Prologue


The phone rang, piercing the quiet of the small room. Neil picked it up and put it to his ear. A robotic, toneless voice spoke. "You have been emailed some instructions. If you follow them, there will be reward". "Hello? Who is this?" Asked Neil, but the mystery caller had hung up. He opened the email application on his phone and began to read.

The figure was wearing black, head to toe. He was wearing black tracksuit bottoms, and a plain black hoodie, with the hood up. He was wielding a katana and practising moves on the air. A tinny ringtone pierced the quiet. He put the phone to his ear and listened, still swinging the katana, one-handed. He listened for a while, still saying nothing, and then put the phone back in his pocket. He put the katana into a scabbard on his back and grabbed a small rucksack.

"And now, Andrew, you shall prove your awesomeness!" said the programmer. He hit a button on his keyboard, and a series of error messages cascaded down the screen. He sighed and scrolled through them, and then something caught his eye. There was a message within the error message:

Andrew slowly read the badly disguised message. Then he checked his email.
