Beginnings!

Beginnings!

It all started 20 years ago in the year 2013, in the hidden village of Genes. This town resided in the continent of Europe more specifically France. It was an unknown town that many people did know about, but there was a difference between the small town compared to the rest. Genes was a small location stuck between two dimensions where creatures of mythology and fairytales originate. Some look more human than others and are capable of communicating with mortals, with that ability they can live a fairly normal life on earth. Some humans rarely know about the other dimension known as Fabulae, only the few that are gifted may know. Genes was what humans call a meeting place, but for the mystical it’s more than that. One day, a very special girl’s life changed forever. She was like no other, her heart was pure like the laughter of an innocent child. She had the most radiant smile that matched every feature of her. Her long, wavy, light blue hair, her soft pale porcelain skin, her bright and kind green eyes. She was of average size for any eighteen year-old girl. She always wore bright colors just like the yellow sundress she was wearing. Everyone knew she was not whole, her heart was only half. It was full of kindness and pure good, no hate or bad exists in her heart. There are not many of her kind, they were either killed on sight or hidden away from the world. Genes kept her safe even though everyone knew what she was.

She was walking towards her favorite place in world: Starlight Summers Grande Library. It had almost every single thing you could ever imagine, which was perfect for her. The girl was a very bright woman, she was the top of her class in every class. She opened the door and strolled right in.

“Miira back so soon? You just came by two days ago.” A masculine voice said from behind. She turned to see her closest friend Toran. He had an unusual hair color: Magenta. His eyes were a soft cream color of pink. His skin was a pale color like Miira’s, he was the Librarian on the Library. He was a bookworm like her.

“Yes, I already finished the four books you recommended. They were very interesting by the way.” She responded, she gave a smile.

“I was just looking for more Fantasy books, you know how I love them so much.” She said, he nodded with a smile. They walked to the far end of the Library, the books of fantasies were also right next to the Magic Archive. The magic archive held some of the most powerful and dangerous items in all of the Realms. From cursed spell books to enchanted swords the Archive was heavily protected in case of emergencies. One book in particular was kept in the basement awaiting its rightful owner’s presence to become clear. Miira skimmed through all the books to find she read every single one.

The book that was sealed in the basement started to glow, it started shaking violently. The enchanted case it was in shattered into a million shards of crystal. The book glowed red, it disappeared out of thin air. Miira could not find any new books, out of the corner of her eye she saw something glow bright. She turned to see something shining in the near bookshelf. She walked towards it cautiously, she stared directly at the glowing book. She looked at the book in awe, she couldn’t help but feel drawn to it. When she reached out and touched it she felt a surge of energy go through her, she stumbled back in amazement. She quickly took the book out of the shelf and opened it. In the front page it had no name in it.

This book belongs to ______________.

It was empty, every page was blank. In the back of the she saw a hole shaped like a heart. The shape resembled her necklace, half gold and half crystal. She took it one hand and the book with the other, she looked at her necklace and back at the hole. She placed it in and nothing happened. She sighed in disappointment, she reached out and tried to take it out but it wouldn’t budge.

“That’s Odd.” She whispered, she touched it and the whole book started to glow once again. She immediately dropped it and stepped back, it floated in the air becoming brighter and brighter. It flipped to the first page, Miira’s name was now engraved in the book.

Miira Motus

The magical book closed itself and fell to the ground. With caution Miira picked up the book and went to the first page, it said: Elemental Keeper. She was confused by this, she was never a keeper nor was she part of a line of keepers. She started to read the second page.

Congratulations, you are destined to be the Elemental keeper of the Motus Family Bloodline. For generations the four families have been guarding the ancient books of the elements: Motus, Somnio, Crystallus, Amarus  and Coranatia, for generations the four keepers have been hidden away for their own safety you must find them before the Summer Solstice. Be warned, once the power of this book is sensed by the magical creatures and people you will no longer be safe. Quickly pack up your things and head to the tower of Sacrifice, Good Luck!

Sincerely, Unknown

She quickly closed the book in shock and fear, she made her way to the front desk.

“Toran, could I sign this book out?” Toran looked up to see the ancient book and gasped.

“Miira run as fast as you can with this book and don’t come back understand/ Run, okay?” He exclaimed, she was confused and scared at this point. She nodded her head and ran out of the library, she passed through the crowds and straight to her home. She ran up to her room and grabbed her life’s earnings that she saved up for travels and packed up some spare clothes. She stopped and looked around, she was sad that she was possibly going to never see her home again. She walked out of her house and to the entrance of the town, once she was on the outskirts of town. The book started glowing again and Miira realized she was still holding it, it flipped to a random page and showed a symbol of Ying-Yang. Instead it was blue and red, also it had two diamond shapes instead of circles.

Miira Motus, I am the book of light. One of the Elemental books. I am here to help you find the other five that poses the books of fire, water, earth, darkness and wind. The symbol is the necklace that the Element Keeper possesses. It is a key to your success, you may find this keeper in the Mirror World, where all dream and mirror Myths and Monsters stay. Be warned, you must keep it a secret that you are have a half-heart.

“Well I guess I should find a portal spell, but we didn’t learn that in class yet.” She said saddened, suddenly a full body mirror appeared showing not her reflection but a world that shimmered. Everything had its own reflection like a mirror was underneath. Miira gasped and stared at the portal, she smiled and jumped right in. She came out the other end and fell to the ground, she rubbed her head that was in pain and realized where she was, her eyes tripling in size.

“The Mirror Realm.” She gasped in amazement, she herself up but fell back down feeling a sharp pain in her ankle. She looked down to see a cut, she must’ve hurt herself when she fell.

“Hey are you okay?” A female voice asked, Miira looked up to see a girl with dark skin, long, straight black hair that reached her hips and blue eyes like the ocean. She was wearing a white steam punk Victorian lace top, blue high waist button shorts and Black Lace up boots. She had a concerned look on her face, she helped Miira get up and help her walk.

“Come on we can take care of that wound at my house.” She said, heading to a fairly big house but it was smaller than a mansion. They got in the front door and went upstairs to her room. It was split in half, one side was blue and the other was red. Two beds were on either side, she lay Miira on the blue bed.

“I’ll be right back, oh I almost forgot. What’s your name?” she asked, Miira looked up with a smile and said,

“My name is Miira. I’m sorry for asking but why are there two beds?” She replied.

“I’m Victoria, I’ll explain after I come back. Don’t go anywhere.” She said walking into another door. It was silent until the bedroom door slammed open, Miira jumped at the sound and saw Victoria at the entrance. But she looked different, her eyes were red, her top was black, shorts red and she seemed more aggressive. Her eyes landed on Miira, pointing to her with an angry expression.

“Who the hell are you?” she said, Miira flinched and gulped.

“W-we just met a few minutes ago remember? Miira?” she said shakily, the sound of footsteps was heard and they both turned to see the Victoria from before standing with a first-aid.

“Renee what’s going on?” Victoria asked the girl in red named Renee, they both looked back at Miira.

“I just came in and saw this girl in our room.” She explained, Victoria just laughed.

“Oh that’s Miira, she was injured so I brought her here so I could fix her up.” Victoria said pointing to Miira’s ankle.

“Oh I see, you two are twins. I’m sorry if I caused you any trouble.” Miira said, Victoria just her head.

“No it’s fine. I do this all the time. Renee’s just a hot-head.” She reassured her, Renee glared at Victoria at the comment. She grabbed her iPhone and Headphones and put them on. She started playing a song full blast and sang along to it. Victoria knelt down and started to work on Miira’s ankle.

Voices I play within my head, touch my own skin and hope that I’ll still be there

“Oh, are you listening to Lights?” Victoria asked, Renee nodded.

And I think back to when my brother and my sister slept, in an unlocked place the only time I feel safe.

“Wow, you two are amazing singers.” Miira said happily, Victoria smiled brightly. She finished wrapping Miira’s leg in bandages and closed the kit. As she was bending down Miira saw something shine around Victoria’s neck.

“What is that around your neck?” She asked catching the attention of both the twins.

“Oh it’s a necklace I’ve had ever since I was a baby, it’s only half of a ying-yang. Renee has the other half.” She said pulling out the charm and showing to her, Renee did the same. Victoria’s is made of Blue topaz and a Ruby star, Renee’s was the opposite. Blue star and Red outside, Miira gasped at this as she remembered the symbol from the book.

“What’s wrong?” They asked together.

“Sorry for asking but, what are your full names?” she asked quickly, they looked at each other and nodded.

“Victoria Renee Somnio.”

“Renee Victoria Somnio.” At this point Miira was stunned at how quickly she found the next Keeper. But she didn’t know who the real one was, the necklace was split in half. She wouldn’t tell them because she thought they wouldn’t believe, another thought rushed through her mind. Where will she stay the night?

“Oh I must be going I need to find a place to stay tonight.” Miira announced standing up quickly but felt pain strike through her ankle. Victoria quickly sat her back down.

“Maybe you should stay here the night, I don’t think mom would mind.” Victoria said with a smile.

“Mom wouldn’t mind what?” A voice said from the doorway, they all turned to see a dark skinned teenage boy with short black hair and two different eye colors: Gold and Red.

“Mind your own damn business Olivier. A friend is just staying the night. Get out!” Renee said, Olivier just shrugged and left.

“Who was that?” Miira asked, they both groaned in annoyance.

“Our older brother, Olivier. He is so annoying and a total jerk.” Victoria said, walking towards a closet and pulling out crutches. She handed them to Miira and helped her up.

“Come on it’s time for dinner.” She said walking out with the other two, when they got to the dining room they saw a woman with shoulder-length hair. She had one eye green and another blue, she was wearing a blue Victorian dress. A little boy was there also, he had spiky hair and pink and purple eyes. The woman looked up at us and smiled.

“Victoria, Renee, is this a friend of yours?” she asked, they nodded.

“She needs a place to stay tonight, is it okay if she stays in our room?” Victoria said, the woman nodded.

“Hello dear my name is Alexandra. I am their mother and he is their brother, Sebastian.” She said gesturing to the little boy, he waved and smiled.

“Hello I’m Miira Motus, thank you for letting me stay here. I hope I’m not too much trouble.” Miira said bowing, Alexandra just chuckled and said,

“Think nothing of it dear, please come and join us.” She said happily, they all took a seat and started to eat. But something was bothering her, why were Victoria and Renee the only ones with the same color eyes.

“Darling is something wrong?” Alexandra asked, Miira started to look nervous.

“Oh u-um, I was just wondering. Why does everyone else have two different eye colors except for the twins?” Miira asked hesitantly, Alexandra smiled and set her silverware down.

“When I was in labor with the twins we were expecting them to have the mirror appearance. But instead they only have the mirror personality and not the appearance. They are two who were supposedly one. They are one of a kind. That’s why I gave them those charms, they have a lot of history.” She explained, the rest of the dinner was silent. Miira, Victoria and Renee went to their room. They all changed and went to sleep.

3:30 a.m

Everything was silent, everyone was fast asleep and unaware of what was going to occure. The girls were in the twins’ room, Miira in Victoria’s bed and the twins sharing Renee’s. Renee’s eyes snapped open, she sat up quickly and looked around the room. She felt Victoria moving in the bed, she looked down to see her sister with an angry expression.

“What is it?” she murmured angrily, Renee got out of bed and walked to the window.

“I heard footsteps, you know when I hear something I’m right.” Renee was correct, she had very heightened hearing. She can hear anything within a 50 mile radius, Victoria has the ability to see every single detail everywhere. She can spot people out of the corner of her eye even if their hiding.

“Let me see.” She said walking to the window as well, this woke Miira up.

“What’s wrong?” she asked looking at the two, Renee quickly shushed her.

“Wait a second.” Victoria murmured, her eyes widened when she saw someone in the shadows with a gun.

“Get down!” she yelled jumping over her bed and grabbing Miira in the process, Renee quickly followed suit and at the last second bullets came through the glass. They quickly got up and ran out of the room, they rushed towards Alexandra’s room and slammed the door open awakening her from her slumber.

“What’s going on?!” she exclaimed jumping out of her bed, the girls all fell to the ground at the eruption of an explosion.

“That’s what’s going on!” The twins answered, Alexandra rushed to the explosion and saw a hole in the clustered bedroom. A pale skinned teen with big spiky blue hair and neon yellow eyes stood there. He wore black shorts, DC shoes, muscle shirt, fingerless gloves and a leather jacket. He was holding a hammer, he looked at them with cold and emotionless eyes. He lifted the hammer and swung it at them, they all ducked and watched as the wall exploded as it made contact with the wall.

“Mom, if we make it out alive. Can I have that?” Renee asked with a smirk.

“Not the time, R!” Victoria yelled as she got up and ran with the rest of the girls. They all ran down the hall and looked back to see the yellow eyed teen chasing after them. Alexandra stopped, turned and stood her ground. The girls turned to the woman with scared expressions. Before they could say anything the teen dropped the hammer on her.

“MOM!!” The twins cried, all was silent as a smirk crept on the boy’s face but it soon disappeared as he felt his hammer lift. A blue field lifting the hammer, it surrounded Alexandra. She sent a burst of energy making the hammer fly. She stood back up wiping the dirt of her night gown. Suddenly a giant wave of water came from the kitchen and surrounded Alexandra.

“Girls, get your brothers and get out. I’ll take care of him.” She said calmly, they nodded and ran to Olivier’s room first. The teen pulled out a 45(that’s a gun.) and shot a bullet, a drop of water wrapped itself around and froze the bullet quickly.

“I don’t think so young man, you’ll have to go through me first.” She said with a smile but it soon switched to a serious expression.

“You trespass in my property and make a mess of things, bring a hammer down on me and worst of all. You try to kill my girls, and you believe you will be victorious?..... I think NOT!” she exclaimed throwing a blast of energy at him, he quickly dodged it and started shooting at her. She froze all of them and sent them back, he made a shield out of a dark substance to block it. He then sent it to Alexandra, surrounding her and tightening like a corset. She shut her eyes and started to slip out, she fell to the ground like a puddle but quickly regained her solid form. She sent three shards of Ice towards him, he swiftly bent down and caught one in between his fingers. Another near his neck and at the last second he grabbed the last one that was so close to piercing his heart. Alexandra sent pillars underneath him, he jumped high in the air and landed on the railing of the staircase. A shadow crept up behind Alexandra and started choking, she grabbed it and tore it apart. She looked to see he was gone, she felt a quick sting on her neck. She turned to see two shards coming at her, she quickly did a back flip and landed gracefully. She touched her neck to feel the mark, she smirked at this.

“You are quite skilled, please tell me my opponent’s name?” She asked, he took out a sword pointing it at her.

“Chronos, it’s a pleasure to fight such a powerful woman but I’m afraid your time will soon be up.” He had dark and firm voice, it could send shivers down your back. He charged at her and she quickly formed a sword.

At the beginning of the fight

The girls rushed down the hall and into Olivier’s room, he woke up startled and fell out of bed. They quickly walked up to him, and helped him.

“What the hell!” He yelled pushing them away, they started pushing and shoving him out of the room.

“We have to get out of the house!” Victoria exclaimed.

“And why is that?” They all stopped when they heard gun shots. “Oh, that’s why. I’ll go get Sebastian and you guys get out of the house.” He said running to another room, they nodded and ran down the stairs and out the door. They waited until they saw Olivier running out carrying Sebastian.

“Where’s mom?” He asked, the twins pointed at the house. He was about to run into the house until they pulled him back.

“Mom said to stay outside.” They said, he stared at the entrance waiting for someone to come out.

“They’re still fighting inside, I hope mom knows what she’s doing.” Renee said gritting her teeth.

“Has your mom always had this much power?” Miira asked.

“We don’t know, she claimed she had weak magic but I guess she lied.” Victoria explained, out of the corner of her eye she saw something fly towards them. It was the book of Light. It flew right in front of Miira opening up and a text appeared.

You must help the Guardian of Somnio, if she dies then they will never be able to obtain their elemental book.

Miira nodded at this and ran inside.

“Miira wait!” The twins followed after her into the house, she ran into the foyer to see Alexandra and Chronos fighting. She knew something was wrong, Alexandra looked like she was about to pass out.

“Miss Alexandra!” Miira yelled, running to help her. This distracted her and Alexandra got sliced in the side of her stomach, she fell and cried out in deep pain. She gripped onto the cut trying to stop it from bleeding out, Chronos was about to stab her and Miira was too far away.

“No!” She yelled and everything went into slow motion. A burst of light came and went, Miira had blocked the sword but not with her own body, but with a bright shield. Everyone was stunned, Miira was in so much shock that she passed out. Chronos shook of the recent installment and kicked her aside, Renee and Victoria quickly ran in front of them. Renee blocked her mother and Victoria blocked Miira.

“You hurt them and I’ll kill you!” Renee yelled angrily, Chronos laughed at this.

“What are you going to do. You have no fighting skills at all.” He said, Victoria quickly stood in front of her sister protectively.

“Why are you doing this anyways? We did nothing to you! Just-” she was cut off when Chronos slapped her making her fly, hitting the wall.

“Victoria!” Renee yelled, running at him. He elbowed her in the stomach, then kicked her. He kicked Victoria as well, they both cried in pain. Alexandra could do nothing but watch her daughters get hurt. Renee was not quite feeling sad and weak, she felt very angry. And the feeling was mutual. Chronos picked both up by the hair and they started to yell and scream in pain.

“Let goooo!! You Bastard! AAAHHHH!!” Renee yelled kicking and screaming, Victoria did the same.

“AAAAAHHHH!! LET GO NOW!!!” She yelled feeling her hair being ripped out. Chronos felt a burning sensation on one of his hands and he looked down to see Renee on fire and her eyes glowing. He quickly let her go and then felt something ice cold and looked to see Victoria covered in frost and her eyes glowing. He let go and stood back, they stayed on the ground for only a moment until they raised their hands and fire and water burst from them colliding and hitting him in the arm. He could feel all his senses awake now, screaming at the surge of power. He staggered back and tried to get up but he was soon trapped in a cage of ice, Renee smirked and walked towards him setting a circle of fire around him. She in and bent down to be inches away from his face.

“Let me show you some fighting skills.” She whispered to him before she started to crush his arm, he cried in pain but she only smirked at this. She let go and punched him in the gut, she stood up and did a lift kick. She pushed his chest knocking the wind out of him. While started to chuckle darkly until a puff of smoke spread through and snapped both the girls out of their power overload. They passed out, Olivier came running in seeing the mess.

“Mom has a lot of explaining to do.” He said gruffly.
