Prologue

A loud gong went through the Meeting Hall and everyone came to a lull.

"Silence!" Shouted Ryushin, the Head Commander and master of Eon Sayer in the Sayer World. "This is not up for discussion!"

"But Head Commander Ryushin Elemento, they know nothing about The Sayer World, Neither were they born here! Please reconsider!" murmured Yugi Yetsun, the captain (second in command) of the Second Sector of Eon Sayer. "My mind has been made up Yugi"

"But..."

Lea, Yugi's commander stepped forward."Yugi! That's enough! Know your place!"

Captain Yugi Yetsun bowed his head down in respect."Yes... My deepest apologies Head Commander"

" No harm done" replied Ryushin. "First Sector Commander Cayrin Rage, send two of your subordinates to retrieve the Shi kids"

"Understood sir. I will do so as soon as possible." Came Cayrin. "Any questions?" continued Ryushin.

Captain Kendo's hand shot into the air. "Yeah, I gotta Question... Will those kidz be joining any of the four Sectors?"

"They will not. We need Guardians to guard Gika City until I say otherwise. The Shi kids will not be permitted to stay in the Sayer World without my direct consent."

"Good t'know."

"Any other questions?" asked Ryushin but only silence came from the small crowd. "Then this elite meeting is adjourned."

The loud gong broke silence yet again, signaling everybody to leave.

"Think old age is getting to him." Whispered Sporin, commander of the Fourth Sector, to his subordinate captain, Ichima. "Y'know Commander, I was thinkin' the same thing." He Replied

The Shi kids: a brother and a sister living in Japan. A girl named Asami Shi and a boy named Mason Shi. Asami is 15 years old and has long black hair with ocean blue eyes and her older brother Mason, is 17. His hair is straight up and jet black. His eyes were brown. They live in Japan. They didn't know their father because he was a Guardian in the Sayer World, although Asami regularly dreamed about their father and prayed and wished to meet him one day. She was always jealous of other kids with dads and believed that their dad would return someday. The Shi kids knew nothing about the Sayer World's existence. Their mother, Lucinda, made sure to never tell them about the Sayer World or about their Father being a Guardian. Lucinda told her kids that their father was overseas, working. In reality their Father, Denderac Shi was assigned to protect Gika City all his life, because Gika City was one of the few cities without a protection barrier around it. Denderac Shi died recently on an unknown mission.

Mason and Asami both were half breeds. Half-human, half-guardian owing to their mother being a human.

Chapter 1 - Half-Blood Retrieval Mission

Chapter 1

Half-Blood Retrieval Mission

The entire Fourth Sector was gathered in their barracks. Their commander was in word. "I will send two of my subordinates to the world of the humans to retrieve Lucinda Shi's two children"

Lieutenant Colonel Rapidez walked forward. "Let me go, please commander. I'd be hon…"

"I'm sorry Rapidez but you have a high class meeting later today."

"Oh yeah… I forgot"

"I want this to be a quick mission, so I am going to send you two, Admiral Kasumi Suraki and your Vice Admiral, Retsun Legacy."They both agreed and set off in a flash of speed. "By the way Rapidez, congratulations on acing your final grading exam... How does it feel to be a Lieutenant Colonel?"

"Pretty good if I have to say so myself"

There are four sectors of guardians in the Sayer World, in Eon Sayer (The place where the 4 Sectors are located). Each Sector specialized in one of the main bendings. Sector One housed the calm air benders. Sector Two's line was the proud Water Benders. Sector Three stocked the swift Earth Benders and Sector Four had the aggressive Fire Benders. There were more bendings in the Sayer World but those four are the main four. Each sector has a lot of soldiers and they have 13 key ranks that only one person per squad can fill. These ranks are determined by the individuals' strength, power and skill. The weakest are the soldiers, and then comes the 13 ranks.

(From weak to strong [ruling order])

13th - Subordinate Officer

12th - Junior Officer

11th - Senior Officer

10th - General Officer

9th - Vice Admiral

8th - Admiral

7th - Second Lieutenant

6th - First Lieutenant

5th - Lieutenant Colonel

4th - Colonel

3rd - Co-Captain

2nd - Captain

1st – Commander

Rank 1, 2 and 3 are the Elites. 4, 5 and 6 are the high class while 7, 8 and 9 are the mid class. Rank 10, 11, 12 and 13 are the Officers or the lower class. The Head Commander Rules over all four sectors and has a guardsman/personal guard.

Gika City

Asami, Mason and Lucinda were sitting at the kitchen table having dinner. It was already dark out. A knock on the door were heard. Asami jumped up. "I'll get it mom." Asami made her way to the front door. "Who is iii - t!?" asked Asami while she was approaching the door. She opened the front door and was stunned to find two peculiar persons standing in front of her. A man and woman, both wearing a black Shihakusho and carrying sword hilts. The woman had smooth black hair with pink highlights and the man had a bit more messy, long black hair with a lasting scar on his left check.

"Er- Can I… Er- Help you?"

"I am Kasumi" said the woman.

"I'm Retsun" said the man.

"Who's at the door, Asami?" Came Lucinda's sleek voice.

"Kasumi and er- Retsun"

Lucinda's eyes lived up and she quickly stood straight up.

Mason stared at her "Something wrong mom?"

"N-no no, it's nothing." Asami started down the hallway to the door.

"I don't know who you guys are but don't you think it's like super lame to walk around with just a sword handle? I mean, you're not fooling anybody." said Asami. Kasumi and Retsun exchanged looks.

Just as Retsun opened his mouth to speak, Lucinda emerged in the door way.

"Asami, go finish your meal." Commanded Lucinda.

"But who are th...?"

"Asami please…"

"Okay whatever…" Asami dragged her feet back to the kitchen.

Lucinda fixed her attention at her unusual guests. "Let's talk out here on the porch"

All three of them took a seat on a bench out on the porch.

Lucinda stared at Kasumi "It's been a long time Vice Admiral Kasumi Suraki"

"Lucinda – Oh and I'm an admiral now, got promoted four years ago."

"Congratulations. So, Retsun, does that mean that you are the vice admiral then?"

"Yes"

A moment of eerie silence passed before a word was spoken.

Finally Kasumi spoke.

"But down to a more serious matter. We still mourn for your loss and ours as well. Your husband and a worthy co-captain of Eon Sayer. He will be missed by everyone that ever laid eyes on him. He was truly a man worthy of our love. Denderac Shi will be missed… I'm sorry Lucinda. I truly am."

Lucinda lifted her hand in denial "its okay Kasumi. I've made peace with what has happened. I knew everything happens for a reason, and I believe he had his reasons for making those choices… Denderac will always be with us, not in body, but in mind and spirit."

Kasumi smiled and nodded in belief.

"But yes… We were ordered to retrieve your two children" said Retsun suddenly to break the tension.

"Mason and Asami?"

"Yes"

"You knew this day would come Lucinda" said Kasumi.

"Yes I knew, but the kids do not know anything about all of this."

"Don't worry about that" said Kasumi, "We will educate them quickly"

Retsun looked at Lucinda "We can't let their abilities go to waste. They are half Guardian after all. We need their power to keep the balance and peace in both worlds. But since they are half bloods, we will only be taking one of them; we will send the other one back."

"I see. Very well then" accepted Lucinda.

Meanwhile, Mason and Asami were eavesdropping on the conversation"

"Did you hear that brother?"

"Yeah, I did"

"You think their lying?"

"No,mother has that serious expression on her face, besides, why would they lie about something like that? Huh?"

"Dumbass, I was just asking, no need to be rude"

Mason stared at Asami

Mason didn't have anything against Asami, but somehow she never liked him too much. She thought he was somehow to blame for everything that went wrong. He tried his best to ignore her but…

"I wasn't being rude"

"I hate you!"

Mason shook his head and didn't say anything back.

There was only silence from the three on the porch.

"Why aren't they saying anything?" asked Asami.

"How should I know?"

"It's because you made to much noise you dumbass."

Then they heard Lucinda's sleek voice. "You two can come out now."

"She now, dumbass!" complained Asami.

Asami pushed Mason out of the door and made him fall over.

"What…?" tried Mason.

"Shut up!" boomed Asami.

Mason stood up, not even thinking of retaliating.

Retsun seized the two teenagers up. "I understand that you heard our conversation just now?"

Asami and Mason both nodded shamefully.

Asami took a few steps forward and raised her voice "Is it true!? Did you know my father?"

They didn't answer her.

"Is he? Is he really gone? No haha, he won't die before meeting his children would he?"

There was a horrible pain in Asami's voice. The thing she wanted most throughout her entire life was a dad.

"Tell me I'm right! Please! Tell me!"

Asami's voice faded "Please…"

Asami fell down on her knees, tears scratching down her cheeks.

"Asami…"

"It's okay mom."

Asami got up looking rather more angry than sad. It looked a tad creepy to Mason.

Lucinda walked over and hugged Asami. "I'll explain everything soon my dear. Soon"

"We better get going" Said Kasumi.

"Right" said Lucinda.

"Retsun lets open it"

"Okay"

Retsun and Kasumi stood opposite sides of each other and held their hands out towards each other.

Kasumi started "Niku to chi no kurieta"

Retsun continued "Tsugi no sekai e no tobira o hirakimasu"

A blinding light lit up the alley and a huge gaping hole appeared. On the other side was the Sayer World. It looked like a Japanese Samurai/Edo cultured Village. It was Eon Sayer.

"Unreal" mumbled Mason

"Come, let's go!"

They entered the portal.

3: Chapter 2 - Who’s the Worthy One
Chapter 2 - Who’s the Worthy One

Chapter 2

Who's the Worthy One?

In Eon Sayer, all the buildings were Edo cultured and there were sakura flying through the wind all around the Middle Plaza in which they were now. The Middle Plaza was a large open space, tiled up with huge grey-white tiles in the center of Eon Sayer. The territories of the four sectors surrounded the plaza, each affecting a different quadrant of Eon Sayer.

On the opposite side of which they entered the plaza was a hallway

"Follow me" commanded Kasumi.

The entire hallway consisted of bamboo and wood and it was open in all directions except for the roof. It was actually quite spacious for a hallway. Mason and Asami could see fish ponds and small waterfalls from the hallway, as well as small patches of bamboo scattered throughout the yards. The gardens were extremely beautiful and would never give the intentions that this place was actually a fighting academy.

At the end of the hallway, they reached a massive building.

"What is this place?" asked Mason.

"It is the Meeting Hall. It is where all our meetings take place and where you can find our Head Commander if he's not home." replied Kasumi.

They entered the meeting hall, and all the Elites were there. All twelve of them standing in a row in front of the Head Commander (six on the right side and six on the left side), with a small gap in the middle of them, so that the Head Commander could have a clear view of the door.

Commander of Sector Four, Sporin looked up "A-a-h Kasumi, Retsun, you have returned" Sporin always had bushy hair and a sleepy expression on his face He also had peculiar tattoos over his face, which looked like foreign symbols, one on his chin, another under his left eye, and one above his right eye. He also had an earring in his left ear. His sleepy expression was followed up by his personality, He was lazy and spent most of his time sleeping outdoors under a tree, he hates fighting above all else and is one of the first Guardian's to ever join Eon Sayer.

Ryushin looked up at Mason and Asami "They are the Shi's?"

"Yes sir" said Asami.

Mason seemed annoyed "Who the heck is the dude with the huge beard?"

Ryushin had a grey beard that covered most of his face down to his waist and equally long grey hair.

Mason walked forward towards the old man but Retsun grabbed Mason's shoulder.

"Halt! Address him with respect!"

Asami smiled "Hey dumbass, listen to them."

Ryushin lifted his hand up "its okay, its okay… They do not know this place. Sporin"

Sporin looked up "What now? Oh… Kasumi, Retsun, you are excused."

Kasumi and Retsun both bowed then disappeared out through the door.

Asami stared at the people in the room and asked "Are you guys like very important?"

"Hehehe…" came a sinister grin from the pack of people.

"Naïve brats" The sinister man looked up. "You have no idea!"

"Raze! Quiet!" said Lea, the commander of the second sector.

"I do not take orders from you… woman" murmured Raze in his deep sinister voice. "I am a commander too"

"Do not argue .Act as the commanders you are! You were not appointed for this meaningless trifle." said Ryushin.

"A question if I may?" asked Asami.

"Go ahead" replied Ryushin.

"Why are all of you carrying sword hilts? What's up with that?"

Ryushin nodded at Commander Lea and she started explaining.

"They do indeed resemble sword hilts but they are called Propio Arma. Their true forms are sealed away as this hilt but can be released by their wielder. A Propio Arma is forged by you, through your experiences, goals, resolve and strength, Mental and physical. It takes years of training to achieve a high enough level to forge your own Propio Arma. That is why only high rank Guardian's has one.

"What happens if you release it?" asked Mason.

"Its true form will appear, whether it's a sword or staff or any other weapon, each Propio Armavaries in shape and size from slightly too exponentially and some Propio Arma even have certain abilities or techniques."

"Whoa… I want one" Said Mason in awe.

"Still the naïve fool hehe…" said Raze.

"Anyway" said Ryushin "We need only but one of you to join up with Eon Sayer, and to guard Gika City"

"Join?! What!? You said that we won't allow them to join!" Screeched Captain Kendo.

"I've changed my mind Kendo"

Kendo looked down in disgust "Yes sir"

Ryushin looked at Mason and Asami again.

"So, which one of you is more sufficient with a sword".

Mason stood, knowing that his sister did Kendo as a school sport and that she was their captain. "I er… I think…"

"I am" interrupted Asami "I am the captain of my Kendo club"

Mason stared at his sister in disgust and shook his head.

Ryushin saw that. "I think your brother thinks differently" Ryushin turned his attention to Mason "So boy, you think you are better than your sister?"

Mason did not like to be treated differently. "I may be"

"Hahaha!" Laughed Asami. "You better than me? You have never held a sword in your life! And I, I have made nationals!" boasted Asami.

"So?" said Mason, knowing that she was correct.

"A demonstration perhaps?" requested Ryushin "Throw them Shinai!"

Two bamboo swords flew in their direction. Asami caught one and Mason missed his.

Mason annoyed and his sister grinning broadly, he picked up his Shinai.

"Hajime!" shouted Ryushin.

"Wha…?" asked Mason.

"It means begin, dumbass!" squealed Asami.

Enough! Thought Mason! She insulted me enough!

Mason gripped the unfamiliar feel of the shinai hard in his hands and charged down at Asami.

Asami glared up and lifted her Shinai. She went into a stance.

"Tennen Risshin Style, Hiraseigan" Said Asami with a serious tone.

Mason winded up to slash, but just as he was ready, Asami stepped forward and stabbed him full force with the bamboo sword's end in his chest. The force knocked Mason off his feet.

Mason lay on the ground gripping his chest. He knew he lost.

"Then it's settled" said Ryushin. "Asami Shi is the worthy one…"

Mason quickly jumped up "I can train…"

"You will return to your world and continue living a normal life."

"Please sir! I can become stronger. I'll do anything!"

Ryushin's personal guard stared at Mason with interest.

"This discussion is over boy" boomed Ryushin. "Slifer, Escort Mason back to the human world."

"Yes sir" replied Slifer, Ryushin's personal guard.

Slifer walked over to Mason. Slifer had slightly spiky hair and dark eyes.

"C'mon, let's go Mason"

Mason followed Slifer out. As they left the Meeting hall, Mason whispered "Dammit! Done in by my sister again!"

Slifer stopped dead in his tracks and Mason bumped into him.

"Wha..?"

"Do you want to go home now?" Slifer asked as he stared over his shoulder at Mason.

"Of course not! I can train. I can become stronger. That way I can do what I always wanted… That is to protect the things I hold dear."

"Hmm. Would you train under me?"

"Are you allowed to train me? – I mean, that old guy did say to escort me back?"

"True, I am not allowed to train you, but if you say yes to my request, I'll take you away from this place and train you. I will be exiled from here but it will be for the better."

Mason gawked at Slifer. "Wait a minute. If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. How do I know that I can trust you?"

"Look – There is an organization out there named Crimson. They have existed for hundreds of years, but they are rising to power now. I overheard some people talking about it, and we have to act now, otherwise it would be too late."

"Yeah? Well, why don't you go tell the others in that hall about this?"

"I did. But they won't listen. They believe that Crimson will stay as docile as they have been these passed hundred years… They are planning something horrible. Deep inside of your City lies an orb named the Galasticus Orb. It holds great power and the leader of Crimson, Hidra Tyacka wants to unseal the orb and gain its power. If he does that, our world or yours will be destroyed. We won't have anywhere to run. We'll all be killed."

"So it's really true then? You'll really train me?"

"If you accept, I promise to train you"

Mason looked around him, jaded. "Very well then, I'll er – train under you."

"Then it is settled… I will make you strong Mason. Follow me."

4: Chapter 3 - Fight or Flight?
Chapter 3 - Fight or Flight?

Chapter 3

Fight or Flight?

Asami and the Elites were still inside of the Meeting Hall.

"Captain Jin, take Asami to the yard and test her skills. Come inform me later at what level she is at." uttered Ryushin.

"Yes sir" said Captain Jin from Sector One.

Jin was lazy Commander Cayrin's direct subordinate and hated his laziness although he had the utmost respect in the captain, otherwise Jin was a lively and positive guy.

"Hey Asami! Lezgo'"

Jin led Asami out through a side door into a garden area. The aroma of freshly cut grass hung in the air and a small waterfall could be heard flowing in the background. The sun was shining brightly and birds could be heard singing joyfully.

"Here, catch."

Jin threw a shinai at Asami and she caught it. Jin was also holding a shinai.

"Asami, is it?" asked Jin.

"Yeah"

"Okay, well Asami – Come at me with everything you've got"

Asami stood ready to charge, but paused.

"'thing the matter?" asked Jin

"Aren't you gonna, Y'know, take a fighting stance or anything?"

"Nope, I'm good."Jin was standing with his one hand in his pocket and held the shinai with only one hand.

Asami seemed aggravated "I'll beat you for sure if you plan on fighting me like that."

"Nah… I won't lose."

"You know, just because I'm a girl doesn't mean that I can't kick your ass"

"I didn't say it did."

"Here I come!"

Asami charged Jin with all her might and slashed at him. It would have been a perfect hit, but to Asami's surprise, her attack was blocked. She quickly retreated and secured her posture.

"I'm not done yet!"

Asami dashed in for a second time, winding up for her blow, but bluffed when she kicked. Jin deflected her kick and pushed her back. Without any pauses, Asami charged in again and slashed a few impressive shots. She jumped up and brought her bamboo blade down on her opponent with sheer force, but Jin twisted his sword into her opening and diverted her sword out of her hands leaving her falling defenseless in front of him. Jin caught her sword out of the air with the same hand he was holding his own sword. Asami was dumbstruck.

Who is this guy? Asami thought. I couldn't even touch him and he hasn't even taken his hand out of his pocket. In a real fight I would've been done already. He wasn't even trying.

A joyful laugh came from Jin. "You're good enough Asami. Come with me, we will go inform the Head Commander

Sector One's Colonel was sitting inside their barracks. His name was Damian Shi.

"Hmm. Where do you think you are going, brother?" whispered Damian to himself. "Mia."

"Yes brother?" Said Mia, a little girl with bright pink hair. She looked barely ten years old. She had big blue eyes and had black track marks in the corners of her eyes.

"Go confront Slifer and our brother. Take a subordinate with you."

"Aye aye! Brother! – You come with me!" shouted Mia at a Sector One soldier. "Should we kill him?" asked Mia.

"No" said Damian. "Just don't let either one of them leave Eon Sayer."

"Yes sir, brother!" Mia saluted Colonel Damian in a playful way and then she turned her attention at the soldier. "Let's go soldier! We should hurry."

"Yes sir" replied the soldier and they both ran out of the barracks, swords and all.

Mason and Slifer were fast approaching the Eon Sayer's exit when Mia and the soldier jumped in front of them.

Slifer stopped dead.

"Junior Officer Mia Shi? State your business"

Shi!? It struck Mason.

Mia smiled "Damian wants to know where you are off to, Slifey!"

"It's none of Colonel Damian Shi's business"

Another Shi? Who are they? Mason was confused.

Damian was eavesdropping from a distance. "Oh? None of my business, hey?

Mia drew her sword I'm afraid I cannot let you leave here with Mason"

"You are a fool to draw your sword against me, Junior Officer Mia Shi!" replied Slifer.

Oddly Mason did not sense any intent to hurt the other from any of them.

"You, take care of Mason, I'll take Slifer" squeaked Mia to the soldier. "Yes."

The soldier drew his sword as well and beamed at Mason.

"Heads up Mason" Slifer threw a sword at Mason and he caught it.

Mason stared at Slifer who didn't have a sword to speak of. "What about you?" Mason asked. "You don't have a sword?"

"Heh!" Mason smiled. "I don't need a sword"

"Oh yeah, are you gonna use that Propio thing of yours?"

"It's called a Propio Arma, and no, there is no need to use it here in this diminutive battle"

"Diminutive?" Mason scowled. "What should I do?"

Slifer gave a broad smile "Just don't die yet!"

"Oh crap!" yelped Mason.

Slifer charged off towards Mia and kicked. She blocked with her sword but he still had his other foot free.

Slifer whispered a few hard to hear words to Mia and Mia could be seen smiling.

"Yup!" Replied Mia to Slifer's almost muted words.

With no intentions of seriously hurting her, Slifer kicked her blade with his other foot, forcing her to be propelled far away.

The soldier Charged at Mason, but with luck Mason blocked. Mason tried to push the soldier back, but he was no match for him. Mason pushed back with all he had but yet he was pushed down onto the ground like it was mere child's play.

"Hope you enjoyed your brief time in the Sayer World, because now, it's over"

The soldier brought his blade down to Mason. The blade was so close to Mason that he could almost taste it, when suddenly the weight lifted from Mason's sword. Slifer kicked the soldier off of Mason.

"Well, that's the end of my authority" said Slifer.

"Thanks Slifer, you saved my ass back there"

The Gate guards came storming towards them.

"Well, No time to celebrate, let's go!"

Slifer grabbed Mason and threw him over his Shoulder. Slifer charged out of Eon Sayer with speed beyond comprehension. Just mere seconds later, and Eon Sayer disappeared out of Mason's sight, over Slifer's shoulder. Mason fainted because of his body unable to withstand the incredible high speed.

"I'll be following closely, Slifer" Whispered the unseen Damian. "Closely"

5: Chapter 4 - Training Commences
Chapter 4 - Training Commences

Chapter 4

Training Commences

Jin had guided Asami to Head Commander Ryushin's residence.

"She is capable with a sword sir"

"So we can send her off to protect Gika City?" Asked Ryushin.

"We could indeed sir"

"She is not experienced in fighting Dark Ones, so we will give her a helping hand. Subordinate Officer Lucy Shifa" said Ryushin.

"I will send for her. Let's go Asami"

"Wait, one question if I may Commander? Where is my brother?"Asami requested

Ryushin lifted his eyebrows "He had been sent home"

"Uh… Okay, thank you sir"

Asami and Jin were dismissed.

Meanwhile at the entrance of Eon Sayer: "Guard! Sound the alarm! Sound the alarm!

An extremely loud gong echoed through the Edo city and would be heard from fifty miles away.

"What is this!?" bellowed Ryushin from his residence.

A messenger appeared in front of Ryushin "Sir, Personal Guard Slifer Scar and the Shi half blood has fled Eon Sayer."

"Summon an emergency meeting for both the elite and high-class guardians!" bawled Ryushin.

"Yes sir".

*

Asami was quickly briefed about what has happened while Jin escorted her to the Middle Plaza.

They quickly reached their destination.

"Why did my brother do this?"

"I don't know Asami… For now just go to Gika City."

"And do what?"

"Lucy will show you the ropes"

"Who?"

Just then, a girl with short black hair came before Jin "I am ready sir."

"Good Lucy, you are here, Help me open a portal"

"Yes sir"

"Niku to chi no kurieta" Said Jin

"Tsugi no sekai e no tobira o hirakimasu" followed Lucy.

And again as before , a magnificent portal opened up before Asami.

"Quick you two, hurry through. I'll see you girls later" said Jin and he suddenly vanished in an uproar of wind.

"What? He disappeared?" said Asami in amazement.

"No he didn't disappear. He used Flash movement. To the untrained eye it would seem as though he disappeared but in reality he actually only moved faster than your eye can see"

"Amazing!" continued Asami in awe. "Just amazing! Can you do it as well?"

"Haha no, I'm flattered but I am only a subordinate officer. I'm not yet good enough to use Furasshu. Anyway we should hurry." Asami and Lucy entered the portal and emerged in their house's living room.

The emergency meeting commenced inside of the Meeting Hall.

"What's with this emergency meeting!? I don't like it!" Complained Raze, The Commander of Sector 3 (The all combat division)".

"Slifer and Mason Shi abandoned direct orders and went rogue. They abandoned Eon Sayer." Ryushin explained.

Raze grinned "Slifer huh? Never liked that Idiot. I'd love to kick his ass."

"Let's try to avoid using violence" Commander Lea commented

Raze laughed out loud and whispered "Weak hearted fools you are."

Ryushin continued "I'll only announce that the two of them will be known as betrayers from now one and that we hand them over to the Sayer government if we find them"

"Why can't we just kill them?" Raze asked.

"Because the Sayer Government takes them as threats to the open world and issued a bounty for each of them." said Ryushin "Anyway, All four sectors should tighten up security."

Ryushin gave the commanders procedures to follow.

Back at the Shi's residence, Asami and Lucy explained the situation to Lucinda.

"I see, so Asami will begin her duty here, and Mason has gone missing."

"Correct" said Lucy.

Suddenly Lucy seemed alarmed and looked around.

"something wrong?' came Lucinda

"It's a spiritual monster! It's near!" said Lucy alarmed.

Lucy handed a black shihakusho and a sword over to Asami. "Get dressed and meet me outside... And hurry!"

"Mom?" said Asami bewildered.

"Go Asami"

Without further hesitation Asami quickly got dressed and joined Lucy outside.

"It's close, follow me" ordered Lucy,

Mason woke up all groggy.

"It's about time you woke up" Came Slifer's voice.

"Whoa! Where are we!?" Said Mason in awe.

They were on a floating island in the sky, above an ocean, made of hard bedrock. The Island was small, maybe the size of a football field. It had waterfalls all over the place and had a few crystal clear natural pools.

"Where is this?" Mason asked again.

"This is the Higher Water Tower... It's where I was taught water bending when I was a child" Said Slifer.

"Water bending?" repeated Mason in confusion.

"Yeah... Water bending"

There was a waterfall that continuously spewed water down, off of the island. Slifer moved his hands past the water in a fluent way and guided the water to follow his hands. He was able to control the water "Water bending, the ability to fully control water" spoke Slifer while twirling a stream of water around him in a fluent way "I had been taught this bending by my master more than eighty years ago, and now I will pass this art down to you."

Mason sat up, gawking at Slifer "heh? Me? Learn to water bend? Are you sure about that?"

"Yes I'm sure."

Mason sat scratching his head. "So uh? I have to train to save my city right?"

"Correct, your city as well as everyone that resides there. Would you care to start your training?"

Mason got up "Might as well, right?"

"Right... Come sit here, in front of this water pool."

Mason did as he was instructed and sat down in front of the untainted pool.

"Mason, close your eyes... and listen... That's all..."

"Listen?" Mason asked "To what?"

Slifer was in thought; If he's the one, he should be able to hear it

"Slifer?" Mason asked in a confused voice

"I do not know what you should listen to... You will only know when you hear it" Slifer said "In the mean time, I will go back to Eon Sayer... I'll stay undetected and observe. I want to see what they are up to"

Slifer started running towards the edge of this floating island.

"Slifer! Wait!" Yelled Mason.
