The Shed

Prologue

I, Olivia, cannot be tripped. Not by feet, not by events…I will not be stopped by them. This event was different, an event that I shall remember for the rest of my life. Even so, I shall not be tripped. Not even if death is the consequence, I shall not be tripped. I don't mind being tripped, but nothing has the ability to trip me. So what is this event that I can and will remember but won't be tripped by, it started when we all got locked in a wooden shed… There was Victoria, Eva, Jasmine, Rachel, Caroline, Rebecca, Sharon, Alex, Benjamin, Paul, KT, Xavier, Walter, Edward, the two Florises and I. None of them will ever trip me.

Chapter One

So you may be wondering why on this day, this group of 18 students; seventh and eighth grade decided to take a pilgrimage to a wooden shack. This wasn't intentional. It all started during a dare over Skype during the Chinese New Year holiday. Someone had dared all of them to go to the wooden shack, not far from their school. This day, all of them agreed to go to the wooden shed together. They heard that the wooden shed was abandoned because the owner of the shed got murdered.

Yes, the scene may even alarm you. Quite a view it is. Truthfully it wasn't that bad. It was more illuminated than you would have thought. Lamps were on the tables and desks. Not that creepy, even at night. It was rather peaceful until the place blacked out. People got knocked out before a mysterious force washed over. People got confused, but Jasmine, scared as ever, went to reach the exits and leave the place but the door was locked. There weren't any windows so getting out was rendered impossible. The night arrived faster than anyone expected. They all thought that they should go to sleep. In the morning, they found Jasmine's dead body.

Set carefully on the ground, it's almost as if she was sleeping. If it weren't for the deep, rose-colored line on her body and bed of crimson, people would have thought that she was sleeping. Her body was resting peacefully but her eyes remained open in shock, wide as pizzas. No, mind you; wider than pizzas. As if she couldn't believe what was happening. As if she didn't believe that she would have been killed.

Well, one shouldn't have thought that they would be killed but it almost seemed as if the murderer was someone more softly, that she didn't expect that out of all people, that particular person would murder her.

Everything was normal about her besides her dangling limbs off the small desk. They were bloody. Jasmine owned the blood. Some of the blood started to get stale like paint, creaking off of an old wall. The blood got slightly purple too, for oxygen started to leak out of her, just like her life was when she received the fatal blow. Maybe it's fate that she would die here. Maybe we shouldn't trust fate. Who knows?

It was Victoria that stood up out of all the people; she knew that this required the group to stay together. Otherwise, this would never get solved and all of them would get murdered here.

"Listen everyone!" Victoria shouted making sure there wasn't the slightest attention that was off her until she was content with the concentration as she continued.

"We will probably be stuck inside here for a while. The cluster you guys are in won't help with the situation we are in!"

The others all nodded and agreed to work together. Floris found something as he was examining the body. The cut, what they first thought was knife could only be done with claws. This could be told by the zigzagged, rough outline of the wound. You could also tell that it started as a jab until it started to slice. The wound start deep-rooted until it got shallower and the cut seemed more graceful.

Only blood-sucking monsters or the undead had claws of such brute force. Everyone thought that the fatal wound was the life drawing jab and cut until the team of people found new progress. There were blemishes from strangling near the neck. One could imagine the once normal colored skin turning a light pink, to vermillion until it got indigo. A butcher did it in order to handle the knife with suck skill.

The amount of vigor put into the strangling. The single knock would have cracked the spine of the victim left defenseless. The bones would get twisted like hinges on the door, except rusty, creaking as it got twisted out of shape. It kept on moving this way until it was brutally pulled out of place, dislocating the joint. Looks more like the work of multiple people.

Even when in Beijing, the people thought as if they heard a wolf's cry in the background. It was signaling the doom of the group. It seemed as if they could communicate through telepathy. The room was silent but their networks of conversations were far from silent.

It became far from a dare. It became a murder. It just happened to be them that were going to all die here. Seconds, minutes or hours passed. They didn't know how long passed but for all they knew, for that length of time, they were in extreme shock. They sort of got over the shock of death and now they were in shock with how she died but after the time, they were simply mourning… mourning for the death of a friend although they aren't really safe at all because they were still locked in. Somebody had checked. They have something else to worry about right now, their own safety.

Late at night, when they thought that they thought they were sleeping peacefully with three people taking guard at a time, an evil force still washed over them, fighting their human soul, draining life from it slowly.

2: Blood Sucking Monsters
Blood Sucking Monsters

The next day, after a dream of horrible things, people decide it's appropriate to look through the fridge although they were sure that the food would enter their mouths but come out the same way except in a blob of acid. The disgust was great in one's stomach, sinking to the very bottom of their minds too. Lead was in their stomachs, filling their desire to eat, sinking it in the process. They still had the aftertaste of metallic feeling in their mouths, reminding them of blood.

Although everyone knew it, none of them was daring enough to point out the truth. Some acted their normal hyper self, some prayed, and some were almost driven crazy. They thought they had gone crazy. They thought they were imagining things. The people were crazy now. Some people became isolated. Everyone was stuck in one room but their minds were islands in the Pacific Ocean.

Of course, there were the obnoxious people that think it was just something she deserved for something she had done. Not everyone was convinced but no one thought they needed to take action.

Breakfast was still breakfast. They had to still eat. They all shrunk in their seats from fear. Victoria decided to break the silence.

"Wow, fast paced for one day."

"Yeah, I know." It was Eva who replied.

"I've always been wondering ever since the murder, who would have wanted to kill Jasmine?"

"Same here, but I don't want to think about it. I still don't want to believe it's true. I have to survive! I still have to get married to Justin Bieber!" Eva screeched in a fan-girl voice, pitch getting higher towards the end.

"Well then!" Caroline butted in.

"You guys remind me so much of my friend except she would be talking about Harry Styles or some other One Direction person" Rebecca joined the distracted topic.

"No! One Direction belongs to me!" Victoria claimed the spotlight again.

"WHO CARES ABOUT ONE DIRECTION? I WONDER IF IT'S E-J DOING THIS? OH MY GOD! DEATH THE KID IS SO HOT!" (I don't own EJ, 1D, JB or Soul Eater)

"NO! ONE DIRECTION IS BETTER!"

"Okay now, back on topic!" Walter broke the chatter of endless lines that completely led to nothing.

"Okay, so we all think that she was killed a different way," Victoria started.

"Yeah, but which one is the actual one?" Walter continued.

"I don't think any of us has the strength to make such a strong cut." Floris stated, giving the crowd a 'don't stare at me' look and the crowd returned a 'no duh Sherlock' look and a rolling of their eyes.

"Poor Flo-flo." Edward mocked.

"You know what, you should shut up!" Floris countered.

"I think it was done by many people killed her." Victoria got the group back on track.

"No, for some reason I feel everyone is the killer except one or two people…" Edward stated.

"No way!" KT exclaimed and continued after a pause, "Why would any of us do anything like this?"

Everyone's head nodded in agreement. They talked about the death but it only made them sick in their core. The awkward discussion quickly ended after discussing who it could possibly be although most of the conversation was filled with distractions of anime, creepy pasta, Justin Bieber and One Direction. Someone that really hated her came from some of them. Some believed it was a serial killer but pessimists thought that it was one of them and he or she will kill everyone. Optimists will remain as what they are and think she died of sickness and that they would be soon released. Then denial happened, some people thought she didn't die yet.

Pessimists or optimists, they're stuck together in this hoosegow of aloofness. This was nowhere near a pleasant place to spend the holidays. It was hopeless though, they've told their parents they'd be away for the rest of the holiday. Then, there was a major breakout. People have been talking about this urban legend that there were monsters appearing and demon hunters that were there to kill the monsters. Maybe Jasmine was thought of as a dangerous, blood-sucking monster that killed people in their dreams.

"You know, it could be demon hunters." Rebecca blurted out of a sudden.

"What?" Sharon, her friend asked.

"Yeah, I've heard lately that because there are way too many creepy pastas and people that are scared of them or hate them, people who claim themselves to be demon hunters are there for people who think that there are creepy pastas hanging around their houses." Rebecca answered as if she was totally sane for thinking of such a strange idea.

What made the situation interesting was that it didn't take a long time for the majority of the people to believe in what Rebecca had said. Then Paul excused himself saying he had to go to the bathroom.

"For some reason I don't think I'm the only one that turned into a creature of some sort." Rachel stated.

"I can't believe someone actually had the guts to blurt something like this out. Now that we mention it, where's Xavier?" Victoria sounded surprised.

"I'm here!" Xavier shouted as loud as he could until the group turned half deaf but the group could still only see a faint outline of the short boy as he continued, "I think it's pretty obvious what I am!"

"Yep, I'm a vampire. I can sense bloody lycanthropes in here." Victoria started.

Eva was next, "what? I'm confused, I'm perfectly human!"

Olivia, Amy and Floris's head nodded in agreement.

"Any fellow Vamps?" Rebecca asked. Three hands shot up, belonging to Rachel, Victoria and KT.

"What? Oh, I'm a Werewolf." Walter said. People also raised their hands at this. The hands that were raised belonged to Caroline and Benjamin.

"Some people didn't raise their hands! Alex?" Amy stated.

"I'm a human." Alex stated rather bluntly.

"I'm an ice mage! Awesome right?" Sharon asked. There were some eyes of jealousy.

Floris butted in nosily, "You know, I can tame animals easily for some reason."

"I'm a freaking incubus!" Edward exclaimed angrily.

"Indeed." The only reply came from Caroline: the others were in shock.

"That shows that Edward couldn't have killed her, he would have raped her instead." Victoria mocked Edward. In the background, you could hear Edward yelling a ferocious...

"Shut up!"

"I'm pretty sure it was one of the guards. Jasmine went to the bathroom. Who went with her?" Victoria asked.

"Paul." A reply came from Walter.

"Well that means that Paul is on the line of being the most possible murderer" Victoria stated before continuing "but we still can't be sure either could have happened." Victoria summed it up.

Interrogation

Chapter Three

"If anyone would have done it, I think its Paul. Think about it, he hasn't said to anyone what he is, of he thinks the conversation is going somewhere, he just finds a way to avoid it." Edward arrogantly started. "As I have said, this is possible but we still don't have any proof of the what so ever" Victoria started, "but my suspicion is also on Paul" she finished the job of putting aside the train of words brought to you by Edward. Paul on the other hand, had heard all this he hoped that he would be trusted but it seemed like more and more people are trying to put the blame on him for something that he didn't do... But it was not that simple... One day after lunch, Victoria found the group no longer easy to handle so she pushed it off to Eva. "Come on! You know what, I can not be bothered anymore!" Eva just sort of ignored this request. Voice was rising and Victoria's pressure was rising. She had to deal with a lot their monstrous problems. Really, there was some raw meat and other foods in the refrigerator. People would cut their palm open for a sacrifice or something for vampires. This rotation for the vampires wasn't hard but the biggest of her problems was Edward the incubus and no. Besides the people here, she had no young girls to give and sacrifice for Edward. Of course she wouldn't be sacrificing virginity for someone who wasn't that high on her list of priorities.

For some reason, leadership was also pushed on Victoria but anger spread through the crowd. Blame and suspicion floated around but everyone's primary suspicion remained as the original. Of course, a few side suspects still remained. Most of them were werewolves or vampires. As Victoria has said though, it wouldn't be Edward. He had no extra strength. Not enough to kill so many people.

"I think we should really lay this out now or someone will get murdered. We should really confront Paul" Amy had said one day.

"That leaves me no choice then," Victoria had claimed "but we need to make sure that everyone agrees."

"I don't feel that it was Paul…" Edward said.

"Hello? This was the impatient person that wanted to completely lay the blame on Paul!" Victoria pulled her ace up her sleeve into ultimately pissing off Edward.

"You do not want to get on my nerves!" Edward said, putting short pauses between the first four words.

"Or what? Rape me?" Victoria mocked, pulling strings.

"Shut up! It wasn't my choice to become an incubus." Edward rebutted.

"That's just what you get for being the pervert you are everyday. You deserved it!"

"Well then!" Of course, only Caroline would say this under an awkward situation, somewhat completely oblivious.

"Okay, I give up!" Edward finally stated what Victoria was hoping for but he still continued despite the fact that he knew Victoria won't want to listen after she got, "but I still think that we should confront Paul… I'm still mad at him."

Victoria thought that it was also a good thing to do. People were starting to becoming more and more mentally insane. Some just punched the closest person, some decided to blame themselves. They had to blame something or someone though. Victoria decided it was time to trial Paul.

Victoria once rounded everyone together including Paul with only Edward, Caroline, Amy and her knowing the events that were going to occur. It took him by complete surprise. Most of the group was too but eventually recovered. Victoria just asked Paul a simple question.

"Do you know about what a large amount of the group think?"

"Yes" came the simple reply.

"Did you do it?"

"No."

"Do you have any evidence of not doing so?" … It was a classical trial.

"No."

"Then how can I be sure?"

"Fine! Go ask Jasmine's dead body. You little pieces of sh-"

"I'm not a piece a shit!" Victoria rebelled to Paul's thoughts but she continued, "Fine, how many of you think that Paul did it?" Everyone raised their hands besides some of his friends, naming KT and Xavier.

"KT… most people think that Paul did it… to show you how suspicious he is, you must be the one to kill him." Edward's now slightly cruel voice piped up. All of the people in the room gathered around in a circle. Victoria went and looked for a good weapon to kill Paul with. In the kitchen, she found a butcher's knife. With KT's vampire super strength, he should be able to a not yet transformed werewolf.

KT hesitantly brought the knife down onto Paul but although with super strength, he only did so much damage but then Paul gave him a look to go on and end it, he brought the knife down hard and fast. The final blow had struck Paul on his neck. So hard that half his head fell off. Most of the humans stayed away but vampires wanted to drink. Victoria had stopped that though being a vampire herself."

"Although he called me a piece of shit, I still think he deserves a proper burial or something."

"Yeah, and we'll all want his blood on our fingers," Edward stated completely obviously just to mockingly revenge Victoria but he continued, "and we all know that Victoria would help because she's just the nicest person in this world!"

"Hey! I'm nice to you!" Victoria replied Angry at him.

"Then who was the person that tried to insult me?" Edward asked but at this time, Walter happened. The biggest event ever that could totally change the outcome.

"You incubus… be shameful of yourself." Walter said, faking a disappointed look that Edward easily saw through but still got angry.

"Right… THIS GUY!" Edward exclaimed somewhat contrary to the expression most people expected him to have after being insulted, to answer his previous question. At this, some planted their hand onto their forehead, some laughed, some breathed out of plain exasperation. Of course, Caroline knew the only way to get out of this situation.

"Well then!

4: Seconds
Seconds

Of course though, no one was in the mood to eat anything else by this stage. Then again, our very ignorant character Edward still can't get the message. So, as his normal arrogant self, he kept on asking for food. Of course, he mentioned the fact that he must have food and the rest didn't really need it. And, as a typical night, they all fell asleep. Floris went for a walk. I meant the Dutch Floris. I meant Floris K. I meant Floris Kersemakers okay? Really, it wasn't much besides the fact that he went to a less crowded area. It wasn't a good night to go on a walk on though. The dark night disabled his ability to see that there were dark, stormy clouds or the full moon. After all, it is the cliché, universal symbol for a bad future. No, it wasn't a full moon night or a rainy night. Contrary, and totally unexpected, it was a fully polluted day like every other day in Beijing.

Really, unlike demon hunters or a blood sucking monster, his death wasn't extremely painful or out of surprise. Instead, the monster went down his mouth and grabbed his vocal chords and ripped them out. At first glance, Floris was shocked to an extreme point. Out of all the people, why was it… Him?

Though shocked, the human's intuition showed and he fought back. Rats couldn't really fight well against fangs and claws. He got practically nowhere before he was killed. Or maybe some slight damage from some of the scary things that rats can do but still not that much damage done, everything was the same, almost flawless besides that this time, he was sucked dry. His blood was nowhere to be found.

Morning came for everyone else though. Life is like that, open and close you're eyes, a day can just pass by. Not for Floris, his eyes never opened to see the sunlight. The rest carried on. Abandonment was a way to describe life and death. It can give someone a new life or destroy someone's life. It's close to the most powerful thing in this world. Or, you could say that it is.

Next morning, things carried on normally until ten o'clock in the morning. Everyone was wondering where Floris went. They sort of changed their cheerful topic in something like a minute to a very depressing and paranoid murmur.

"Hey, where did Flo-flo go?" Edward asked suddenly.

"You mean the other Floris?" Caroline asked back.

"I'm not blind Carol, I can tell that this Floris is here" Edward rebutted her words with his sarcastic words but continued with a mocking "but maybe you are. I'll keep that in mind."

"You're kidding me…" Victoria whispered as she charged out. Looking about the rooms to look for the said person but Victoria knew what she found was going to be just a corpse.

When she actually found it, some people had caught up with her. Really, by then, none of them were surprised by the outcome. The first thing they did before they even bothered before catching up with Victoria was to have a short mourning. They started the investigation.

"Before he died, he used his strength to earn himself a slightly longer live. He had fought him for around five minutes. How could we not have heard him?" Edward for once started blaming himself. This is probably the first time anyone here has heard him say sorry.

"The bigger question is how did he die? There's no blood at all."

"There are bite marks on his neck. That means that he was sucked dry. Probably the terrible deed of a vampire."

"That means… the murderer is one of us."

"I…have never heard someone actually put that out straight yet. I mean we all know that it's true."

"You know, if the person was able to crush Floris so brutally, it has to be a guy, I don't think any girl here can kill him so fast. Especially when he has the ability to get animals to help him. From the look of it, there were lots of rats. Yeah, there were a lot, swarming crowds of them." Victoria concluded. The day did pass by fast though. They didn't do much of wandering and being lost in thought before it was late night.

Olivia couldn't sleep though. She decided to take a little more time wandering but in the darkness, she saw a figure walking towards her. She was about to scream out but she realized that the figure belonged to someone close to harmless. It was only Alex and he was a human right?

"You can't sleep either? You want to talk a bit, I mean, it's a good way to kill time right?"

"Sure…"

"We should go to a sound proof room where no one can disturb us."

"No, I think this place is good enough."

"This is scary, I never thought I would get myself into such a big problem."

"I know, but like this can't really be happening right? I mean the people that were killed weren't too close to me."

"What if the next victim is one of us?"

"Don't think like that, I promise you, you won't get killed. Why would you be one of the victims anyways?" Alex concluded as Olivia just smiled but a smirk appeared on Alex's face. The smirk quickly disappeared as quickly as it came and changed into a warm smile.

5: Murderers are Merciless
Murderers are Merciless

Though the first half of the night was peaceful, the second disturbed Olivia's peaceful sleep and she got bored again. Seeing that Alex was still asleep, she thought twice about disturbing him and went to take a drink by herself. When she walked, she was consistently worried about traps under the wooden floors or secret doors appearing. She pinched herself for watching Cabin In the Woods that Kimberly told her to watch and believing it. She did fall asleep during the movie though.

When she walked down into the kitchen of the broken outbuilding that was very big. So big that you could get lost in the labyrinth of turning pathways that led into car repair rooms to bedrooms to experiment labs. It used to be the house of a boss of a care repairing company. That made her even more scared of secret compartments and zombies springing upon her.

Then Alex's words of comfort rang through her head, bringing her to an utter point of confusion and simply confusion. So confused that her mind did not allow any other thoughts get into her mind, to the point that she had to sit down against the wall in order to not fall down. A battle cry rang from far away, close to her destination. Standing in the kitchen was a tall figure, too tall to be anyone other than a bloody murderer or KT. Yes, the figure belonged to KT. Olivia instinctively backed off a few meters.

"No, please, don't kill me." Olivia was on the urge to kneel down again when she realized that KT wasn't even trying to do so.

"That's not what I was planning to do, I also got attacked." KT neared her, pulled her up and settled her onto a chair as he explained briefly what had happened to him.

"So, I was coming to get a drink right? I went down to the kitchen and this person tried to stab me with a steak onto my heart. The person missed by a bit and stabbed me close to the stomach. See?" It was clear, there was a wound on his ribcage, only slightly below where the heart would be but KT seemed to still have words to say "but when he went behind me and I turned around, he just disappeared, I swear! I think you should go back to a place where more people are. I know I'm getting out of here!"

Olivia nodded in agreement, she certainly didn't want to waste time and try to get killed here because she was too stubborn to listen to what KT had to say. She turned around and ran. Not long, KT also caught up with her and they ran together. When they were close to their different goal, she felt a bite on her shoulder, she stood there, shocked as a hand went into her back and pulled out her heart, mouth still draining blood until she finally lost all consciousness and fell to the ground.

Alex woke up to find that Olivia was no longer next to him. Wondering where she was, Alex sat half up, having a daydream of his own. She might have just gone to get a drink of water. He thought about looking for her when he remembered that he shouldn't. What if she comes back to find that he isn't here? What if she thinks that he got killed?

The darkness that surrounded him at the moment was no doubt scary. It was a black hole. He felt that he was going to get dragged down into it's void any minute. He had kept so many secrets, if he was going to get killed, he would at least tell his killer all the secrets that he has held back. Then, he changed his topic and let his mind wander until he felt that Olivia had left for a bit too long. He really started to get worried but he still waited, thinking of the consequences of going to find her.

He thought about it but he decided to look for her anyways, it was nice to walk around every once in a while. He walked along the grassy surroundings of the house filled with chambers that had surprisingly smooth moving doors. He kept on walking until he stumbled upon what seemed like a lump on the ground. Bending and taking a closer look, Alex jumped when he realized that it was none other than Olivia.

Scanning every centimeter of her to find any signs of how she was killed, Alex found two bite marks on Olivia. The bite marks could only belong to a vampire, a werewolf's bite mark would be much more rough than that. Then, time seems to slow down, first came a shout and then time sped up. Everyone looked as if they came to the place in an instant.

"Who did this?" Victoria questioned. She was almost certain that it was someone here by now. Alex had already supported her with the fact that it was a vampire. Victoria seemed slightly disappointed that it was one of her fellow vampires.

"How can you be sure that it wasn't you? You were also on of them vampires!" Edward replied to Victoria in his slang language, he was also slightly suspicious. They continued their little argument for a while, mainly Victoria scolding him to not to abuse his status as an incubus. Edward constantly using his normal dirty, perverted talk, making his sounds like a beggar for a while.

"Maybe you raped her and she got upset and killed herself. Then, a vampire found her and sucked her dry!" Victoria said but then she remembered what Alex had said, what happened between them the night. It was disturbing at first and she desperately wanted to punch Alex for telling her about it. Then, she considered that he must be even more upset about it and so she decided to keep her mouth shut for now. She knew that she would get back at him. Her train of thought was disturbed by Edward wanting to argue back with something about her worsening leadership but his already started words were disturbed by KT's voice.

6: A Twisted Confession
A Twisted Confession

"I did it." A voice rang through the seemingly empty hallway as thirteen heads spun at different degrees to look at the source of the voice. There, KT stood, head bowed down as they could see a clear hole in his shirt. Some of the faces looked shocked, some in pure horror but some just looked at him and looked at the dead body, finding a connection between the two.

As it happened, Alex's sad expression turned into a surprised expression but it eventually became simply of blame. Every part of his now watery eyes wanted to punch KT in the face but Victoria beat him to it. It did not lift the expression off of his face.

"Why the hell did you kill Jasmine you shit?" Angry, fast, furious. That was the spirit! Yes, continue to get him angry. It failed as if it were wind drifting past his ear. Selective hearing allowed him to completely ignore it. He just replied at ease.

"Who told you that I killed Jasmine?" Good KT, that's how it's done, make her mad and get her hooked so you can actually start explaining. He continued his speech, standing with one foot set on a chair, kind of like the statue of liberty except his posture wasn't half as proud, nor did he have a torch in his hand; "I killed Olivia. Not Jasmine, not Floris. Really, I only killed her to avenge Paul. You guys killed him for something he didn't do. Of course, I can't bring him back to life so it would only be fair if I killed someone for him… So that his death wasn't for nothing. But I did not kill Jasmine or Floris. I planned on killing someone a bit later than Paul's death but it seems that someone beat me to it." KT painfully chuckled as he charged towards a wall and his head pointed forward. It didn't kill him. He grabbed a steak and stabbed it towards his chest, eventually ending his life.

"I have nothing to hide anymore. I'm not human." Suddenly, Alex had admitted one day out of nowhere. "I'm a legendary goat sucker that can drain people dry. Not even vampires have the ability do so without getting sick. I'm becoming crazy and out of control increasingly nowadays though." Alex, without another word had left the group.

Deep down, Victoria had growing suspicions for him. She knew that sooner or later, his original form should appear. She couldn't be certain; she didn't want someone else like KT. If you thought about it, Alex wasn't the first person on her list of suspicions people, nor did she have plenty of evidence. For some reason, undying suspicion remained in her heart, pushing him higher and higher on her blacklist.

It was no surprise that Edward was on the top of her blacklist. All along, he had been blaming other people for the deed. I couldn't eliminate his suspicion either now. He's been using the fact that he's an incubus. Victoria just couldn't stop herself from hating that pervert. No one can besides his arrogant self.

Victoria had started to search for clues. The three crime scenes have been still kept as they were. They didn't have the technology to search for finger or footprints. Victoria simply searched for possible things to prove something. No luck so far. All she got to find was a chipped nail. Victoria kept it anyways in case there was a major clue in this piece of material that felt like plastic.

But now to think of it, with only one person, it wouldn't be hard to sneak past the guard and hide so that you'd pass Paul's perspective. Anyone could have done it. Victoria couldn't take away the possibility of a suicide either. Really, there was a small wooden corridor with a sharp turn that had some furniture in the corridor, touching the walls. If someone hid behind them, no one would notice since people don't look at the wall when walking along a dark corridor. To test her theory, she decided to get two other people to do the test.

That night, she first called the Floris that remained alive to hide behind the furniture and not come out until she told her to do so. Walter was the other guard that day so Victoria got him to participate in what she could now call a lab experiment. She painfully chuckled at the thought of all her friends alive. Walter started from the lighted side of the corridor and walked into the darkness but when he passed the wardrobe, his vision had floated past Floris. He was unidentified. Victoria told Floris that he could come out now. When the truth was revealed, Walter just laughed and acknowledged the fact that he was tricked.

Everyone was laughing besides Victoria. She should be happy that she made such progress but the laughter just reminded her of the past with Jasmine alive and being a friend of hers. Victoria walked slightly towards a crack in the ceiling big enough to stare at the polluted sky directly above them. She lay on the hay that would have been pillows if it were the world she lived in before. Now, she became more used to it and Victoria thought that the hay was okay. It wasn't so different from pillows. She had begun to accept and merge into this world. Victoria looked over her shoulder to see the door that had brought her into living hell. She didn't hate it anymore. She felt like it also brought her some benefits.

7: The Most Bloody Scene
The Most Bloody Scene

That night was surprisingly warm for an early March night. Not one of them had the feeling before where they found the nights too cold for sleep. That night they all decided to gather. Victoria didn't pay attention. She couldn't. She noticed something on Alex that was this time only; far more important than Harry Styles or Justin Bieber. She took a deep breath and admitted to the shocking truth but she just let her mind continue to wander.

It was a big deal; it could prove him guilty and create someone's innocence. She didn't have enough evidence yet. She thought that he had always made a good suspect but Victoria never found any piece of evidence against him. Even if she did, the evidence was too vague to point directly at Alex. Now she did but she was still hesitant to say it because she remembered Paul. She didn't want the same tragedy to become repeated.

She made note in her mind that although she thought so, she hadn't completely taken the events away from her mind. She still seemed depressed about the event. She had a desperate need to move on from all that had happened so she had denied it but now she was simply bargaining. Or she was simply in awe. She couldn't point to what it was but the event in general had made her a complete different person from before. Not personality wise, she held the same personality but she now had witnessed far more than the person before. She couldn't move on from the tragedy. She thought it wasn't the death of a friend but she couldn't point exactly to where.

For once in her life, Victoria wanted to think of something but she couldn't think of any topic to think of. She just couldn't form any words in her mind. The situation had been so much similar to how she couldn't form words to confront Alex or the class about it. She sat there, answering a question she asked a long time ago. Why did life have to be so complicated? Life as we know it isn't complicated. Us human beings try our best to make it far more complicated than it actually is. On the other side, Victoria could not understand this concept.

She didn't have an answer so she decided to turn back to the clues that she had found which led to this train of thought. It was interesting to see how Alex was acting perfectly normal. The irony had confused her to a deeper point. She was a lot better than a majority though; she was the only one that had noticed yet. Just a bite mark and a chipped nail had proved everything.

"Alex, you were the killer right?" Victoria asked out of nowhere, took him by surprise but Victoria had already prepared for it. Though Alex was taken by surprised, he just nodded calmly and nothing else. The other people were more taken aback than Alex was. Not the kind of reaction Victoria hoped for but it was still good enough.

Edward the freaking incubus didn't look surprised; he had the feeling that something was going to happen using his skills of a self-proclaimed incubus sense. Victoria was on the urge of demanding an explanation but Alex did so without her asking to.

"I killed Jasmine and I killed Floris."

"Why?"

"Simply because I'm not human. If I could control myself, I wouldn't have done it. I'd never planed on killing Olivia. Her death took me by surprise too. I don't do that. I only kill on nights when there's a half moon. There was no moon on the night Olivia was killed. I simply do not do that. I must make it clear though, I do regret every time I kill. I don't just choose anyone though; I choose whoever is the easiest to kill at the right time. I feel bad for picking on the weak but trying to control myself is even worse. Do you guys have any cruel ways to kill me?"

"Yes because you deserve it. You didn't just kill Jasmine and Floris. You killed too KT, Paul and Olivia. Without you, none of them would be dead."

"I have one. Weasel once taught me this tactic. Start by trying to pull off or cut off every one of your nails, then cut off fingers. Moving from hands to arms. Then, do the same with your toes. Then, cut off your nose, ears and pull out your eyes. Then just cut off your head if you're still alive."

"Ouch!" Someone in the background commented, standing out.

Alex, though hesitant, agreed to do so. He only grimaced at his nails being pulled out. He decided to not yet cut off his fingers yet, He'll do those last. He started the trip to hell by cutting off his toes. Some blood started to leak out but it eventually turned into a fountain. His feet went next. By that point, he was extremely weak from blood loss but he stayed awake but due to the blood loss, he started to slip into unconsciousness. Next, he got his ears and nose pulled out, not loosing much blood. Getting his eyes popped out of his face was the more painful part and the sudden loss of vision made him cry out in pain. He told them what it was like to be blind. The world wasn't blackness but simply non-existent. Then, he cut off one arm and someone cut of his other. Surprisingly, he was still at his last breath. A swift cut to the neck finished the job. It was a bloody, disgusting procedure yet the result was great.

The door seemed to let it easy on them, it opened and they were once again let into the outside world.
