It was the beginning of our summer vacation and going to California was one of my dreams especially going to a underwater hotel. How I'm getting there? My friend Katherine invited me to her family trip. She even started bragging about going to Raging Waters and meeting the famous Shamu at Seaworld so I just couldn't deny the invite. I began to beg my father to let me go and as surprising as it sounds, he let me go saying that if it's with Katherine he will approve with anything. So I started listing the things I would need for the trip, however, the problem was I felt it at the last minute…

"Sora, are you ready? We're leaving in 20 minutes." Katherine yelled from downstairs. "Hurry up 20, 19…" Coming up the stair Katherine pushed the door open, hands on her hips. "You still have a mess in your room?" Grabbing Piles of clothes and throwing them in the laundry basket.

"I'm coming.." I said, looking back to the luggage checking it carefully if I've missed anything.

She said we'd be there for three months letting us have a lot of time to have fun and meet cute guys... Damn! I need my bikini. Hurrying to my closet , I threw my flip flops and my Monokini.i

"What is taking you so long Sora?" she said, looking back to my luggage. "Ok first of all you don't need this." She holded up the ipod boom box and put it on the table. "Second you don't need the dragon lamp I gave you. You're going to have a lot to look at when we're in Chinatown, plus I have mine. There you're done. Now close it so that we can go already."

I sighed but it was true I didn't need all this stuff. I closed the luggage and rolled it down stairs.

"Don't worry Mr. Lee." Katherine's dad said assuring my dad. "The girls will be in their own rooms while I'll be with my wife and younger daughter." So we are going to have our own is soo awesome! "Our destination it an underwater hotel called Aquaria. The girls will be safe, Sir." Oh an underwater hotel. Huh? Its 2016 everything is changed especially the big cities from technology to building locations. "Oh look the girls are here." I looked up from my luggage and looked at them. "So Sora are you ready for the best time of your life?"

"Please! The only thing we are doing is visiting my birth only thing we'll be enjoying is the water." Katherine said. "Besides Sora gets to come with us and enjoy the view under the sea."

"What do you mean under the ocean?" my dad exclaimed.

"Don't freak out Mr. Lee." Katherine said. "We are getting to the hotel by submarine, plus I think Sora has everything she need inside her."

"The only thing she has inside her is..." Dad asked.

"I mean she is ready to be free without conditions or rules. She needs to be let into the waves to understand the way to live. I let my daughter do that and look at where she's at." Katherine's dad explained.

"I have a clean profile with the police, I don't smoke, I'm still clean (a virgin), Want to graduate high school and go into marine biology." Katherine agreed. "Sora is perfectly fine with me and I'll make sure she isn't doing anything inappropriate."

"Didn't you say that as long as I'm with Katherine you'll agree to anything? Well that anything is this trip." I said interrupting the conversation. Surrendering dad sighed and waved his hand good-bye. "We'll I'll see you in the last week of August."

"I'll take your word into consideration. Sora I'll let you be and make your choices wisely." Dad said.

Leaving my luggage in the back, I took a seat behind Mr. Heins and began drawing in my sketchbook for the past 6 hours.

"Sora do you want some water?" Katherine's Mom asked, nodding she passed me a water. "We're almost there, six more hours to go until we finally feel the ocean breeze. Kathrina do you need anything?"

"Can you put a movie on mom it's so boring in here." Katherine's sister said.

"What happened to the game you where playing?"

"The battery died.." she complained. "I want a movie!"

"Honey I don't think it's possible your dad is still driving and I can't take off my seat belt." Katherine's mother said.

"Don't worry mom I'll put it on for her." Katherine said. "What movie do you want Kathrina?"

"This one" she said, taking out her new movie Frozen from her little bag.

Trying to break the plastic seal Katherine's finger began to bleed.. Oh no not blood! Not again!

2: Chapter 2

"How's Sora doing, Katherine?" Mom asked.

"She's still unconscious." I said putting seaweed on Sora's forehead. "This is her new record."

"What do you mean?" Tyron asked coming in the room. "Is my Daughter going to be alright?"

"Don't worry uncle this isn't the first time this happens to her. At school she faints when she hears about the male parts, then she faints at the sight of blood as well as dissecting a live frog."

"So it normal for her?"

"Yes, and this is that longest I've seen her unconscious.."

"And is this amusing to you, Katherine?"

"Yes," I said, holding in my laugh. "Only because Sora always acts like she's tough but when it comes to those things she becomes so weak it makes me look normal."

"Katherine, I think it's time to wake her up now." My mother said.

"Alright!" I sighed, taking off the seaweed and placing my hand as a replacement.

*In Sora's head*

Now where is she? Zooming past her memories, Sora's sea memories were coming out into the clear opening.

Uncle's arms around her, showing her the palace and the kingdom. 'Someday this will all be yours Sora.' Then baby Sora began to cry… 'What is it my child?' rocking her in his arms the baby began to cry harder. 'Is making her cry all you can do?' the 5 year old boy asked. 'Let me hold her.' Grabbing Sora from the king, the boy tucked her in tight in his arm and the crying stopped…

*Out of Sora's Mind*

"Uncle she is dreaming about the boy." I said, gasping for more water.

"The boy that.."

"Yes that boy." I said angrily. "She needs him right now."

"But.."

"I can't wait her up bring him to me."

"That's not necessary." The red tailed man said. Swimming towards Sora.

"You're.."

"Yes and if you don't mind, I'd like to see her."

Pushing me a side and sitting next to Sora..

"Sora, please wake up." he whispered in her ear.

"Mhmm.." Sora began to move and her eyes slowly opened. "Where am I?"

Looking around, she suddenly found herself seeing the man…

"Who are you?" She said, running toward the corner of the bed.

"He is you fiancée daughter."

"So my real father finally decides to show up?!" Speechless, Sora got off the bed and looked at the man next to her. "Why is he in my bed?"

"He helped you wake up from you 4 day's of unconscious state." I said trying to calm her down.

"What is that?!" Sora said, ignoring me.

Looking at her, a black tail replaced her feet where she pointed. Swimming around her room she began to panic and bumped into the man.

"Hey!" He said as he winked at her and looked down to what her shells hold. "Welcome to the Sea sweet heart."

3: Chapter 3

I was under the ocean, was all my mind would process while my original father gave Katherine a lecture on who know's what.

"Yo, Tyron!" my 'fiancee' said, "Keep it down she's still in shock."

"Daughter are you alright?" my father asked as he swam over to me pushing the man away. "Here lay back down"

"I'm fine father," I said sitting back up. "I just need time to process everything that has happened today. Katherine can you.."

"Stay here and help you adjust to things?" She said as if reading my mind. "And no I can't read minds. I've known you for so long that its easy for me to know what you're about to say."

"That is still creeping me out." I said getting up from bed and falling down on the coral floor. "Damn still need to get used to this tail… is this floor."

"Yes its made out of coral and I'll help you on swimming with your tail." Looking back at the guest. "Can you all leave? Sora and I need to talk about everything that has happened." Pushing them out she closed the door. "Finding out that you're adopted is pretty tuff, huh Sora? I know how it feels, finding out that you're adopted. I was also like you, living my life not knowing why I was so different than the humans."

'I know everything seem like a rush that I can't process everything at once." I said looking up at Katherine. "I'm scared about this new change.. I mean everything seems wonderful but everything going to change at the same time."

"It's alright Sora," She said looking out the window. "But not everything changes, we can still go to the human's school and look forward to prom." She laughed and then swam next to my bed. "I used to live in South Korea with a wonderful family, the Kim Sung. They would care for me like I was their child, until one day I found some papers that said I was adopted. I asked them about the papers and told me that they found me on shore when they were exploring the world that's below us now. They weren't going to leave me alone unattended so they picked me up and took me home. Then they adopted me by signing some papers with the government accepting me to be with them. I couldn't be mad at them because they were concerned for my health and well being and not having anybody around to nurture me until I grew."

"But your adoptive parents are so different from mine." I said, "Once my adoptive mother died, he brought in another women and everything felt.."

"I might not know how if feels for that situation to happen but you aren't alone." Katherine said giving me a smile. "I am here for you and your family is too. That won't happen again, this is your home and we will be here to help you adjust to living here."

"Alright but I'm not to sure about that fiancee dad arranged for me." I said looking at Katherine.

"I'm not up for it either," She said "Dad gave me a surprise when he said I had to marry this 23 year old man. He's a nice guy but I don't want to marry anyone until I feel ready."

"Really?!" I said surprised that her dad would even do that to her.

"Yes but your fiancee is different Sora." She said, "He's the one that has always made your tears stop, even in a dream."

"How do you know about the dreams?" I asked

"Because I have the ability to tap into anyone's dreams." She said pointing at my mind. "He was the boy that held you when you were just a small merbay and the one who mourned the most when you were claimed lost."

"Did he really cry when I was lost?" I said feeling guilty, Why am I feeling guilty?

"He loves you Sora." She said

"Wow," I said. "I will get to know him Katherine but I will not marry him. I don't know who he is or where he's from."

"I get it Sora but please don't lose your other half." She said.

4: Chapter 4

"So…" I said trying to get out of the depressing atmosphere. "Aren't you going to teach me how to swim in this?"

"Oh yeah," She said smiling at my tail. "To swim with your tail you just pelvic thrust in the water. To move to the left you twist your body to the left and to the right.."

"Ok I think I got it." I said pelvic thrusting forward, left and right for about thirty minutes until I began moving where I wanted to go. "I got it!"

"You sure did sweetheart." the man in the red tail said. "Now how about we swim to the dinning room together."

"Where is Katherine?" I asked looking back in my room, Don't tell me she ditched me and left me with this guy?

"I'm afraid she had to help your mother prepare the feast for your arrival." He said giving me his arm.

"I think I can swim from here, thank you." I said, blushing a bit.

"Alright," He replied a bit sad about not taking his arm.

"So my father say's you're my fiancee." I said, "Can you tell me more about your self?"

"I would rather know more about you." he said looking deep into my eyes.

Looking away I replied, "Well you knew me since I was little but I hardly know you."

"Well lets start with my name," he smile at me. "I am Rayu prince of the Asian Waters. My family is there now controlling the ships that come near our home. But I was the only one who made it here on time to meet you. As for age, I am twenty years old three years older than you. What I like are sweets, sandwiches, homemade bentos, ramen and you. Dislikes would be any food with fish. I have a pet stingray that loves to play hide and go seek. Oh look here he comes now." Racing towards us the stingray swirled around Rayu then looked at me. "She is my fiancee Boomer." Bowing down at me I extended my hand to pet him.

"You're beautiful Boomer," I said carefully observing him, pale skin to camouflage in the sand and a hint of light blue dots. "Simply Amazing"

"Wow," Rayu said as Boomer finally took my hand on his back. "Boomer is usually shy with others. You're the second person I've known to be able to let someone pet him."

"Who's the first?" I asked as I continued to stoke Boomer's back.

"Besides me, Katherine was the first." Rayu said

"Oh.." I said, Why you…. Katherine!

"Yeah," he replied, "So what about you?"

"What about me?" I said

"Weren't you going to tell me about yourself?"

"Oh yeah," I said, "I'll only tell you a few things about me. The rest you can figure out on your own."

"Aww come on, I told you everything there is about me?" he pouted as Boomer joined him.

"Come on," I said looking at Boomer. "you too? Alright I'll tell you." Making them both smile they slapped each others tails. "I was born with an American family, the Lee. That family was wonderful until my adoptive mother died, everything change after that. My adoptive dad married another women who had three kids… She took down all of my adoptive mother's photos along with mine and replaced them with her family photos. Even though she was a christian woman, she was evil to the core. She threatened to wash my mouth with soap cuz of my language, never has my language been bad in the family. Then she would yell at me for telling her kids to leave my room, those times I was changing and her kids wouldn't even knock. It was horrible."

"We'll don't we all have a foul language and siblings that don't knock." He explained, "My little sister came into my room when I didn't have my boxers on. She asked why did I have something hanging down there that she didn't have. Worst case scenario and I know how you feel."

"Well at least she opened your door by accident. Those kids planned everything, they would open my door every day when I would change. I even caught one of her kids masterbating by my door. Disgusting!" I said

"Then how about getting a.."

"Lock? I've tried and he would say no." I explained. "Plus she confiscated all my games from 007 to Call of Duty. They were too violent for kids and called them the devils games. My posters were also torn down from my walls."

"Wow," he said, "What a bitch.."

"Yeah and most of all he broke the new adoption law," I said swimming a bit faster. "To tell your child at the age of 16 that they were adopted. But that's in the past now and I have a new family here. I might not know a lot about my parents now but I feel more comfortable here than with the Lee Family."

"You're parents have missed you," he said as he cupped my hands in his. "I've missed you." Kissing my forehead, I blushed.

"Thanks" was all I could manage and continued, "Now for my likes… I would say I like coffee, zombie games, sweets, Arby's French dip, pizza, the internet, all kinds of music except classical, cooking, dragons, werewolves.. lets see, what else?"

"You like werewolves?" He exclaimed. "Do you know how vicious they are?"

"Yeah but it's not like they're real, right?" I asked making him look away. "No way?! They're real?"

"Yes but they aren't as cute as you imagine them. My father had to make a peace treaty with them and since I'm the oldest I had to go with him. Nasty fellows."

"Well I'd like to meet them." I said smiling a bit, "The are awesome creatures too and knowing them they might be misunderstood. Just like our meat eating friends down here."

"No Stingrays are misunderstood." He explained, "Sharks on the other hand have been vicious from the start. No matter what we do they still attack us and the humans."

"Well then I guess i might never know if I see one." I smiled

"You're not planning on.." I gasped

"Oh yes.." I said. "I'm going to go see one." I said as my stomach rumbled. "But first lets get to the dining room I'm hungry
