Chapter 1 – Welcome to Hell

Waking up every day in a world where you don't fit… it's a torture, isn't it? At least, that's what I experienced. But then, I made the only thing I could do… wake up in another world. Though, I didn't expect to see what I woke up to.

My name is none of your business. I can say how I look like though. I have grey eyes, dark hair, my hair being pulled back, somewhat spiky. My clothes? Well… a white hoody, a grey t-shirt, black trousers, and dark sneakers. I guess that's enough for a description, wouldn't you say? You may be wondering why I'm telling you all this? This is my story. Not the story of my life, don't get me wrong.

This is the story of my after-life.

Where should I start…? How about… right after I died? Wait, how old am I? 16 years old. 16 and 8 months, to be exact. A bit too young to die, you might think. But I couldn't really take it anymore and the rest you can guess... I lay down and felt the blood of my body draining away and falling asleep. I hoped I would wake somewhere else.

I did. But I didn't really know where I was though. I was floating in red and black. The area was of those colors. It felt like a completely different dimension. After all, it was.

I looked exactly the same, including my clothes. My wrists weren't slit though. They did have some strange markings, colored of a pale skin tone when compared to my own. I was floating, it seemed. After all, the floor was inexistent! Below my feet was just a dark void.

"Welcome!"

A female voice echoed throughout the area. It seemed to emanate its strength through my body.

I looked around. "Who's there?"

A white flame formed right in front of my eyes, startling me. I jumped back, or at least motioned to do that, while the flame moved towards the opposite direction, and increased in size. It got around my size and then formed into… a woman. Well, she did look around my age, maybe a year or two older, but nothing beyond that.

She had violet-blue eyes, similar to the color of the sky near nightfall, but were rather sharp. Her hair was pale blonde, styled in a ponytail, a long ponytail. She had a somewhat malicious grin, which didn't scare me, but certainly left a strong impression. Her clothes were rather weird: white angel-like clothing, extending into a long skirt; she possessed metallic armor gauntlets and boots, which was rather strange taking into account her angelic like figure… she didn't look like a fighter; her clothing had various blue and yellow details, scattered around her figure and shape, which was rather attractive. Her waist was thin, her hips not so large, and her chest was in the normal standards of girls of my age. Nothing really out of the ordinary. Well, at least, now it wasn't. At the beginning, it was as confusing as hell.

"No need to be alarmed." She muttered, closing her eyes, but maintaining that grin.

"Who are you? And where am I?"

"Oh. You know me by many, many names, even if some of them are wrong. But my one and true name is enough to answer both your questions." This scared me a bit. "My name is Lucifer."

My mind quickly put 2 and 2 together. "Then… this is…"

"Welcome to Hell!" she spoke, laughing loudly. Her voice was strong, but still within the normal standards of someone my age. Of course, if she was indeed Lucifer, she was far older. "You must be wondering why you're here."

"More or less. I mean, I was never really bad to anyone in my life. I'm curious as to why I'm here."

"You're taking this pretty lightly." She noticed, opening her eyes once again.

"Well, I committed suicide. I would either be here, in Heaven, or in eternal darkness. I was aware of that." I answered, crossing my arms and grinning. "So, why is Lucifer, the Devil itself, or rather, herself, talking to me? I would consider this an honor if this wasn't Hell."

"Oh, you should be honored. By the way, "Devil" isn't exactly the best term to call me as. And stop with the act, I know you're not like that kind of super-confident guy you're trying to pull off. You're talking to me, after all."

I sighed, relieved. I might be confident, but I'm not confident enough to actually pull the act I was trying to pull with Lucifer, the act I've been pulling my entire life. After all, she was Lucifer. I thought maybe I should look somewhat… cooler?

"I've been observing you. Well, not really observing. Maybe... Reading. I've been reading your soul for a while now. I know nothing about you, including your name, but I KNOW you." This alarmed me a bit. "I know about your not-so-little problem, and your fake-attitude. I know that you don't fit in the world because you're "too nice", that society isn't a place for people like you, people with your believes." This made me back off. She was… right. I couldn't fit, and it drove me up the wall really hard. I tried to disguise it by acting tough, even though that wasn't like me at all. "But I will offer you a deal."

"A deal?"

A Deal with the Devil? This picked my curiosity. After all, from what I knew from books and TV shows, usually the part of the human involved in the deal is promising his soul to go to hell. But I was already in Hell, so my part would be completely different. Also, since I was "dead", what could she promise me in order to accept?

"It is a complicated deal in my part, so I'll need the help of 6 "friends" of mine."

6 more flames appeared, three on each side of Lucifer. On her right side were a red, a green, and orange each. On the left were a grey, a pinkish-violet, and a brownish-yellow each.

"These are Satan, Belphegor, Leviathan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub and Mammon, in order of appearance." She indicated, presenting her friends. "The seven of us represent the Seven Deadly Sins: Pride, Wrath, Sloth, Envy, Lust, Gluttony and Greed respectively."

The first to show a figure was the red one. It expanded and turned into another woman, but again, close to my age in figure. This was Satan, the Sin of Wrath. She was a little bit taller though. Her hair was long and bright red, even reaching past through her waist. Like Lucifer, her figure was somewhat similar in terms of measures, even though she was taller, a little bit. Her eyes were deep crimson, and were sharp as well. Though, instead of a malicious grin, she possessed a cold look, showing her frenzy nature. She looked angry, but was composed, instead of jumping all over the place, like a furious person would. What really called my attention were the small-short curved devil-like horns on her head, close to the pigtails. As for her clothes, well, for starters, she had a spiky collar and spiky hand bands, similar to that of a gothic person. She had a red and black checked sailor skirt. She also possessed a belt around her waist, with a belt buckle that possessed an inverted pentagram engraved. She wore a sleeveless vermillion shirt, with the image of an inverted cross on the pattern. She also wore a trench-coat of a color similar to her eyes. Beyond the trench coat though, I managed to spot a demon tail.

The second was the grey one. Another girl appeared. This was Belphegor, the Sin of Sloth. This time, she was much shorter than me and the previous two entities. Her hair was bright grey and her eyes were silver colored. They were half closed, and she showed to be tired, despite her happy look. Her head was constantly moving up and down, like if she was trying to be awake. She had goat ears and goat horns emerging from her hair. It made me somewhat intimidated a bit at the time, despite her cute and inoffensive look. She wore a cloak, a deep grey cloak. It concealed her image, but due to the opening I could see that the only things she was wearing beyond the cloak was underwear-like clothing, silver colored, which made contrast with her tanned skin. She also had a mammalian tail, long enough for me to notice it. It looked like a thicker version of a cow's tail.

The third flame to turn into a girl was the green one. This was Leviathan, the Sin of Envy. She was a bit shorter than Lucifer. Well, since Lucifer was about the same height as me, that means she was a bit shorter. She had green wavy hair, reaching halfway through her back. It had a small ribbon tied up at the top of her head, by the way. Her eyes were colored sea-blue, and her look showed… anxiety. She seemed nervous. She possessed a kelp-green cloak very similar to the one the previous girl used, but completely opened instead of closed, so it wasn't disguising her figure. She wore the top part of a green bikini, with a sharp teeth-like pattern on it. She also wore green gloves with small spikes at the wrist area. As for the lower part, it looked rather human and current. She wore a pair of jean shorts, long blue stockings, and high heeled shoes.

The fourth girl came out of the pink-violet flame. This was Asmodeus, the Sin of Lust. Her proportions were rather… I want to say a word that means both "perfect" and "absurd" at the same time. Her chest and hips were rather large, and her waist thin when compared to the rest of her body. Comparing to Lucifer, she had about the same height, and her waist as almost as thin as Lucifer's, but the keyword here is "almost". Her hair was short, reddish-pink, reaching her neck, but a bit curly and wavy, and she possessed curly horns as well. Her eyes were hypnotically yellow, and her smile was wide and bright. She also had demon-like wings, those similar to a bat. Her clothing? It's rather hard to describe… But if I had to, I would compare it to a spider-web pattern skin-suit, With various holes and thin lines, covering the essential parts of her body, yet exposing a lot of skin. Her tail was similar to Satan's, but dark-purplish colored and with a heart-shaped end instead of a triangular one. She seemed rather childish, and she had a bright blush spread across her face. I guess she was staring at me.

The fifth one was very thin, slender if you will. This was Beelzebub, the Sin of Gluttony. She was also rather short, about the same height as Belphegor. She possessed orange her, styled in a braid, which looked nice on her. Her eyes were sapphire colored, which made a strong contrast with her hair. She possessed a pair of wings. Her wings were… transparent, with veins, resembling a fly. She possessed a pair of straight yellow horns. She wore a black and white mini-skirted maid-like outfit, with orange Halloween-pumpkin or jack o' lantern pattern throughout her clothes. I noticed a sharp fang, which intimidated me. She also possessed a tail dark reptilian-like look. She had a hand over her very thin and small stomach, almost like she was hungry.

The final being resembled more a grown woman. This was Mammon, the Sin of Greed. She was taller than any of the others, myself included. As I said before, she resembled more a grown woman, even having a motherly-look. She had brownish-blonde hair, in thin twin tails fashion, which reached her chest. Actually, her proportions were rather similar to Asmodeus, the Sin of Lust, which only intensified the adult atmosphere and mother-like resemblance. She wore a brown tight dress with golden lines and markings. She had a soft lovely smile, which, after all the scary images I had seen in that moment, made me feel comfortable and relieved.

"And what is this deal that you mentioned before?" I asked in curiosity

Lucifer was the one to explain. "The seven of us will give you eternal life, youth and regenerating abilities. Doesn't that take care of your little problem? You want to live, but without interacting with society. Well, if you're immortal, why would you need society?"

This… did make me think. "Being so generous, my part of the deal must be pretty heavy."

"Oh, so we have a smarty-pants?" Satan, the one with the red hair, spoke, showing her cold voice.

"Don't… be… mean… Satan-san..." Belphegor, the one with the silver hair, asked Satan, dozing off between words and ending with a sigh like the one someone would release right before they go to sleep.

"W-Well, i-it is!" Leaviathan, the one with the green hair, defended me.

"He's so charming…!" the one with the pinkish-red hair, Asmodeus, said, putting her hands on her cheeks, closing her eyes in excitement.

"Asmodeus, leave that for later." Beelzebub, the ginger, spoke like someone who was really straight forward. "I'm hungry…" she whispered to herself, looking down to her stomach.

"Now, now, let's all be nice." Mammon, the brunet, settled everything down, looking like she was the adult of the room.

"We need your help." Lucifer spoke again. "In exchange for your eternal life, we need you to send the demons that have escaped Hell that are on Earth back here."

"How did they escape?"

"Someone left the gates open." Mammon answered. Then, the six demons all looked towards Leviathan, the Sin of Envy, making her blush in embarrassment.

"It wasn't me, I swear!"

"Of course it wasn't." Lucifer, Sin of Pride in person, stated sarcastically, rolling her eyes, making Leviathan blush more intensely and tears appear in the corners of her eyes, but never really dropping. "Either way, we need your help. We are the Queens of Inferno, the most powerful demons in hell."

"But because we have that tittle, we don't have powers on Earth besides a couple of abilities." Asmodeus, the Sin of Lust, informed with a cheeky smile.

"And so, we need someone to do the job for us, if you put it bluntly." Satan, the Sin of Wrath, explained, crossing her arms.

"But why me?"

"Because… you're… the only one… who would… accept… eh!" Belphegor, the Sin of Sloth, spoke, trying to wake up the best she could.

"After all, not everyone accepts a request from the Devil." Mammon, the Sin of Greed, informed, maintaining her comforting smile.

"From everyone we even thought of offering, you're the only one who has reached this point so far." Beelzebub, Sin of Gluttony, added. "I'm hungry…" she whispered, repeating herself.

"S-So?" Leviathan, the Sin of Envy, asked, wanting to know the answer.

"Do you accept the deal with the seven sins?" Lucifer asked, extending her hand, palm facing down. The other six put their hands on top of hers. "If yes, put your hand on top of ours, and be bounded to us!"

I looked at my right hand. An eternal life? … With my problem solved… It was… a good deal. A good deal, nonetheless! I could stop the act, and be my true self! I laid my hand on theirs and the deal was closed ( though, I must admit, it was rather weird, since it kind of resembled something out of a "Go Team!" Sport, but i decided not to question).

The "dimension" where the 8 of us were suddenly flashed and turned into a different area. The color scheme was the same, but it was certainly different, this time including a floor and gravity. It also presented something resembling a crimson palace.

"This is your new home- umm, I almost forgot to ask, what's your name again?" Lucifer asked the question that sealed it all.

"…I want to forget my past life." They all looked at me, with curiosity. "So I shall have a different name. My name is, from now on, 'Sakuma'."

"That was kind of fast." Lucifer snickered. "Well, Sakuma, I Welcome you to Hell."

2: Chapter 2 – A New Home
Chapter 2 – A New Home

This is the story of my after-life.

More specifically, right after I made the deal involving my life with Lucifer, Satan, Belphegor, Leviathan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub and Mammon. They guided me into their palace. Which was… unexpectedly not surprising. I mean, sure, it was big and somewhat out of the ordinary, but taking into account I was in "Hell", it looked in the boundaries of the regular.

"You're going to live here from now on." Lucifer indicated. It was out of the blue, so much that I didn't even react immediately.

"Eh? … Thanks, I guess…"

"But, Lucifer, we only have 7 bedrooms." Leviathan pointed out, making Lucifer recall that there was no room for me to sleep.

"Maybe I should sleep in the living room, if it's not a bother to you." I suggested, sweating a bit, nervous for speaking with, well the Seven Deadly Sins.

"Who gave you permission to speak!?" Satan yelled and then punched me in the stomach. I was almost knocked out, and was obligated to bend over due to the pain.

"Ouuuuch…" I gasped, almost losing my breath. "What the hell?!"

"Sorry about that punch. You were annoying me."

"I was just making a suggestion about where I could sleep in order to help you out if your demon problem. Plus, I had spoken before that!" I informed, rather annoyed. The pain was actually very strong. I've never felt such physical pain in my entire life.

"Excuse her." Mammon entered the conversation. "She's like that when it comes to new people. It's not really her fault. After all, her Sin is Wrath."

"It's ok." I answered, standing up and composing myself, enduring the pain the best I could with a smile. "After all, I'm immortal, aren't I? I guess a punch or two won't make much difference."

"But as you can see, being immortal or not doesn't affect your pain." Asmodeus spoke, flying towards me, her face closing in on mine, stopping only a couple of centimeters before mine. "But if you get hurt, don't worry, I'll take care of you."

"Asmodeus!" Leviathan swooped in and pulled me away from Asmodeus, and then glared at her, leaving the flying demon confused. "Leave him alone!"

"Eh?" Leaviathan's face was very close to hers and Asmodeus pecked her nose with a kiss, making Leviathan blush. "Jealous Leaviathan is so kawaii!"

"A-Asmodeus!" Leviathan yelled, blushing, not really knowing what to do. I was just there, observing them interacting. I was wondering if this was common day stuff for them.

"Enough yelling." Beelzebub requested, moving towards a large fridge nearby. I looked at her, curious. She opened the door and took out from the fridge a large turkey and ripped off the right leg. She closed the door and put the turkey on the table, starting her meal by the turkey leg. "I'm eating."

"Oi, oi…" I sighed, seeing such a thin little girl eating her meal. I mean, the turkey itself was fatter than her!

"Beelzebub has a point." Lucifer spoke up. "We should quit yelling and be organized."

"Hai, hai! Ba~…!" Belphegor agreed, raising her hand, and then falling asleep in that position. Was that even supposed to be possible?

"Here, Sakuma." Mammon gave me a couple of blankets and bed sheets. "The living room is right over there. I hope you enjoy the couch while we build a new room or something of the sort."

"Wow, thanks, Mammon." I was surprised. After all, the demon that represented Greed was offering me something. I now understood that maybe I shouldn't think of them as the 7 Deadly Sins, but rather like people: each of them unique.

"You're welcome, Sakuma-kun." She spoke.

"Now, strip." Lucifer's words surprised me. Actually, they stunned me.

"W-What?!"

"Don't get any ideas. Strip your hoody and t-shirt, I need your chest to be naked."

"Umm… Why?"

"You'll see. Now, strip already." Well, I knew that Lucifer was being nice. Being the Sin of Pride, I figured it had something to do with the deal. Well, not wanting to get her on a bad mood, I did as she told me and I took off my upper clothes, putting down the blankets and bed sheets Mammon had just given me as well, for later. I was blushing, because, well, of course, it wasn't exactly common for me to be half naked around ladies. It didn't help that Asmodeus and Leviathan kept staring at me. "W-What?"

"Your body is pretty impressive!" Asmodeus jumped, putting her hands on her cheeks.

"I'm jealous." She whispered. "I wish I could be that fit."

"I doubt… you want… muscles, Leviathan-chan… Ba~…" Belphegor spoke, dozing off between words of the sentences. She then took out a little bottle of milk and started drinking it.

"Now, this won't hurt." Lucifer spoke, approaching me. Suddenly, I felt a burning strong pain on the left side of my thorax. I couldn't hold the yell.

"AHHHHHHHHH!" Immortality? I'm starting to feel that maybe it was a bad idea. Well, I started thinking that after Satan punched me in the stomach for the first time. I fell over and held my chest. "What the actual hell?!"

"Calm down, I didn't take anything away. I just gave you something." Only then I noticed that she was holding a burning branding iron, similar to that of livestock branding, but with a very unusual symbol. I looked at the right side of my chest and saw the burning mark, imprinting the strong image of the symbol: it was like an inverted pentagram, with multiple inner symbols, which were all rather "hellish". Nothing gruesome, luckily.

"What… What is this?"

"That mark is a portal to Earth. We can't open the gates again; we don't want to take the risk." Beelzebub explained. Right after that, she took a large bite from the turkey she was almost finishing. 1/6 of the meat left, maximum.

"That mark will let you leap from Hell to Earth and from Earth to Hell." Lucifer added, saving the iron.

The pain eased quickly, even if it still itched, felt hot, and was rather painful. I stood up and started dressing up again. "Why do I have to have the mark in the first place? I mean, I don't want to be rude, but why not one of you?"

"That iron doesn't work on demons." Satan explained, glaring, which made me back off.

"S-Sorry…" I apologized, afraid of her punching me again. That punch was strong enough to move my stomach out of place, I don't want her to punch my mark. At least while it hurt.

"You'll start your demon hunt tomorrow. For now, rest. And be prepared for your new daily life." Lucifer warned me. "If you want to explore your new home, as long as you don't enter my room without knocking first, you can do whatever you want." Lucifer spoke, walking away into the hall. She was followed by Beelzebub, who had finished the turkey, Satan, who carried sleeping Belphegor, and Leviathan. Asmodeus and Mammon stayed behind, next to me.

"You want to check out our rooms?" Asmodeus asked me. Well, since it was my new home, I'd rather start exploring now.

"Sure." I started following them. Of course, Asmodeus hovered gently using her wings. Mammon didn't have wings though, so she had to walk, just like me.

"Sakuma-kun." Mammon called. It took me an extra second to remember that I changed names recently.

"Yes?"

"I can't help but notice that you are taking all this very lightly. It isn't every day that this happens in a normal life." She giggled.

"Well, I see no reason to not take it easily. I mean, what would I expect? Well… To be honest, even though it was an option, I didn't really think I'd end up in Hell." I admitted, making Asmodeus and Mammon look at me curiously. Of course, I had to defend myself. "O-Of course, no offense to you. You and the others seem very nice, comparing to the image of the Devil and Demons up on Earth."

"You ended up in Hell because… Well, Lucifer actually asked up to leave you to find out." Mammon explained, with that happy smile of hers.

"Oh! Here's my room!" Asmodeus said, opening the door. I peeked in and entered it as well, looking around. Again it certainly wasn't what I was expecting. I mean, when you think of Lust, you would think of material related to sex. But her room almost looked like the one of a little girl. I mean, instead of the light pink, the theme color was reddish, with a dark tone. But as for the rest… well, the bed was heart-shaped, with pink bed sheets, and surrounded by a curtain of sorts, a see-through curtain to be exact. Well, actually, it's only see-though from the inside out. If someone looked to the curtains when closed with, people on the bed, they would only see shadows. I realized this when Asmodeus jumped onto her bed and areas of her body were concealed by the curtains. The rest of the bedroom was very standard, but it had multiple plush dolls, and with multiple, I mean at least 100 of them. All different. A dog, a turtle, a cat, a dolphin, and so on. I was very surprised to see something of the sort. I couldn't understand why someone would need so many plush dolls! "Umm, Sakuma, could you go away now? I need… some time for myself." Asmodeus spoke with a mischievous tone, which, at the time, confused me. Mammon took me out of the bedroom, and the last glimpse I had from it was Asmodeus taking out her penguin plush and closed the curtain, giggling. Mammon closed he door. "Thank you, Mammon-oneechan!"

"You're welcome."

"Mammon, may I ask…?"

"I won't share the information." I guess that's her greedy side.

"Maybe, now that I think of, it would actually be better if I didn't know." Suddenly, I heard a loud moan coming from Asmodeus's room. I guess you could say she hid her toys inside her toys.

The next room was Mammon's. I followed her, but before I could approach the door, she turned to me with that somewhat motherly smile and made a gesture that indicated that I couldn't enter. "My room is a secret I can't show you yet, Sakuma-kun."

"Eh? Why?"

"Who knows?" She, in a quick motion, quickly opened the door enough for her to pass, but closed enough for me to not be able to see anything, and enter it, closing the door behind her. I heard a couple of locks closing. I guess her Greed is "information".

I was... left alone on my first day in Hell. Great. Well, soon after, I moved on to Lucifer' room. But thought maybe wasn't a good idea for the time being. The same would go to about Satan's. So I decided to see Beelzebub's room. Though, I did pray so she wouldn't eat me. She is Gluttony, after all.

I knocked. "Beelzebub, it's Sakuma, mind if I come in?"

"*munch, munch, munch* Of course. Come in." I entered the room and couldn't believe what I saw!

"W-WHAT?! This looks like a food paradise!" Her room had all sort of food and drink machines, including fridges. It was rather spacy.

"I'm Gluttony, I'm supposed to have something like this in my room. After all, my only purpose is to eat." She said while biting down on a hamburger.

"Oi, oi, don't say that…" I said in a low tone of voice. The way she said it almost sounded like I was judging her. "Plus, I'm sure that's not the only thing you're for."

"Then would you mind giving me an example?" she asked, bitting down on a meat bun. The Hamburger was rather large, but it disappeared just as quickly.

"Hmm…" That was a hard question indeed, at least out of spite, I mean… "I guess maybe share a meal with someone you like."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, on Earth, when people like each other they go on dates and usually a good starter is a warm meal with each other's company." I tried to not sound cheesy, but I guess that was impossible.

"Hmm….." she thought for a moment and then offered me a slice of pizza. "Here."

"R-Really?" I asked, not believing that she was offering me food. She nodded and I smiled, accepting the slice into my hands. "Thanks a lot." Then a question popped into my head. "Do demons need to eat?"

"Not really. They can if they want. Usually Demons aren't hungry. I'm a…" she looked down and ate the rest of the pizza. "…kind of special case, if you will."

I took a bite out of the pizza, wondering why she was a special case in the first place. Well, maybe it was since she represented a sin, but I'm still new to all this, so, I couldn't say for sure.

"So that means all the food here in this place is all yours?"

"Pretty much." She started biting down on various Sashimi pieces.

"But, since I'm not a demon, I need to eat, right? Just because I'm immortal, doesn't mean I can stop eating all together, right?"

"You could, but you would then become a pile of bones with a dilated stomach and suffering from hunger." She explained, which confirmed my theory. I finished the slice of pizza and came up with a new question.

"Could you share some of your food with me? I don't eat a lot, if that helps."

She looked thoughtful for a second and then nodded. "I should be generous to weaklings."

"Oi, oi, don't call me weakling." I sighed. "Well, I'm off to see Leviathan. This was a nice chat." I opened the door, but then she stopped me for a moment.

"Hey, Sakuma."

"Hm?"

"All the pudding on the fridge is mine, got it?" she asked, with a threatening glare. I chuckled.

"I won't lay a single finger on it." I swore, leaving the room. Well, the last room was Leviathan's. I would go to Belphegor's, but she would probably be sleeping, and that would mean either a conversation with too many pauses, or no conversation at all, from what I could tell. I knocked on her door. "Leviathan?"

"S-Sakuma?"

"May I enter? I would like to talk to you for a little bit."

"O-One moment, please!" she opened the door immediately after. "Please, enter."

"Thank you." I replied, entering the room. It was rather normal. I mean, sure, blood tone here and there once in a while, but nothing much. It had many posters on the wall of top models, and I noticed her big closet full of clothes and a huge stand of make-up. "This is a rather common room compared to the human world and the others I've seen so far."

"W-What do you mean?" Leviathan asked, hiding her face behind a fashion magazine.

"I mean, this room is pretty normal. Asmodeus has at least 100 plush dolls and Beelzebub has a lot of food. Yours only exaggeration is maybe the clothing and makeup." I stated, looking around the room.

"That's kind of a hobby of mine." She replied, putting down the magazine, smiling nervously.

"Leviathan, could you help me out with something?"

"S-Sure. What's the matter?" she asked hesitantly, obviously nervous.

"You and the others represent the Seven Sins, right? Well, you don't really act like I would expect. Except for maybe Belphegor and Beelzebub. Could you tell me a bit about the seven of you?"

"Of course." She answered. She thought for a moment and then started her speech. "Lucifer isn't exactly like the image of the Devil humans usually have. Sure, she concerns only about herself, but is a formidable leader. She is the one who came up with the plan of recurring to a human, in this case, you, for the problem. Satan is always angry, but that's natural to her. Don't worry, she doesn't mean bad. Belphegor is always sleeping, so there's not a lot I can tell about her. I can say she is very nice though. Beelzebub is constantly eating, and she is very direct. Mammon is very nice and lends a lot of stuff, but she is very secretive. Asmodeus, she loves everything, to say the least. After all, Lust, in a way, is the exaggeration of love. As for me-" she suddenly stopped and looked away, glancing at the clothes in her closet. I was confused with this reaction. "I… I'm jealous of everything. I'm Envy, after all… But they say Envy is ugly… And…"

I now understood why she had so many clothes and makeup lying around. "You're jealous of how other's look? How? You're so beautiful!"

She blushed. "Y-You really think so?"

I realized what I said out of spite. I blushed as well and stepped back. "Y-Yeah… I mean, your figure is great, I like your style, you're very cute…"

"But Asmodeus is cuter than me!"

"Oi, oi, don't compare yourself to the Sin of Lust!" I said, knowing she would only be doing worse to her auto-esteem if she kept with it.

"And Lucifer and Satan have a more slender figure than mine! And Beelzebub is so thin! And Mammon is so mature! Belphegor just sleeps and drinks milk and she's so fit!" she said, jumping from her bed to her chair, grabbing on makeup and staring at her mirror. Of course, I pulled her out of there because I knew she would only damage herself from her own sin even further.

"Oi, oi, that will only turn the situation worse!"

"But-!"

"No buts." I said, sitting her down on her bed. "Leviathan, don't doubt that you're beautiful. If you're jealous, trying to make yourself prettier will only make it worse. I know I can't boss you around, but believe me when I say it won't work."

Leviathan stared at me, with a nervous look. She calmed down and stopped struggling. "Okay… Thanks."

"Don't worry about it. Now, it's getting late, and it was a long day. I killed myself, I made a deal with the devil, and some more stuff." I joked, hearing a little giggle from Leviathan while opening the door. But then, a question came into my mind. "Leviathan, why does Lucifer want to get all the demons back from Earth?"

"Uh?" Leviathan sounded like I made a weird question. "If Demons are on Earth, they'll start killing humans, and without Demons in Hell and Humans going more to Heaven than Hell, we'll lose power, and that is actually very bad for us."

"I guess it's just something I won't really understand right now, is it?"

"Indeed."

"Well, thanks anyway. Good night."

"Good night." I closed the door and moved back to the living room, where I would be spending the night in. At the time I didn't know, but Leviathan looked at the mirror after I left and blushed, thinking about what I said about her being beautiful.

Well, I picked up from the floor the blankets and bed sheets that I left behind and moved up to the couch. I lied down and put the blankets and bed sheets over my body, turning off the lights. It was a rather normal room. It had some tones of crimson and black in general, but it seemed rather fine, despite the big size of it. I looked at the ceiling, surrounded by darkness, trying to fall asleep, while pondering about what just happened to me in the last few hours. No one else will ever be in this situation.

"Well… They seem nice. Lucifer is full of herself, Satan punched me in the stomach, Belphegor didn't stop sleeping, Beelzebub keeps eating, Mammon is private, Asmodeus apparently loves everything, and Leviathan is jealous of everything and everyone, including her friends. What a weird group." I spoke, closing my eyes. I thought I was about to fall asleep, when I felt something… move… under the covers… I opened my eyes as wide as the sky and I woke up, startled. "What the-?!"

"Oh! You were awake?" From under the covers, right above me, came out Asmodeus with an innocent smile. "Or did I wake you up?"

"Asmodeus, what are you-?!" I blushed intensely. After all, I was alone, in a room, with the beautiful demon that represented the Sin of Lust, and she was under the same covers as mine.

"Silly!" she called me, making me sit up and back off, as she flew up again. "I want to make love with you."

"W-Wha…" I started steaming out of embarrassment. "S-S-Sorry, but I have to refuse."

"Hm?" she asked, looking at me with a puzzled expression. "I love when a guy is polite to me."

"Oh, you love everything!" I yelled lowly, if that makes any sense, making her giggle.

"Of course, silly." She spoke with her bright smile. "I love you."

"Eh?" I was even more astonished now.

"I love you."

I blushed even more now, if that was even possible. "A-Asmodeus, I…"

"Oh, it's so charming when the guy is undecided between either going through it or refusing!" She spoke, putting her hands on her cheeks. I was starting to get more and more confused, until Asmodeus asked me a question. "Wait, Sakuma, are you a virgin?"

"Eh? Uhhh…" I started blushing, looking away, scratching the back of my head.

"Have you ever dated someone?" she asked, with a curious smile. I had to nod and answer that question truthfully. I said no. "Have you even kissed a girl before?" The answer was the same as the previous question. "Hmm… Well then!" she moved towards me rather quickly. She was leaning very close. "May I have the honor of teaching you everything about love?"

"Eh?!"

She prepared her lips for a kiss, and I was getting more and more nervous. Until someone appeared and pulled her hair, stopping her from trying to kiss me. I looked up and saw Leviathan in the dark.

"Asmodeus, leave him alone!"

"But I love him!"

Leviathan blushed and glared at confused Asmodeus. She turned to me and had a gentle expression. "I love you, Sakuma. I want your first kiss!"

"No! I'm taking it!" Asmodeus kept her smile, and they both started "competing" for me. I had to say that the situation was rather odd. Two girls, demons none the less, fighting for me?

I'm Sakuma. I made a deal with the 7 Deadly Sins. And Asmodeus, Lust, and Leviathan, Envy, are fighting over my first kiss.

3: Chapter 3 – A Normal Day
Chapter 3 – A Normal Day

This is the story of my first day after meeting the 7 Deadly Sins' Demons.

As you all know, Asmodeus and Leviathan were arguing over my first case, because, apparently, both of them were in love with me. But I did manage to make them go away. How, you may ask? Actually, I owe it to Lucifer. Apparently they were making too much noise and she scolded them for not being able to have her beauty sleep. Lucifer then walked away and I got too sleep in peace, with no demons arguing.

Either way, in the next day, I went to the kitchen in order to eat breakfast. I opened the door, finding Beelzebub, who was eating a lot like usual, Satan, drinking a cup of coffee (I guess demons need caffeine as well), and Mammon, who was in deep thought.

"Good morning." I spoke, trying to fit in. I mean, second day isn't exactly the easiest.

"Good morning, Sakuma-kun." Mammon smirked, which made me feel relieved. Until I felt a familiar pain.

"AHHH!" I got punched in the stomach by Satan again. "What was that for…?" I asked, holding my stomach. I managed to stay on my feet, somehow.

"Good morning. I punched you because you annoy me." Satan explained, in her cold voice.

"But I just greeted you." I sighed, standing back up properly. I decided to ignore it, thinking it was something about the Sin of Wrath she represented. I moved towards the fridge, finding it full with food. But most of it seemed half eaten. I did manage to find a chicken leg that seemed good enough. I closed the fridge and started eating it.

"Chicken at breakfast?" Mammon asked, with that motherly-look of hers, with a gentle smile. I scratched my cheek and sweated a bit.

"I wanted to hurry. After all, it's today I start my part of the deal, isn't it?"

"You don't need to rush that fast." Beelzebub said, right after swallowing a hamburger.

I started eating the chicken leg, which was rather good. Even delicious if I may add. But then a question popped into my head. "Where do you get all this food?"

"From Gura." Beelzebub answered, just making me be even more confused.

"Where's Gura?"

"Here in Hell." Mammon answered. "It's the part of Hell rightfully belonging to Beelzebub."

"…Hell isn't exactly like humans picture it, right?"

"Right on the spot." She replied, as Satan finished her coffee. Satan stood up and glared at me.

"Y-Yes…?"

"Weakling." She looked away.

"Oi, oi!" I yelled, trying to knock some sense into her. Until Lucifer came in.

"Good morning." She said, approaching me. "Don't you have something to say to me?"

"Good morning. And thanks for what you did last night." Satan, Mammon and Beelzebub were now quite focused on the conversation between me and Lucifer.

"You got yourself into some trouble."

"If someone had warned me about those two, I would've stayed in my corner." I replied, munching a bit of chicken afterwards. "Talking about them, where are Asmodeus and Leviathan? And where is Belphegor?"

"Belphegor is still sleeping." I thought maybe that was stupid question. "And the other two are taking a day off. I know they'll argue if they're in the same room as you."

I started sweating bullets. What can you do when Lust and Envy both want you?

"Either way, Sakuma, today is your first day on the job." Lucifer informed. "No matter how much I want you to make a big job today, you'll only battle a single demon. Think of it as a tutorial so you don't mess it up already at the beginning." I would be angry, but I was already expecting some sort of comment of the genre coming from her.

"Ok then. How do I fight to begin with? I mean, I'm immortal, but that doesn't mean I'm strong."

"Don't worry, I'll explain that later." Lucifer explained. "Now, imagine yourself at the top of the Tokyo Tower. Right at the peak."

"Why?"

"So you can go to the human world. You need to focus on the image of where you want to appear. Right now, there's a demon on the roofs of Tokyo, so it's a rather easy start." She explained. "Now, do it already. I still want time for myself, idiot."

"Hai, hai." I agreed, ignoring the insult. I closed my eyes and started picturing that image. I focused on it, feeling something weird inside my chest, and then I suddenly felt a very strong breeze. I also felt a very strong difference in temperature. Opening my eyes, I saw the sight of the Human Realm. But where was I? Apparently, I was at the top of the Tokyo Tower! "What!?" I slipped and fell down. After all, I was standing on a single spike. I managed to grab the edge of a platform surrounding the spike and climb onto it.

"Surprised?"

I heard Lucifer's voice in my head, but I didn't know where it came from. "Lucifer? Where are you?"

"Still in Hell. You need to summon me."

"How?"

"Call my name as if you want me to appear in front of you."

"Ok…" I closed my eyes and called her. "Lucifer!" Suddenly, a white orb came out of my chest, more precisely, the area which had the mark of the portal imprinted on. The orb flew next to me and spun, taking the shape of Lucifer and fully becoming her.

"Applause, please." She requested. I didn't know what to think, I was just confused. I decided to simply clap a couple of times, not questioning her choice. "Thank you. Now, as I said before, you will have to fight a demon. Demons don't die, so you have to send it to Hell."

"How?"

"You have to weaken them by battling, and then I'll do the rest. I can send them to hell thanks to the portal in your heart. I'll simply project it on the demon."

"Umm… But me being immortal doesn't make me stronger, does it?"

"No, just makes you resistant. And even then, there are limitations to your immortality."

"Eh?!"

"I'll tell you about it later. Now, prepare for battle."

"H-How?"

"Use me." I looked at her, not understanding what she meant. "I'll be your weapon." She said, glancing sharply at me.

"W-What…?"

She began to glow and began to shape shift. She flew into my head as a little orb of white fire, but then took the shape of a weapon! A spear. A white spear which was as long as me, not counting the blade. The blade was a sharp long triangular blade, held to the main body of the weapons by a white round gem ornament.

"So, I use you as a weapon?" I asked, holding the spear Lucifer had just turned into.

"Exactly." She answered telepathically. "You also have to use the ability of "Power Sharing"."

"What is that?" I wondered, not familiar with the concept.

"I won't go into details because I know your brain takes a while to process it all." This made me annoyed. "Basically, while you're using me, you get certain powers based off the powers I have. I share my power with you, because I know you don't have it by yourself." I sighed, knowing that arguing with her would only waste time. "Thanks to Power Sharing, you can obtain better reflexes, jumping power, and some strength. Now, at least tell me you know how to swing."

I chuckled. "Lucifer, don't worry about whether or not I know how to fight. For now, just tell me what powers I gain from you." I requested making her sigh. For the time, I kept a certain secret about my personality, which i would later reveal.

"I guess it can't be helped by choosing a weakling like you. When you're using me, you can manipulate light in the form of beams. You'll get the hang of it pretty quickly, I guess. To shoot a beam, you focus on an extremity of your body, like your hand, and focus on the image of a thin line. That will most likely be the best way to explain it for rookies."

"I guess I understand." I said, hesitant at first. Could I really shoot light beams? I looked at my hand, as snow began to fall from the sky right above me. "Snow? Oh yeah! It's the beginning of the year."

"This is no time to be stating the obvious." Lucifer scolded me. "You have to go fight the demon!"

"Ok, ok, but where do I-?!" I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my stomach. Something had sliced my body. I fell from the small platform surrounding the rod of the top of the Tokyo Tower and fell down it, near its walls. I think I was near losing consciousness. And was about to, if it wasn't for what I heard next.

"Sakuma!" Lucifer called my name and I made a quick somersault so my fight would be pointing towards the ground. I used Lucifer in the form of Lance in order to stop the fall, stabbing it against the wall, slowing down my fall, eventually stopping me. I was halfway down to the sight level of the Tower. "Oh. Nice thinking, I must admit."

"Won't I using you as a weapon hurt you or anything of the sort?" I asked, worried, putting my feet on the wall, making sure I wouldn't fall so easily.

"I don't feel pain in this form, don't worry. Now, focus on your enemy, weakling."

"Oi, oi." I spoke, narrowing my eyes towards the tip of the spear. "No de-motivating the fighter, ok? Anyway, where did the attack come from?"

I looked around the area, but couldn't see anyone. "Sakuma, you're about to be attacked." Lucifer warned. I heard the wind rushing behind me, and that was my warning that the attack would come from behind. I quickly ran with the help of the wall, still grabbing the spear, which was stuck on the tower, making me flip frontwards. I felt the air current beneath my body, telling me that I managed to dodge the attack. I completed the flip and landed on Lucifer Spear, with a stable balance thanks to holding the wall next to me.

"Who's there?" I asked, demanding the reveal of my enemy. Suddenly, a figure appeared on the top of a building nearby. It looked like a man with incredibly spiky hair, sunglasses, and military-like dark clothing. He also held a pair of curved blades, almost equal to scythes. "Lucifer, is that…"

"Yes. That's a demon." Lucifer answered, confirming my thought.

"Hahahahaha! Are you a demon as well? Because I doubt you're a human to be able to survive my attack." He spoke, adjusting his glasses.

"What's your name?" I asked, curious.

"I forgot about that useless thing. When you live in Hell for so long, you start forgetting all kind of stuff! My name is not important!" he answered. "All I want is to be free to do whatever the hell I want to. Starting with raising havoc."

"Demons are, in the end, corrupted souls. It is probably the darkness of his corruption talking."

"There's still a lot I have to learn about Hell. But right now, I have to defeat this bastard." I spoke, glaring at the Demon.

"Defeat me? You must be dreaming to think you can do something like that! Ejji-fÅ«! (Wind Edge)" he suddenly disappeared and I felt a strong slash across my body again, which pushed me along with the attacking opponent. I crashed against the roof of the nerbie building, with two huge gashes on my abdomen, and the opponent on me, making me unable to move at all. He held his blade close to my throat. "What? All talking and no doing?"

"Lucifer!" I called for help. The spear stuck on the tower turned into a white fireball and it quickly moved towards me. The spear formed in my hands again, and I used the main body of it to push the Demon off of me. I quickly jumped up, but the pain on my torso acted up. "Gah…"

"Don't worry. Your body heals pretty quickly compared to that of a human." She was right. Before I knew it, the gashes on my stomach healed completely.

"I still feel the pain, though not as much…" I said to myself, feeling the pain disappearing. After all, it wasn't nearly as painful as the punch Satan had given me the day before. "I guess Satan did help me with that punch."

"No, she just wanted to punch you." Much to my disappointment.

"Hey! Don't ignore the demon that is trying to kill you! Ejji-fÅ«! (Wind Edge)" He disappeared again, but hearing those words made me pose Lucifer so the attack would be stopped. Which it did. Well, after my feet were dragged alongside the roof of the building until I was at the edge of it.

"Piss off!" I spoke, pushing him away with the spear, making him step back. I held Lucifer on my left hand alone, and pressed my right hand against his stomach.

"What are you…?!"

"Logic of Video-Games, don't fail me now! Raito BÄ«mu!" (Light Beam) Doing as Lucifer had taught me, with a lot of luck, I managed to fire a thin beam from the middle of my palm, pushing him away. He fell to the floor screaming in pain, rolling around, holding his stomach. "What the…"

"Light is poisonous to all demons with the exception of myself. After all, originally, I was an angel." Lucifer informed. But that raised even more questions.

"But what about the sunlight? I know it's snowing, but…"

"They can't bear it. That's why they only appear on days that sunlight won't touch them directly. Like storms or snowy days."

"Damn it…" The demon stood up again. "Arashi Kattā!" (Storm Cutter) He swung his blades around in a circular fashion, releasing multiple air cutting waves towards me.

I narrowed my eyes and spun the spear, striking the waves with the blade, destroying them. I could see that the demon was surprised. And Lucifer as well.

"Wow. I wasn't expecting that from you." She admitted, making me chuckle.

"Thanks." I replied.

"Wh… What the hell are you?!" the demon asked, showing fear towards me. I smirked.

"I am…" I ran towards him. He tried to slash me, but I blocked the blades with the spear. Then, when his arms were both pulled back in order to strike me with a harder blow. I stuck the base of the spear against the ground and jumped up, holding the spear, lifting myself up. The blades clashed against the spear, and I landed on his shoulders. I withdrew the spear from the ground, now holding it with both hands, the blade pointing down right above his head. "Sakuma."

"Eh?" I stabbed down his skull with the spear, but he didn't have the reaction I was expecting. "Gah! T-That doesn't hurt a lot. It itches though."

"Pride is a Sin." I spoke. "Supiningu Sukaru!" (Spinning Skull) I jumped and hurled him up towards the air, making him spin towards the clouds. I landed on my feet and held the spear with my left hand and pointed it up towards the demon, who was somersaulting against his will. "Gō Tu Hebun!" (Go To Heaven) I fired another light beam, but this time a thick one through the spear, which I assumed would increase the power of it. And I was right. The Demon fell back not so long after the attack, rolling in pain, and didn't seem to stop.

"I'll project the portal and he'll go to Hell." Lucifer informed, as I felt something inside my chest, like when I got here to Earth. I looked at the demon and spoke to him one last time.

"Go to hell." I saw the portal form beneath him and he fell into what I could only assume to be hell. The portal closed and the spear transformed back into Lucifer. I looked at her with a smile, but flinched when I saw her look. She was glaring at me, almost like I said something very, very stupid. "W-What's the matter?"

"Seriously? I mean, seriously?! Go to hell?!"

"W-What? Why are you mad at me?"

"That was such a stupid line! and why were you naming your attacks?! And don't get me started on that thing about "Video-Game Logic"." Lucifer said, much to my disappointment. I mean, those were awesome names for attacks, and an amazing line! "Well, that's what I get for an idiot to do the job."

At first I was confused, but then smiled. Why, you all might ask? Because I was promoted from weakling to idiot.

"C'mon. Let's go back. You won't do any more work today, since it's your first. But tomorrow I expect at least 3 demons, you hear?!"

"Hai, hai." I answered with a wide grin. She was confused, not understanding my smile, but she decided to ignore it. And then, we returned to Hell, in other words, my home.

My name is Sakuma. I made a Deal with the 7 Deadly Sins. This was my first day on my new life, and the day I no longer was a "weakling".

A/N: Sakuma's first attack, Light Beam, is actually a pun. He uses his right hand for the attack. "Right" and "Light" are pronounced the same way in Japanese (Katakana).

4: Chapter 4 – A Quick Stroll
Chapter 4 – A Quick Stroll

A whole month had passed since I made the deal with Lucifer, Satan, Belphegor, Leviathan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub and Mammon.

At this point, I was running on top of multiple roofs, holding Leviathan in her weapon form, a deep blue sharp trident in my right hand. I jumped from one roof from another, fleeing from my enemy.

Wait, I forgot to tell you all where I was. I was in Venice, Italy.

“Sakuma! Look out!” Leviathan warned, as I looked behind and saw the flying scarecrow-like figure approaching me with sharp claws. Yup, a demon. I thought they all looked human at first, but after meeting a wolf and a fox twin demons, I knew I was wrong. But that was another story. Right now, I was facing a flying scarecrow in Venice. And he approached me, trying to slam his claws against my back, but I managed to dodge by jumping into a river, which are the norm in Venice. Well, it was the middle of the day, but it was a week day, meaning that the streets were deserted: the kids were in school, the adults at school, and the housewives at home, ignoring the noise.

I dived into the river and, thanks to Leviathan letting me breath underwater, talked to Leviathan.

“What’s up with that thing?! It isn’t even talking!”

“It’s because of the level of corruption of the soul.”

“What does that mean?”

“The more corrupted a soul is, the wilder is the demon. Some even forget how to talk.”

“I see…” It was a new concept for me. But, nevertheless, I had to defeat it. “Well, better send it back then. Here goes nothing!” I started spinning inside the river, pointing forward Leviathan. Thanks to her, my swimming skills were enhanced to the point of controlling whether or not I would go to the surface, and my movements. “Shinkai Tatsumaki!” (Deep Sea Tornado) The water of the river began to circle around me in a tornado fashion, propelling me up towards the scarecrow, and pushing him up into the sky, slashing him a couple of times due to the rotation. Then, I managed to get a hold of him in the middle of the cloudy sky, making sure he would escape by grabbing hold of his neck and with my feet pressed against his body.

“Graaahhh!!” the demon growled, somewhat confused, from what I could see.

“Satan! Come forth!” Leviathan in Trident formed began to glow blue and flew into my heart, which would send her to Hell, and a red orb came out, flying into my hand and turning into a bright red axe with a yellow-bone colored large blade. “Gō Tu Heru!” (Go to Hell) I jumped, still grabbing his neck, and chopped its head with Satan in Axe form, sending it down towards one of the roofs. “Go to hell!” The portal opened at the roof and swallowed the demon, sending it back to hell. I landed on the roof and Satan assumed her normal form.

And then she punched me in the stomach.

“OUUUUUCH!” I yelled. I certainly wasn’t expecting it. At last right after the battle. “What was that for?!”

“How dare you tell me to “Come forth”?!” she asked, with a super scary glare.

“S-Sorry, Satan-san.” I apologized, fearing another punch of hers to my guts. I opened the portal and returned home with Satan, where the remaining six demons awaited us.

“You were amazing, Sakuma-kun!” Asmodeus cheered happily.

“My, my, you’ve caught the hang of the job rather quickly, Sakuma-kun.” Mammon added, making me blush. Two of the 7 Sins were praising me, what else could I do?

“Thanks.” As soon as I heard Satan growl, I hid behind Leviathan in fear. “Please don’t punch me!”

“Sakuma… is hiding behind me…” a blushing Leviathan whispered, which made me sweat.

“Oi, oi…” I spoke, feeling that Leviathan was getting emotional over rather small moments. “By the way, Lucifer, I have something to ask you.”

“Hm?”

“What’s this about Demons not talking if they are “too corrupt”? I mean, even the wolf and fox twins spoke.”

“The more a demon is corrupt, the more it forgets about its previous life. Of course, learning how to speak and write are something you learn in your life, so, it’s only natural that the demon would forget how to do those things if it lost its memories.” Lucifer explained. It actually made sense to me.

“That seems about right. By the way, Lucifer, how’s the weather in Kyoto?”

“It’s bright and sunny, why do you ask?”

“There is something I need to take care of in the human world, and maybe a sunny place would be the best way to keep the demons away. After all, they can’t stand sunlight for long.”

“You’re going to Earth? Can I go with you?” Leviathan asked, making puppy eyes at me.

“But I thought light was poisonous to all demons, with the exception of Lucifer.”

“The Queens… of Inferno… are immune… to sunlight…” Belphegor spoke, in her typical fashion.

“Really?” I was surprised.

“Hmph! Idiot…” Satan whispered, angry at me. As usual. I sighed and decided to ignore her instead.

“Either way… Wait, how many of you can I bring along?”

“Only one. You can only summon one of us at a time, remember?” Beelzebub answered bluntly, as she bit down on a pizza slice.

And that was when my brain thinking carefully. I didn’t want to go alone, but I needed to be careful with who I was taking with me. Satan was out of question, due to her hatred for me. Belphegor was acceptable, but not the best option. After all, she was constantly falling asleep. Lucifer was someone that I feared that I would make too much of a scene. Asmodeus was better to leave behind as well, so her love for me wouldn’t be fed, and I knew she was going to attract a lot of attention. Leviathan would be jealous if I didn’t choose her, but if I did, I would be risking far too much. Mammon looked more like a mother, so it would be rather awkward. The one that didn’t seem to have problems was…

“Beelzebub, would you like to come along?”

“Eh?” she flinched, surprised. In fact, everyone looked surprised, in one way or another.

“Why her?!” Leviathan asked, blushing in fury.

“Believe me, it’s a long story.” I didn’t want to touch the matter. I pictured a street of Kyoto and was teleported there, due to the portal. I summoned Beelzebub soon after that, leaving behind the other six. Now, I wasn’t there at the time, but according to Mammon and what happened that night, this is what happened next in Hell.

“I wonder why he didn’t pick me.” Lucifer admitted, making the other look at her. “I would be the best option. After all, I’m the best at everything! Hohohohohoho!”

“Eto…” They turned to Asmodeus. “That doesn’t make a lot of sense?”

“What do you mean by that?”

“Well, you say you’re the best at everything. But I’m the Demon of the Sin of Lust. Shouldn’t that make me better that you at the Lustful act of love?”

Lucifer had a menacing grin of threat, which Asmodeus was oblivious to. “What do you mean by that, Asmodeus…?!”

“It’s only logical that I’m better than you at that. Don’t you think?” Asmodeus asked with an innocent smile, which infuriated Lucifer deeply. Leviathan, Mammon, and even Satan feared of what could happen, and were surprised to see Asmodeus so oblivious. Belphegor was… rather relaxed.

“Asmodeus, I challenge you!”

“Ooh! I love challenges! What is it?” Asmodeus appeared happy and excited.

“Let’s see which one of us is better at the ultimate act of love!”

“Alright!” she looked pretty happy for what was actually happening. She didn’t seem to share the same point of view as Lucifer. “In my room?”

“Yes!” the two of them left, leaving behind 3 dumbfounded demons behind. Belphegor only drank milk.

“Are they really going to see who does it better?” Leviathan asked, not able to take those two seriously.

“Umm… We’ll actually find soon.” Mammon answered, sweating.

“What do you mean?” Satan asked, crossing her arms.

“Well… not long after Sakuma moved in… I installed cameras in all of our rooms.”

“WHAT?!”

In the human world, I summoned Beelzebub. We were in Kyoto, and it was about 5 PM. But I knew she would attract people’s attention with her clothing, tail and wings. Good thing we were in a dark alley, which was hard to be seen by the crowd of Kyoto.

“I think you might need some clothes to blend in more easily.”

“Where do you get clothes around here?” Beelzebub asked.

“Well, pretty much in any store that sells clothes. But the problem is the money… I’m dead, so I guess my bank account with my college money isn’t open anymore.” I entered deep thought, trying to think of a way to get money.

“Where do people get money in the Human World?”

“They have to work for it. Then, they either keep it at home or deposit it in a bank and withdraw it at any time by using an ATM machine and accessing their bank account, so there won’t be any mistakes about who’s the owner of the money.”

“Hmm…” she started thinking. “Show me one of these ATM machines you’re talking about.”

I looked around, hoping to find something so we wouldn’t be seen by the crowd yet. But then I noticed something at the end of the alley we were in. It was an old ATM machine, of a model that was used about 10 years ago. The two of us approached it. “This ATM machine is quite old. But it pretty much says what it is in depth.”

“What is one of these doing here? Do humans come to dark alleys to withdraw their money?”

“No, no.” A sweat drop appeared on my forehead, somewhat dumbfounded. “This must be a forgotten one. It’s an older model, so I guess that when they created the new ones they dismantled every each one of these, but this one must have been forgotten. After all, it’s in a small dark alley between two buildings that weren’t originally here. Not to mention that if it doesn’t have electricity, it won’t send any sort of signal.” I checked if it still had power, but I had no luck.

“Is there money in the box?”

“Well, yeah… The government puts money in the ATM machines that belongs to the country and then subtracts from the users bank account. If this machine wasn’t dismantled, my only guess is that there’s still a chance that this has money.”

“Since no one really knows of this machine, we can take the money, right?”

“I-I guess…” I was afraid of what she was about to do.

“Then, allow me…” she approached the machine and got a hold of its sides. I was confused about what she was going to do. But then, I saw it: Beelzebub opened her small jaw, and started biting down on the ATM machine. It was amazing, weird, and scary to see it. She was literally devouring metal. After a short while, she stopped. “Can I eat these papers?”

“What? No! That’s money!” I warned. She stood back, cleaning her lips with her handkerchief. I approached the machine and was amazed with the large quantity of green bills. I didn’t even know how to carry it all. “We need a bag…”

“Here.” She handed me a simple bag of cloth, resembling those used by burglars.

“Where did you- never mind…” I put the money inside the bag and made a knot, in order to close the bag. Carrying a bag like this was pretty much the same as carrying the money in my own hands: it would be rather obvious. “We have to hide this. But where?”

I suddenly heard chomping behind me. I turned and saw Beelzebub, who had just finished making a small hole, which would go underneath one of the surrounding buildings, and it was large enough to hide the whole thing, but small enough to be unnoticed. I was wondering how she had dug that, but I decided that it would be best not to know. I took enough money to be a “thousandaire” and put it in my pockets, and hid the bag, which still had a lot of money inside.

We sneaked out into the crowd, and got into the first clothing shop we could see. For our luck, the building next to the ATM we just ripped off was a large mall, full of shops.

There far too many people for us to be noticed. I grabbed her wrist and took her to a clothing shop. The employees were confused to see Beelzebub, who was wearing in such way, with a tail and fly-like wings, not to mention the horns. I explained she was a cosplayer that needed new clothes. It was better than nothing.

We searched around the store, and Beelzebub selected a few clothes and then changed. She apparently sent her clothes to hell. She could hide her horns and wings, thank god.

She was now wearing a small dark dress, resembling a Lolita, and long striped stockings. She had a loli-like body, which made her… rather cute…

“Why are you blushing?”

“Eh? What are you talking about?”

“You’re blushing, Sakuma.”

I looked for a reflective surface and looked at it, noticing that what she was saying was… right.

“Sorry about that. Well, let’s go. I have to buy something. Do you want anything?”

“Food.”

“But you just… Okay…” I sighed. I mean, she had just eaten an ATM machine. “Can you wait for the food? My business won’t take long.”

“Okay. But hurry up, ok?”

“Hai, hai…”

The two of us explored the little mall, until we found my main objectives: a cellphone store, an electronics shop, and an art shop.

Beelzebub seemed rather confused as to why I would go to these places. I bought many things and saved them all in a box I bought in the art shop as well. Then, we went to the area with all the restaurants of the mall.

“So, what would you like to eat? Chinese Food?”

“Chinese Food? What’s that?”

I was surprised. How come the Sin of Gluttony had never tried Chinese Food?

I took her to the Chinese Restaurant. She seemed like a little girl who had gone into a restaurant with her family for the first time. She looked around, as I read the menu. I figured she would eat pretty much anything, so I thought I would just ask anything that I liked.

“Good afternoon, what’s your order?” the waiter asked with a gentle grin, ready to take down notes.

“Good afternoon. We would like to order a plate of Almond Chicken, a plate of Beef with Oyster Sauce, Fried Shrimp Curry, Chicken with Pineapple, and Pork Chop-Soy. Oh, and two plates of Xau-Xau Rice, please.”

“My, my,” the waiter looked curious. He looked to not be that old, maybe in his twenties. “certainly a lot of food for only two people. And this early?”

I chuckled. “I know, rather weird. It’s an early dinner.” I explained. The waiter didn’t object and walked away, in order to take our orders.

Beelzebub turned to me. “You seem to be ok with all this.”

“Of course. After all, I’m human. I know how to get around Earth, more or less.”

“No, I mean,” her sapphire-colored eyes stared at mine. “For someone who didn’t fit in, you seem fine with all this.”

“Oh…” I could see how she would be confused. “Well, I don’t have a problem with every single thing in society. Sure, I had problems, but it was mostly with… people.” I looked down, feeling bad for my words.

“People?” Beelzebub wondered.

“Never mind that for now.” I requested with a grin. I took out the box I had been carrying around and opened it, taking out 8 cellphones. I had bought them in the cellphone shop we had gotten earlier. They were all exactly the same model. I opened them and started messing around with the circuits, thanks to some tools I had bought in the electronic shop. Beelzebub looked confused for the millionth time that hour.

“What are you…”

I interrupted her. “They’re cellphones. I bought one for each one of us. I thought they could come handy in one way or another. They are pretty good cellphones, water resistant and everything. This will make me able to contact you and the others whenever I come to the human world without the need of summoning you, mainly when I have to speak to one of you who are in Hell and I’m in the middle of a battle.”

“And why are you destroying its insides?”

I laughed shortly. “I’m not destroying. I know a few tricks when it comes to hacking and actions of the sort. I’m hacking these so calls and messages will be free.”

“You need to pay to use these even after buying them?” Beelzebub seemed like she just heard the stupidest thing ever. I couldn’t help but to smirk.

“Pretty much, yes.”

“You humans spin too much around money. In my time, money was only used for food and water, and even objects. But we never paid for communication.” This was when I understood that Beelzebub, who I guessed had once been human, and I, were very different in terms of life.

Just when I finished the hacking that I had learned in my previous life, the food came in all at once.

“Here you go!” he put the plates on the table, and the smell of it made water come to my mouth. I looked at Beelzebub, and I knew she was in the same state. She blushed when she noticed me looking, which was… new to me. “And a special promotion for couples only today: a banana split for two!”

This wasn’t very Chinese in my opinion. But the problem wasn’t that. Me and Beelzebub? A couple? Before I could object, the waiter moved to another table. I was blushing. I could feel the heat in my cheeks. I looked at Beelzebub, and noticed she was in the same state of… embarrassment.

“I-Itadakimasu!” I broke the silence and took some of the various food into my plate. It was a big plate, so I put enough for myself. “Eat the rest. I have enough to fill me up.”

I wanted to get rid of the blush, and so started eating. Beelzebub did the same, but her speed at eating was far to inhuman.

“O-Oi! Calm down!” I warned, making her stop. “Eat slowly. Not only are you attracting attention, but that’s not healthy. Plus, take a while to feel the taste.” I advised, making her blush even more. That wasn’t my intention. But she slowed down in her eating.

We ate at a similar rhythm. We finished at the same time, but then I noticed it.

“You’re not eating the ice cream?”

“I-I am, it’s just…” she whispered the rest, to the point of being inaudible.

“What?”

“I just… wanted…”

“Hm?”

“I wanted to share it with you.”

I was stunned by the request. I mean, her crimson blush was so cute, her nervous look, tears ready to fall if rejected, and nothing but good intentions, was enough to leave me in shock. In a good way, of course.

“Really?”

“O-Of course.” I hesitated a bit in my answer. She looked at me with a cute blush, and a smile. I gulped. I wanted to smile, but I was too nervous to do so. The ice cream wasn’t melted yet, and there were two spoons. The two of us began to eat it, slowly. I must admit, that, for the quantity and speed Beelzebub ate, she was being rather slow and generous. I guess she doesn’t mind sharing after all. It disappeared quickly. It was very good, to say the least. Who says a Chinese Restaurant can’t have good ice creams?

“How was it?” she asked me, as I put the cellphones back on the table.

“It was delicious.” I answered, as I started messing around with the cellphones, with the art supplies I bought before, I mean. She stared at my art work, and in about 20 minutes, after paying the bill, I was finished.

“Those phones…”

“Are personalized.” I answered, showing the 8 flip-open phones. “This is mine.” I handed her the black phone, which had the letters “R.I.P.” on the front, and multiple kanji characters around it. It also had a gravestone on the back.

“Is it because you’re dead?” she asked bluntly.

“Pretty much, yeah. I mean, it is a fact that I’m not technically alive anymore.” I handed the other phones to her.

The first one was white, and had a drawing of wings, and with effects of white light.

The second was dark red, with the drawing of an angry skull, and with the drawing of flames.

The third was grey and had multiple “Z”s written on it, and with the drawing of a milk bottle.

The forth was green and had the image of a pair of sharp scissors opened and with a smiley face drawing.

The fifth was pink, and had multiple heart shapes all around it.

The sixth was orange, and had the drawings of wrapped candies of multiple colors and shapes.

The seventh was brownish yellow and had the image of a large gold coin and multiple “0”s and “1”s.

“Those are for us?”

“Yup. This one is yours.” I gave the orange one to Beelzebub, and saved the others in my pockets. She looked at it in awe.

“Thanks.”

Suddenly, the lights of the entire mall went out! Beelzebub and I stood up.

“Beelzebub, is it a-?”

“Yes.”

“But how did it enter here? Isn’t light-?”

“Artificial light doesn’t work the same way! Only strong ones work. Let’s go!”

The two of us left the restaurant and found ourselves in a noisy, dark mall, where everyone yelled in despair.

“Beelzebub.” I called. She nodded and transformed into her weapon form: a chain with a fang-shaped hook. “Alright. Beelzebub, guide me! I can’t see anything, and there’s too much noise.”

“Ok.” She agreed. The hook started pointing around, guiding me. The chain was wrapped around my arm, so I could feel the vibrations, telling me to where it was pointing. I followed it, trying to make my best to dodge the crowd. The mall didn’t have many windows, so the only source of light was the exit, where everybody was going to, except for myself, who was following the directions given to me by Beelzebub.

After a short run, I found the demon. It had a human appearance on the upper body, a beautiful woman with empty black eyes, while the lower body was that of a giant spider. Probably a black widow.

“What’s this? A human that didn’t run away?”

“Umm, I’m not exactly human. And it’s my mission to send you back to hell!” I spoke, as I swung my arm upwards, pointing it at her, making the chain launch itself at the demon. The demon dodged it easily though, in a simple neck movement. She grinned.

“You’re not exactly human? Oh! You’re that famous immortal boy I’ve heard about?”

“Wait, I’m famous?”

“Well, more like, infamous.” She corrected. “The dog of sins, they call you.”

“Dog?” That insult somehow seemed fitting, but I knew a better adjective. Beelzebub’s Chain bounced off the walls in a zig-zag fashion, eventually stabbing the demon by the human abdomen.

“Ahhhggg! You dog!” she yelled, with fury reflecting on the dark eyes.

“I’m not a dog.” I spoke, making her look at me in confusion. “I’m not the dog of the Seven Deadly Sins. I’m…” I jumped high into the air and grinned. I guess it was pretty scary, because the demon flinched. “THEIR PARTNER! MAMMON!” Beelzebub transformed into a little orange flame and entered my heart, going back to Hell. Mammon then came out in the form of a little yellow flame, and went towards my right hand. She transformed into her weapon form, a rather small brown hammer, similar to Mjölnir.

“I’m ready, Sakuma-kun!” Mammon informed, making me smirk.

“Alright! Hasai GurÄ«do! (Crushing Greed)” I grabbed the hilt of the hammer with both my hands and began to flip frontwards at a high speed multiple times. The demon didn’t move, due to her fear and pain. I slammed the hammer against her head, smashing her skull down against the floor. I stood up properly and turned away from her, walking away. “Go to hell.”

The portal opened beneath her and she fell in, returning to where she belonged. I sighed, knowing I had to go back as well. I fixed the lights with the flip of a single switch and I opened the portal in order to return.

Upon returning, I found Beelzebub back in her ordinary clothes. I smiled at her. After all, it was a pretty good date. She looked away and went to the fridge.

But then, I noticed something. “Where are Lucifer and Asmodeus?”

“They’re… busy….” Belphegor answered, in her usual fashion.

“Really? Well… These are for you.” I handed the phones to the respective demon I decorated them. Beelzebub already had hers, so I gave the remaining ones to Satan, Belphegor, Mammon and Leviathan.

“What is this? ~I don’t know what it is for. I mean, it’s cool and all, but- I HATE YOU!” Satan made a double take and went back to her room. I sweatdropped at such a scene.

“Was… that…” I was more confused than ever. Belphegor pulled my sleeve and explained to me.

“It was… genuine…” she informed, which confused me even more, but I decided to ignore it. After all, what else could I do? I saved Lucifer’s and Asmodeus’s phone.

And I explained to the demons about communication and the usage of cellphones. They seemed to be interested, and thanked me for the presents. Belphegor offered to explain Satan about them in my place, which I was very thankful. I didn’t want any punch to the stomach or anything.

Night soon came, and everyone else went to bed. Except me. Well, I had a couch. But I watched TV instead of sleeping. It was a hobby of mine, watching TV in order to fall asleep. That day, I’m thankful I decided to watch a soap opera.

It was a rather *sniff* dramatic and tragic episode. I got carried away and at the climax, I threw myself to the screen.

“Don’t do it! Miki!” It was the name of the character. But my sudden jump made the remote fall onto the ground, which apparently changed the channel to the Source Channel, which was wired to, what I later was told, cameras. More precisely, it was Belphegor’s room. I saw her asleep. Not a big surprise. I changed the channel and saw Beelzebub’s room. She was eating, as usual. But then, I came across a certain channel…

“A-Asmodeus… Right there!”

It appears that I found out right then what Lucifer and Asmodeus were up to. I blushed from such a sight. I won’t really describe the image. I jumped back out of surprise. I analyzed the image carefully.

“Lucifer… you really do know how to do it! Ahhh….!”

“Y-you’re… not bad… either! Gyahh!”

I grabbed the remote as quickly as possible and muted the volume. I checked the doors and locked them. I put the volume on the minimum, sat down on the couch, put my hands behind my head, and sighed in cheer.

“I could get used to this.” I admitted.

I’m Sakuma. I made a deal with the Seven Deadly Sins. And right now, Pride and Lust are in the middle of a competition, and I’m their jury.

I’m not perfect, ok?!

5: Chapter 5 – Hell’s not the same as what we think it is
Chapter 5 – Hell’s not the same as what we think it is

It has been about 2 months and a half ever since I made the deal. I was in the middle of another job. This time, it was in the middle of the Sahara Desert, right underneath Marrocco. Some of the dwellers were wondering how the hell I was surviving. Well, immortality. But still, I was surprised I didn't collapse out of thirst or because of the heat. And I was very lucky that I didn't get any burns. Must have been because of my clothes and the hood of my hoodie.

Either way, as I was saying, I was in the middle of my job. I was searching for the demon. I've always dreamt of walking around the desert, but with enough water for the job. But Lucifer said that I was a weakling and Satan punches my stomach, so, I couldn't bring anything.

"Oi, Asmodeus."

I called, making the demoness appear next to me, hands on her cheeks. "Yes, Sakuma-kun?"

“Light poisons demons, right? So, how come there’s one here? I mean, how is it causing destruction?”

“Well, first, the demon can wait until night comes, right?” This made me sweatdrop. “Plus, think a little bit harder.”

“Eh?” I was surprised to hear that from Asmodeus, to be honest. Well, not in a bad. I mean, that statement from all people I know, coming from Asmodeus is surprising.

“If the demon is around here, where do you think it is too begin with?”

“Wait, you don’t mean…” I looked towards the sand beneath me. Of course! The sand was protecting the demon from the sun!

“Yup.”

“Wait, so, the demon is going to wait until night to come up?”

“I guess so. But you can always call it.”

“Uh? How?” I wondered.

“Well, as you know, you get abilities depending on which weapon you’re using, right?” I nodded in response. “Well, with Lucifer you can control light, but with me, you can control feelings.”

“Feelings? How does that work?”

“You can send brainwaves from your brain to the demon, and provoke a reaction depending on what you want to happen. You want it to be angry, think of anger, and the demon will feel anger as well.”

“So, if I want to bring it out… I have to make the Demon fall in love with me?”

“Yes, but the feelings only last for a couple of seconds, and require some concentration.” Asmodeus warned.

“Then let’s test it!” I said excitedly, which made her smirk.

“I love to see you like that!” she glowed pink and turned into her weapon from: a double-edged blade similar to those of medieval ages, rather thick, with a jewel encrusted hilt, and symmetrical.

“You’re quite cute as a sword, I must admit.” I spoke in a cocky tone.

“You really think so?” Asmodeus asked telepathically, in her usual tone.

“Ok, so, I just think of love and the demon will come up?”

“That’s the idea.”

I focused on the feeling of love and attraction. Soon after, I felt the soil tremble. A shadow covered me from behind. This made me turn around, finding that that day’s demons was a giant desert sand worm. I sweated bullets when I saw the smoke coming out of its flesh. It was simply humongous!

It roared and dived towards me.

“Let’s do it!” I spoke, as I posed in the right position, spinning the sword in my hand. “Itami o Ageru! (Raising Pain)” I jumped up high thanks to Asmodeu’s power sharing abilities and struck the sword against the giant worm, making a strong hit. Which was weird… I thought that it would cut it. I looked down and saw the Demon with an opened mouth. I panicked, somehow trying to fly away, which was impossible. “Oh no.” I spoke, as gravity began to do its job and pushed me down towards the ground. Or at least it would, if there wasn’t a giant sand worm demon in the way.

“RAAAAAAAAAAAO!” the demon roared, firing multiple concrete blocks at me.

“Shimata!” I struck the concrete blocks with Asmodeus in her sword for, breaking them, up until I was struck on the head. I fell unconscious and, well, fell into the demon.

I woke up, in a weird place. My vision was somewhat blurry, I couldn't tell right way, but I guessed I was inside the demon.

"Is this... The stomach?"

"Eto... Sakuma-kun." Asmodeus called... The sword impaled on my chest, that is. "Sorry... I stabbed you." She said, in her usually cheery tone.

"Don't worry." I spoke, sitting up. "After some big cuts and stabs, I think I'm getting used to pain. After a while, it just feels sore and itchy." I explained, chuckling, scratching the back of my head. And that was when I noticed that my fingers felt odd... I couldn't feel them, but I felt something touch my head. "Hm?" I looked at my hands, and after processing the image, I panicked. "AHHH! MY HANDS!" The flesh had melted away and my hands were nothing but bones with bits of flesh. "WHAT HAPPENED TO MY HANDS?!"

Asmodeus made a sound that it made it seem like she began to think hard. "Haummmmmmmmmm!"

"It's not the time for jokes!" I yelled at her, but with no bad intentions.

"Don't worry, yours hands will soon regenerate back. I think they were melted in the gastric acid." Asmodeus suggested. And she was right. I took a closer look at the area and it did seem like the inside of a stomach. A very large stomach.

"How long will it take for my hands to return to normal?"

"About ten minutes or so."

"How long was I unconscious?"

"Not very long. About five minutes. You regenerated the head wound that caused you to faint, so it took less time." She explained. I had ten minutes to come up with a plan. I had to get out of there as fast as I could, or at least before the demon started it's digestive process.

"Well, I guess it's better than nothing." I had a plan in mind. My hands soon returned to normal, and Asmodeus had been extracted from my chest. "Belphegor!" Asmodeus became a little pink flame and flew into my chest. Then, a gray flame came out, and flew into my hands, transforming into a large grayish bazooka.

"You... Called... Me...? Ba~~" Belphegor asked, sleepy as usual.

"Did I interrupt your sleep?" I asked, concerned.

"Yes. But I'm... always sleeping..." She answered, almost falling asleep again. I chuckled at the event, but then focused on the plan again.

"Let's just hope this thing is flammable." I pressed the trigger and a missile was fired out of the weapon. “Ichi – Madoromu! (One – Doze Off)” I fired it towards the end of the Demon. In the distance, I heard the explosion and saw a small flare. The demon began to tremble. That was my signal. "It's working! Now..." I turned towards what I could assume to be the direction towards the mouth of it. "Flames, please."

"Hai! Ba~~" Belphegor confirmed. I pressed the trigger and the bazooka released a stream of red flames, which I spread around the area, making the acid combust. I ran towards the mouth of the demon, spreading the fire further around the walls.

"Yonige!(Night Flight)" The propulsion of the flames made me glide around. I was able to hold Belphegor with a single hand, since she had a protrusion that attached to my shoulder, The demon began to move around, meaning that my plan of obligating it to go up to the surface was working

I exited the demon, and flew up towards the sky. I flipped over, facing the demon down, who seemed to be in pain, even without a face to give off an expression.

“Ni - Karimakura! (Two - Nap)” I pressed the trigger twice, firing two missiles at the demon. They entered its mouth and I landed on the sand nearby the area. “Go to hell.” The explosion triggered inside its body, but instead of going immediately back to Hell, it… exploded. It covered me in slime and some sort of weird bodily fluids. Then, the little bits that remained of it, returned to hell. “What the heck is this?” I asked, activating the portal and returning home, finding Belphegor and Asmodeus there. “I need a shower.”

“I guess you’re right.” Asmodeus answered, with her signature grin.

That was my cue line. I went to the living room and took a couple of cushions from the couch that has been my bed for the last couple of months.

“What are you doing, Sakuma-kun?” I turned around, finding Mammon in confusion. “Why are you covered in slime?”

“Well, I just took care of this demon. But I made it explode. And this was the result.” I explained, as I took out some clothing from the couch that I had kept under the cushions.

“Oh yeah… You don’t need to take baths because of your regeneration abilities, isn’t it?”

“Yes, but I think that this won’t come out without a strong shower. Well, I have to go now.” I walked away from the living room, going towards the shower room.

Going through the corridor, Leviathan greeted me. “Back already, Sakuma?”

“Yeah. I’m on my way to the shower room.” I informed, waving goodbye. I stood in front of the door and opened it. I should have knocked first. “Eh?”

I saw Lucifer and Satan inside the room, Satan cleaning Lucifer’s back. Due to the perspective of my point of view and the quantity of objects in between us blocked my view of any body part that I wasn’t really supposed to see. I blushed intensely, releasing some steam during the process. It seemed like time decided to play a prank on me by running in slow motion. After a while, Satan grabbed a chair nearby (anyone familiar with anime will understand this statement) and threw it at my face, making me fall backwards.

“Damn perverted bastard!” she insulted me and closed the door. I sat up, rubbing my face with my hands, trying to calm down the pain. It wasn’t my intention to catch them in the middle of a bath, but it wasn’t my fault! Curious about the event, I couldn’t help myself to lean in and overhear the conversation. “Lucifer, why the Hell didn’t you panic?”

“I’m proud of the shape and figure of my body. I don’t mind people seeing it.”

Satan sighed. “I sometimes wonder how we are related.” Related? Satan and Lucifer are related? As in… family?

“But we are. And who would be better for the title of “Mom” than me? Hohohoho!” Mother?! Lucifer is Satan’s mother?!

“I prefer the term “Sister”, thanks.” Wait, Sister? Wait, are they mother and daughter or sisters?! This is starting to confuse me…

Lucifer was the one to sigh, this time. “Satan, you should relax more often. I don’t care if you punch Sakuma’s stomach or anything, but try to have fun.”

“You don’t understand…”

“Of course I do. You hate him, right?” Well, that escalated quickly.

“No…”

“EHHHHH?!”

“I hate that I don’t hate him.”

“My, my, they grow up so fast these days.”

“I’m over 4000 years old!!” Ok, for someone who’s over 4000, Satan is in pretty good shape.

“Big deal. I’m over 3 million years old.” Ok, now I have to give credit to Lucifer. How is she in such a young state?! Oh yeah… Immortality.

“How’s your back?” Lucifer’s back?

“Still hurts… But we both know it will never go.” What are they talking about?

“Do you want to talk about it, Sis?”

“Not really… Well, it won’t matter in the end, will it?”

“Sakuma, why are you glued to the door?” I turned around, finding Leviathan and Beelzebub, who was eating Chinese food take out. I jumped back from the scare, but composed myself quickly.

“N-Nothing, nothing… It’s… It’s nothing.” I answered them, as I tried to process the information I overheard. “Hey, do any of you know something about the relationship between Lucifer and Satan that I might need to know?”

“Not really.” Beelzebub answered, after swallowing the piece of chicken.

“We don’t really know much about those two. They were the first two to appear here. The third was Belphegor, so she might know something. I was the forth to come.”

“Asmodeus came before me, and Mammon was the last to join us in.”

“What is the gap of time between all of you in terms of arrival?” I wondered.

“I-I won’t tell you that! You’ll think I’m old!” Leviathan shrieked, blushing.

“O-Ok… I will keep silent then.” I answered.

After about twenty minutes, Lucifer and Satan finished their bath. I went in afterwards and took a shower. I actually missed those in the two months in a half I’ve been in Hell. Apparently, regeneration abilities take care of whatever isn’t supposed to be abnormal about my body. In other words, sweat, dirt and others end up disappearing naturally and my smell stays normal. But today, regenerating wouldn’t help.

"Ahhhh..." I sighed, coming out of the shower room, with my clothing for the day: a pair of grey large shorts, a white t-shirt, and a dark jacket. I had a tower over my hair, trying to dry it.

"Sakuma." I look towards the origin of the voice, and looked at Belphegor. She seemed... Different, but I couldn't really put my finger on it.

"What's the matter?"

"I need milk. I can't fall asleep." She informed me, making me realize what was different about her. She was awake.

"You can't fall asleep? I mean... How?"

"There's only a certain number of hours I can sleep with the need of warm milk to induce sleep again. But we ran out."

"Ok... I'll go to the human world to buy some of it."

"You don't need to, you only have to go to Pergis. Milk is free there."

That was a new name to me. "Pergis?"

"It's one of the sectors of Hell." Belphegor explained, but my only response was a blank stare. "Have you ever gotten out through that door ever since you came here?"

"Not counting my strolls throughout the human world, no."

"Then this is a good opportunity to explore." She informed me, giving me a piece of paper that looked somewhat like a map. I opened it, showing me the image of something similar to a continent. It was divided in 7 parts, each with a weird name: Ruxuria, Inveka, Ura, Surubeba, Guru, Pergis, and Abarus.

"At the moment, where exactly are we?"

Belphegor laid her finger on the map and pointed the center of it, where all the sectors met. "Right here."

"So... Hell is made out of seven sectors. Like countries, right?"

"That's a good comparison, yes."

"So Hell, in the end, is a massive continent, isn't it?"

"Again, yes."

"And Demons are its citizens?"

"Hm-hm. Ba~~" Belphegor nodded, smiling cutely.

"And how exactly do these places work, in the end? Like, are there presidents or something?"

"Each sector has a governor, which is its founder. The seven of us each own a sector." Now it all started to make sense. "Mine is Pergis."

"How does a country have a governor who's always sleeping?" I joked, chuckling. Though, when I looked at her, she had a blush spread across her face, teary eyed, looking down, sniffing lowly. I immediately realized that I said something that I shouldn't have.

She sniffled. "E-eto... I... I try my best to..."

"Sorry, sorry." I leaned forward, bending my knees, patting her head, with a smile spread across my face. She seemed confused, or something of the genre. "I'm sure you're a very good Governor, Belphegor."

“R-Really?” She blushed intensely.

“Yup. That’s why you shouldn’t cry.” I cleaned her tears with my thumbs, petting her head a bit more.

“Alright. Ba~…” She spoke, shrugging with a smile, eyes closed. She looked very, very… cute. Before I knew it, I was pressing my lips onto her forehead. “Teehee!” she giggled. I moved down and kissed her nose. She giggled again and her hands lay on my shoulders. I smiled as I saw her goat ears twitch. We looked into each other’s eyes, smiling, blushing crimson. But suddenly we both opened our eyes widely and backed off from each other.

“U-Umm… I’ll go buy the milk.” I walked away, trying to figure out what just had happened before. I decided to leave it for later. Right now, I had to focus on the milk.

Well, I wasn’t there at the moment, but Asmodeus told me about it later.

Belphegor poked her fingers together. “What was that…? It was nice… But…”

“Are you in love with Sakuma too?”

“Ah!” Belphegor jumped back out of scare. Asmodeus and Leviathan entered the room. Asmodeus looked cheery, like usual, while Leviathan seemed rather angry.

“What? No… I…”

“Oh…! I’m so jealous of you, Belphegor!” Leviathan yelped. “You got to be kissed on the forehead by Sakuma-kun!”

“I… got kissed in the forehead…” Belphegor put her fingers on her forehead and felt it warm. She liked the sensation.

“You were so close of getting his first kiss!” Asmodeus squealed like some sort of fan girl.

But returning to the main plot.

I read the map and decided to explore Hell. I left Pergis for last, so I would explore the entire Continent as fast as possible.

First, was Ruxuria. Apparently, its governor was Asmodeus. How did I know about this? Well, it appears that everybody was cheerfully, and that no one knew what the word “censored imagery” meant.

Then, I went to Abarus. It was filled with casinos and shops. And I’m pretty sure they tried to bet me in one of the games. Governor? Mammon.

The next one was Ura. It was mostly… destroyed. If you touched one of the buildings, it could break apart easily. It was filled with gyms as well, for some reason. Governor must have been Satan.

After that, I moved to Guru. I was amazed to see such great amount of food. Governor was Beelzebub without any doubt.

Next stop was Surubeba. It was… completely white. And everybody was a jerk. I call Lucifer on that one.

Before the last stop, I went to Inveka. Everybody appeared to be jealous or something of the sort. I’m pretty sure Leviathan is the one calling the shots in that area.

I walked to Pergis, and obtained the milk. It was rather easy to obtain it, seeing that everybody was asleep.

Each time I entered an area, I felt… different. In Surubeba, I felt like I could beat anyone. In Inveka, I felt jealous of many things that I never even considered before. In Pergis, I felt like I could fall asleep at any moment. In Ruxuria, I had strong sensations of arousal. In Ura, I wanted to punch something, anything. In Abarus, I felt like starting a poker play. And in Guru, I wanted to eat any sort of food. But I could resist it easily, for some reason. Well, I had a plan to understand everything now though…

“Sakuma-kun!” Belphegor ran up to me after I returned. I was holding a pack of multiple bottle of milk. But before she could take it into her hands, I raised my hand, making her not reach the milk, leaving her confused. “Why are you being mean…?”

“First, I have something to ask you.”

“Eh?”

“I want to know everything about Hell.” I explained, leaving her astonished. “Could you tell me about it?”

“I could, but… Follow me.”

She took me into the Living Room, my bedroom in other words, and she opened some secret compartments, which showed a large red book with gold ornaments.

“These are the 666 Rules of Hell.”

(A/N: I have been asked how I came up with the main character’s name, Sakuma. Well, the word for devil or “high demon” in Japanese is “Akuma”. Adding an ‘S’ From “Sin”, it turns into “Sakuma”. Sakuma has meanings related to geologic events and erosion. I thought it suited him, due to his immortality: despite his grand existence, he’ll end up changing sooner or later, just like the Earth)

6: Chapter 6 – The Rules of Hell
Chapter 6 – The Rules of Hell

“These are the 666 Rules of Hell.”

The… 666 Rules of Hell? “Why did you show me this?”

“I think all the answers you want will be in here.” Belphegor explained, handing me the book. “Now, could you give me the milk?”

“Oh, sure!” I had almost forgotten about it. I handed her the set and she walked away happily in a way that I considered “cute”. I glanced over the book and put it where Belphegor took it from.

I verified where all the Sins were: Lucifer and Satan were busy discussing something I couldn’t really understand, Belphegor was sleeping soundly, Leviathan and Mammon were discussing something about maturity, Beelzebub was busy with a little banquet, and let’s just say that Asmodeus was REALLY busy.

I moved to the Living Room again and took out the large book. It almost looked like the Bible in terms of length and thickness. It was colored red, with gold ornaments and drawings on the cover. It had the same symbol as the one imprinted on my chest… I sat down on the couch and opened the book. I began to read it out loud, beginning with a short text.

‘The 666 Rules of Hell were written by Lucifer, Stan, Belphegor, Leviathan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub and Mammon, the 7 Deadly Sins. They are not only rules, but more of guidelines and information about what happens in Hell.’

Seemed simple enough. I opened the book and began to read it.

‘1 – Demons cannot die, since they are souls.

2 – A demon is a human soul corrupt from staying too long in Hell.

3 – There are 5 types of sins: lesser sins, medium sins, heavy sins, grand sins, and Deadly Sins.

4 – A human soul goes to Hell instead of Heaven if it commits a Heavy or higher sin.

5 – The higher the Sins in the past life, the stronger the demon will be.

6 – The number of Sins isn’t taken into account for the decision of whether or not a soul goes to Hell, only the quality.

7 – The higher the type of sin, the lesser the number of actions called sins becomes.

8 – Animals can also commit sins, but go to a different after-world.

9 – Lesser Sins: disrespect, smoking, etc… (Number of Lesser Sins: 265)

10 – Medium Sins: robbery, alcoholism, arson, etc… (Number of Medium Sins: 198)

11 – Heavy Sins: murder, kidnapping, adultism, suicide, etc… (Number of Heavy Sins: 113)’

“Wait a minute… Suicide… is a Heavy Sin? Why?! Did I… Did I go to Hell to begin with because I committed suicide?” That’s all I could think of at the time. I guess that’s why Lucifer and the others were so secretive whenever I asked them about why I came here in the first place. I looked at my wrists, seeing the white mark around them, the area where I slit them… My brain was shaken, but I decided to keep reading for the time being.

’12 – Grand Sins: multiple murders, cannibalism, holocaust, etc… (Number of Grand Sins: 83)

13 – Deadly Sins: Pride, Wrath, Sloth, Envy, Lust, Gluttony and Greed. (Number of Deadly Sins: 7)

14 – Demons end up forgetting their past life if they are corrupted too much. The weaker the demon, the easier it is to be too corrupt.

15 – Strong demons are able to maintain their memories without many problems.

16 – After 16 months in hell, souls turn into demons.

17 – Demons don’t need to eat, but can if they want to.

18 – Demons don’t need to drink, but can if they want to.

19 – Demons don’t need to sleep, but can if they want to.

20 – The shape of each demon may vary.

21 – The abilities of each demon may vary.

22 – Two demons can fight, but there will never be a winner.

23 – If two demons playa game with rules or follow rules in a challenge, winners and losers are possible.

24 – Suicide above the age of 88 won’t count as a Sin.

25 – The personality and ways of people (sexual orientation, mental diseases, etc…) won’t ever be a sin.

26 – Demons may even forget how to talk.

27 – No matter how much a demon forgets, emotions will never disappear from one’s mind.

28 – A demon may suffer to the point of only feeling negative emotions.

29 – Powerful Demons may possess their own portion of Hell.

30 – Hell is divided into various sectors. The main Seven are: Surubeba, Ruxuria, Inveka, Ura, Abarus, Pergis and Guru.

31 – Each Sector has its governor, which is its founder.

32 – Each sector has its rules that every demon must follow.

33 – The rules of Surubeba, Ruxuria, Inveka, Ura, Pergis and Guru are all written down in The 666 Rules of Hell.

34 – The rules of each sector are created by its governor.

35 – Only demons can be governors.’

After a while, I understood what the initial text mean. These rules aren’t exactly rules, but more like observations of what happens around here in Hell.

’36 – If a demon doesn’t follow the rules of the sector, its power will be decreased.

37 – Power is the most important thing for a demon.

38 – The most powerful demons in Hell are: Lucifer, Satan, Belphegor, Leviathan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub, and Mammon.

39 – The 7 most powerful demons in Hell are known as “The Queens of Inferno”.

40 – The Queens of Inferno can never lose any of their power.

41 – The Queens of Inferno may be able to gain power though.

42 – The Queens of Inferno correspond to the 7 Deadly Sins each.

43 – Lucifer is the original demon.’

The original demon? But Lucifer is said to be a fallen angel. There seems to be a difference between those two, right?

’44 – Lucifer is a fallen angel, banished by God.

45 – Light is poisonous to every demon except Lucifer, since she’s a fallen Angel. Powerful demons can create resistence, with various limits.

46 – The more powerful a demon is, the more resistant it is to light.

47 – There is no Light in Hell.’

No light in Hell… Then how come it is clear as day outside? I mean, sure, everything is somewhat dark and red, but I can still see colors without the need of focusing at all. Maybe… artificial light? Beelzebub did say it doesn’t affect demons the same way normal light does. I decided to leave the rest of it for another day. I saved the book where it originally was and noticed that time flew by rather quickly. I decided to fall asleep without watching TV before, for once.

I pondered about why Suicide was a one-way ticket to hell? I mean, the other examples of Heavy Sins were Murder, Kidnapping and Adultism. I tried to figure it out… What was the relation between sins and the result of them? What was classified as a sin to begin with? … Life? Maybe… Disrespect for life? A sin is something that shows someone doesn’t respect life? Not only other’s life… but also the one’s own life? I would have continued thinking about it, but…

“WAKE UP, YOU DAMN MAGGOT!”

“Ahhh!” A punch from Satan’s right to my stomach woke me up. I held my stomach and rolled over, falling to the floor. “Ouch!” I stood up, properly and threw my manners away. “What the freaking hell, Satan?! Stop punching me!”

Silent filled the room, with seven pairs of eyes staring at me. I understood why.

“Umm… Sorry. I was in the middle of a dream that I didn’t want to wake up from and I didn’t really want to wake up, mainly when’s … 4 AM.”

“We have an emergency, Sakuma-kun.” Leviathan informed, but it just raised more and more questions.

“What emergency?”

“A powerful demon is in the middle of an invasion in the human world.” Mammon informed.

“And what makes this one different from all the others that we left for the next day?” I wondered, not understanding why that was.

“He has a large legion of demons.” Beelzebub answered bluntly.

“How large?”

“Hmm…” Asmodeus thought of an answer. During her answer, she spread her arms. “About thiiiiiis big.”

“That isn’t a number…” I spoke, sweating bullets.

“Today, you go big, Sakuma.” Lucifer told me. And that’s when I knew that they weren’t kidding. Even though Belphegor was sleeping in the middle of the floor.

I was transported to the human world, holding Lucifer in her weapon form in my hand. I decided to give it a name though… I named it Luce Yari. Luce means Light in Latin, and Yari means Spear in Japanese. Holding Luce Yari, I arrived at Uluru, in the foreign location of Australia. It was the middle of the night, a stormy night to be precise. Oh, for all of you that don’t know about Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, is a gigantic sandstone formation.

I was about some kilometers from the mountain itself. But I could clearly see it at the top of the rock formation. A demon. For the brief seconds that lightning showed up, I could see it: A demon with sharp claws on his hands and feet, the head of a… unicorn, apparently, and fancy clothing, with a trumpet held on its waist by a sash.

“Dog of the Seven Sins!” he called, probably calling me by the epithet the rogue demons decided to give me. “I see you have come!” His voice was loud like a thunder. “My name is King Amdusias, a Great King with 29 legions of demons!”

“29 legions?” I asked myself, curious.

“A legion is the equivalent to 70 demons.” Lucifer informed me.

“Wait, that means he has 2030 demons at his disposal?!” It was an amazing number, I won’t lie. Up until that moment, I’ve only had battle 3 demons at the same time, tops. I glanced over at the beast on top of the Rock and made a short glare.

“No need to glare me. Glare at my subordinates.” He picked his trumpet and played it, opening a large portal at the base of the Ayers Rock. Lucifer explained to me once that some demons can create portals in the human world, as long as it would be to other points in the human world.

A large army of demons ran out of the portal towards me. They all looked the same: humanoid, blank, without any distinction between them. They had white skin with red markings, not visible organs besides the skin, the mouth, a round eye on their forehead, and their humanoid naked body without any hair.

“Are you ready?”

“One second.” I flipped open my cellphone and sent a general text to my only 7 contacts, saying “Be ready for anything”. “Now I’m ready.”

“My legions! Attack!” He blew on the trumpet and the grand total of 2030 demons running towards me.

I spun Luce Yari twice in my hand and posed myself in a battle stance. My legs were trembling in excitement. I guess I should tell you about this: I’m an enthusiast for battles. Of course, a battle this big would be hard, but my adrenaline would take care of that.

“Oi, Sakuma. Are you ok? Your hands are shaking.”

“Yes.” She must have sensed it. I grinned in a weird way. I grinned the same way as when I grinned at the mall, right before I used Mammon to defeat that black widow demon. “I’m just ready!” I dashed towards the vast army of mad demons, which were running towards me as well.

(Theme Song for this battle: “The Last One Standing” from Simple Plan)

I ran and got a hold of Luce Yari with both my hands. At about 1 mile of distance from them, I jumped. The edge of Luce Yari began to glow brightly yellow and I swung it as hard as I could horizontally from one side to another. “Kuresento Hikari! (Crescent Light)” Luce Yari released a semi-circular energy wave made out of light from the blade, which hit the first row of demons, sending them up into the air. Lucifer opened multiple portals, sending them to Hell. (Demons remaining: 2020)

“Gyaaaaahh!!” a trio of demons jumped up when I landed back onto the ground. I glared at them and spun the spear twice on my right hand alone, holding it tightly with it and pointing the blade at the demon on the center.

“Datenshi - Raito BÄ«mu!” (Fallen Angel – Light Beam) Similar to the standard light beam attack I use when using Luce Yari, this time I powered it up by using the spear as booster. The beam was significantly thicker, and the center demon was pierced on the chest, and the shockwave from the impact not only pushed the demon back up, but also made the other two demons fall to the side. (Remaining Demons: 2019)

The demons that were going to attack me and fell stood up properly and pulled back their arms.

“Haipā Bijon.” (Hyper Vision) My eyes flashed yellow and suddenly, in my point of view, everything became colorless, and started moving at an amazingly low speed, including myself. But my thought weren’t.

“Wow. You already figured out how to use our eyes?” Lucifer asked. She was the one that gave me the ability, thanks to the Power Share.

“I learned some things in these 2 and a half months.” I answered with a chuckle. I focused back on the battle though. I analyzed the angles and their posture. They were certainly going to punch me. That is, if I hadn’t jumped. My eyes flashed again, returning to their original color, and motion returned to normal. I back-flipped, dodging the punches easily, and quickly stabbed each with a sharp thrust of Luce Yari, making them fall to the floor in pain. I turned my head to the side, seeing that behind me were six demons the wanted to attack me as well. The two previous demons stood up and wanted to attack me as well. “Tenichitarou!” (Ascension) I jumped and swung the spear in an upward motion, sending up a large air-based projectile slash, which slashed the 8 surrounding demons, leaving scars in their bodies and pushing them up in the air. I was many meters above the ground, and I glared at the 8 demons. “Hotokedaoshi!” (Falling to the Ground (like a Buddha statue being throw down)) I swung down Luce Yari towards the ground, which hurled down a powerful invisible shockwave against the midair demons, which slammed them down against the ground with such force that made craters on the ground. Lucifer opened the portals, sending them all in. (Remaining Demons: 2011)

“Raaahh!” 17 demons ran into my direction. Of course, that I knew what ti do now.

“Satan!” Luce Yari turned into a flame that entered my body and then a red one came out into my hand, transforming into her weapon form. “The name of this weapon… Ferox Ono!” (Wild Axe (Ferox is Latin for Wild and Ono is Japanese for Axe or Battle Axe)) “Jakuten Bijon.” (Weak-Spot Vision) My eyes flashed red and my vision became reddish. I could distinguish colors, but they were all tones of red. In my approaching enemies, I could see cracks in certain areas of their bodies.

“You know what those are, right?”

“Yeah. Their weak points.” I dashed forward and was ready to attack. “Wairudo Momentamu!” (Wild Momentum) I spun around my body, the blade of Ferox Ono emanating large blue sparks and slashed the approaching demons in a single strike, sending them back to their home. (Remaining Demons: 1994)

“Now, now, what did those pesky Queens conjured up this time?” Amdusias asked, loud as a thunder. Maybe it was his natural voice, echoing through the area, and he was just loud.

“Hey!” Ferox Ono returned to Hell and an orange flame came out, replacing it, and turning into the chain that would always wrap tightly around my arm. Beelzebub, to be exact. Well, at the moment, I named her weapon form Cruentis Tessa (Bloody Iron Chain). “Don’t call them pesky! Ketsueki Bijon! (Blood Vision)” My eyes flashed orange, and when I looked at them, I could see their blood vessels, hearts, and blood circulation. “Musha-Musha! (Munch-Munch)” I stretched my arm forward, making the chain extend and retract multiple times, piercing the spots where the blood vessels of four demons would pump in the blood, meaning that the piercing made the demons spurt out a lot of blood. “Akai Shishitsu!” (Red Quality-Teeth) I quickly turned my hand upside-down and the blood droplets that flew over them turned into solid spikes, which speared the demons, defeating them. But my heart suddenly hurt like Satan had punched it directly. “Ahhh!” (Remaining Demons: 1990)

“Watch out, Sakuma! You can control blood when using me, but it has its limits! And it damages your body a lot as well!”

I understood Beelzebub’s warning. I switched her over to Leviathan, replacing the chain around my arm by the blue trident, which I decided to name “Glacialis Toraidento”, which means Glacial Trident.

“Sakuma-kun is using me…!”

“Not right now, Leviathan, please.” I requested, knowing that right now wasn’t the best moment to start that kind of conversation. “Semban Bijon!” (First-Move Vision) My eyes flashed green and I dashed forward towards the next squad of demons. Thanks to Leviathan’s abilities, when I moved up to a demon, I could foresee what a demon would do. The first demon was going to punch me, but I punched him first with my right hand, the one which wasn’t holding Glacialis Toraidento. I did more or less the same to the following demons, stunning them by performing their attacks first. I jumped up high in a backflip fashion and pointed the weapon towards the 15 demons below me. “Hārekuin, Seiji, Emerarudo: Sanmen Shitto! (Harlequin, Celadon, Emerald: Three-Sided Jealousy!)” The three spikes of the trident began to shine in three different tones of green and three powerful lasers were shot in a triangular fashion, defeating the demons below. (Remaining Demons: 1975)

“I’m jealous they got to be hit by Sakuma.” I definitely thought at the time that Leviathan had some issues, but that made me fall to the side.

“Asmodeus!” I called, switching weapons again.

“Yay! Sakuma-kun is going to use me!” I guess I jumped from the frying pan to the stove.

“Neppa Bijon!” (Heat Wave Vision) My eyes flashed pink and I narrowed my eyes at 5 approaching demons and suddenly their heads caught on fire, making them fall. (Remaining Demons: 1970) “I’ll cut you with this sword… Which I’ll name Amans Ryoubanoken (Loving Sword). Ai no SupÄ«do!” (Love Speed) I dashed forward, Amans Ryoubanoken stretched upfront, slashing five more demons, reducing the number again. “Mammon!” Asmodeus was switched over to Mammon, in the shape of the small hammer she turns into, which I decided to name Montem Tettsui (Mountain Hammer). “Kakujouhou Bijon!” (All-Information Vision) My eyes flashed yellow and information about the approaching demons was scanned by me. Bad side was that I was seeing everything in yellow tones of color. “Sani!” (Mountain Mass) I slammed the hammer onto the floor and small protrusions of rock from the area beneath the five closest demons rose up, sending them up into the air. “Soubanaseisaku!” (All-around Policy) I jumped and spun in a wheel like fashion, slamming their heads with Montem Tettsui, defeating them easily, since I knew exactly where to hit, thanks to the scan. (Remaining Demons: 1955)

“Good job, Sakuma-kun. They’re already decreasing in number.”

“Belphegor!” Montem Tettsui was replaced by Tempus Bazuka (Time Bazooka).

“Baaa… I need to… help you out… as well?”

“Naito Bijon!” (Night Vision) My eyes flashed grey, and I could see perfectly, despite the dark surroundings. “Go – Nanimonai!” (5 – Empty) I pressed the trigger, and the bazooka fired 5 missiles, each defeating a single demon. (Remaining Demons: 1950)

“They’re… far too many…” Belphegor informed me. I understood what she meant, and I knew what to do now.

“Oi! Amdusias!”

“Hm?”

I guess my voice called his attention. “I will defeat you and your army with only 7 attacks!”

“Eh?”

“Daizai: Taida!” (Deadly Sin: Sloth!) I prepared Tempus Bazuka and aimed at the swarm of demons. “Hyaku – Kyuusei! (100 – Sudden Death)” I jumped and pressed the trigger, releasing a giant amount of missiles through the bazooka sweeping an entire fleet of demons. (Remaining Demons: 1625)

“Deadly Sin…? I guess that’s a final attack.” Amdusias deduced.

“Leviathan! You’re next!” Tempus Bazuka was replaced by Glacialis Toraidento. I ran forward, prepared for the attack. Another fleet of demons ran towards me, just to meet their return to the place they so much wanted to flee from. “Daizai: Shitto! Hyouchuu Tsukikorosu! (Deadly Sin: Envy! Icicle Death Stab!)” I dashed forward, passing through them at amazing speed, freezing the demons and making the ice shatter all around them. (Remaining Demons: 1300) “Satan! Let’s do this!” Leviathan was replaced by Satan, making Ferox Ono appear in my hands. “Daizai: Gekido! Herufuaia Supairaru!” (Deadly Sin: Wrath! Hellfire Spiral!) I spun during the dash, creating a moving tornado of red and orange flames around me, which decimated the surrounding demons. (Remaining Demons: 975)

“How are you making these?”

“I’m using the Power Sharing ability.”

“What do you mean?!”

“It can work the other way around as well! I’ll give you power that comes from my immortality and you’ll give it back to me as the form of a more powerful attack!” I explained. “Asmodeus!!” Satan switched out and was replaced by Amans Ryoubanoken, Asmodeus in other words.

“Watch out, Sakuma-kun. Even though I love these attacks, you can actually die if you do something like that and they attack you. In other words, if you’re sharing your immortality with us, if you get hit, you won’t regenerate. This is, if you are sharing it all.”

“I’m not sharing the whole thing! Daizai: Nikuyoku! Shunsatsu Jouka!” (Deadly Sin: Lust! Instant Killing Love Song) The blade of the sword began to shine purple and I swung it in a circular fashion, sending in a gigantic wave of energy, which created destruction around the fleet of demons, sending them to hell. (Remaining Demons: 650) “Mammon, you’re now!”

“Bye bye, Sakuma-kun.” Asmodeus said, as the sword was replaced by the hammer I called Montem Tettsui.

“Daizai: Donyoku! Megaton Suramu!” (Deadly Sin: Greed! Megaton Slammer!) The hammer in my hands began to glow bright yellow and I jumped, flipping frontwards and slamming the hammer against the ground, emanating an amazingly large shockwave from the ground, strong enough to defeat half of the remaining demons. (Remaining Demons: 325). Due to the attack, I was obligated to soar up into the air and I changed weapon once again. “Beelzebub!” The Hammer was replaced by the Cruentis Tessa, and I was going to unleash the final attack to defeat the army. “Daizai: Boushoku! Kuroi Gyakusatsu! (Deadly Sin: Gluttony! Black Massacre!)” The chain became coated in dark-colored energy and I swung my arm forward, making the chain stretch and retract multiple times, multiplying into multiple chains in the process, stabbing all the remaining demons with a fatal stab, sending them back to where they belonged. (Remaining Demons: 0)

“Impressive.” Amdusias admitted, as I landed on the top of the Ayers Rock, facing the leader of that whole army.

“Lucifer.” Cruentis Tess was replaced by Luce Yari. “I’m curious. How are all the demons in your army so weak and look all the same?”

“When you have your own army, you can “shape” the souls of your servants. Not to mention that all their original power is right inside me. It would be somewhat unfair them being under my protection and receiving benefits without giving me something. I’m pretty sure you know the concept.”

That last sentence actually confused me. “What do you mean?”

“The Dog of the Sins, fighting for them without getting something in exchange constantly? Everybody thinks you sleep with them every single day, in the Demon community.”

“W-W-W-WH-WH-WHA-WHAAAAT!?!?” I blushed as bright as I could, and my eyes looked like something that had just come out of a cartoon. The demons that had gone lose all over the planet… thought I was sleeping around with Lucifer and the others… I guess I must have blanked out and imagined some… images of the 7 Sins, which I haven’t really thought about during the time I spent with them.

“Stop drooling!”

“Eh?” I noticed that drool was gathering up at the corner of my mouth. I quickly cleaned it and tried not to think of the images Amdusias had induced. “S-Sorry…”

“Hahahaha! You really are a dog.”

“I’m not a dog! I’m a--”

“You’re what?” His words were cold, which stunned me a lot. “You are no longer human. But you are not a demon by any means. You can’t be just a soul or ghost because you have a body, but you can’t be a zombie or ghoul either because that body of yours isn’t the same as the original one.” He approached me, glaring into my eyes. “Do you have any idea of what you are?”

“… Is this how you fight?”

He seemed confused. “Umm, excuse me?”

“Are you trying to induce thoughts into my head in order to distract me or anything? First the sleeping thingy, now the psychological torture… Look, if you want an answer to your question, I’ll just say I’m a… ummm… a Deadman. I’m the 7 Sins’ Deadman. Happy?”

“Are you for real?” He looked genuinely questioned. “Do you have any sense of importance? For god’s sake, you gave up on your life, and-”

“And what?” He flinched what I spoke in a cold tone for once. “I gave up on my life, and made a deal, what’s all the fuss about? I will tell you one thing. Cutting my damn wrists with a crappy swiss army knife was the best thing I could have done.”

“Wh…?”

“If I hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t have met Lucifer, Satan, Belphegor, Leviathan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub and Mammon. And I couldn’t be more grateful for anything else that had ever happened to me before.” I posed in a battle stance and began preparing my attack. “So don’t give me that crap of what I did was wrong. It might have been a mistake, and a big one at that, but that doesn’t mean I have to live in regret for ever like most Demons. We all should make big mistakes! Because if we don’t do them, we miss our chances of learning and grabbing bigger opportunities! And my biggest mistake turned out to become my salvation!” I jumped up and was ready to strike once more. “Daizai: Kouman! Koutouteki Ginyoku!” (Deadly Sin: Pride! Transcendent Silver Wings!) I pointed down Luce Yari and the mirage of two bright silver wings protruded from the bottom of the pole, next to the blade of the weapon, and I flew down towards Amdusias.

“Thunder Claw!” His hands and claws became surrounded in blue electricity and he jumped towards me. Our attacks clashed and we struggled, but thanks to transferring some of my own power, I managed to get through him and land on the Ayers Rock, he kept moving up towards the air and then I turned, narrowing my eyes.

"Go to Hell, for Heaven's sake." I stood up properly and Amdusias yelled in pain, as his blood spurted out of his body. Lucifer opened the portal and he fell through it, ending the menace for sure.

I sighed in relief, since I was pretty sure my body couldn't use any more energy. "You want to one back already?"

"Yes, please." I answered, as the portal opened in front of me. I smiled and walked through it, finding seven demons on the other side.

"Just when I thought you couldn't sink any lower." Lucifer stated, confusing me. Well, confusing me even more was the fact that Satan punches me in the stomach yet again.

"ITAI!"

"That's what you get for being an idiot."

"What did I do wrong?!" I asked, astonished, holding my stomach.

"I shouldn't be telling you this." Mammon put a hand on her cheek, and made a small gentle smirk. "But they thought that your line was somewhat idiotic."

"I just thought... Never mind..." I looked away. And then, suddenly something stronger than Satan's punch hit me. "AHHHHHHHH!"

"S-Sakuma-kun, what's the matter?!" Leviathan asked worriedly. I held and rubbed my eyes.

"I FEEL LIKE MY EYES ARE BURNING!"

"That's a... side effect... Baaa~~" Belphegor informed me. I deduced that it was from using the visions. I guess I shouldn't have used them carelessly.

"Gaaaahhhh..." I made my best to tolerate the pain.

"I love when Sakuma-kun is tolerating pain!"

"You love everything..." Me, Leviathan and Beelzebub said in unison, having the same reaction.

"Well, Sakuma, since you did the job the way you should, I'll give you a day off."

"A day off? As in, no demon hunts?"

"Are you surprised, or just stupid?" I swear dropped at Lucifer's question, mainly because she had an honest expression.

"Can I chose the day?"

"Sure. What's the date?"

"6th of June." I informed, confusing the demons. After all, it was an odd date. Why a date that was somewhat far from the current date?

I'm Sakuma. I made a deal with the 7 Deadly Sins. And I was born on the 6th of June of 2006.

-_-_-_-_-_-_-

Lucifer and Satan talked that night. I didn't know about that at the time, but they told me later on.

"Convinced? I told you I'm the best at picking."

Satan growled. "Not totally. He's still a perverted bastard in my opinion."

"Satan, I don't like admitting just as much as you, but we read his soul." Apparently, that's the name of what they did to me while I was alive. Reading my would tell them who I was, how my personality was constructed, how I was feeling... but nothing like reading my mind or observing me directly. That's why they didn't know exactly how I looked when I first came to Hell, and that's the reason why they don't know my name. "He is worth trying. He isn't like most humans. Believe me when I say that I know."

"Lucifer..."

"Sakuma... He will become the King of Hell."

7: Chapter 7 – Day of the Deadman
Chapter 7 – Day of the Deadman

It had been 4 months in total ever since I made the deal. And the date is 6th of June of 2023. As you might now, it is my birthday! I would turn 17 if it wasn’t for the “forever stuck in 16 years and 8 months old” thing, but I want to keep track. And that day was somewhat of a special day. It was my first birthday as a Deadman, as I called myself. You might think I would celebrate it with the Seven Sins, but I didn’t. At first, that is…

“Today’s your off day, isn’t it?” Leviathan asked me, just as I walked out of my bedroom. I was wearing a new set of clothes: a silver shirt, loosened long dark-blue shorts, and my usual pair of sneakers.  She had a rather curious cute smile. “What are you going to do?”

“I’m… I’m going to Earth. I have some things to do that I haven’t had a chance to do yet.” I answered, trying to go alone. I didn’t want to bother her or any of the Demons, so, I tried not to be specific, so she wouldn’t try to come along or anything of the sort.

“Like what?”

“Eto…” I knew she would want to come along if I actually told her, so I made the first thing that came to my mind. I moved in and kissed her nose. The result was exactly what I was expecting: she first blushed intensely, then her eyes widened, followed by her fainting. I wrote down the trick for emergencies in one of seven booklets I had bought the other day. I bought them in order to write down all the escape route tricks and such. After a while living with the 7 of them, we need to keep track of how to take advantage of situations.

But moving on!

I moved to the kitchen and found Beelzebub eating Chinese foo-

*DOSU*

“Ahhrrgh…” Satan punched me in the stomach. Again. I think I should search for an undershirt-shield or something. “Good morning Satan. Good morning, Beelzebub.” I spoke in a deep tone, trying to compose myself again.

“Good morning, Sakuma.” Beelzebub spoke, but Satan just began to drink her coffee, as usual.

Mammon entered the room and made a question to all of us. “Does anyone know why Leviathan is passed out in the middle of the hall?”

Of course, I just looked away and began to whistle. I walked forward, which I ended up… bumping into Asmodeus… ’s chest.

“Eh?” she looked down, finding me, and before I could jump back, she held my head close to eat. “Sakuma-kun! Ohayou! (Good morning)”

“Mrmph mmmrpph mmmrrrmph!” I tried to say “Asmodeus, let me go!”, but I couldn’t. Two large flesh pillows were making me lose air. I thank Lucifer for what she did next.

“Asmodeus, let him go.” Lucifer pulled my head out of Asmodeus’s chest and I finally inhaled again.

“PUAHHH!”

“Awww…” Asmodeus pouted. “I love Sakuma-kun when he is struggling to be a gentleman but just wants to-”

“I’m on my way to the human world.” I interrupted Asmodeus, blushing intensely, not wanting her to finish the sentence.

“Is it just me, or ever since that talk with Amdusias, Sakuma has been… blushing even more than usual?” Lucifer asked to the rest of the girls in the room while I left Hell. I didn’t get to hear the question, because I was on Earth the next second.

-_-_-_-_-_-_-

You may be wondering where I would go. Well, there was one place I’ve wanted to visit for a while now.

“So they actually listened when I said I wanted to be buried and not cremated.”

I was in a cemetery. Right in front of my grave. How I found it? Well, I just searched the closest cemeteries to my original home, and after exploring a bit, I managed to find it.

It was a small one, filled with graves, but not in exaggeration, as opposed in Japanese tradition, and it was actually a nice place, with trees and everything.

But I was curious about who had left the bouquet of yellow roses… I mean, I doubt it was my parents. I don’t want to be mean or anything, but from what I remember, they certainly weren’t. I took the bouquet into my hands and smiled. Someone actually bothered and came here to give me… Well, not exactly to me but, still, a bouquet. I took out one of my 7 little notebooks, the red one which corresponded to Satan, which was almost empty, and ripped out one of the pages. Taking out my mechanical pencil, I wrote down a little message to the sender. I folded it and put a little rock on it so it wouldn’t fly away.

“Let’s go, Chika-san!”

“Calm down, Fumiko. You really are excited, aren’t you?”

Fumiko and Chika!? What were they…? I ran as fast as I could and hit on top of one of the trees that were nearby and looked out with curious eyes. My eyes widened seeing two familiar faces.

Chika, my only friend from when I was alive. I think if it wasn’t for her, I would have killed myself way before turning 16. She was wearing a rather cute white summer dress, which made her look rather… beautiful. She also had a white hat with a purple ribbon around it over her wavy brown hair. Her brown eyes were as radiant as ever.

Fumiko… Is my little sister. She is pretty much the only other reason I didn’t commit suicide earlier on. She... didn’t grow a lot since the last time I saw her. She was as cute as ever. Her lilac hair with a side pony tail and her childish clothes matched her purplish eyes. She’s only 8, you know?

“Eh? Chika-san, what’s this?”

“Hm? A letter?”

Crap! Should they really read the letter? I mean… I wanted at first to thank them, but I didn’t want my classmate and my little sister to know I’m still alive. I mean, from all people… Let me explain more clearly… I was important to them and they were important to me. And if it was somebody else, they would just laugh it off, but those two… they would actually think I was alive. Well, I’m not technically aliv- you know what I mean.

“Eh?! Onii-chan is… alive?!”

“This… this is his handwriting.” Chika confirmed. I guess my mental rambling took a little too long.

‘Thanks for the bouquet. Don’t tell anyone, ok? Oh, umm, by the way, I changed my name. I’m now called Sakuma. Don’t mention my real name anymore, ok? Again… thank you.’ Chika read the letter. Fumiko looked very confused, and repent spread across my face.

“Eto… onii-chan… isn’t dead?”

“No, no… he is dead. You saw it yourself when you found him.”

FUMIKO WAS THE ONE WHO FOUND ME?!

“But if he wrote that…”

“Maybe it’s his spirit.” Chika suggested to Fumiko. And… she wasn’t really wrong. “Maybe he came down from Heaven to take the bouquet we left the other day and write us this note.”

“But… what about his name? Why did he change it?”

“Hmm…” Chika began to call me out. Not by Sakuma, but by my original name. I covered my ears, until she did say something. “Sakuma.”

I climbed down of the tree but hid behind it, so they wouldn’t see me. I wrote on another page that I ripped off and threw it at them, which landed on Fumiko’s face thanks to the wind.

“Eto…” she tried to read it after taking the paper off her face. “Thanks for everything. And thanks for calling me by Sakuma. I love both of you. Sayounara.” Tears came out of their eyes, and I could hear them trying not to cry. I stepped out of my little hideout and called them.

“Fumiko. Chika.” They turned to me and the tears on the corners fell down. They smiled, just like me. “I’m Sakuma. Nice to see you two again.”

“Onii-chan!” Fumiko ran up to me and jumped, hugging me. Chika did the same, but she didn’t need to jump.

“H-How are you alive?” she asked, never breaking her smile. I guess she was really happy to see me.

“I made a deal. Let’s leave it at that.”

“Eh?” Chika and Fumiko backed off, both confused. I simply began to sweat like bullets. “Wait, does this mean that there is an after-life?!”

“Umm…” I felt like I spoke far too much. “Look, Fumiko, Chika… I can’t be with you two any longer.”

“Why’s that?” Fumiko asked, with her puppy sad eyes. If I wasn’t dead already, that would’ve killed me.

“I’m involved in some serious business… Dangerous, if you know what I mean. And I don’t want you two to get into it as well.” I explained, leaving Chika half confused.

“You sound like you’re in the mafia business.”

“Are you calling me yankee?” I asked, receiving a giggle in response. It was an old joke we had. “I wasn’t planning to see you, but please, don’t tell anyone I’m still alive. Well, I’m not technically… it’s a long story.” I explained, receiving only silence in response.

“Can you come home…?” Fumiko asked. Her words stunned me a lot… “Please come home, Onii-chan! Mom and Dad aren’t mean to each other and me anymore! And Chika-san makes us a lot of visits!”

“Fumiko… I can’t. I would like to, I really would, but I can’t…”

“Why?” Chika wondered.

“Because my true body is buried over there.” I pointed at the grave. “I can’t really explain it, but I will guarantee you this…” I hugged them again, each of them with an arm. “I’ll protect and watch over you. Maybe I’ll make a visit or two. Even if it breaks my heart, I can’t stay.” I stood up properly again, finding them with smiles. Those were the “I’m going to mess with him”-looks that I always feared. “W-What…?”

“Today’s your birthday, isn’t it?”

“Why do you think I’m here?” I answered Chika.

“Then… ATACK!” Fumiko jumped at me with a black marker she took out of her pocket and Chika held me from behind. I didn’t really struggle, but in return, I got weird drawings on my face, which made me look like a panda.

“I must admit that I missed this.” I laughed, patting Fumiko’s head.

“Well, have a nice life. You have to go, don’t you?”

“Yes. By the way, again, don’t tell anyone. Not even Mom and Dad.”

“Roger!” Fumiko agreed. Chika took Fumiko’s hand and they walked away. They turned around again and waved at me. I smiled in return and walked on the opposite direction. A couple of tears fell down my eyes. I was sad I had to go, but I was living a new life. And I couldn’t risk hurting Fumiko nor Chika because of it. I did have the wright to do something… we took a picture, the three of us. And I kept it forever…

-_-_-_-_-_-_-

Ring-Ring…

“Uh?” I took out my phone and flipped it open. I saw that the caller was apparently Mammon. “Moshi-moshi?”

“Sakuma, it’s getting pretty late. Where have you gone?”

“Oh, don’t worry, I’m on my way back.” After I closed my phone, I was already there. “Hello there.”

“Sakuma… how come… you’ve… spent your day… alone…? Ba~~~…” Belphegor asked. With seven pairs of eyes looking at me in curiosity, I budged.

“Oh… Umm… How shall I say this?” I asked myself. Apparently making that question is the winning ticket for a free punch. Literally. “Ouch! Satan, what the-?!”

“Don’t be a chicken and answer already.”

“Oi, oi…” I whispered. I sighed and decided to tell them. “I went to the human world to celebrate my birthday. And I didn’t really want to bother any of you.”

“Why would that bother us?” Leviathan asked, not understanding my premise.

“Because I can only summon one of you at a time, and I wanted to be fair if that were to happen, but I understood that I couldn’t do that, so I decided to… gather up some things.”

“Gather up?” Lucifer asked, not understanding what I meant.

“You see, since I didn’t tell anyone about my birthday, instead of receiving presents… I got you presents.”

“Wait, what?” Belphegor snapped awake. The others looked just as surprised.

“Give me a minute.” I went back to the Human world and returned, holding, and almost dropping, 7 boxes: some small, some big.

“Presents for us? Why would you….?” Beelzebub asked, but I interrupted.

“Well, you’ve done quite a lot for me. So much that I thought maybe I should give something to you. And I came up with this.” I took the largest box. It was shaped like a large quadrangular prism. “This one is for Satan.”

“Wait, you got me a gift? Why?”

“Well, I wouldn’t leave you out of the picture, now would I?” I smiled. I can swear a saw her blush for a second. I decided to think that it was my imagination going wild. Satan opened the box and was somewhat confused by seeing the content.

“What is this?”

“It’s a boxing set. A punching bag and gloves.” She took it out. “I thought maybe it would help you train your punching. I’ve noticed that they’re becoming rather soft.”

“Eh?” I guess that her confusion came from my smile. “I-I hate it!” She punched the bag, and she was amazed about how it worked. “…thank you.” She said in a hurry, which surprised pretty much everyone in the room.

“Ok then… Belphegor.”

“Hm?” She approached.

“This one is for you.” I handed her a medium-sized box. She opened it after staring for a bit, and opened it. “This is…”

“The best blanket there is at the moment.” It was a soft white blanket. “I thought you would feel much more comfortable and warm. I know that you get cold easily.”

“Thank you. I… like it a lot.” She blushed a bit, staring at the blanket.

“Next is yours, Mammon.” I handed her a rather small box, and she thanked me with a smile. She opened it up and was rather confused.

“What is this?”

“It’s a video-camera. Since you like to save information so much, maybe it would be handy to you if you recorded it via images instead of taking notes. Don’t you think?”

“It will be useful. Thank you, Sakuma-kun.”

“Next is Asmodeus’s.”

“Mine?” She flew towards me and I handed her present into her hands. She carefully opened it and was rather surprised to see the present, but rather happy. “These dice…”

I whispered into her ears. “It’s to help you decide. I noticed you sometimes take some time at it, and I thought this would save you precious minutes.”

“Yay! I love you, Sakuma!” she saved the dice in her… bosom.

“I know, I know. Leviathan, this one is for you.”

She nearly ripped my hands off when fetching what I had in my hands. I guess I should have started with her, instead of building up her jealousy.

She opened the box and was rather surprised. “A hand mirror?”

“Well, it might be cheesy, but… Well, since you get jealous rather easily, I thought maybe you could look at it to see that you don’t need to be.” She blushed intensely and looked at it.

“Thank you.”

“Yours next, Beelzebub.” I handed her a large box. It was heavy, and she didn’t drop it luckily. She opened it, taking out the present.

“What is this?”

“It’s a microwave. It’s to heat up food when it gets cold. I sometimes hear you complain something is far too cold, so I thought you would like this. Just be sure not to put metal in it.”

“T-Thanks…” Beelzebub answered, fascinated by the appliance.

“I believe my present is next.” Lucifer spoke.

“To be honest, yours was the hardest to find.”

“Eh? What do you mean?”

“Since you’re so proud of yourself, I wanted to give something you would really like. And then I came across this.” I handed her the box and she opened it carefully.

“Is this…”

“Open it.”

Lucifer opened the box, which showed the doll of an angel that spun according to the song it let out. It was a music box.

“…Thank you, Sakuma. I really like it.”

Satan spent the rest of the night training her punches. Belphegor slept warmer than in any other night. Mammon recorded the rest of the evening. Asmodeus managed to enjoy 15 extra minutes. Leviathan saw her image and didn’t dislike it for once. Beelzebub managed to heat up all the cold food she had around. And Lucifer spent the entire night listening to that melody.

As for me, I ate some cake, which I shared with the seven sins. A slice for each. Though Beelzebub’s one was very, very big. And… they sang me “Happy Birthday”. It was… rather nice.

My name is Sakuma. I made a deal with the Seven Sins. And little did I know that my adventure had only begun.
