, as it’s heart matches your wolf heart believe in yourself, and tear the bond that connects your hearts only then can you return to your human form.”
Amber closed her eyes and felt her heart she thought of her human form of how she could pick things up with her hands she then felt like she was being turned inside out as she whimpered she felt her fur being ripped away from her she felt her body shift in her form she felt two beats in her chest as her  hearts broke their connection only to reconnect each other again then she was in human form. she looked at her human form how she missed being a human. She looked at this wolf “listen close, remember the feeling of your hearts disconnecting and reconnecting and you will always be able to shift back into human form.” with that he disappeared.
Amber woke up in human form she stood up as she looked down she still had her clothing on.  she walked into the mess hall her eyes looked around for someone she felt hungry more hungry than she had ever been before. she looked over spotting another man, she walked over to him. the man looked up at her “well well looks like someone has figured out how to return to human form” said the man “I’m Ash, and I presume you have already met Shine and our leader Ken?”
Amber nodded. Ash moved over offering her a seat “so as a member of the pack now you're  going to need to know the members so far you met three of us thats me Shine, and our leader is Ken. Shine is the wolf of storms Ken is the wolf of darkness I am the wolf of flames then there is the wolf of earth which is Sage then the wolf of night which is Slain he can be very aggressive though.  then there's you the element wolf as I can tell from you amulet.” Amber looked at her amulet then back at Ash as he handed her a chicken leg. “ every wolf gets hungry after they shift back into human form for the first time.” Amber took the leg “ What I can’t understand is why in all the movies when they shifted back to human form they are-”
“not wearing cloths? Yes thats just something thats exaggerated about us. Our human form is turned inside out when we turn into a wolf form, which allows us to be clothed when we return to human form. You see as a Chosen which is what we are called we need warmth. So when we turn into wolf form whatever clothing we are wearing becomes an added layer of warmth.” Amber took a bite from the food not realising how hungry she was. “How do you know so much?” Asked Amber as she took another bite. “ Because I’m the packs researcher, I learn about our kind with help of our dead ancestors and the wolves before us.” “ancestors? I thought we were chosen?” “yes you are chosen but it’s because of you ancestors from a long time ago. You see if your ancestor was an ancient warrior like a war hero chances are you have the same skills of that war hero, giving you potential, which is why you are chosen.” Ash pulled out a book from his jacket and showed it to her. “ And this is probably the best history piece ever. The journal of shadow.” “journal of Shadow?” echoed Amber questingly “yes this has everything to do with his pack and has all the information about our enemy and all the info about the elements before us. “wait you said enemy? We have enemies?” “well yes they're called shifters, they can turn into any animal as long as it has a tail if, it doesn't well then that animal has the tail of the shifters first shifted animal.
“So they can shift into wolves too?”
“Well yes but normally we recruit our new cubs before they can go through their first shift which doesn't normally happen until they meet another member.”
Amber nodded in understanding
“Ash what do you think you're doing?” said a voice. Amber looked a man stood before them his eyes hardened as they looked at ash. “I’m just talking to her Slain, relax its not like-”
“No. You” slain pointed to amber “come with me” he said in a strong voice
“why?” said Amber annoyed
“Oh no, Amber don't fight just follow him”
Slain looked at Amber in her eyes, his eyes where an icy blue “lets go”
Amber got really frustrated now. “No you ask nicely and I will”
Slain growled and reached for Ambers arm. Amber jumped out of the chair shifting into  her wolf form and spoke to him “Go Away!!!!” was her words and slain Froze “You can speak to me as I am in human form. That impossible!!” Slain said as he shifted into wolf form which was a pure dark wolf. Amber growled at slain warning him to stay back “ha your not the boss of me!” slain growled as he lunged for Amber. She dodged Slain and bite down on his tail Slain howled in pain and turned his head to bite her but Amber was already prepared she released his tail and got out of the way, Slain looked confused for a moment realising his jaws had clamped down on nothing but air. Amber lunged at Slain her teeth clamped down on his pelt than with all her might Amber rolled over with him using her paws to scratch his back as she finally landed on top of him. Amber looked into his eyes growling then she slowly released him and walked away to another tunnel. Slain watched her leave he couldn’t believe he was just defeated by her. No one ever defeated him except for Ken.
Amber wandered into the tunnel annoyed the tunnel led into a room to her it looked almost like a surveillance room she shifted out of her wolf form and wandered deeper into the room. “good you're here” said a voice amber looked over to where the voice came from. Ken was sitting down in a simple wooden chair his feet rested on a desk as he played with an orange ball in his hands. Ken removed his feet from the table and placed the ball where his feet had been as he gestured with his free hand for her to have a seat in the chair next to him. Amber cautiously went to the seat surprised at how comfortable it was. Ken looked a amber then to the screen he slowly leaned into the screen “computer bring up video 16 fast forward to stage 12 and pause” Ken said as he examined a piece of paper with that said the screen flashed and showed a picture amber nearly jumped out of her chair at the sight of it “What is that?” Amber said wided eyed “That is a shifters scoute in it’s human/animal form “ said Ken “computer zoom in and Enhance Picture.” said Ken, Ken laid back and Grabbed the orange ball and began playing with it. The picture showed a clear view of the thing It was on two legs like a human but it had dark green scales that ran all over it’s body and it’s tail ended in a lions tail it’s eyes were like cat eyes only the line was sideways with a black rim that surrounded it “This thing is not just a shifter it’s what we call a skjunik it is a half formed half unformed ,only seen by wolves who have shifted or by camra”
“Skunknik?” said Amber confused
“no. Skun-jick”
“ok skjunik” Said Amber understanding.
“Now the main question is how we catch it” said Ken
“Why don’t we ask Ash he seems to know a lot about this stuff”
“No. he’s already obsessed with enough things around her. You have no Idea how many dog toys I ended up taking away from him.” Ken said as her played with the orange ball “ I don't think he wouldn’t obsess over anything unless he really liked it, ash was probably just joking with you.”  said amber Ken looked at Amber  “ when this pack was new Our mess hall wasn’t in so the pack had $100 a month to spend and one and on christmas I gave Ash a squeaky to as a present as a joke he went crazy over the thing squeaking it in everyone face he even squeaked it in his sleep! He squeaked it so much Shine took his toy and ripped out the squeaker when he left it on the table to speak with me so he went to a pet store with the $100 allowance and bought all the squeaky toys from the store You do not want to know what he did when it took them away from him.” Amber rolled her eyes “ok. fine but how are we going to catch it?”
8: Capture
Capture
~~
Amber stood in the forests in her wolf form a net beneath her paws she sat down and smelled the air “ ok Amber Now” A voice said within her head amber leaned her head back and howled a long  and low howle. Ken had told her how to catch the Skjunik she had to act like a normal wolf and pretend to be wounded since the Skjunik hunted wolves and a wounded wolf was an easy wolf to eat. Amber laid on her side with a bunch of fake blood on the ground that apparently was one of Ash’s old obsessions with joke stuff. “How do we know this will work Ken won’t they be able to tell it’s fake?” “ Not if the Skjunik is a scoute, it will take whatever chance it can take to be able to learn about wolves, which they learn about by hunting them, Like I told you these guys can only shift into a form they eat.” Amber rolled her eyes then howled again. Just then the bushes began to rustle Amber looked over and whimpered pretending to be injured. A snarl and then a beast jumped out of the bushes Amber stood up and growled at the beast who lunged but before the Skjunik could even touch her amber jumped out of the way and triggered the trap. Amber morphed out of her form Ken walked over to amber “well That was easy” Amber rolled her eyes then froze a sense of danger overwhelmed her something was wrong. Amber looked over to where the beast had come out just then Amber shoved Ken out of the way “Look out!” A lion lunged at amber it’s teeth barred it hissed and attacked. Amber tried to dodge it but it was no use the lion had her on the ground only to be pulled off of her when Ken shifted into his wolf form and attacked it. Amber lunged at the lion trying to drive it away resulting it a bite to her leg Amber yelped and limped away as Ken finished off the lion with a bite to the throat. The Lion shifted into a beast it looked like half dog half lion “What is that Thing?” said amber. The Skjunik made a soft sound a sound that almost sounded like a whimper. Ken looked at amber “that is a Kiguzsk it’s a Skjunik’s best friend when it comes to hunting, poor thing was trying to protect it’s master.” Amber held her head feeling dizzy. “Amber? you weren't bitten where you?”  Amber looked down at her led where it was bleeding “ya why?” she said as she placed her hand on her head once again.  Ken grabbed her arm “Amber the bite is venomous you must return to base now i’ll take care of the scout said Ken as he pushed her toward the entrance.
Ken growled at the Skjunik “Answer me!” The beast just looked up at him and whimpered. They had dragged the beast to their home and now had it in their makeshift ‘interrogation room’ or in other words their old dining room. Amber was in her wolf form once again since the venom was making her shift constantly back and forth. The rest of the pack was in the room Shine held Ken before he lost control of his anger while Saige and Ash held Slain. Amber limped over to Ash and whimpered since the venom was preventing her communication with the rest of the pack. Ash looked at Amber “Fine I’ll give it a try” said Ash as he looked over to Saige “do you think you can hold him?” Ash asked as he looked over to the beast “yes I’ll be fine” Saige said as she took Ashs place. Ash walked up to the Skjunik “ Look all we want to know is how you found out of our location then we will let you go O.K?” Amber walked over to the beast and growled at ash. The Skjunik looked at Amber and growled at her hate in it’s eyes. “Unmortal will die then mortals will fall before us!” It said in a very strong yet creepy voice. “Ash Just let me kill the thing!!” said slain at he tried to break free from Saiges hold. “No. I have to try this” Ash said as he reached his hand out and placed it onto the beasts Head “Listen Scoute all you have to do is tell us how you found us.” Said Ash “Let me go unmortal!” Said the beast “No.” said Ash as he placed his hand on it’s neck “What what are you doing?” said the thing fear in it’s  eyes “everyones got a weakness your’s is your throat” Ash said as he pressed his hand on it’s throat. “How did you find us?”
“By scent from your new immortals parents” it hissed at Ash
“What do you mean new unmortal?” Amber howled as she shifted back into human form “How do you know about my parents!” Amber said as she placed her hand on her forehead once again getting dizzy. the thing seemed to smirk at her “ Shifters have your parents Shifter say you can have them back if you give them your amulet.” Hissed he Skjunik Amber ground as she fell to her knees “Amber Shift back to a wolf you not stable in human form” Said Saige. Amber shifted back into a wolf growling at the Skjunik. Ash released the beast and walked over to Saige. “Ken what are we going to do about the Skjunik?” Saige asked as she looked back over to the thing who was now trying to break free from it’s chair. Shine released Ken “ Well we can't kill it otherwise it will just attract more.”
“but we can't release it either”said Shine “Put it in the secondary maze room” said Ken “ at least we wont have to deal with it anymore, and get Amber in the hunting room until the venom has worn out.” With that Ken left the room. Saige released Slain And walked over to Amber “Come on lets go while the rest of them take care of that beast.” Amber followed Saige into the hunting room it was pretty much the same underground forest that she had been to when she first came here only it was separated into different sections which was why it was called many different things it had one area that was the training section on, the cub section or dream section, the den section where the pack slept in wolf form, and the hunting section which it where they were going. “You mine as well at practice hunting while your stuck like this” Said sage at she turned into wolf form which was a beautiful wolf with leafy green eyes and a brown and gray pelt.  Amber let her instincts kick in and breathed in the sencent of the forest and picked up another sent deer Amber growled at Saige how nudged her in understanding the two wolves followed the scent and came to a halt when the spotted it a full grown deer was fighting with another deer their anders clashing together Amber looked for the strongest target knowing that it was dangerous for deer to be fighting like that she could tell that the second deer was losing the battle  Amber slowly took a step closer waiting for the antlers to clash to take another step she gave out a low growl to let Sage know she was preparing for and attack she bunched up her muscles and lunged out of the brush and attacked the strongest deer in order to protect the weaker deer the deer was caught off guard as the two wolves chased it down the deer was getting away. Amber growled at Saige telling her in wolf to split up With that the two split up and chased the deer into a tight forest area  the buck was trapped Amber growled at it as it jumped over her only to fail when Saige jumped out and knocked it down the two took down the deer quickly winning the battle between predator and prey. The two wolves stared at each other gad that the had taken down the threat the pray hear was hard to keep safe especially when the male deer fought the always went for the strongest pry in order to keep the underground forest safe if they kept them then the forest would fall now only because of the population but because of the aggression. the prey that was agressive had to leave in order to keep the forest safe especially when they were hunting they need a non injured pry to exercise and practice the hunt in order to win any battle. Saige and Amber dragged the deer tow the entrance for the rest of the pack. Saige howled telling the rest of the pack to came see their catch. The rest of the pack came all in wolf form Ken barked at amber in wolf telling her that she had done good while Ash jumped on Amber in a gesture to play. The wolves finished eating Ash stole ambers piece of the kill and teased her trying to get her to chase him which she did eventually catching him and winning back her food. In the end there was some of the kill left, but Amber growled at the rest of the pack protecting the piece the wolves looked at her confused As she growled at them trying to explain. Slain walked over to her and growled at her as her began to try to take it but Amber immediately shoved him back Amber knew that it was only fair to leave it alone since everyone had their fair share the only problem was she saw that Ken had not touched the kill. Amber dragged the piece over to him Ken looked at her confused before he finally took the piece and ate. The rest of the pack barked happily and started to play tug a war with a stick where amber happily joined in the fun until it broke in half. After that Slain and Ken took the deer pelt to place on the wall to honor the dears life. Amber stayed in her wolf form since it was to hard to go into human form with the venom in her system. Amber walked over to her den and layed down and closed her eyes.
10: The memorie of Shadow
The memorie of Shadow
Amber woke up in a forest the warm wind ruffling her fur. She walked out of the den the sun was bright, really bright. A wolf ran up to her his eyes warm and gentle “good morning Silver” said the wolf as he spoke to her through her mind. Amber looked confused but before she could tell this wolf that her name wasn’t Silver she responded “Good morning my Love,” She said as the wolf nudged Amber happily. “isn’t a beautiful day to go hunting” said the wolf his black pelt ruffling in the warm breeze. “ I agree Shadow it is a beautiful day , but i’m more in the mood for some fish or bass” Shadow nudged Amber “ok then anything for you.” with that Shadow padded away and she followed. There was a flash and she was by a river fish seemed to jump out of the water as the sun shone down on the crystal clear water Amber walked up to it and peered in she did not see herself in her wolf form but another wolf this wolf was all silver gray with a white patch on the forehead A howl sounded as Shadow ran up to her “They found us!” shadow said as he nudged her trying to get her to follow. Another flash and they were in a clearing Amber looked over to see Shadow standing next to her “ The Shifters, their coming for us” Amber said as she looked over to Shadow. Shadow nudged Amber “do not worry silver we will fight until the end. This battle will be won, even if I die tryin.” said shadow as he nudged her “ no Shadow, there's only one way to win this battle and you know it, in order to insure the safety of our kind and the kind that call this world home, a sacrifice must be made. We have already fought this battle, this battle cannot be won, not until the pureborn has been found. It is time I used my power, Shadow it is time to end this war.” Shadow stared at her “ but, you won't be able to return silver, you will die” Shadow seemed to whimper. “ i Know Shadow but it’s the only way to by our kind time this is what my power is meant for, this is what I’m meant to do once it is over this battle will be staled this will help us gain more followers, more warriors and our only chance of survival.” With that said Amber was out of silver’s body, she was now watching her, Silver walked into the middle of the clearing and stood on a stone there she raised her head looking at the sky as it darkened. there was a bright flash as Silver shifted not into a human but a different form of wolf her eyes were no longer silver as they turned black and her silver pelt turned white, She seemed to glow brighter and brighter until another flash occurred, more wolves joined in all of them watching as the light began to die away and a rock took her place. The rock seemed to glow and humm as symbols began to appear on it. Then there was a screech and Shadow knew the Shifters were coming Another flash occurred as the rock sent a wave of energy that hit the surrounding shifters turning them into nothing but dust . Amber watched as the clearing grew trees around them each with a symbol on it, The rest of the wolves looked to Shadow “The next era has come” Shadow said sadness in his eyes “In order to ensure our worlds safety we must wait until they return we must choose new wolves and become more powerful. I will release my power to give to the next wolf after me, I am the element wolf I will be able to make the symbols place, all of you should leave now your time has not come” Said Shadow as he began to walk toward the rock “No I choose to follow you” came another voice Shadow looked over as the rest of the wolves began to stand by his side. “Silver has sacrificed her life in order to keep this world safe I am willing to join you and end this war., we are all willing to become our true selves and help you, you will never go alone.” called another voice as all the wolves seemed to howl their agreement as the all walked to a tree each with their own symbols as shadow walked to the stone. “I’m coming Silver, we are all coming, you will never be alone and I will find you, my Symbol wolf.” with that another flash occurred this time the wolves had disappeared and the rock layed covered in grass and moss.
