Chapter 1

This takes place in a science fantasy world which is ruled by several high forces, each in command of their own continent, all united into one government.

~~~~~~~~~~~~ O ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The city of Arlestand was silent and dim. Light poured down from the dark grey clouds, and reflected on the city made of marble, glass, and metal. Every man, woman, and child were gathered around the central Palace, where the World Leaders and Majors lived. The citizens of Arlestand all looked up at the giant balcony that was almost a mile wide. It had trees and various plants and flowers, and linings made of cement which had carvings on them. Underneath the linings, were various statues of gargoyles and winged beasts seemingly guarding the area.
A Priestess was akin to that of a Queen in the continent, and the World Leader was her king. The World Majors took care of the political problems of the entire continent. However, they were still lesser than the Leader and Priestess, but together, they are able to achieve the continent's peace. The Leader, Priestess, and Majors of a continent worked together with all others of the other continents to make a global government. All together, they are known as the World Powers. The cooperation and coordination of all of them within the government achieved the world-wide harmony that was never before seen without one global control. The One Government.
The Leader of Arlestand, Leader Axton, sat behind the balcony and beside him were the Majors. Behind Leader Axton and Majors of Arlestand, were four youths, who were all a family and shared the same surname, Fairchild. Three of them were siblings, and one of them was adopted. The three siblings had the same golden eyes, and the adopted one had green eyes.
The eldest sibling, Zairin Fairchild, was the supreme Leader of Arlestand's army. He had raven black and long hair, a handsome face and a muscular, yet toned body. Zairin was an excellent strategist, a fearsome combatant, and had a talent for reading and predicting his opponents, a talent he mastered. Zairin used a sword in battle, and could summon a very special and a one of a kind sword that was made of a strong black energy. Since it was made of energy, it could slice through anything that Zairin willed, effortlessly. It had Zairin's aura imprinted in it's memory and therefore could not be summoned or wielded by anyone else.
The second sibling, Nero Fairchild, was a Commander of Arlestand's Attack Forces, which went out directly to the battlefield. He had short and dark brown hair, a rough yet handsome face with a nasty scar on his left cheek, and a muscular build. Nero, much like his brother, is a fearsome combatant and excellent warrior. Nero used a staff that could change into a halberd, spear, and scythe in battle, via extending and retracting mechanics.  He also had an automatic and custom handgun, which he often used with his staff.
The third and youngest sibling, was a young woman by the name of Erina Fairchild. She was the Commander of the Zero Forces of Arlestand, which was directly responsible for the safety of the civilians in Arlestand. Erina had a curvaceous build, a cute face, and pink hair. She was an excellent strategist, and a fearsome analyst, able to analyze and predict enemy tactics with ease. Erina used a bow in battle. The bow had two blades on its sides, a button near the grip that could make it fold and unfold via extending and retracting mechanics. It could also disassemble into two blades, and fold into one.
The fourth family member, was adopted but the siblings treated him like family. His name was Vincent Fairchild and he was the Commander of the Special Forces of Arlestand, which handles magic users, and stealth missions. Vincent had a slim build, a boyish face, green eyes and black shoulder length hair. Vincent is a magic user, and could conjure almost any form of magic effortlessly. However, White Magic, Black Magic and Elemental Magic were his specialties.
On a building nearby, was a masked woman in black. She seemed to be watching or waiting in the dark. Then, the Priestess finally came out of the Palace, the trees and flowers swayed to the wind and carried with them various dancing flowers and dried leaves. The entire city could be heard clapping and applauding as she walked towards the end of the balcony.
"In position, waiting on you." The woman thought and a solid, vivid voice entered her head. The voice almost seemed as if someone was actually talking next to her.
"Right, I'm in position too. Go on ahead whenever you want." A blonde woman, also in black said, looking into the scope of her custom sniper rifle, which had two retractable blades on the sides. She was about several hundred miles away, but she could see as if she was in the stage. Her aim was steady and her hands almost didn't shake at all, aiming at the Priestess.
"Alright then sister." The woman in black said, stepping forward. Zairin then noticed her immediately after she stepped out of the shadows. Her black sneaking suit almost blending in completely with the shadows before she came out.  Zairin said to a guard, "Search Building A-34 immediately. Hurry and report your findings to me."
The guard immediately nodded and hurried off. "Everyone is supposed to be around the Palace....it's suspicious enough that there's a woman there." He mumbled to himself and Erina looked at him with a confused and worried face.
"What is it brother? Is...Is something wrong?" Erina asked immediately after seeing the look on Zairin's face.
"Unghh....It's only this time of the year where I get THIS bored...." Nero complained quietly to Vincent who shook his head and laughed silently. He had to agree. "Well, the Priestess does have a nice voice but....I'll have to agree with you there."
"Right?" Nero said laughing a little. Erina shook her head and sighed. "Can't you two have ANY respect? This only happens once a year."
"Yeah, and it's only once a year where I get this bored. Can you guess what time of the year that is?" Nero teased and then Erina just sighed. She rolled her eyes, mumbling to herself. "Are you serious?"
Zairin looked closely, he thought he could see the woman in black holding weapons.
"Engaging." The woman said, jumping off from the building and pointing a handgun at the Priestess.
"Alright, I'll cover you from here." The blonde woman said, aiming her sniper rifle. She smiled as she saw the woman in black land in front of and shoot the Priestess. Then the crowd, the Majors, and the Leader all panicked and began to scream.
"What the hell?!" Nero said as he and his family unsheathed their weapons. The Priestess was dead, and there was a masked woman in front of them, holding a gun. The masked woman smiled and then turned towards them, her gun disappearing and two scythes materializing in her hands.
"A girl?! What the hell is this?!" Erina said as she began to fire arrows at the girl in black in an incredible speed akin to that of a burst fire handgun. The girl just smiled and looked at Nero and Zairin, who were charging at her. Then the Majors and Leader Axton began to run towards the Palace door.
"Hahaha...No you don't." The blonde woman said and then shot three times. Two of the Majors fell to the ground. Then, she spotted the arrows that were heading for her teammate. "Oh, hello there."
She pulled the trigger.
Before the arrows could even reach the girl in black, the bullet broke and spread out, breaking them in half. The girl backflipped away, slashing at Nero and Zairin in midair. The two brothers blocked her attacks but then, much to their surprise, Erina's arrows almost reached her as she deflected Vincent's lightning strikes. Although the bullet broke the arrows before they could reach her face.
"Be more careful next time." The blonde woman said as she closed her eyes and dissipated and reappeared right in front of Nero and the girl, using her sniper rifle as a shield to protect her comrade. "Hey there." She commented, kicking Nero a good distance the opposite direction. He got back up almost instantly and ran towards them. The blonde woman swung her leg around her sniper rifle and used the momentum to immediately counter attack. Nero was kicked in the face and stumbled backwards. He irritably began to comment. "That rifle is almost the same size as you!"
"You get used to it after a while." She casually said, leaning on the sniper rifle. She then caught an arrow right in front of her face and turned her head ever so slightly to her comrade, giving a silent command. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, the two girls ran towards the linings of the stage and jumped off.
Zairin ran towards the linings and searched for a sign of them. Which of course, there were none. He silently cursed to himself whn a hand put him out of his daze. Erina looked at him with sad eyes. "They're gone brother."
"Let's go inside. This is no place to talk given what just happened." Neo said and they all nodded, heading for the Palace door.
