Ch.1 Text 01.

~~I wake as the rain pelts my head. My arms and legs slowly move as if they are weight down with buckets of water, cold blood filled water. To think the world use to need water, now its all we have. My bones pop, pull and crake as I look up at the sun, almost blue and gray as it is. The world around me is blue and wide. I see water all around me like my tears I shed had try to drown me in my sleep.  My tent is red and small, I tear it down and once again pull on my red pack, today is day 1,412 of rain days.
I walk down the road water covers my feet. Some people use to say that the world would flood but it still has not. It just rains and rains, when this first happen no one really cared or at least we just thought it was just rain, then the voice on the radio and the weird text appear. All the same words over and over again, “rain days are here. We are. The rain is pure. We are Blue.”
I watch as I pass the Blue, the one that walk in the rain. I keep my hood up, cover in two rain coats and red shirt wrap around my face, I have to stay dry, and I have to stay dry!

The Blue pass me. They all look the same, wearing nothing but nothing. All of them bare, shivering and screaming with no sound. All of them with their mouths open, endless screaming but with no words or sounds. I hurry pass them I don’t want to draw attention to myself. If they somehow saw me they take me and strip me. Make me bare and I would join the Blue. I run pass them to the edge of the street, I hide behind a building.  On the wall in front of me is a scribbles made with spray paint, just a few words. “Blue devil in the clouds. Don’t drink the rain.”

I wait a few moments as they pass, I walk out in the street again thinking I am safe, but they stand before me. Three Blue, they all have their hands up lifted to the sky as if offering themselves for the rain. I turn to run but I hear the patter of the Blue’s bare feet, I can’t outrun them blue never tire so I turn and fight. They all come at me, fingers grabbing and pulling. Trying to tear my fain coat off. I kick the first and punch the second, I pull my pack off and pull out the bat. Bashing in a Blue skull is a task I have only done one other time, its skull just melted like it was made of water, I scream at the others two as I stuck again and again till the thing just fell on it back. The other two did not look down at the fallen Blue just lower their hands and scream at no sound. I killed them the same way.

After I killed the three Blue I made my way to the edge of the city. The rain is bad here falls more rapid, I sit up my tent here as the day ends, the days grow short for us Red, humans who do not followed the Blue or who never believe in the text or strange radio messages. I rummage out of my pack two water bottles and dry beef, I eat quickly in fear of Blue or a mass of sharp rain, rain so strong it can cut human flesh. I wash down the beef with one of the water bottles, they are still safe to drink. After that I lay back and lie to myself again. That when the dawn comes the rain will stop, I slowly fall asleep as day 1,412 ends.

~~# 2- Tower of Rain (part one of two)

One day, day 1,422 I decided to go as high as I could to get a better view of the world. I waited till mid-day. For the blue sun to be as tall as vast as it could. I left my tent, which yesterday I had set as close to the building as I could.
As I pull on my red pack and torn down my tent I kept both my eyes on the street. No Blue are out yet, so I stay, I now had my bat out, at the ready. I always had it out after what happen on day 1,412. The Blue seem to follow me now. Do they know I killed some of them? Can they reason even at the thought of revenge? Or is it like some wolf pack, if you killed one the others will come.
After no more than an hour, a blue ball of light hung in the sky looking down on us tire cold sous. Yes days run short now. The sun comes and goes within mere hours. Some days it last up to eight and some no more than three.
I took a deep breath and ran across the street, I felt a million eyes upon me. The street taken on a transformation from an intersection to a war zone. As soon as my feet splash on other crosswalk they ran out. Sprinting.
Running so fast, I had never seen one these dam things run like this before. Let alone a whole army of them. They seem to move in mass like some old black and white zombie movie.  As I reach the middle of the street I slur and scream all of the curse and threats I could come up with. None of the mass of Blue paid many any mind. They all stop where they were, all of the Blue hand’s lifted towards the heavens. It like being in some odd, sick and twisted version of a baptism and I the atheist.
I ran at the weakest part I could find, swinging wild. Striking a fat old Blue in the stomach, his gust and liver spraying out of him like they are made of water, blue water. Oh god the smell, I gag and spill my morning dry beef.
They came at me, once again trying to tear off my clothes, but yet they did not want to kill me. No, they wanted me to join their flock. Becoming one of them.
“No! Stay away you Blue monsters!” I scream. As I hit one after the other, I hit them from every way I could. Up, down and left, right. A pair of kids grab my legs, I look down. Two boys, both just boys’ mouths open. Trying to pull off my shoes. I push back and god help me…. I stomp on one of boy’s skull till I slip.
Then I crawl away from the mass of blue and ran into the door of the building, the glass now long gone just an open door way. None came after me, I just ran in a dark office. I turn and scream at them. I wanted them to come. Come and see what is waiting for them. Here there be a dragon. I scream again and again, till my voice became raw.
I fell on my back. Crying and whispering. Waiting for them to come. After a while I fell asleep. After I awoke from a dreamless sleep. I took out a water bottle and a five pound battery power yellow flash light.
I look around, just an old OfficeMax place now a dream. I made my way around some old desk and bodies. Some of them you could till they had kill themselves other I did not know. I made my way to the stairs, push open the door slowly and quietly. What now before is darkness, dry and salient? Or cold and submerged in Blue.
I made my way across the threshold.

~~# 3 (Tower Of Rain. Part 2 0f 2)

As I climb slowly at a steady pace my heart quicken. What waits in this realm of death for me? My mind kept going back to the streets, just a few hours ago I had killed many Blue, one being a young boy. My fingers grip the bat, holding it still waiting for a new hell to come for me, my other hand the torch light of my yellow flashlight.
I look around me as I walk upwards towards well…. Whatever the hell is up there? The walls are all white and still as if they are part of the sky. No blood or rain water has made it claim here. The world of rain has not treaded here, yet. After about an hour of walking, each step seeming higher than the last. I come across a door that stood ajar. Why is this open?
With my bat I slowly push it open to show nothing but more darkness, inviting it might have said, if darkness cold speak. Maybe I could find some food? Or even clean water! So against my better judgment I walk inside the office door.
What I found is rather odd, first just a hallway leading to a row of small desk, each line up in a straight line, but that’s not the odd part. No what is odd a body sat on one of the desk, it face cover with a black ACDC t-shirt. Besides that the body worn nothing more. As I got closer and sine my torch light upon it, I saw that it is a Blue!
I raise my bat ready to attack or defend myself when out of the quiet came a small but loud CLACK! I turn, my face looking down the barrel of a shotgun.
“Well, wells Batter I see you met Jeff.” She said.” Now drop the slugger and beg for a quick death rain man!”
The girl standing before me worn nothing but t-shirt and a pair of black jeans, her hair short, curly, gold. She stood about up to my neck, small but not short. Quiet voice, almost sweet. It was odd seeing a normal human wear so little clothing, did she not fear becoming a Blue?
“I mean you know harm.” I said. “Why do you have one of them?” she laugh. “And where are all your clothes?”
“Don’t fear him Batter!” she scream. She lower the gun and skip around till she was just inches from the Blue. “My name if you must know is Anna. And this…” she tap the Blue on the head. “Is Jeff. Batter, Jeff. Good now we can all be friends. So why are you here Batter?” Anna ask.
I lower my bat and took a deep breath, I am not use to talking to people, and I don’t trust people. They want to kill you or use you in the world of rain.
“I wanted to see the top.” I said. With my bat I pointed towards the sky.
“Oh well sure Batter. I will show you the world.” Anna sing. She grab my hand and pull back to the stair well and away from Jeff.
She stop, “Then you will get the fuck out of my tower! Ok.”

As we ran up the stairs, me still holding on to Anna hand, I ask her the question that I had to have an answer too.
“How did you capture a Blue?” I ask.
“Not telling!” Anna sing. We move faster up the stairs, I almost fell once but she just pull me up faster. He hand wrap around mine in an iron grip. I now knew one thing, Anna is not right in the head. Maybe she was born this way or being alive this long in the world of rain broke her mind.
“Why do you keep it alive?” I ask.
“He’s my friend. Just him Batter, all the others I killed and hunt for sport, hey! Were here!” she yank me to the right and onto the sky.
We stood on a glass floor, a thin layer of glass look down upon us. The clouds and rain as far as I could see. I blink hoping it would all fade. I had been too hopeful thinking that just maybe stop somewhere. Anna let go of my hand. She skip to the edge and lean against the glass.
I made no move to stop her, if she fell, she fell I did not really care for her or the way she seem to float on air. I turn to leave, I walk pass the doorway and back down the stairs. After a few flights Anna caught up with me.
“Meet me in my room!” she yelled as she ran pass me down into the earth.

I don’t know why I did but I stop by her room, but before I could enter she handed me a green bag, the bag is large and weighed more than ten pounds.
“Here this is some things I don’t need, don’t come by here again!” she scream. The door slam in my face with a BANG!
“What in the name of god was that all about.” Is all I could say? I turn to leave thinking maybe I could make it back to the edge of town without being attack when she open the door again.
“Bye Batter! Oh and by the way Babe Ruth channel 42.” She shut the door. I stood there in the darkness of the stairwell wondering who the hell I just met.

After running my way to the edge of town, I had no encounters with the Blue. They seem to not want to mess with me anymore after what happen, after I made my tent, I open the pack the crazy girl Anna gave me.
In it are ten water bottles marked safe, and a bunch of protein bars and a big black box with a dial on the left numbering 1 to 50. I drink one of the water bottles hoping to the gods above that it is safe, after some turning and feeling I turn the black box to 42 and waited.
After a few moments of nothing a voice came on, “hello! Batter!”
“Anna? Is that you? Is this a talkie?” I ask the black box.
“Yep now we can talk for hours and hours! Oh and don’t worry the battery on this thing last for over five days! But when it runs out just give it what little blue sun we have and it will work fine again!” she yelled.
I almost toss it outside for the Blue, then stop. Anna is crazy but I have not talk to anyone, not a soul after the rain came. So I ripped open a protein bar and talk. “So Anna how life in the sky? I ask.
That how I ended day 1, 423.

~~# 4 Anna Days: Day One

Anna awoke alert with a song in her head and just one thing on her mind, today is hunting day! She leap out of bed and made her way to Jeff’s room. Hunting day! Hunting day! Yay!!
She tap Jeff on his head and spin around to the desk to the right that held all of her clothes. Three desk all line up in a row, one holding her jeans, another containing the shirts and jackets. The final one holding all of toys. She grab the first pair of pants she saw, no time to wash today. She pick out a green day t-shirt and one shotgun, two handguns and one riot stick. Anna pull open the desk compartments and took three paper bags, one red backpack and two fully charge tasers.
“Now I am ready to slay!! Wait! Almost forgot.” She said to Jeff.
Anna ran back to her room and grab the little back box on her bed, the talkie. Can’t forget that, she ran back to Jeff and dump the bags in the red backpack. Each bag mark for the ammo she will need, the weapons are already loaded and ready. She knew this because she check them every night before she went to bed.
Last but not least she walk over to the wall, carry the shotgun on her shoulder. The other guns, taser and riot stick in her pack with two bottles of clean water and some protein bars. She pull on the door as it slid holding her prize set of clothes, the back in black ACDC hood and the yellow Chuck Taylor’s she own. She slip them both while checking herself in the mirror, no need for extra clothing got to make it a challenge for me. She look at herself.
Her short hair unkempt, no makeup and no wash up in two days. Girl got to save water where she can she muse, sexy and dirty the boys would love me! Oh boys.
She pull out the talkie and turn to channel 42, “hello! Batter! Good hunting day to you!” she scream, Jeff stirs once then went back to staring off into nothing. A burst of noise greeting her on the other end.
“What! Oh it you Anna! You scare the shit out of me! Just got up want this about hunting or something?” ask Batter.
“Hunting day! The day I hunt the Blue! I do it like every month Babe. So come with me if you want to live!” I said with a deep voice.
“No. I’m busy today. Sorry.” He said.
“Busy? With what?” I ask. Trying to hide my disappointment.
“Nothing big… just trying to stay alive. Have fun getting yourself killed.” He said.
“Fine! Who needs you anyway! I have miles to go before I sleep and Blue to kill. Bye Batter!” I turn back to channel one and ran out of my room and down the stairwell.

I love killing them, so much! It just never gets old. I ran out of the tower at full speed. My shoes gliding across the payment. No Blue came at me, they never do I have to fine them. Weird. First I always check what I called dens.
I head to a park right down from my tower, the rain make me wet and cold very fast, I shake it off and run faster. The park is quiet as a ghost town a big slide and jungle gym sit in the middle of it. No Blue around so of course I scream as loud as I can. I run to the edge of the park and stop. Now the fun starts!
I grab my pack and pull out the riot stick and the most important two items I own, my pink headphones and my MP3 player. I power it on, the battery full and ready for some fun, I had found a charger that feeds off the sun so I could always have my tunes. My fingers wipe away the rain, as I scroll down the list and found what I wanted, HUNTING MIX. I press ok and put on the headphones, Highway to Hell crank in and bang the riot stick to the ground. The water made a big splash, a few Blue came out.
They all hid in under the jungle gym, it what I call a den, some of them wander the streets but what I want is a shit load of them.
Twenty. No more came crawling out of the ball pit, some from under the slide. I started to jump back and forth on my feet like Rocky waiting to fight Draco. Blue started to come towards me, I think maybe they knew who I am. I always think I am some cute badass bitch in some anime when I kill them. They all start moving in mass, all at once like some dance only they can hear the music too. I spread my feet, drop my riot stick and CLACK my shotgun.
“Warriors, come out and play-I-ay!” I scream. They broke into a sprint.

I fire till I ran out of ammo then I run and gun, bashing in heads when I got a chance, with the butt of my gun. I crawl under the slide and slid back as far as I could go. Drop my back and pull out the bags of ammo, dump out the one mark shotgun and camber round after round. Tonight by Seether sing in my head.
I kick into the head of a young woman with black hair, blue blood gush out all over me. It’s weird that their blood does not hurt you just the rain. Life’s fuck up! Using my feet I push her out of the way, using her as a ram to crawl out.
Swing the gun like a mad woman I made some space, “I feel so alive tonight!” I sing. Two old ones come at me, hair falling out, and teeth rotting. I blew off both of their heads one by one. I aim wherever I wanted, the legs, arms and chest. After the shotgun ammo ran out, I toss it on the ground and started to run. They all grab it me, like claws grabbing and groping. My hair and arms, at my legs and chest. I kick and punch till I made it to the climbing wall, using a Blue head as a stepping stone I jump up and started to climb. After I made it up, I turn around to find a shit load of Blue looking up at me, all of them wanting to tear me down and make me one the pack.
“I’m just the way I am!” I scream as The way I Am sing into my ears. I pull out of my pack the two Handguns and jump into crowd screaming, “puppy power!”

I walked back into my room cover in Blue blood, I torn off my clothes giving myself a mental sticky note to wash them tomorrow when I get up, I stood there in nothing but a t-shirt, the talkie siting on my bed where I had put after coming inside, I laugh. He didn’t ever call me, what a shitty boy! I walk to the wash buckets I had sat up the night before to wash my self-clean of the day, what a stupid boy I sing as I washed off the blue blood.
After a good scrub, I check on Jeff, yep still nothing, “are you ever going to… you know change, become smart to tell me the master plan?” Nothing from Jeff. “Oh! How about you evolve in to a big blue bug! After you turn I and Batter can come kill you! Ok? ”Jeff said nothing. I let him be, grab a couple of protein bars and went to my bed.
I turn the talkie to channel 42 and said, “Goodnight! Batter!”
“Shit! Crap Anna! Don’t scare me like that! So you’re ok? Right?” he ask.
I took a deep breath, “yean Babe, I wish I knew how to quit you!” I said.
“Ok…. Well goodnight Anna.” He pause. “Do you want me to come over or something? You’re sure you’re ok?” he asked.
Was I ok, yean I am great right. Fit as a fiddle. A ok, as they say. So what if I killed over twenty Blue today, so what that I came back with tears and snot running down my face and chin. It no big deal bro I’m good.
“no.” I said.
“To what?” he ask.
“To all of it! Ok! Good night and stuff ok… call you tomorrow Batter.” I turn it off before he could reply. Like I need help, fuck him. I pull up the covers and did what I always did before the nightmares took me, I cried myself to sleep. That’s how I spent my hunting day.

~~Urban Days

Walking out in the open is living a nightmare that will never end. Ordinary I wonder will I died today? Or how about tomorrow. The rain trickles down my coat as I walk slowly up the alley. I am headed to an old supermarket near the edge of town. Today is day 1,425
Living in the city is not the safest place to live in the rain, too many people lived here when it all started, and so after things got bad more people became Blue. I lived here because I was to scare to leave when the rain came. Why run? This will all get sorted out before long. Of course I was wrong but you offer are when your only 19.
My bat scrape the sided of the wall, no Blue ran out. Good they seem to have thin out, maybe it’s because of Anna’s hunt I don’t know. Anna what an odd thing ball. She the only other person who wants to talk and seem to be alive in this city. I’ve seen a few people here or there but all of them just try to kill me, not that I blame them.
Anna did try to shoot me… but now she calls me to hang out, like I am some boyfriend you call in high school, odd Anna.
I spot the supermarket, a large blue building. Letters and paint faded off, the windows on the front still intact. It’s a whole world in there. Weapons, food and of course dead bodies. But one thing that kept me from going in here before is well, the sliding glass door stood open.
I still had plenty of food but what I need now is more important, new weapons. After my little battle at the intersection my bat had a dent in the side of it, I didn’t notice till yesterday after the call from Anna. Sure I could just go ask her for a gun or something but I hate guns, to loud and they can run out of ammo a metal bat cant.
I jog to the open door, wrap my hands tight on the damage bat. Heart beating louder and faster with each passing second. Ok asshole you can do this, just walked inside and swing at the first thing the moves. Got it! Ok go!
I took a big step my bat raise, eyes wide ready to strike! My foot slip in a puddle of rain and I fell flat on my back…. Some days in the city the most dangerous thing is your own stupidly. I pick myself up my pants wet and maybe torn.
“Shit!” I curse. I took one step and pain shot up and down my leg, like little ants all stinging at the same time, great! I thing I may have broken something. Ok I can go back now and forget about this stupid idea of getting a new bat or I can try to carry on and get one.
Carrying on I go, I limp up the lane mark SPORTING GOOD! I found that most of the sport’s stuff gone or trash. Basketballs and tennis rackets deflated or broken in half, weird? I kept going till I reach the end of the lane, right at the end stood a rack of baseball bats, all made of metal.
I choose a red one mark HELL’S FURY I think it fit the tone of this new age, after I grab my new bat I drop my old one, I felt a small ping of loss.  I had got this bat by pure chance. After things went bad I ran from my school and just found this on the side of the road. No one around so I took it and kept running. Once I made it back to the city it never left my side.
So long buddy you did me good, I turn to leave and I came face to face with one big Blue. I jump back dropping my new bat, it roll out of my reach as I took up at the over grown Blue.
The thing stood over eight feet tall. Its skin so pale I could make out some of its organs and bones. Where it mouth should hang open like any other Blue, this one close in a sadistic grin. It seem to say “hey look a new play thing. Should I eat it?”
I crawl back trying to find my new bat but it must have roll to a new world, because all I found was air and some tennis balls. So I toss them at the big Blue. They seem to piss him off more. It took a step towards me it big arms snatching for my feet, like hooks it latch on and pull me. What is he doing? He not trying to take off my shoes or rain coat. Why is he trying to pull me?
Most Blue when they get you always and I mean always no matter where you are, inside or out they try to tear you clothes off and make you feel the rain. But this one is pulling me, where? Right then I understood… like the idiot kid I was, I scream.
“OH GOD IT TRYING TO PULL ME OUTSIDE!!” I scream. If it got me outside it would then tear off my clothes and make me one of them. If you’re caught in a store or building you have a chance of fighting back against the Blue, they can strip you but you might be able to run away. But if you’re outside you’re a dead man.
They need the rain to turn you, so if this thing is pulling me outside. I did the only thing I could, slip off my shoe and limp the other way. It made no sound that it heard me but I knew it did. I tore off my other shoe and ran towards the entrance. I just have to get to the edge of town, for some reason they don’t come near there. I ran like hell outside forgetting all about my new bat or my old one, I stop thinking the whole time till I got back to the edge.
It took me almost an hour to make my tent, my hands would not stop shaking. How could it do that? Are they getting smarter! Of course they are. You idiot!
After I got my tent up I lean back and close my eyes, I don’t know why but the Blue do not come to the edge. The spot of town right next to the bridge out of here. None of them ever do. It been over three years sense it happen and I still have not come here.
I had a crazy idea, I grab the talkie out of my bag and turn to dial 42, “hey Anna! You awake?”
“Hey Batter! What up my prince charming?” she ask.
I took a deep breath, I knew this is a bad idea but I wanted to see that big one again. Also I think I might need help with my leg. “I need your help.”
“With what?”
“My leg mess up. Do you have any medical stuff?” I ask her.
“Yean! I do but that boring babe. Got any fun stuff? “Anna said.
“Well one thing but only if you help me with my leg first and we must meet at my tent not your tower. Ok?” I said.
“Fine, fine whatever! What is it!” she sounded like a little kid.
I knew this was a bad idea but for some odd reason I wanted to see this crazy girl again. So I said a word that I knew she love.

“hunting.” I said.
That’s how I started day 1,426

~~Anna urban days: day two (part one)

Hunting he had said. Hunting. It was the middle of the night when he called, I will admit when he said the he had “mess up his leg” I got really, really worry. Is he going to die? What am I going to do? Why do I care?
I had no idea but that not the point. He said hunting, I toss the X-Men comic I’ve had been reading and ran out to Jeff. He watch me with blue eyes, it’s strange his eyes had turn bluer. Like so blue they glow in the dark. Beside that Jeff had not change. He just sit there tied up. I grab a pair of jeans, a Fate Zero white t-shirt and my Chuck Taylors.
Anna ran to the wall threw it open, grab her ACDC jacket and a little brown package, something for Batter. She did what she always did when she went on a hunt, grab her red pack, the bags of ammo and her guns. But I just grab two of everything, Batter said he wanted to hunt so were going to hunt my way, I turn around and patted Jeff on the head.
“Ok buddy don’t wait up!” and with my double pack of stuff ran out of the room.

Going outside when it’s dark is like walking the river sticks if it were made or water. The demon have been replace with the Blue, they stalk the streets in the thousands. Some just stand still other run or walk. I draw both of my hand guns, safety off pointed towards the ground.
The Blue do not come near me, do they fear me? Or do they just don’t worry about me. Why don’t you look at me? I want to yell over and over again. The Blue just stand in the middle of the street, letting the rain fall on them.
The all stand naked, pale and rotten. Their flesh has become like ice just blue and cold. I walk around them some look down at me but most just stare towards the sky. What are you looking at? We humans don’t look up to much of a risk. I walk out of the intersection and towards the bridge.
A red tent sits by the side, no lights or moment from the outside. I walk up and check the area. No one’s around. Just me and the tent. I give it a tap on the side, a hand pull down and there is Batter siting on one leg the other wrap in a red rain coat.
“Hi. Good you here.” He falls back.
I grab him and hold his head, he out cold. Maybe from pain or sickness. I unwrap his leg from the rain coat. His leg is blue not like a Blue but blue as swollen. He may have just sprang it but I don’t know. I bring out a shot of pencil. I force feed him some iron pills for his blood.
I wrap up his leg with a metal splint and white medical tape, that all I Can do for now. If I can get him back to my tower than maybe I can do more for him. So for now I wait.
I pat his head as he sleeps, his tent is bare. Just him a red backpack and two rain coats. I spill out his pack, a few shirts and pants. An extra pair of shoes and a picture. It is of him, younger standing in front of a cabin, snow is all around him. Batter is happy, I’ve never seen him happy.
I sit and stare at the picture of the happy Batter.
After a while I lie down next to him and fall asleep, goodnight my prince.

“Sleep well. Anna! Come on time to get up!” a voice calls.
I open my eyes to find Batter looking down at me, his hands are in my hair, and he pats my head and pulls some hair behind my ear. I smile at him, he just looks at me.
“Thank you for help with my leg.” He says. “You ok? Your were crying in you sleep.” I bring a hand to my face, I wipe away warm tears. I slug him and lean up.
“Yean I am fine. So your leg is not ok…… it may never be ok again. So just come with me back to my tower and I will see what I can do. Come on.” I stand up. Batter using both of his hands stands as well. A flash of pain shoot across his face.
“No first we have to hunt this thing down! Come on I saw you brought some guns. We can take this thing down before it gets out.” He says.
“Thing? Like Ben Grim or The Thing from another world or the remake Thing that could turn into really, really freaking shit!” I said.
Batter look at me and cough, his face had taken on a pale and sour look, he had a fever. We did not need to hunt down his great while right now, we need to get him back and pull some filler shit where I take care of him for an episode or two.
“It’s just one Blue and it fucking big! We need to kill it before it gets out of the super market.” Said Batter. He then told me about his trip there to get a new bat, how it try to pull him outside. How it could understand reason and basic strategy. I didn’t want to believe him, a Blue that change. One that could think and reason.
“No I will go kill it and you will rest at my tower. Now come on let’s go!” I scream at him.
“No Anna you need my help. I don’t want you to go this alone.” He said.
“I don’t need your help hero! I was doing fine before you found me!”
“I know that!” he said. His face now clearly in pain, his teeth clench. His breath coming in small rasp. “I don’t want you to get hurt. So come on!” he grab his pack and one of my shotguns and walk out of the tent.

I help him gather up his things and his tent, after I gave him some ammo and pain killers we walk among the Blue.
They all look at him, it’s like they hated him. Their eyes took on a darker blue when he walk around them. But none of the Blue attack. They just stare, some lower their arms but most just watch us as we walk.  Why did they hate him? I’ve kill so many more than he has. Why do they hate him so much? I just didn’t get it.
We cut across to an alley and walk towards the market, I could see the doors standing open screaming at us to come and see. Batter stop and load ammo into the shotgun. He seem to know what he was doing. I did the same.
“I hate guns. I really hate’em.” He said.
“So you use bats instead? Why bats?” I ask.
“Just my thing. Come on lets go.” He limp his way to the door. I walked next to him. We reach the door. He took one step inside than I saw them. In the glass on the windows stood hundreds of Blue, I turn they stood there.
Many, many of the Blue all of them reaching out to us. None of them moving. Batter turn and saw. “What the fuck!” he said. Right than a great screech echo from inside the store.
“What’s in the hell is that?” I ask.
“It him! That dammed thing! Ok come on. I know we should try to run. If we fight we might… will died. I can’t take this many can you? Anna can you?” he ask.
His voice had no hope in it, and no I could not. “No we should go inside and try to fight that thing or see if we can get back to the street another way. Ok?”
“Yean!” I said. I try to sound cheerful or brave, but I am scare shitless right now.  I gave him a hug and kiss him on the cheek. “Have fun storming the castle!” I ran ahead of him towards the monster screams.
“ANNA! NO DON’T GO ALONE! ANNA!” Batter scream after me as I ran into the store.

~~Anna Urban Days (part two)

I lay on the ground with the monster standing over me, I had no chance to fight the dammed thing, yean that a good name for it Dammed Thing. My handguns lost on some mess of canned good and old meat, the shogun out of ammo. The Dammed Thing scream at me dripping with sweat and droll. I look in to the darkest blue I have ever saw, It grab me by my arm and drag me to the doors, I scream and scream for Batter to come but no one did. To think this all happen in less than five minutes.

(Five minutes ago)
I ran in the store with my shotgun draw with Batter screams for me to stop, following me. I turn down a lane stack with canned goods and rotten yellow meat. On all sides of me smell of decay and death. The only thing that still smell of food is the cans, I take care of that.
Using my shotgun I blew a hole in the mountain of cans on my right, soups and rice flew around me. The wall of cans fell at my feet, I kick some away. A scream bellow, followed by the sound of an earthquake coming towards me.
I camber another round and scream back, it too late to play tunes. But for this guy I think I will make my own music.  The beast appear, my mouth gape open at the sheer size of the thing.  Tall and bare, pale and lean. Its eyes so blue they look like a cloudy sky. It jaw drop with spit and blood.
I level the shotgun at the beast head, “draw your gun… you son of a bitch!” I scream. My feet took off in a run at it. I stop just short and drop to one keen, aim and fired. I hope the round would take the dammed things head off but it just piss the thing off more.
The round hit it right in the left eye, a gusher open up and blood ran down the side of it face. Giving it a red hue to it pale ghost like body.
He falter but only for an instant. It slam down with his right foot and leap at me like some UFC fighter. It grab me by the barrel of the gun. I chock the gun and fire again and again. But it just duck out of the way while the other rounds struck it in the chest. More blood ooze out. It seem to scream more and more but not with pain but joy
The beast shook off these hit and toss my gun aside, I turn drop to all floors, and slid back with my sneakers. The spill rice and juice giving me some traction, I slip back to a wall of chips and candy bars. I pull from my pack the two handguns, I fire over and over again at the beast, he just gradually stalk towards me.
He knock away my handguns in to the pile of broken cans. I try to crawl away, what a stupid shit am I! God I should have force Batter to go back to the tower so he could rest. But dammit now he’s most likely turn and soon I will be dead or something worst.
Game over man gave over.
This is where you came in and so did he. I scream bloody murder at the top of my lungs at the Dammed Thing. It just kick at my ribs and pull harder. I try to reach behind my pack for my riot stick but all I accomplished is losing the pack instead. After a few more tries of getting away I fell back, my ribs hurting and my arm I think it broken or pull out of where it should be. The Dammed Thing just pull and pull, I stare up at the lights of the super market all of them dark the only light from the windows which got closer with each passing second.
I closed my eyes and waited for the rain, that’s when he scream.
“LEAVE HER ALONE YOU YOUR MOTHER FUCKER!” Scream Batter. He stood with two metal bats in his hands, the ref pack fallen at his feet. He block the doors, his face apart with both his arms raise like a warrior.
His clothes torn and gone, he stood in a pair of rip jeans and a white shirt. The shirt rip and cover in blood and small bits of a tater red rain coat. He had a look of madness about him. Like he’s been a situation like this before. He look like a fucking rock god!
“Batter! Run just go. Get the fuck out of here! My shells could not stop him how well your bats? Just get the fuck out of here you idiot!” I yelled. The Dammed Thing drop me and step towards Batter.
He walked right up to him, their eyes meeting. The Dammed Thing scream loud and long right in Batter face. Batter lower the bats, look up at the Dammed Thing and scream loud and raw right back at him. He then look at me, I saw it then. His leg, blood dropping like rain to the floor. His arms nail marks dug into his flesh. He said one word to me. “Live.”
Batter turn and walk out into the rain, the Dammed Thing coming after him.
I stood up with some trouble and scramble around for my pack, I found it under some fallen jugs of old Lays chips. I pick it up and ran as fast as my arm and ribs would let me.
I made it to the door, they now stood in the street, Batter on one side and the Dammed Thing on the other. The beast seem to want to fight him, all around them were more Blue. Thousands of them forming a fight circle so to speak. They all wanted to fight him. Why? Were they afraid of him? Scare of a human?
I stumble to the threshold and scream with all the energy I had could muster.
“Wait! Batter here! It will keep you dry you idiot!” I toss the bag as far as I could with my good arm, it skid across the water and stop right at Batter feet. He saw it land and limp to it, he sat down one bat. The whole time looking at the Dammed Thing. He torn it open and pull out what the pack contained.
Batter look up and grin, that’s the first time I ever saw happy Batter, he gave me a thumps up and drop the bag.
In his right hand was a black jacket with a hood. He unfolded it and threw it on, he zip it up and toss the hood over his hair. Hopefully it will keep him dry.
On the back is smiling reaper with three words at the top, SONS OF ANARCHY. I don’t know why but ever sense I met Batter I knew that he had a fuck up life before things went to shit. So I think he is what your might call a son of trouble or a son of anarchy. Loved the show by the way.
He pick up the bat, and ran at the Dammed Thing, the beast scream and struck both arms to the ground. He lunch himself like a rocket raising both arms reaching  towards the heavens, as Batter ran at him both bats turn like he about to hit the grand slam. His body twisted as he took a running leap, they attack one another as the rain fell.
To Be Continued….

Leave This Town (Part One of Three) finale

This is the story of a bad man. A man who was once a good boy, the good boy was like all the other good boys. He love baseball and running. The good boy had a loving father and mother, till one day the loving father died. He died by the good boy hands.
The good boy ran home from practice to find his loving father fist striking his mother face, again and again. The good boy yelled at his father. The father saw his little boy and yelled at him, to go to his room. This is something you would not understand the father ranted, the boy said no. The father punch him in the jaw, the boy lost some teeth. Two on the side and one on the front.
The boy try to stand, that’s when the father pull a gun from his belt. He pointed it at the boy’s mother. The good boy look up in horror at his father screaming at his mother calling her a whore and a bitch. The gun now against her head. The mother now crying buckets of tears, snot falling out of nose like water. The boy grab her father leg and bit down as hard as his hurt jaw would allow.
The once good father cry and out in pain as he kick the boy away. He level the gun at the boys head, the good boy died that day…….

The tall gray beast spit out blood and god know what else at my feet. I took a step towards the gray monster that had once scared me. I grip a metal bat in each hand, my teeth clench tight. I level a bat at the gray monster head. He screech at it like an animal who had met a rival. One that it fear but yet admiral. I took another step at it and spit at it.
Blood drip from my mouth, I could hardly feel my leg anymore. I turn my head to see Anna standing just inside the supermarket. She had her hand over her mouth. I wanted her to run, but if I did not kill this gray beast now this whole city would no longer be safe. Well as safe as this fuck up world can be.
Are eyes met, me and Gray. “You know I once knew a guy like you. He was as tall as you too.” Gray scream at that.
Bits of blood and saliva litter my face. “He once try to kill me, just like you did.” I said. Gray trash around and cry towards the sky, as if saying fight me! I just took another step towards him. “But he died…..just like you’re going to. WITH MY FUCKING BAT STRIKING YOU’RE HEAD! OVER AND OVER AGAIN T’ILL YOU NOTHING BUT GOO!”
I turn my heel to the left, my body curving towards the Gray. I bit down on my teeth, suck in air between the gaps. I leap at Gray with all my might screaming, the same thing I scream before this all happen, “HERE THERE BE A DRAGON!”
My bats struck the, its long pale hands struck back…….. Today the bad man will died.

A bad thing was born in the boy’s place, the boy reach for the gun. He wrap his little fingers around the barrel. He and his father wrestle with it, both of them falling to the ground in front of the boy’s mother. The father tossed the boy aside and kick him in the head, the boy started to lose himself to sleep.
He watch as the world grew dark, the last thing the boy saw before he died is the father blowing a big red hole in his mother’s skull. The boy died with a bang.
When the boy who was no longer awoke, he saw his father crying. Weeping his eyes out over the dead boy’s mother. The father said he was sorry, but the boy said nothing. He said nothing for his father for the rest of the night, he said nothing as he help bury the body of his mother in their backyard. He said nothing the next day at school. The boy said nothing when he killed his father with the same gun that killed his mother.
It was simple he did it when the father slept, he stood by the bed. The gun he found below the bed. Still bloody and cold. Days had pass sense the father killed the mother, the boy had lost count how long has pass. Nor did he care.
He press the gun against the father’s head, the father did not stir. The boy killed him as easy as breathing. He felt no remorse or sadness. He killed him and call the police, he told them everything on the phone.
The boy waited for them to come, they took him to a place far away called a boy’s home. He stay there one night. He ran and ran till he reach the city. The city where his mom was from. He stay there on the street for a few nights, cold and hungry.
The boy cry, for his mother and for his no good father. He cry for how he could not save his mother. He cried for the loss of his evil father, he cried and cried till he fell asleep.
The boy awoke to find a bat in his hands. He had no idea how he got it. He turn it over in his dirty, slim hands. Where you come from? The bat was long and blue. A lot like the one he had when he played baseball. He kept the bat and went to find food.
He found some in trash cans and on the ground, old food but food. After eating and drinking water from a drain he got sick and passed out. He came too in a fever and cover in his own vomit. He walk till he could walk no more and fell on the ground, I’m going to die.
He lay on the ground, in some alley his mother’s city. He close his eyes, the bat sill clutch in his small boy hands.

The bad man hands, now strong held two bats as he landed his first blow on the Gray. A bat struck the Gray head and knock it back, a hand swing down and swipe at me. I lean to the left and struck again and again.
The Gray ran at me, I leap the right and fell on my side. Using my wrist I made it to my feet, ready to swing at the beast. Gray stood a few yards from me, snarling at me. I ran at it my feet hitting the wet pavement, I jump and swing.
Hit the left shoulder of the Gray. It thrash its body back and forth. I back off and size it up, I can’t keep going at it. My leg almost done and I think I may have bleed too much. After making my way pass all the Blue back at the supermarket doors I don’t know how much I can take. I got to bring this son bitch now!
I drop my arms and walk towards it, I only got one shot at it. My bats drag on the water on the ground. I’m cold, so cold. I start to run, this idea is stupid but it work before so maybe it will work now. The Gray planted it feet, its pale skin wet and strong. It spread its long arm wide, it knew that I had plan.
My feet now high stepping, water splash around us, I can’t see anymore. Too much rain and splash. But I don’t need to, I take one big step and raise my bats, I come out of my shoes and go in for my last idiotic attack.

The boy eyes open to a group of teenagers around him. They said they would help him. They fed him and clothes him. Took care of his sickness and made him one of them. He became one with the brotherhood of the city.
The boy grew into a bad man, he kill many. Men and woman but never kids. He and his brothers kept the city safe, he rule the city with an iron bat, he was known for his hate of guns. So the bad man use two bats. He killed with the bats, one day he lost one.
About ten days before the rain came, he fought a bad man like himself. Someone who hurt kids who try to hurt of one the bad man’s brothers. After trading blows the other bad man pull a gun.
The bad man became so enrage he lost it, he drop his arms, ran at the other bad man. He let the bats drag on the ground. He high step into a jump out of his shoes and scream as he leap out of his shoes……...

He high step into a jump and out of his shoes and scream, “HERE THERE BE A DRAGON!” Breaking the metal bat in two along with the Grays head. The beast fell down water and blue blood flooding everywhere.
The bad man strike again and again till nothing but goo was left. He scream at the Blue around him he scream it over and over again, here there be a dragon. The bad man started to fall. Now I can die the monster is dead this is where the story ends, this is where the monster dies. Here is where the bad man dies, he look up towards the sky.
Rain fell from the sky, run Anna please just run leave this god dam like I should have, like we both should.
Run till you find the sun, the ground rush towards as the band man died.
Water splash and a something warm grab him from behind and held him up. He turn and saw a little but not short, an odd girl with snot running down nose screaming at him.
“YOU STUPID FUCKING MORON!” scream Anna.  She held me up with are her might. “You can’t die. I won’t let you. Now come on help me walk.” She said.
“ok.” I all I could say.
“I’m hurt really bad, ribs are mess up and so is your leg. So let’s go to my tower…..” she stop and we started to walk. “And leave this fucking town. Ok?”
“ok.” I said again. We walk towards her tower, the Blue followed after us.

~~Leave This Tower. (Part two of three) Finale

This is the story of a girl who hated life. Why did this girl hate life? Because she is an angel of death, everywhere she goes, people die.
Good people, bad people it does not matter, people die. All this girl’s life she brought nothing but death, she an angel of death.  This is the story of Anna.
When she came into this world she took her mother’s life with her, the nurse had to cut open her mother stomach to get her out. Anna mother died screaming. She has no recollection of this day but at night when she sleeps she hears the screams of her mother.
Her father and big brother were all she had left. The brother five years older understood what happen but did not hate his sister, he saw her as the only good thing to come from what happen to their mother. The father did not hate his daughter no. But he also could not love her with his whole heart, everyday he saw her he saw his wife. He love her but in a very small part of the father’s heart he may have hated her, Anna never knew.
At age three the father remarried, to a young woman. The brother cared little for the mother he said she was trying to replace his mother. Anna just try to be happy. The new mother hated Anna she saw her as the thing that kill the mother which was her old friend of hers.
No matter what Anna did the new mother treated her like dirt, so Anna spent her early childhood and into her early preteens with her head bury in fiction.
Any fiction, books, movies, TV shoes, anime and anything else that rip away her world. She did not hate her new mother, no she wanted to love her but she knew that she was death. Anna knew she killed her mother. She is the monster at the end of the book, she is the king in yellow. Michael Meyers, Jason, Pinhead, Zeon, the Zabi family, Mr. Smith and every other dam villain in the world of fiction.
I am the villain, I am death. She said this to herself each day, and each night. If your have anything to do with me you die. She knew this. She knew this well.
In her first year of third grade over five other students died. Two got sick with a cold, and the other three died on a bus crash, she walk that day. I should have been on that bus. She told her brother this and he said she was lying to herself.
You are no villain, her brother told Anna often. Bad things happen Anna you just have to live with it, just like the rest of us. He told me that almost every day, till he could no longer tell me anything.
I and my brother were walking home from school one day when he almost died.  That day the sun shine and birds sing, neither of us had any idea of what about to happen. My brother would have said things like this just happen but I know that it was because of me… I cause it to happen.
We stop at a crosswalk and I look over at my brother to say something that when it happen, a screech of tires and a long draw out honk of a horn and a flash of a red car, after that nothing.
I woke up to my step mother and father crying at my bed side, I was cover in bandages on my face and hands. Besides those I am fine, I said their names my father look up and only cry more. He wrap me in a hug and told me.
My big brother did not die but is no longer home, that what he said. He is brain dead. The next few years I help my brother. Bath him, dress him and feed him. Me and my father. We brush his teeth, took him to the bathroom. He could still walk and chew, and well function but’s that it.
My big brother who always said that I am not an angel of death has now suffer a fate worse than any death I could have given him.
It’s my fault and I knew it. If I had not been there he would save himself, and now he dead and only his brain dead husk remains.
I hate life and I destroy life.
I kill my brother and now am alone.
When I turn 15 my step mother sent me off to the city to attend a boarding school, she did it just to get rid of me, and I care little. I said good bye to my father kiss my brother on the cheek, he said nothing back and said nothing to my step mother.
I only spent half a year at that school but two people die why I was there. One of a car accident and the other ended their own life. Maybe I should do that, I had not try that……..
I almost did it once too, kill myself. I had a knife on my wrist, it’s the anniversary of my brother’s death, and rain fell outside.
I started to pull on the long silver knife when my phone ring. I jump and drop the knife. I pick up the phone and the world ended. My step mother yelled into my ear saying that I should come home right away. I ask why and she said that they found a way to save him!
Save who? I ask.
She said your brother. She told me to come right now, I said I would and I hung up and put on my jacket and I ran out outside into the rain.
I could find no bus running so I ran home, it was only twenty miles. It took me almost a whole day to get back to my family home.
The lights are all out.
Using my key I open the door to find no one in the house, I check all the rooms but no one home. That when I saw them in the back yard. My father, stepmother and big brother all stood naked in the rain.
I look at them and could not understand what I was seeing, I took a step outside and they all attack me.  I ran from them but they chase me, my father kept a gun under his bed, I crawl my way up the stairs as my family gave chase. I trip as the grab and pull at me shoes and pants. What the fuck is going on? It’s like invasion of the body’s snatchers. I kick my father’s face in, I held back tears as I scrabble up the stairs and flung myself into my father’s bedroom.
I threw the door shut and lock it, the three of them just stop at the door. I could see them just standing waiting for me to come out. I reach under the bed and pull out a lockbox, locked. Where is the key? I search the room, not under the bed or in the closet. I try the nightstand and the dresser. They still just stood outside. Fuck I scream! Where is that dam key!
I kick down the nightstand and saw a little glean off the bottom as it fell, I keen down to find the key tape to the bottom of the nightstand. After retreating the key and unlocking the lockbox I pull out my father’s small hand gun.
Right before going away to boarding school my father taught me how to shoot his gun, now I would shoot him with it. I step to the door and level the gun with the frame. Using my left hand I unlock the door and it flew open.
I cock the hammer the handgun and pull the trigger over and over, till I ran out of bullets. I scream at them, over and over. I’m sorry!
After a few moment of just hearing clicking of the empty gun I came back to myself to find my father and stepmother dead at my feet. They both had small red holes in their heads and chest, my brother however was not dead.
He just lay there on the ground, with two holes in his arm, I look down at him and just reacted. Using the butt of the gun, I brought it down on his skull and he stop stirring. My brother still breathe.
I wrap him in a sheet, and pull him down to my father’s car, I loaded him the trunk.
After that things happen really fast, we drove back to the city and things went bad, people turn and attack us.
I used my father’s gun to keep us safe, after some time we found ourselves in an old Office Max, I wrap him up in some chains and drag him up the stairs. After binding him up in the office room and found us some food at a supermarket. I just sit and stare at him after that.
The TV before it went said that something had started sending message about the rain, to become one with it. A Blue as we call them.
So that’s what you are, Jeff a Blue. I watch Jeff by myself, help him heal, and just watch him. He did not eat he just stare off. I went out on hunts and just talk to Jeff I did this for what seem like a long time till he came till the batter came, now that’s where you came in…….

“Now that where you came in.” I Said. I and Batter sat across from each other. He now was patch up as best as I could.
He had told me his story then I told him mine. He just stare at Jeff and then me. After a few more seconds of nothing I got up and walk over to a window. Thousands of Blue stood with their arms raise on all sides of my tower.
“Ok. I think we need to leave this city. Anna. Will you come with me?” Batter ask. I turn to find him right next to me looking down at the hell that became his mother’s city. Could I leave Jeff? Did I even want to go with him? I would get him killed.
“Um, Batter I think you should go on your own. I would only get you dead.” I said. He stare at me.” I am an angel of death. You know that. So just go without me and……” I stop. My voice catching I could feel tears coming. I didn’t want Batter to go. I may be a form of death but I don’t want to be alone. I bit my lip and said, “Live long and prosper.” I said.
Batter grab me in a bear hug, he said nothing just held me. “Why do you do that?” he ask.
“Do what?”
“Use some dumb quote or pop culture reference to avoid your emotions. You don’t have to, now please Anna come with Me.” he said.
I broke from his embrace and look over at Jeff. My big brother always said things just happen. Is this one of the things, big bro?
Jeff said nothing.
I took Batter hand, and squeeze. “Ok babe. Let’s leave this fucking town.” I said.
“Yean let’s leave this fucking town. Anna.” Batter said.
We gather all the food I had, all the guns and anything else we could carry, Batter had his bat in one hand my hand in the other.
Me I had two shotgun on her back and two packs straps too her arm. Batter stood by the hallway as I walk over to Jeff, my big brother. I lean in too kiss him on the cheek before I blow his brains out, when I saw his eyes and scream.
I back away with one of my shotgun draw. Batter came to by side, with his one bat raise. His arms leg wrap in crew medical tape, “what? What’s wrong?” he ask. His voice raising in a panic.
“His eyes! Jeff eyes there just like the big one from the supermarket!” I scream. Right at that moment my brother change, his arms grew large and thin, his legs turn white and the chains shatter. He stood up with his back arching and twisting. He took on a snake like neck, he became the Gray that Batter fought in the street. He had the same lean and long body, his teeth forming. Batter and me just stare in horror of how screw we were.
“They can change.” Said Batter. “Oh shit!” he said. Neither of us said anything but we both hope that the big Blue at the supermarket was just an isolated incident but I think we were wrong. The Jeff Gray moves towards us. We began to move back.
With are back to the stairwell and my monster brother Jeff facing us, we raise are weapons, Batter took one of my hands and squeeze in again.
This is the story of an angel of death name Anna and a bad man with no name, and we are leaving this town. We turn and ran for the stairs as my brother scream a long and loud screech as we ran. My brother gave chase.

Author  note- only one to go! see ya!

# 10 FINAL

~~Leave This Town (Part Three of Three)

The bat felt lite in my hand as I held Anna’s Hand, as we ran down the stairs. Are shoes slam down the stairs in sync. We said nothing just ran. My leg is killing me, oh shit this hurts!
Jeff, Anna’s brother yelled again and came at us. The gray thing did not run down the stairs but jump down to slamming into each floor.
“Come on! We got to get to the ground!” I scream.
We rounded another rail and stop, I let go of Anna hand and look over the railing. We are five floor from the ground, shit we can’t jump from here.
“We can’t make that jump!” I said.
“Fuck! Ok come on babe!” Anna scream. She grab her wrist and pull and drag me down another two flights. She stop and look at me.
“Do you trust me?” she ask.
“Yean. I guess?” I answer. She hug me, wrapping her arms around my back. She let go and still holding my wrist we jump over the rail and fell the last three floors. I don’t know what day it is anymore, but I do know today is the day we leave this town, one way or the other we both scream on the way down, hoping we would not die.

We fell to the ground in a roll, my feet slipping and sliding on the wet ground. My leg stop hurting, shit that can’t be good. Anna pull herself up and fell back down, she grab my hand she pull both of us to the door, and we saw that hundreds of Blue stood in the intersection.
“Ok Batter are you ready?” she ask.
“Yean. Just you never answer my question.” I said. Jeff roar again, more shattering of rock and metal came after. Dam that monster is coming, it’s now or never. “Well? Why do you always dogged things with stupid jokes and quotes about movies and stuff?”
“What things?” she ask.
“Feeling and stuff, things that matter. That stuff.” I said. She look at me and laugh.
“I tell you stuff when we get out of here Ok?”
“Nuff said.” I said.
Anna level her shotgun and I held on to my bat with all my might, she grab my hand and we face the doors.
“YOU MAY TAKE ARE LIFES, BUT YOUR NEVER TAKE ARE FREEDOM!” Anna scream. We ran out into the city, Braveheart really come on Anna, really?

The first thing I saw as we ran outside is that every Blue here wants to kill us not just tear are clothes off. They all went into attack mode and try to bite and tear at us. They all ran not walk at us, their faces twisted in a sort of twisted rage, teeth showing and arms swinging with finger nails reach out. Oh god and the rain was hard, it hurt as it fell. Like being stab by small thump tacks all over your body. The Blue came at us, with Anna standing next to me and with my one good arm we move forward.
Anna hoisted her shotgun at the closets Blue and fired, blue blood and brain matter spray at us, I put my right foot forward and swung, arching my arm and my bat coiled with the Blue to be right. It fell and I made its head goo.
Two more came from the right and three on the left, Anna lock eyes with me and wink. She let go of my hand and took down the two that came towards her. The shotgun sounded like thunder striking the earth over and over again.
I brought my bat to my chest and ran at the three on the left, I leap at them throwing my whole body at them. We fell and swing, bringing my weight down on the three smashing any part I could find. They stop moving on the fourth swing, I stood and reach out with my bad hand. Her hand found mine and she held it tight.
We ran onward, blue on all sides. I swing as we ran and Anna took pot shots as we went. We be surrounded and we break away. She go on the right and me on the left. Five around her she shot the last two of the shotgun. She threw it at the Blue, she kick the one closet too us. Then Anna pull her pack off her back, bringing out two hand guns from it.
She fire at their heads and chest area, I on the other hand, a bat does not run out of ammo. I made the five foot area around me a batter box, swing and lean back and swing. Taking each Blue as if they are a ball from a pitcher. Some are fast ball and other curves.
A fast ball came at me, a small Blue with a lean chest and strong leg muscles. It leap at me like a frog, I duck. Wow talk about a foul ball……. Ok no more baseball puns.
The frog Blue jump at me again it legs twisting and churching in the air, I grip the bat in both of my hands, I swung upward, the frog Blue head made a loud BREAK and then a THUD, as it landed next to me.
Anna and I regroup, around us more and more Blue circle us like birds of prey waiting to eat its dyeing prey.
“Were not making any progress, babe!” Anna scream. The rain drown out her voice. We are no more than five blocks from my tent, right pass it is the bridge. From then on we run, I told Anna all this and she laugh.
“Ok babe! Easy enough, we just got to walk pass thousands of hungry Blue and you can hardly walk. Oh and I forgot my brother gone hulk, and is after are brains on a stick! Did I forget anything?” she ask.
The Blue lumber forward their arms reach towards the sky, offering us as tribute to the rain,” yean your spare packs are gone!” I scream.
She look down at her arm. “Fuck me!” she check her guns. “Only about five shots each! In the pack I got two more clips and that all she wrote!” she look behind her. “He coming!” she scream.
Just than a loud screech echo after us, Jeff is coming.
“Come on! We got to keep moving!” I said.
We started to move forward Anna took out a few Blue, her guns out she reach around for her last pack. I cover her, the Blue came at us. All of them reaching and tearing, each of them with their mouths open screaming with no voice.
I swing and swing, taking out as many as I could. I did not aim anymore, my body just move on its own, bashing more and more heads in. some small others big, it’s like a greatest hits collection of my life, and I played my heart out.
“Ready! Babe get down!” Anna scream. I look down thinking she had ready her handguns only to see a small gray ball in her hand. What the hell is she going to do, play catch? She yank me down to the pavement and toss the grey ball over her shoulder.
“What the hell are you doing? This is no time for games Anna!” I scream. She gave me a smile that would make all the Blue in the city piss there pants.
“That no ball, babe! “She wrap me in a hug, “IT A SPACESTATION!” She scream. Right than the world caught fire, oh ok a grenade. WHAT! A GREANDE!
“We got to move!” I scream. The grenade went off with such force we could no longer move. The rain stop falling and a ringing wine in my ears. I look up and saw bodies falling from the sky. Blue blood, rain and rock rain down after the blast had subsided.
“Come on! Let’s go!” I scream. I pull Anna she still grinning like she just won the super bowl. My leg felt bigger and larger than it should. The Blue had ran, maybe the blast scare them, or they running away to attack us again at another time? I had no idea. Me and Anna lifted each other up and limp up the street, the rain still falling down.
“Where did you get a grenade?” I ask.
“Oh I got that from my dad stuff, he was a bit of a gun nut! Come on only four blocks to go.” She said. We kept moving.
The Blue had stop coming after us. Actually no Blue are in sight, where the hell did they all go? No matter when I’ve gone outside there always a Blue or two, the city is never Blue free. No way has Anna grenade killed all of them.
“Where are all the Blue?” Anna ask. She look around, we are alone in the street.
“I don’t know! So what are we going to do when we get to the bridge? We can’t keep going like this? You’re exhausted and so am I.” I look ahead, I could see my red tent. Only two blocks to go. “Fuck it lets just get to my tent first.”
“Yean sounds swell, I always think better on my feet anyway!” she said. “So Batter, what’s your real name anyway?” Anna ask.
My real name, wow I haven’t use it in years. For the longest time I just was the bad guy, a person to be fear. I had no real name, I told Anna this she laugh and slow her pace.
“Yean you’re a real man with no name! Ha!” she cover her hand with her mouth. She laugh some more and stop walking. She sway a little, oh shit she about to fall. I grab her and hold her up. I reach for her hand but she pulls it back.” No! I’m ok! Really let’s just keep going.” She said. Anna let go of me and walk ahead.
“How about I tell you my full name first?” Anna said. She turn to look at me, the Blue had all but gone from our minds, and it was like we were on some date and got caught in the rain.
“Ok! Yean sure. You tell me yours and then I will tell you mine.” I said. Anna took a few step towards me and stop.
She drop her hand gun and put it in her jacket pocket, and let her arms hang. She pull back her hood and let her hair fall. I could get a good look at her face now, she was cover in small scares and cuts. Her yellow hair fell to her shoulders. Her eyes glow with such brightness I would swear to this day that I look upon the sun that day. She smile and cry, she laugh again and this time did not cover her mouth. Blood came out when she did. She smile again, “my full name is……” she collapse.
I ran to her as she fell to the ground, I lifted her up by her waist and fell warm spot under her jacket. I pull it up to show blood flowing from a piece of metal sticking out of her ribs. Oh god! The grenade, she must have got hurt when it went off.
“Anna! Can you hear me! ANNA!” I scream.
Her eyes open once and she smile at me, “my name is Angelica Sky. Or Anna for short.” She cough again. Then she pass out.
“Anna no! Oh god no! Come on Anna! Don’t die on me!” I yelled. I don’t know if I should but I lifted her up and carry her, I put my bat on her hands, and started to walk. My bad leg almost giving at every step. No Blue came at us, I try calling her name but she would not respond. I could still feel her heart beat. That means she alive, ok almost there.
“Come on Anna! Walk up please! Were almost out of here, just a few more feet.” I said to her. She had not stir, I felt something in her jacket pocket. It felt small but I knew what it was, a gun. Only one more block.
I turn as I move, some Blue had now come out now. I kept moving. Just have to make it to the bridge. I look down at Anna’s face. She look so small in my hands now, you can’t die I said again and again. In my head almost like a mantra.
Only half a block to go, my leg felt like an anchor. Just got to keep moving. Just got to keep moving, I said over and over again. Sometimes I scream other times I said it to myself. Just twenty more feet. I talk to Anna some as we walk.
“You know I don’t think you’re an angel of death, no your brother Jeff was right, sometimes life just happens. Bad things happen Anna, you’re not at fault. Yean my dad kill my mom does that make me a bad guy no, no. what I did to other people made me a bad guy. Your brother was hurt it’s not your fault. Things just happen, people die. Your brother, my mother, they died. It’s what we do after they go that makes us who we are. I blame my father for making me this person and you think you’re an angel of death. No Anna you’re not an angel of death, and it’s not my father fault for what I became. I am what I am, by my own choosing and your Anna are not an angel of death….. If anything you’re an angel of hope.” We reach the tent. I knew he was there even before I saw him. “And now I’m going to show you that you’re not death. We are going to live!” I said. I open my tent and sat Anna down, a grab the gun sticking out of her jacket pocket.
I kiss her on the cheek, using my bat I step out of the tent and face Anna’s Brother Jeff who now stood between us and the bridge.
“Come on you motherfucker! My name is Hiro Light! I am a dragon and I will take your fucking head off!” I scream. Jeff long slender body turn and twist, he scream and ran at me. I had Anna’s gun in one hand and my bat in the other, I ran at him screaming.

My name is Angelica Sky, or Anna. I am dying, me and my brother once when we were young went to a book store. My father and stepmother did not let us go on are own a lot, but today they let us ride the bus to the local bookstore, we talk the whole way. We talk about the past, future and about mom, this is the last time I can remember being happy. When we got to the book store my brother gave me a few bucks and told me he buy me any book I wanted.
We spent all afternoon wondering the stacks, I wanted so many of these books. My Brother just laugh and said yes to all of them.
After some time, I don’t really know how much my brother told me that he had to go, go where I ask him?
He said that he had to leave but I had to stay, he said he had to leave before me. He said that he had to meet a friend of mine first, what friend I ask? We stood in the stacks, they are so tall they reach towards the heavens. Books of all kinds look upon us, horror, sci-fi, young adult. All of them looking down upon us, my brother Jeff told me to wait here, that my friend would soon come for me.
He handed me a book, Jeff said to read it till my friend came, he walk towards the end of the stack. He said he had to go now, Wait! I said don’t leave me! But he said he had to, just read the story. I sat down at look at the book title, HERO LIGHT.
The cover showed a big scary gray monster, and a man holding a shield in one hand and a sword in the other, he worn a skull on his back. My brother turn and wave to me as he left,” the hero will appear soon Anna, just hang on ok!” Jeff said, than he was gone.
I wipe the tears form my eyes and began to read the book, HERO LIGHT only had a few pages in it, I began to read, and once upon a time a bad man met a lost woman……

“Once upon a time a bad man met a lost woman, her name is Anna. She was so sad and lost, she did not know she needed help but neither did I. I am the bad man Jeff, and now for once I am going to do something good!” I scream as Jeff struck.
My bad leg gave out as his attack came for me, he cave down me with both of his arms swinging around. I roll, pain screaming from my leg, I raise my bat and hit Jeff across the face. He scream louder and started to punch me again and again.
My vision started to blur, using my bat as a shield I block one of Jeff slender arms, I use the second it gave me I crawl away. Jeff ran at me like a wild dog, I try to make it to my feet but Jeff was upon me again.
I swing again, striking rain as it fell, I stuck him in on the top of the head, he back off and whimper like a dog. The head, the accident! He has brain damage! I only had one attack left. Using my bat once more I made it to my feet. Jeff scream with his arms raise upwards and came up me. I bit my hand to get my blood flowing. I had a moment of adrenaline rush and ran at him, my arms drop and I let my bat drag on the ground. I started to run and did a high jump out of my shoes.
I raise my bat and scream with all my might, right then Jeff leap to we both sail towards each other like too planes who could no longer change course, I aim for his head, Jeff scream both of his long slender hands reaching out towards me.
I swing, and Jeff slash.
I landed on my feet, my sock now cold from the rain. I look down at them to see red rain fall to the ground. Weird? Red rain.
I fell to the ground, with a slash of red across my chest. Jeff stood behind me screaming and just fine. I had missed.
I can’t move anymore! My leg refuse to move as Jeff pick me up in his hands and offer me to the rain. My hood fell back and rain water cover my face. Jeff look at me at eye level. My bat fell out of my hand. I’m sorry, I’m sorry was all I could say.
“I’m sorry. I am sorry….this is one promise I will have to break.” I said. Jeff scream at my face his mouth open wide and long. He tighten his grip, wrapping his arms around one of my arms and ribcage Jeff started to crush me, blood flow from the slash in my chest, my hand now held nothing as I raise in a fist. My last stupid hope, I punch him on the side of the head, he just scream. I punch him again, again.
Jeff started the squeeze, I could not breath. I punch him again and he let my other hand fall I drop the fist.
The light started to fade, Jeff scream. I raise my other hand for one last chance, I level my hand against the side of Jeff hand and fired.
The hand gun went off over and over again, Jeff started to flail around screaming. I scream back at him, I just kept firing over and over till Jeff fell.
His release loosen and I crawl out towards my tent. The hand gun now out, Hiro toss it next to Jeff’s gray body. I crawl towards the tent, leaving a trail of blood behind me. I unzip the tent and reach for Anna hand. I grab it and pull myself up, I raise her up and put Anna on my shoulder and somehow, I started to walk. I walk out of the tent and started to walk up the bridge, I made it a few yards before I could walk no further. I fell on my keens and sat Anna on the ground.
I touch her cheek,” we did it Anna. We made it out of the city.” The city limit sign stood a few feet behind us.
Blue appear in front of us, just one. A young man about my age, he held something in his hands. I stood up and fell back to one keen.
“Come on! Just come at me! I will not let you hurt her!” I scream at the young Blue. He walk towards me as I fell face first on the ground. The Blue grab me as I lost consciousness.

I awoke in a very tall book stack, I look down to see my wound gone. My clothes are dry. I stood up to find my leg fine. I walk around some, this place looks just like the old bookstore by my old house before my mom was killed.
I went to my favorite section, young adult. I walk down the stacks, white light stream in on the tall stacks. I turn down another stack to find a young boy standing before me.
“Hey Batter! Been waiting for ya.” Said the young boy.
“Who are you? Where am I?” I ask.
“You’re safe. But none of that matters, you need to go to her. She waiting.” The young boy ran pass me, he stop and wave to me. “It was nice meeting you Batter! Go on my sister waiting.” And he ran down the stacks.
Who was that, and his sister waiting for me? I walk down the stack till I got to the main section of the young adult section, there she is.
Anna sat with her hands wrap around her keens, with a book open at her feet. She had finish the book. I walk towards her, “Anna! You’re ok!” I yelled.
She look up with tears in her eyes, “Batter! Your alive!” she scream she ran towards me and jump in my arms, “you’re ok!” she wrap me in a hug, she jump down and slap me.
“You jerk! I thought you died! The book said you did.” She said.
“No I’m not dead, I don’t think I am at least, and what do you mean by the book said I died?” I ask. She grab my hand and led me to where she had been sitting. She handed me the book, the book was called HERO LIGHT.
“It was about you fighting Jeff, you beat him and then you carry me. It was all very epic and sweet. But then you collapse when a Blue was about to attack you! So I thought you died.” She said.
I look at her, I realized that I did not care if I were dead. I wanted to know if Anna is ok or not. I grip her hand and pull her with me in the stacks. “Where are we going?” she ask.
I pull her along, after stack after stack. Where is it? Come on where is it? After running for what seem like forever, we found it. The exit.
We stood before a big plate glass door with exit written on the center of the door. I took Anna hands and wrap her in a hug.
“What are we doing? Are we going to leave?” she ask.
“Yes Anna were getting out of this town, ok.” I said.
She look at me and then back at the door, “no. first tell me your name.” she said. I released the hug and put my head against hers.
“My name is...” I look her in the eyes and kiss her. This moment I wanted to last forever, for the rest of my life. But we had to leave, we release and I kiss her on the cheek one more time, “Hiro Light.” I said.
She shake her head and laugh, “No your name is Hero Light. “Anna said.” now get me out of here Mr. Wizard”
We kiss again and the door open and light engulf us.

I open my eyes to find the sun looking down at me, I sat up. Pain shot up my leg and in my chest, my eyes shot close for it was too bright, where the hell am I heaven. Well if I’m in heaven why am I in pain?
“Whoa! Easy sir! Calm down!” someone said. They lean me back and again I felt sleepy,” just relax you are safe, welcome to the GOF.” Someone said. Wait what is the GOF? I wanted to say but then sleep found me and pull me down into darkness.

I awoke some time later to find someone holding my hand. I open my eyes to find myself in a white room. A girl with yellow hair sat at my bedside.
“Anna!” I rasp. Her eyes shot open and she started to cry. Her eyes are red from crying, she wearing a white hospital grown and looks very clean.
“Hero! Your alive!” she jump on me and I cry out in pain. “Oh! Shit sorry! But you’re alive! You’re not going to believe this!” she said. “It’s back!” she said.
I held her, “No your alive! How? Where? I don’t know where to begin!” I scream. She lean in close and kiss me. Were safe, somehow I knew that we were safe. I look down at myself. My leg is wrap in a white cast, I am wearing a white grown. I feel funny like I took some pills or something.
“How about here!” she scream again. “But you’re not going to believe this! It amazing!” she scream thrusting her arms in the air. I look around us, the room seem different. Light is everywhere, it not dark. It’s like the world is made of light.
“What! What is it!” I ask. But I already knew and I started to cry.
“The sun! The rain stop falling!” she scream. I scream as well, of joy we scream.

We had been found by a rescuer crew of people called the new government of the free, they treated us and took us to the safe heaven call Hollow Falls, small gated town some three hundred miles away from the city. A place of people who had held off the Blue and kept people safe. They now try to find survivors and bring them back to the safety of Hollow Falls.
The GOF as they’re called had been searching for survivors, we are the only two the found in a hundred miles.
After the save us, me and Anna both near death had been taken care of by the doctors in Hollow Falls, Anna had awoken after two weeks and had not left my side till I woke.
I took another two days before I came two, but one day before the rain just stop. The Blue had all just fell to the ground and died, no one knew why. The sun had just came back.
Maybe it was us, or maybe it was someone else, I don’t know. Some people say it was god, other say some people had save mankind by killing the leader of the Blue, like I said I don’t know and I don’t really care.
The sun has shine and rain has fallen, normal rain for over ten years now. Today is….
“Hey Hero! Come on little Jeff wants to go to the book store!” Anna scream. We now live on a beach a few miles from Hollow Falls, we both work as rescuers. People trying to help the world live again. But we now spend most of our time on this beach with are three old son, Jeff.
After all that happen I and Anna could not stand to leave each other side, I had fallen for the lost odd woman.
Anna appear wearing a cotton dress and jeans. Her yellow hair now long and straight. “Stop writing about rain and come be with your wife and very cute son.” She said.
“Coming babe! Just got to finish this last thing and I am done. Ok!” I said.
“Whatever you say Mr. King! “She joked.
Little Jeff ran in, all three feet of him, he had Anna hair and my good looks or so I say.
“Go! Go! Books!” he yelled! Are son little Jeff love being read books, I think he learn that from us. After we the rain stop me and Anna had help reopen the local bookstore and library and save as many book as we could. We then read as many as we could also.
“Ok! Let’s go.” I said. I put down my pen, some parts Anna wrote I did the bulk of it. I record of days, of rain days
I decide to try my hand I writing my own story of are days in the city, mankind is going to want to know what happen so I am telling them my and Anna story.
We walk out of the house, on to the beach.
The sky big and Blue. The sun yellow and bright. I look Anna in the eyes, the lost woman who save a bad man. We both held on to one of Jeff’s hands.
“Come on Hero! Let’s go on a hunt!” she said. We both laugh.
“Yean! Book hunt with mommy and daddy!” scream little Jeff.
As we walk up the beach to Hollow Falls and then on to the books store, I look up at the sky. Today is… fuck it today the sun shines and we have many days of sun left for us.
I Hero Light and Angelica Sky Light, our son Jeff Light now walk in the sun, today are days of sun, sun days.

The end F.I.N.
