Prologue: Backstabber

Before you read, let me just confirm that yes, this is based off of Gossip Girl. I guess it could be considered a fanfiction but, I don't know. You can decide. Just tell me your critisizms and please enjoy!  Also, this is posted on FictionPress and WattPad on my accounts there.

The prologue is loosely based off of Backstabber by Ke$ha, hence the title. To get you into the mood, you can listen to it.

Prologue: Backstabber

"How do I look?" asked the girl with silver blonde hair. She twirled around once in order to show off her little black dress to her friends. It was something so simple yet, so sexy at the same time. It was perfect for her.

If there was anything Regina hated, it was imperfection. Not on her, never on her, she was perfect. She just needed to remind her friends how much better than them she was. It worked all the time. She was blessed with beauty and she utilized it to her advantage.

"Oh-em-Gi, Gina you look adorbs!" exclaimed her friend with the flat-ironed—obviously bleached—blonde hair.

Lucky, her number one supporter. The poor freshman was nothing in comparison. She wanted to be everything Regina was and was willing to do anything to please her so she could accomplish that goal. The girl bleached her wretched red hair and flat-ironed it until it was pin straight. She even caked foundation on her face to rid herself of her freckles. She was pathetic, really.

"Tots," agreed the other two girls who almost looked to be twins with their matching sky blue, cocktail dresses and same curly, updo styled hair.

Narcissa and Cécilia were practically joined at the hip. Narcissa had dirty blonde hair with highlights while Cécilia dyed her natural brown hair to a shade of honey blonde.

Regina placed a hand over her heart and said, "Aww, thanks girls. You all almost look just as fabulous."

The four laughed before grabbing their clutches and exiting the bedroom.

"Where's the party?" asked a new voice.

The girls turned their blonde heads to face the newcomer. They smiled upon seeing the sight of Regina's nine year-old brother grinning knowingly at them.

"Aww, how sweet! Judy wants to come out and play with the big girls! Sorry, not tonight honey. Maybe next time." Regina commented.

"Don't you have a party to go to?" asked another.

Regina looked at her younger sister; she was just as tall as her despite only being an 8th grader. She also had the same platinum hair and icy blue eyes. Euphemia had her arms crossed over her chest as she gave a look of disapproval.

Regina just smiled at her, "Don't be such a worrywart, Effie. I'll be fine."

Before Euphemia could respond, Regina turned around and headed down the stairs, her friends following her like mindless drones.

Judah elbowed his other sister, who was still frowning at their older sister's departing figure.

"Forget it," he told her, "it's not like she'd listen anyway. You know how Gigi is."

Euphemia swallowed a hard lump in her throat and nodded, "I know."

But knowing that Regina was heading over to Tilian Laird's mansion for a party didn't settle well with her at all.

~ BG ~

"Gina," Regina felt a pair of arms snake around her waist and a hot breath on her neck. The guy placed a lingering kiss on her jugular before whispering in her ear, "I was starting to get lonely."

Tilian Laird was quite notorious around town. Not only was he a Barbie and a rebel but, he also was gorgeous. Of course, someone that sexy could never be tied down. That much Regina knew so, she never pursued a romantic relationship with him. She let him fawn over her because she loved the attention.

She gave a smile before craning her neck and giving him a chaste kiss on the cheek, "Tilly, I'd never miss out on a party with you there. You know I enjoy you too much to ditch a party that wouldn't be any fun without me." Regina turned around and pressed her lips against his, coaxing him to be willing enough to do her bidding. He growled softly in response, being so long without kissing her. She ended the kiss after a few seconds and whispered softly in his ear, "Let's go upstairs."

He only smirked at her suggestion and released his hold on her waist, "Just couldn't wait, could you?"

Regina giggled and turned her head to face her friends, "You girls go and have fun. I'll meet up with you later."

"Sounds cool! Come on Cece, let's go dance!" Narcissa said carelessly.

Cécilia grinned and nodded in agreement, "Yeah, ok! Tilly, we expect some later though. See you later, Gina!"

The two girls vanished within the crowd of rowdy, hormonal, frolicking adolescents. Regina turned to face Tilian when her other friend gripped her free hand.

"Wait, Gina."

Not only was Lucky a sad excuse for a Barbie, she was also extremely annoying. The only reason why she welcomed in Regina's crowd was because Lucky idolized her and the one thing any queen loves, is to be told she's perfect.

Regina retracted her hand from Lucky's grasp, keeping a strained smile plastered on her face, "Yes, Jeanie?"

"You can't—"

"What?" Gina snapped, glaring at the freshman with her icy blue eyes. "I can't what?"

Lucky gulped involuntarily, "You really shouldn't—"

"Jeanie, honey, do us all a favor and go get yourself a drink. Okay? You're way too stressed out. You need to let loose sweetie. Ozzie won't like an uptight prude."

That immediately shut her up.

"In any case," Regina decided to further agitate her, "you're looking exceptionally thin tonight. Why don't you go put something in your system? I'd hate for you to pass out so soon."

Tilian chuckled upon hearing her maliciously saccharine words. Lucky quickly excused herself and submerged into the mob of teens.

"Do you have to be so cruel? She's only a freshman."

Regina faced him once again and stroked his bicep, "You know you love it when I'm cruel. Besides, it's not like she'll ever be the Queen Barbie. She doesn't have what it takes."

"Anyway," he decided to change the topic of the conversation to something that he would benefit from, "what were you saying earlier? Something about going upstairs?"

Tilian might have been interested in the blonde beauty but, he didn't care for all the talking and drama she brought with her. He only wanted her for two things and he was going to make sure she gave them to him.

Regina giggled and complied, "Let's go."

She interlaced her fingers with his and led him up the stairwell.

~ BG ~

"Lucky!"

She quickly turned around. She knew that voice anywhere. He was heading her way. Crap! What was she going to do?

Before she had any time to think, he appeared in front of her. His gorgeous, six foot one frame towered over her. What she would give to have him . . . .

She noticed his lips moving but, was too focused on their motion to comprehend what he was talking about.

"W-What?" Lucky cursed at herself for her voice coming out in such a meek manner. She doubt he had even heard her over the booming music and loud conversations.

"Ozzie loves a girl with confidence."

"Ozzie likes a woman on top."

"Ozzie won't like an uptight prude."

She needed to act like someone with experience and not like her usual timid self. This wasn't any ordinary hot guy, this was Oswald King, the King Barbie. She gave him a flirtatious smile and spoke a little louder this time, "Come again?"

"Do you know where Regi is?"

Her smile faltered slightly. Of course! For what other reason would he want to speak with her, other than it having something to do with Regina! She should have known.

I know exactly where she is, what she's doing and who she's with.

Lucky masked her face with an innocent façade and looked into his beautiful pair of shining, apple green eyes. She shook her head, "I'm sorry but, I don't. We split up a while back and I have yet to see her again. Have you tried asking Cece and Cissy?"

He scratched the back of his head and sighed, "I was looking for them but, it seems they've disappeared someplace too. Maybe they're all together?"

No chance.

She shrugged, "Maybe."

Oswald dug his hands in his pants' pockets. He gave Lucky a half-hearted smirk before awkwardly saying, "Well, thanks for your help."

When he was about to turn and leave, Oz felt someone grab his arm. He rolled his eyes upon knowing who it was. He turned back to face Lucky. Her intentions were so apparent, he could smell them from ten miles away. The second he first made eye contact with her, he knew he should avoid her at all costs. She was one of those girls, the type guys like him stay far away from. However, that was hard when she was brought into BG's circle of "dolls".

"What's up?" Oswald tried to not seem annoyed.

She looked up at him with her big, doe, brown eyes and her pouty, pink lips in an expression that attempted to look . . . sexy? . . . Or at least cute? He didn't bother.

"My friends are nowhere to be found and I really don't know anyone else here," she began.

Great, she was playing that card.

"So I was wondering if, maybe—"

"Oz!"

He was never so grateful to have a past fling latch onto him. He grinned and looked at the brunette, "Alana, hey."

"I've been looking for you everywhere!"

By the way she swayed; she was completely drunk out of her mind. But even when sober, she was easy.

"Let's get out of here," she whispered loudly in his ear.

He nodded, "Sounds fun."

Alana giggled and clapped her hands excitedly, "Yay!" She turned her head and took notice of Lucky standing just a foot away with a blanched face. Alana's eyes drifted between the blonde's grasp on his arm and the strange look on her face. "Oh, Oz, I didn't realize you were already talking with someone. Want to join? Guys find threesomes a turn on."

Lucky quickly released his arm as if it burned her. She was rendered speechless by the brunette's suggestion. Her eyes began to water.

"Lana, I don't think she's interested." Oswald whispered in the drunken brunette's ear.

She only giggled, "Oh, I see. You want Oz all to yourself. Don't worry, I'm not offended. In fact, I completely understand! He's an exquisite lover! He already promised me tonight . . . you can have him some other time, though! I'm sure he won't mind. Will you Oz?"

The brunette was completely oblivious that she was driving the other girl close to tears.

"Let's go, Lana." Oswald began to lead the brunette out the door, "See you later Lucky."

Lucky tried desperately to hold in her tears.

Yeah, she thought bitterly, see you later. God, I am such an idiot!

She sprinted to the bathroom, squeezing through the hoard of drunken teens and groping couples. She opened the bathroom door, only to find two teens in the middle of having a heated make out session in the shower. They didn't seem to realize that she just burst in on them.

She quickly ran out and rushed up the stairs. Upon seeing the empty hallway, Lucky broke down crying.

She had never felt so humiliated in her whole life. She didn't understand why he didn't give her the time of day. She knew she was better than all those girls he messed around with. She had to be. She was chosen. Her, out of all the other girls in her grade. She was the one who was titled as a Barbie. Those girls were what Regina and the others would call "worthless trash" and whatnot.

Speaking of Regina, ever since she became a Barbie, all of her problems seemed to revolve around her. She always gave Lucky advice and tried to advise her how to get Oswald to like her. Regina, despite being a bitch, was a great friend to her and she should be grateful she was given the time of day.

However, she couldn't continue to ignore how Oswald looked at her. Lucky knew that if Tilian was out of the picture, the chances of Oswald and Regina getting involved with each other would increase tenfold and it hurt for her to come to that realization.

It had to be because they were thinner than her, she then decided. Those sluts and Regina were skinny. The weight she had lost must not have been enough to win him over.

Those words she spoke to her . . .they haunted Lucky constantly.

"Why eat so much if it's going to come back up anyway? Why not save yourself from the bad breath and decaying teeth? Just don't eat."

"Why not put on a few pounds more? It won't hurt. I mean, look at you."

"Don't bother giving her a slice, it's too fattening for her to handle."

"In any case, you're looking exceptionally thin tonight. Why don't you go put something in your system? I'd hate for you to pass out so soon."

The tears cascaded down her face. She was sure that she looked like a raccoon by now. She wanted it all out of her system. She wanted to scream. It's not like anyone would hear her anyway.

Lucky tiptoed about the hallway, there had to be an upstairs bathroom somewhere. Perhaps the master was close by? She opened the closest door and peered inside the room. What she saw stopped her dead in her tracks. A shirtless Tilian was on top of Regina, who was clad only in her lingerie.

Lucky's eyes marveled at the way Tilian's hands moved about her body so gracefully yet, fast and rough at the same time. That was when something caught her eye. Upon the bedside table were a few lines of cocaine, six empty shots, a half filled bottle of vodka and uncapped bottles of pills.

Of course, the real Regina only came out after hours with the help of Tilian.

Tilian Laird was notorious for dealing. But of course, no one ever suspected of Regina being an addict because no one knew that they were friends with benefits. Only those in her inner circle were aware of her intense partying ways. Everyone knew she was a crazy partier, they just didn't know how much crap she really had in her system.

Even Lucky knew that Tilian was a bad influence and stayed as far away from him as she could. Regina, the stupid bitch, didn't deserve a guy like Oswald. That thought ate away at Lucky. Did he even know about Tilian? He probably wouldn't think twice about forgetting about her if he did.

Lucky couldn't control what she did next. She opened her clutch and took out her iPhone. She slid the screen to activate the camera and raised her arm to get a good view of Regina, Tilian and the drugs. She snapped the picture and swiftly dashed down the hall. She needed to leave as soon as possible. She had someone she needed to see.

She entered her passcode in her cell and began to text an old friend of hers.

Can you pick me up? There's something I need to show you. —LJ

Barbie Generation Column

Dear Fellow Cohorts,

Good morning! Who was at Tilian Laird's party on Saturday? Seems like everybody had a great time. Look at what I've obtained as a souvenir. I know you're all going to love this surprise.

(Picture of Regina and Tilian making out half-naked. Alcohol and drugs clearly visible on the bedside table.)

Gasp! I bet no one suspected our Barbies, Regina and Tilian, would be doing the nasty while inebriated. Don't worry, it's all fun and games until you're caught! My source says that this happens practically on a daily basis. Who knew my Barbie was an addict? You should go get some help Gina.

And a word of advice: better watch out my lovely Queen, someone seems eager to dethrone you . . . enough to send me this lovely picture. Remember: keep your friends close but, keep your enemies closer.

Sincerely but Never Yours,

Everyone turned their heads towards Regina. She had a nonchalant expression painted on her face. She was with her usual crowd: Cécilia Thain, Narcissa Kóbor, and Lucky Jeanes.

Cécilia and Narcissa locked gazes with one another, having a silent conversation.

Lucky looked around for Oswald, he had to be around somewhere. No, she didn't feel the slightest hint of remorse for what she had done.

"Regi."

Both, her and Regina turned towards the voice. There stood two other Barbies, Adrian Ritter and Roxan Jack.

Roxan's—or Jackie as she called him—eyes lingered on Lucky before turning his attention towards Regina.

"Come on," Adrian reached out his hand, placing it on the small of her back and whispered, "let's get you out of here."

He began to lead her through the crowd that had formed around her. Regina soundlessly walked in between the two males as the three Barbies exited the school building.

Lucky finally felt her first victory against the Queen Barbie. That was only later to be crushed when she found out that her Oswald had left school to accompany the "Triple R Alliance".

Throughout the next couple of days, rumors about Regina circled around the school like crazy. BG posted about her constantly. She had sunken into deep waters.

Obviously, Lucky pretended to comfort her "friend" when the other Barbies were present. She didn't have to otherwise because Regina somewhat detached herself from her usual crowd. That's what angered her the most.

Regina was constantly hanging around Oswald, Adrian and Roxan. Freya, another Barbie, told Lucky that that was what happened when something really bad happened concerning one of the members of the "Triple R Alliance". The other two form a barricade for that Barbie. Oswald just happened to tag along from time to time.

Tilian went through unscathed since everyone already knew of his dealing ways. Nothing between Regina and his relationship had changed though, much to her barricade's disapproval.

Lucky became more confident. People labeled her as the new and improved Queen Barbie. Cécilia and Narcissa now followed her around like lost puppies and people stopped what they were doing to look at her when she entered the room. Regina's nothing, she tried to convince herself. Everybody else already thought so.

Lucky was on her way home when she received a text from the old queen herself.

Why don't you come over? It's been awhile. I'm starting to miss you. —RY

Of course she went. It would make her look suspicious if she had avoided her "friend" in her time of need.

When she arrived at the door, she didn't even have to knock before Regina's little brother eagerly opened it. He greeted her with devilish smile, almost as if he was expecting her.

She smiled, "Hey Judy!"

He only chuckled before prancing away like an impish creature.

She didn't care to think more of it. He was always a peculiar child. She closed the door behind her and made her way upstairs.

Lucky quietly entered the ex-queen's bedroom and found the natural, platinum blonde sprawled carelessly over her bed. She gave Regina what she thought to be a reassuring smile, "Hey Gina, how are you feeling?"

"Fine," she shrugged. "Can you close the door?"

Lucky simply complied and did what she had asked of her. When she turned back to face her "friend", she found Regina standing in front of her. They were practically face-to-face. Her arms were crossed and she had her lips pursed, an expression of irritation. Lucky didn't even hear her get up from the bed.

A slow smirk crawled its way onto her face, "Let's get straight to the point Jeanie, shall we? You know how I hate to beat around the bush."

Lucky chose to play innocent. She put on the same face she had used with Oswald when she claimed to not know where Regina was at the party. "I don't know what you're talking about, Gina. Can you please elaborate?"

"Cut the bullshit Jeanie! I know it was you who took the picture and somehow managed to send it to BG."

Lucky stayed silent.

Regina tilted her head to the side, "When did you grow the balls to play dirty?"

She didn't get a response.

"It doesn't matter. You've betrayed me, now—"

Lucky scoffed, "Shut up, Gina."

From the look on the former queen's face, no one had ever dared to use that tone of voice with her, much less with those words.

"How dare you interrupt me," she growled.

"How dare I? How dare I?! Ha! Who died and made you Queen of the Universe? You're the 'chosen Barbie', big deal! Wait, you even lost that title! At the rate you're going, you won't make it to the end of the year! Besides outside of high school, you're nothing! No one will give a crap about you! You'll just be some other pathetic drug addict no one cares about! You—"

"Are you done yet?" Regina cut her off before yawning. "Jeanie, darling, you're boring me with all your nonsense."

Lucky paused, bewildered. Was she even listening to her at all?

"What goes on in my life shouldn't concern you, or anyone else for that matter. Anyway, what right do you have to judge me? You're the delusional one with the severe case of bulimia and an obsession over a guy that will never acknowledge you."

"I don't—"

Regina raised her hand, signaling her to stop speaking.

"You're extremely insecure."

"No, I'm not!"

"Yes. You are. Which is exactly why Ozzie will never want you."

That got to Lucky.

"Ozzie will never want you."

. . . never want you.

. . . never . . . .

"You think that you're not bold enough, that you're not skinny enough, that you're not pretty enough. You lack the confidence and the experience. That is why Ozzie will never want you."

"I am confident!" Lucky protested, her eyes starting to water.

"No. You're not. You wish you were but, we all know you're not. You never were and you never will be. Which is exactly why I recruited you. You wouldn't have survived as a Barbie otherwise."

Her words chipped away at Lucky's false sense of confidence. "You befriended me because of pity?!"

"When you put it in those words, it sounds cruel. I like to think it as a kind gesture."

It was unbelievable that even after Regina hit rock bottom, she could still manage to toy with Lucky's emotions with solely her words.

"And besides, you'll never be Queen. You don't have what it takes. You can try and try but, you'll never succeed no matter how hard you do."

"Nope, and that's where you're wrong!" Lucky grinned triumphantly, "I've already beaten you. Everyone considers me the Queen Barbie now, you're ancient history."

"Maybe in their eyes but . . . have you really beaten me?"

Lucky nodded, "Yeah."

"Is that so?"

"Obviously."

"Really? . . . Then, tell me. Why is it that your hair is still blonde?"

Lucky's face fell.

"Exactly," Regina twirled a lock of Lucky's unnatural colored hair between two of her fingers. "You haven't because deep down, you know that I hold the ultimate title and no matter what you do, you will never defeat me."

She slapped Regina's hand away, "That's not true! I-I just haven't had the time to dye it yet!"

"But you just got your roots done."

Lucky didn't have an answer to that.

Regina's playful expression vanished, "I want you gone."

She looked Regina in the eye, "What?"

"I want you out of my life."

"You want me to move to a different city?" she asked with disbelief.

Regina shook her head, "No, I want you out of the goddamn country!"

Her anger was seeping through like venom.

"If you dare not heed my warning and I see you in school on Monday, I will tell Ozzie everything."

Lucky's heart threatened to be ripped out of her chest. She felt as though she couldn't breathe, "E-Everything?" She didn't even notice her voice break.

"Everything," Regina confirmed.

Tears started to pour down her face without her consent. Her words caught in her throat. Lucky choked out, "Fine! Go and tell him! See if I fricking give a crap!"

Regina laughed, "I will and I'll enjoy watching you're slim chances with him dwindle to nothing."

She scoffed, "Yeah, like that'll happen. He still fawns over you despite you being an addict."

"Precisely. He wants to help me, not ignore me. You, he's been trying to ignore you ever since he first saw you. You're the exact opposite of what he wants in a girl. You even dyed your hair. He'd at least like you better if you kept it natural. What color was it again? I'm drawing a blank. Help me out, will you?"

Lucky growled at her sarcasm. She knew damn well that it was red. She made her dye it as an ultimatum: acceptance or her hair.

Regina laughed half-heartedly, "Also, he likes someone in command. Something you will never be. The fact that you're bulimic doesn't help either. . . . If only he knew . . . ."

"No!" Lucky screeched before she could stop herself.

"If you don't want your secrets exposed then, you know what to do."

Lucky looked down at her feet, tears still pouring like rivers. "Why do you want me gone so badly? If I'm not a threat to you then . . . why?"

Regina thought about it for a moment before answering, "Because I actually liked you at some point and you completely went against me. In all honesty, this is the nicest I could be to someone as worthless as you. Be grateful."

Lucky nodded wordlessly before turning around to go home. "I understand, you won't see me on Monday. I'll be gone by then."

"Good." Regina crawled onto her bed and resumed the position she was in before. She sighed, "Though, it's such a disappointment that our friendship ended so tragically as it did. To think . . . we could've been the perfect team, you and I."

Lucky stopped and laughed half-heartedly, "Friendship? . . . Gina, I never considered you my friend."

With that, she bolted out of the room and dashed all the way to her doorstep, never once looking back.

2: Chapter 1: Starstruck
Chapter 1: Starstruck

Okay so this chapter is like an introductory for most of the girl Barbies. The boys will be introduced fully in the next chapter. This is just for you to get a feel for the characters before I really hit the ground running. You get a look inside their minds and get to see their personalities somewhat. There is one female Barbie that does not get introduced in this chapter, she'll be featured in the story later.

This chapter is named after the song Starstruck by 3Oh!3. I like to listen to Marina & the Diamonds' version of it, her voice gives me goosebumps! I feel like she really gave the song a deeper meaning which sort of pertains to the moral of this story.

Chapter 1: Starstruck

Barbie Generation Column

Dear Naïve Freshman,

One always wonders what it is like to be perfect. I mean, have we all not at some point in our lives? I am one of those people who believe that there is no such thing as perfection in this world. Care to disagree? Maybe you will now but, I will prove you wrong.

We are in what's called the Barbie Generation; the 2%, the social hierarchy of society that believes they are perfection. It is my job to make you think otherwise. They are just like you and me.

Of course when Barbies graduate, we need new dolls to replace them. By the end of the day, I will have the Barbies of your generation picked out. Do your best to please me.

Sincerely but Never Yours,

Unbelievable, Ella thought, five minutes into the school day and BG is already on the move. She should not be so surprised. BG was the only thing that kept the school newspaper going.

BG was the Barbie Generation Column's anonymous writer. School news was now accessible online and unlike the other writers, BG posted more than once a day and remains a secret, even to the rest of the writers on the newspaper.

"All ninth grade students please report to the auditorium," a woman said over the P.A. system, "all ninth grade students please report to the auditorium. Thank you."

New Barbies . . . that did not sound good. Everyone already knew who BG was going to choose: three gorgeous, smart, popular teens. From what she had heard, the Barbies were cruel and fake. Though, they seemed so glamorous. One could only help but wonder, why?

Ella was so lost in thought that she failed to notice someone standing right in front of her open their locker. She bashed her head into it and fell backwards onto the hard floor. The girl with dirty blonde hair groaned in pain.

"You should watch where you're walking instead of looking at the floor like an idiot," commented an unfamiliar voice, "things like this would be less likely to occur."

The guy's voice was so rich, smooth and cold. Ella opened her eyes only to see everything blurred. She attempted to sit up only to feel her head start spinning like a rapid merry-go-round.

"Stop," the guy put his hand on her shoulder, "you don't look well." Ella felt her body being lifted and heard him sigh, "I guess . . . I'll take you to the nurse."

The only thing she could register was that his cologne smelt extremely alluring and he was warm. Ella slowly felt herself drift to unconsciousness. Not realizing that this incident would change her life dramatically.

~ BG ~

Heavyweights weighed downed on her eyelids. Ella sluggishly brought her hand to her forehead.

Is this the feeling you get when you get a hangover? Ella wondered. Where am I? What happened to me? I'm supposed to be in class.

The soft shaking of her shoulder snapped her out of her thoughts. "Honey," a tender voice laced with worry asked, "are you alright?"

She gradually opened her eyes to see a middle-aged woman with warm eyes looking down at her. "W-Where am I?" Ella couldn't help but ask with a croak.

A gentle smile graced the woman's features, "The nurse's office."

The what? Ella furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Why would she be in the nurse's office of all places? She was walking in the hallway just seconds ago.

Before she could ask, the nurse said, "You hit your head pretty hard to have had a concussion. Thank goodness that Roxan brought you here straight away. It was so kind of him . . . and strange. You're lucky. What's your name dear?"

"Ella," she said groggily while rubbing her eyes, "Ella Prochazka,"

"Well Ella, I'm glad you're alright. Do you want to go back to class or do you feel like you need to have someone pick you up?"

Should she go home and completely miss the first day of school or should she suck it up and go to class? She honestly wanted to meet all of her teachers and at least try to make a friend or two.

Ella gave the nurse a small smile, "I think I'm well enough to go back to class. I can't allow myself to miss the first day of school over a little bump to the head."

The nurse nodded and went to go write her a pass. Ella's cell began to vibrate in her pocket. She looked to see if she had gotten a text. Instead her screen read:

Dear Luminous Lovers,

It seems as though our beloved Roxi was in the mood to play superhero this morning. He saved a damsel in distress from being trampled. He even carried her away to the nurse's office. How romantic. She apparently slammed her head into his locker and passed out cold on the floor.

(Picture of Roxan carrying a mysterious blonde bridal style.)

Was it an accident or was it planned? It wouldn't be the first time a nobody tried to make a move on one of my Barbies in order to climb the social ladder. What do you think? Attention whore or something more? When has Roxi ever made an effort to be nice? Is our cold-hearted Jack Frost falling for this girl? I am eager to hear your feedback.

Ella was speechless. She was on BG's column! That's a big deal. There was even a picture of her being carried in the middle of the page. She looked at the guy, he was utterly gorgeous.

He had a head full of unruly brown curls, a chiseled jaw and broad shoulders. He looked like a male model straight out of a magazine. The image of every woman's fantasy: tall, dark and handsome. His brown eyes were sharp and cold. No wonder why BG nicknamed him Jack Frost and why this would be a shock to anyone.

"Is there something wrong Ella?" asked the nurse. Ella slightly jumped in surprise by the sudden question.

She quickly shook her head, "N-No, of course not. I just got a text from my mom asking how my day has been so far."

"Don't let BG get to you," the nurse warned, "he or she only lives to ridicule other students."

This caught Ella off guard. She asked the nurse, "You know about BG too?"

"Of course, it's part of the school newspaper after all . . . even though it is just a dumb ole' gossip column."

Ella nodded in understanding. It was only natural that the adults would read it as well. The school newspaper wasn't exclusive to the students, everyone in the school had access to it.

"Don't worry; BG doesn't even know who the girl Roxan carried was. If they did, your name would've been mentioned in that post and your secret is safe with me."

"Thanks," Ella said honestly, "I really appreciate it."

She was new to the school and neighborhood so, it was good that she would not be known as an attention whore on the first day of school. The nurse handed her a neatly written pass and they said their goodbyes before Ella left to go attend class . . . if she could find where the classroom was . . . .

~ BG ~

Roxi playing Prince Charming? I thought that was Lian's job. Regina rolled her eyes at the thought. This fake, blonde girl was obviously an attention whore who wanted to be a Barbie. As if that would ever happen. Barbies are known to not look for attention, our presence alone demands it.

Well, at least Roxan had the same lunch period as her and she could squeeze some information out of him then. As soon as Regina entered her next class, all eyes were on her. She was used to it. She was the Queen Barbie so, she came before all others.

Everyone's eyes shifted to back the door. Of course, she was also leveled with the King.

Regina felt a warm breath against her ear, "Morning Regi."

She reveled in the attention. Close contact didn't faze her. In fact, she loved it.

"Ozzie," she greeted simply before walking over to her seat. He smirked before taking a seat right behind her.

Oswald King, certainly the epitome of a lead male character of any romance novel with his strawberry blond hair and luminescent green eyes. He came from a wealthy family, born strikingly attractive, was smooth with words, raised with elegant poise. Sadly though, every guy had his deficiencies. Oswald was extremely egoistical and arrogant; his reputation was worth more than life itself. He was prideful in his ways of toying with women, was as loyal as a snake and to top it all off, he was a stubborn mule.

"Did you see the Column?"

Regina rolled her eyes, "Of course I did. You'd think Roxi was being mistaken for Lian."

"Or maybe that girl was being mistaken for Lucky."

The platinum blonde gritted her teeth. Why does she still have a huge effect on me? She wondered. I mean, it's not like I'm ever going to see her again.

"Jeanie never played the damsel in distress. That role's specifically reserved for Bonnie."

He chuckled, "It's funny how you still call her by the nickname you gave to her when you were still friends. I thought you hated her."

"I do," she answered.

"You excited for the new Barbies?"

That caught Regina off guard. She expected him to keep probing until she cracked, not change the subject. She shook my head in response. She now had to train brat Barbies who thought that since they had been proclaimed with that title, they had the ability to surpass her. It happened every year.

"How much you wanna bet that it'll be one guy and two girls?" Oswald asked playfully.

"None," she sighed, "I already know you're correct. Cece, Cissy and Tilly graduated last year. BG likes to keep it even between the genders of the Barbies."

"Yeah but, Lucky isn't here anymore. So, shouldn't BG be choosing another girl? Otherwise, there will be five guys and only four girls."

"BG is just hoping that Jeanie will come back. She won't though. I made sure of it."

"Did you wipe her off the map?"

Suddenly, Regina's cell vibrated. She checked the screen to see something she really didn't want to deal with at the moment. Oswald's phone vibrated as well, along with all the other cellphones of everybody in the classroom.

This better not ruin my day, she thought bitterly.

Barbie Generation Column

Dear Queen of Deceit,

How has your summer been? Have you been reigning well? I am truly concerned for your well-being this year. I mean, you almost lost everything last year. Have no fear. I am here to make sure you stay at the top of the social pyramid.

. . . Then again, it was so easy for Jeanie to capsize you and she was only a freshman. Since she is no longer with us, I guess I will just have to find you a formidable opponent. You do remember I still have to recruit freshman Barbies, right? Have fun being Queen, Gina. I promise you, you will not hold your title for long. Just remember: new year, clean slate. Try to keep it that way. We don't want a repeat of last year, do we?

Sincerely but Never Yours,

BG Anonymous

~ BG ~

A warning? Honestly, who does she think she is after all she's put me through? Regina thought. She looked up to see everyone staring at her with almost mocking faces. Never mind, who do these imbeciles think they are?

Regina batted her long, thick, mascara covered eyelashes and smiled. It sent everyone is a slight daze, she wasn't Queen Barbie for nothing. She then advised, "Take a picture. It'll last longer."

With that, everyone turned to mind their own business.

"Is it just me or is BG after you?" Oswald asked with a knowing smirk on his face.

She flipped her silver blonde hair over her shoulder, "Whoever she is, BG must be a jealous wannabe. I mean, it's obvious. It's like she's obsessed with me or something. She might even be a lesbian. Plus, what girl wouldn't be envious of me? I'm perfect."

"Lucky certainly wasn't."

Regina pursed her lips tightly, "Enough with all the Jeanie talk already, okay? She's gone, never to return. No one cares about her anymore. You certainly never did. Also, as a matter of fact, she was jealous of me. So jealous, that she wanted to be me."

"Has last year been erased from your memory?"

"Absolutely, I have nothing tying me down now."

Oswald rolled his eyes but, did not respond.

~ BG ~

Poor Gina! A new potential threat is the last thing she needs after the havoc Lucky orchestrated. I don't believe she has finished picking up the pieces yet. They were so close. It was hard to fathom that she could just stab Gina in the back like that and walk all over her. Kicking her when she's down will only cause her demise. She may think that she was infallible but, she's certainly not bulletproof.

Freya jumped slightly, being interrupted from her thoughts, as she felt a pair of arms encircle her waist and a soft kiss on her cheek, "Hey Doll."

She smiled and turned to face her boyfriend before kissing him back, "Morning." Freya placed her arms around his neck while looking into his gorgeous, baby blue eyes. She could honestly just stay like this with him forever.

Aurelian Rey. She swore that he was the love of her life. They were the ones everybody knew were going to be high school sweethearts living the dream. She could see them eloping on a beach by the seaside in Verona in the near future. Marriage was trite and consumed too much for only documents.

"You excited?"

"For what?" Freya asked absentmindedly while brushing aside some golden strands obstructing his eyes.

"The new Barbies," he said matter-of-factly.

She sighed, "No, not really. I just feel bad for Gina. It seems like BG wants her to fall and never get back up."

He placed a chaste kiss on her forehead. His lips lingered there as he whispered, "Don't worry. Nothing fazes Gina. She has like this foolproof barricade surrounding her. Wait, she actually does. She has Oz, Rian and Jack."

"Lian—" He interrupted his girlfriend by kissing her on the lips swiftly.

"And she has you."

"But—" He cut her off again with another simple kiss.

"And me."

Freya sighed and gave a small smile muttering in defeat, "Okay."

He dazzled her with his smile, "That's my girl. I'll be waiting for you at our usual spot after school."

She nodded her head, "Of course."

The two lovebirds kissed briefly before each going to their designated class. Freya was walking to her AP Language and Composition class when she heard someone comment.

"What's this, a princess without her prince? How bizarre."

She knew that deep, soothing voice anywhere. She turned her head. There leaning against a locker was none other than Adrian Ritter in all his smirking, bad boy glory.

"How uncanny indeed. Sir Ritter, thou shall make it thy duty to escort this gentlewoman to her class and ensure her safety."

He soundlessly offered her his arm, which Freya happily took, and he escorted her to English with their arms interlocked the entire way. Adrian was everything Aurelian was not. For example, he was reserved and only spoke to those closest to him. He had dark brown hair and pale green eyes. To many, he was a mystery. He was one of Freya's dearest friends.

"Gentlewomen do not make orders. They sit when told and listen to their master."

"I am indeed a gentlewoman. I do whatever Lian wishes for me to do and let him ravish me at the same time."

Adrian scowled, "'Tis true, what they say. Thou a wicked harlot."

She slapped his arm while breaking character, "Who are you calling a whore?"

"Certainly not any gentlewoman."

"Good, because I am a one-man gentlewoman."

"Not 'til thou are of a gentler mould."

"Are you quoting Shakespeare?" Freya asked him.

He shook his head in reply, "Simply paraphrasing."

"So that's what you do in your free time! Who knew the bad boy Barbie was a closet Shakespeare lover in disguise, gasp!"

"Don't flatter yourself Princess, the only time I read Shakespeare is when it's assigned for homework."

She gasped dramatically, "Incredible! I didn't know you were a nerd as well. What else are you hiding?"

"If I'm a nerd then, what does that make you?"

Freya grinned, "A secret spy for the government."

He smirked, "Hm, interesting Agent Boner."

She scowled, "It's Bonheur, not Boner! Say it with me Bon-eurrr!"

"Whatever," he shrugged nonchalantly. "So, BG should be a bother for the rest of the day."

"Oh?" Freya turned her head to look at him, "And why is that?"

He sighed, "Because, it's Barbie Hunting Day. BG will be looking for Rookie Barbies and circumstances revolving us interacting with them. And I can guarantee that that bitch who was with Jack earlier will be one of them."

She rolled her eyes and commented, "You sound so sure of yourself."

"I can predict these things. Regi's sister will also probably be the other girl. Chances are, the guy will interact with a Barbie sometime today."

"And how can you tell all this?"

He gave her a lopsided grin, "I'm psychic."

"So, you think any guy to interact with a Barbie will be named one automatically?"

He shook his head, "No, of course not. He has to qualify to BG's standards."

Freya grinned but, did not dare to utter a word. Adrian took notice quickly.

"What scheme is calculating in that complex, feminine brain of yours, Princess?"

The brunette whipped out her phone and began texting Regina, "BG isn't the only one who gets to decide who gets the title."

"Won't your boyfriend be jealous if he sees you flirting with some freshman?"

"Who said I was going to be flirting with anyone? Clearly you do not understand the term 'one-man gentlewoman'. Roxi and Gina got to choose the first two; I'm choosing the last one."

"It's not like they did it intentionally." Adrian sighed, "What a demanding woman you are."

Freya giggled, "That's why Lian loves me so much."

He rolled his eyes, "So, how exactly do you plan on finding the perfect candidate for the male Rookie Barbie title?"

She scanned her eyes around the hall and twisted a lock of her wavy, light brown hair. "I'll know him when I see him."

Freya felt Adrian stop walking abruptly next to her, which caused her to stumble slightly. When she caught herself from tripping over her feet, she turned to see what had caused him to stop and she liked what she saw.

A tan-skinned guy came up to Adrian and asked him for directions to a classroom. Freshman for sure. He looked younger than Adrian and from the way he addressed him, he was aware that he was the varsity soccer captain and probably had tried out for the team and made it. He had long, dark brown hair tied into a low ponytail that fell down his back. His built was slightly scrawnier than Adrian's lean one. His eyes were definitely his best feature; they were a bright, cerulean blue and contrasted greatly with his dark hair and tan skin, making them all the more interesting to look at.

He was the perfect choice. He was nowhere near the male Barbie's level of popularity from what it seemed and he had a humble appearance. He had a hidden power right underneath his nose. It was time the lion was freed from his cage.

This was her chance. Freya tugged on Adrian's arm, "Who's your friend, Rian? Don't you think it's rude to be talking to me one minute and go off with a new guy the next? You should at least introduce us. Honestly, where are your manners?"

Adrian gave her a look that seemed to be confused.

She ignored him, she was a girl on a mission. She put out her hand while smiling brightly, "Hi. I'm Freya Bonheur, also a junior. It's so nice to meet you."

The freshman shook her hand with a firm grip. He was not as shy as he fronted. He then introduced himself, "Hey, my name is Arlyss Reginald. I'm a freshman. The pleasure is all mine."

He bent his head and kissed the back of her hand. Freya smiled coyly in response. This boy certainly was Barbie material; there was no doubt about that.

"Careful there Reginald," Adrian warned, "you're treading on dangerous ground. Her boyfriend bites."

Arlyss released her hand with a smirk, "Don't you worry, Captain. That won't be a problem for me."

The warning bell rang and they bid each other farewell before leaving to go to their respective classes. Adrian bumped Freya's shoulder.

She feigned an innocent look and asked, "What?"

"Don't you go acting all innocent on me now, Princess. What do you want with Reginald?"

"Oh Rian, he's perfect! He reminds me of what your and Lian's baby would be like."

He cringed slightly, "It's disturbing to know that you fantasize about your boyfriend and me having a child."

Freya rolled her eyes, "You know that's not what I meant, silly. He's like the perfect mix of you two—no, scratch that. He's like all four male Barbies combined into one being. BG will just have to choose him!"

Adrian looked at her in a peculiar way, "You can tell all of that from a kiss on the hand? Princess, you're delirious."

Frey playfully shoved him, "Oh, shut up!"

The duo sauntered into their English classroom right before the bell rang. Everyone was staring at them. Well, as Regina would say; it couldn't be helped, they were Barbies after all.

They sat beside each other. Adrian leaned over and whispered, "What if BG misinterprets what you did and uses it to write trash?"

Freya shrugged, "Let her write all the trash she wants. Lian knows that I'd never fall for any other guy. Our bond in unbreakable and our love can overcome any obstacle, no matter the size or difficulty. He trusts me with all his heart and the same goes for me with him."

Adrian rolled his eyes in response, "Enough with all of the love crap already, it's getting irritating."

"That's because you've never experienced love before Rian."

"And hopefully, I never will. Being a whipped bitch like Rey is the last thing I'd want to be."

Before Freya could retort, everyone's phones signaled that a notice was received.

Great. Right before second period starts. This had better be good.

Barbie Generation Column

Dear Scandalous Duo,

Never have I ever doubted you two as a couple. I happily ship Frelian. However, it appears as though I was wrong. My beloved Golden Prince seems to have fallen for a new princess. It may have looked harmless but well, just take a look the picture I have provided below before you judge. As for my Lady Fortune, she doesn't look too lonely. I will not condemn you for flirting with that piece eye candy, he certainly looks appetizing.

(One picture of Arlyss kissing Freya's hand. Another picture of Aurelian with his arms around a girl with long, platinum blonde hair.)

What happened to our Barbie and Ken couple? Trouble in paradise, perhaps?

Sincerely but Never Yours,

BG Anonymous

~ BG ~

Freya could not react. Trouble in paradise? What the hell is this?!

She stared at the pictures. One was of her and the freshman she was socializing with just minutes ago, the other . . . it was her boyfriend with a pretty blonde in his arms. Her eyes widened in recognition. That was Euphemia! Regina's younger sister!

Freya heard Adrian's voice in the distance but, she couldn't make out the words he was saying. He must have been trying to calm her down or something along those lines.

This has to be a lie! Freya thought to herself. A really sick, twisted, insane lie! Who would ever believe this crap? Lian would never do this to me! Who the hell did that little bitch think she was?!

"Frey," Adrian's voice became clearer, "Frey, it's just the normal BG trash talk. She has no idea what she's talking about. Calm down."

It was true but . . . she also never lied. Freya knew that much. BG did sometimes interpret things wrong but, she never lied . . . pictures don't lie . . . and the look on Lian's face . . . he's never looked at her like that . . . .

"Remember what you just told me, about how your love was indestructible? Your bond is solid, Frey, no one can break you."

Freya felt the shock leave her and a new wave of emotions flooded over her. She shouldn't give in, that would only feed the flames. She needed to keep her calm.

She made the mistake of looking at the picture of Aurelian and Regina's succubus of a sister once more. Forget what she should do. She just lost it.

"Frey?"

She let out an angered, frustrated scream, "AAAAAAAAARRRRGGGHHHHHH!"

 ~ BG ~

Everyone was staring at her. Even Mrs. Harrison was gawking at her like she had three heads. So . . . this must be what celebrities feel like on a daily basis.

Euphemia looked back at her cell. It wasn't like how BG perceived it to be at all. These guys were fooling around and running rampant through the hallway like imbecilic chickens with their heads chopped off. One of them bumped into her and she happened to stumble into Aurelian's arms, big deal. She recognized him as one of her older sister's friends and they chatted for a while before heading off to their classes.

She was probably going to be classified as the school's homewrecker for possibly breaking up the Barbie and Ken couple of the junior class. Not that she cared.

If his girlfriend has trust issues then that's her problem, not mine. Euphemia thought.

Just then, the classroom door opened. A girl awkwardly stepped into the classroom with a pass in hand.

She walked right up to Mrs. Harrison and held out her pass while grinning nervously, "Hi, sorry I'm late. I was in the nurse's office and then I got lost so, I ended up in the principal's office to ask for directions which also happens to be at the other side of the school . . . ." She noticed Mrs. Harrison looking at her strangely and scanned the room before asking, "I am in the right classroom, right? 'Cause that would be really embarrassing if I wasn't. . . . You are Mrs. Harrison and this is AP World History, Room 154 . . . right?"

Euphemia couldn't help but, smile. That girl was strange. However, she couldn't shake the feeling that the girl was familiar somehow. It was odd. You'd think she'd remember a girl as peculiar as her.

Mrs. Harrison seemed to snap out of whatever trance she was in and took the pass that the girl had offered her.

She cleared her throat, "Ella Prochazka? Ah, yes. Put your summer work in the bin to your right, please. After that, you may sit wherever you like and we will get started with class."

Her name certainly didn't ring any bells. So, what was it then? She didn't look like anyone Euphemia knew but, she felt like she had seen that girl before.

Ella put her summer work in the bin and began walking down the aisle closest to Euphemia's desk. Ella sat herself in the one next to the platinum blonde and began to take out a binder and pencil case from her bag. Euphemia took notice of her attire. It was nothing amazing really, just washed out skinny jeans, a pair of white converse, a white camisole and a thin, light green, button-up cardigan. Ella then tucked her side bangs behind her ear—she had straight, shoulder-length, dirty blonde hair—and looked about the classroom with a tentative nature.

That's when it hit her.

Her eyes fell upon Euphemia and curiosity sparked in her hazel orbs. Euphemia was leaning her chin against her hand, most of her weight on her left side. She smiled slightly which Ella returned the gesture before they both turned their attention back to their history teacher.

When class finally ended Euphemia decided to make her move.

"Hey," she greeted as she stood up from her seat.

The girl put all her items in her bag and cheerily said, "Hi." Ella quickly offered her hand, Euphemia casually shook it. "I'm Ella."

"Euphemia," she told the girl calmly.

They then both walked out of Mrs. Harrison's classroom silently, which Euphemia didn't really mind. She ignored all the sleazy and foul looks she was receiving. Ella seemed to take notice after just a few steps.

"Wow," she sighed, "you must be really popular."

Euphemia gave her a side glance and smirked, "Not intentionally."

They both giggled at this.

"What class do you have now?"

"Earth Science," she sighed.

"Honors?"

"Of course," Euphemia answered while shrugging. Just because she was a blonde didn't mean that she couldn't be in the advanced placement and honors classes but, it's not like she was enthusiastic about being in them.

"Cool! So do I! Wow, what a coincidence!" Ella squealed with glee.

Euphemia raised an eyebrow and looked at her curiously, "Are you new in town by any chance? You don't seem like someone who was born and raised here." In other words, not a conniving bitch like the rest of them.

"Well," she said, "I just moved here a little over a week ago."

As they came closer to their classroom, Euphemia leaned over and whispered a question to her, "Were you the mystery girl on BG's Column today, the one who was 'whisked away' by Roxan Jack?"

Ella's eyes widened in utter shock. She opened her mouth to speak but, nothing came out. She could not even manage to stutter a coherent word.

"It's okay," Euphemia told her, "I won't tell a soul. I know how it feels like to be watched by everyone just because you were written about in a stupid gossip column. Especially since what was implied was clearly a false allegation."

"You were the girl on the last notification?"

She nodded her head, "The one and only homewrecker."

"Way to already make a name for yourself, you may just become a new Barbie."

Euphemia rolled her eyes. In all honestly, that was something that she wanted to avoid at all costs. She had seen what it had done to her sister, all the damage being an object of gossip was. However, as much as she dreaded it, she knew it was her fate. Ignoring it would prove to be inevitable.

They arrived to their science classroom with two minutes to spare since it was relatively close to history. As expected, all eyes were on her the second they walked into the room. Who would think anything otherwise? Euphemia was BG's latest blast, being a victim of her—assuming BG is a female—posts was something that she was going to have to deal with for the remainder of her high school life.

"Yo Reginald, I saw you on BG bro!"

"You gon' tap that ass soon?"

"Dude, she's your ticket in! I'd hurry up and get in on that if I were you."

Euphemia looked towards the doorway to find six guys crowding it. In the center was a tanned male with long, straight, dark brown hair tied into a low ponytail that was draped over his shoulder. His eyes were a bright, cerulean blue that drew you in due to their contrast with his complexion and hair color. She immediately recognized him. He was the other freshman from BG's latest post, the guy that Freya was flirting with.

He was the best friend of a childhood friend of hers. They had had a few classes together here and there throughout the years but, they didn't really know one another.

He chuckled, "Guys, you've got it all wrong. It wasn't like that at all, really."

The blond-haired kid standing next to him slapped him on the back in a jokingly manner, "Stop playing Rege, we all know you wanna—"

The blond suddenly stopped his obnoxious blabbering and cocked his head in Euphemia's direction, "Hey, isn't that the whore everyone's talking about?"

She rolled her eyes. Of course, it was always the girl's fault. Yes Ella, she thought, it seems as though I have really made a name for myself.

The tanned teen's cerulean eyes met with Euphemia's icy blue ones, he seemed to also know who she was. He smirked and began walking in her direction.

"Hey," he greeted.

"Hi," she responded in a nonchalant manner.

He looked at Ella who was too busy fishing for something in her bag. Euphemia poked her on the shoulder. She jumped slightly in response.

Ella raised her head to look at her new friend, "Yes."

Euphemia's eyes pointed to the guy standing in the aisle between their desks.

"Oh, hi! I'm Ella Prochazka. It's nice to meet you uh . . ." she trailed off.

Her worried hazel eyes looked to the platinum blonde sitting beside her, expectantly. Euphemia only shrugged, she couldn't care enough to remember his name.

"Arlyss Reginald," he informed with a charming grin.

"Oh, right. Anyway," Ella smiled brightly, "it's nice to meet you Arlyss."

He then looked back at the other girl.

"Euphemia Yap."

He nodded and said, "Nice to meet you too, ladies."

Ella giggled.

"It was a pleasure." Euphemia added with a sarcastic tone.

"I'm sure it was," someone snickered.

A ginger boy appeared next to Arlyss with a devious grin on his handsome features.

"You never change, do you Hewy?" Euphemia asked with a sigh.

"Fifi," he acknowledged, "still as lovely as ever I see."

The redheaded boy—otherwise known as Mano Hugh—and Euphemia were neighbors. Their mothers were best friends so naturally, they basically grew up together.

"So, I hear you're a whore now. I can be your pimp. I'll get guys lining up with the cash already in their hands."

She laughed dryly, "You're the last guy in the universe I'd ever let be my pimp."

Before he could respond, the bell rang. Arlyss sat down in the desk in front of Euphemia whilst Hewy sat to the seat left of him.

Their teacher strutted into the room, "Hello class, I am Mr. Jensen and welcome to ninth grade honors ea—"

Mr. Jensen was interrupted by everyone's cellphones erupting in vibrations and rings.

How wonderful. I really don't wanna see what or who BG's writing about this time, Euphemia couldn't help but think.

Barbie Generation Column

Dear Eagerly Waiting Hatchlings,

I know you all have been waiting patiently for your new Barbies. This post—along with the many to come—will change the lives of three new dolls, as well as the other seven. Careful Queen, I may have just found your Achilles' heel with one of these lovely dolls.

Euphemia Yap, Arlyss Reginald and Ella Prochazka are the new and improved Barbies I have chosen. Congratulations you three.

Predictions of how these freshies will turn out and reasons as to why they were chosen:

Arlyss – The Player. Chosen for his flirtation session with my Barbie, Freya.

(One picture is of Arlyss kissing Freya's hand. Another is of Arlyss walking the halls.)

Ella – The Follower. Chosen for her role of being the damsel in distress and being whisked away from my Barbie, Roxan. Yes love, I finally found out who you are.

(One picture is of Ella being carried bridal style by Roxan. Another is of a confused Ella leaving the nurse's office with pass in hand.)

Euphemia – The Whore. Chosen for her flirtatious encounter with my Barbie, Aurelian.

(One picture is of Euphemia in Aurelian's arms. Another is of Euphemia walking alongside Regina.)

Don't worry; the titles are just a guess. . . . Although, it seems one of you has already proven me right. It's not even the end of the first day yet, sweetheart.

Welcome to the Barbie Generation. Once you are in, there is no way out. After all, it's better to be a fake somebody than a real nobody.

Sincerely but Never Yours,

Everyone's eyes were now trained on Ella, Arlyss and Euphemia.

What a coincidence that the three new Barbies happened to share the same third period class. Well, Euphemia already proved to be the slut. How much worse could it get?

3: Chapter 2: Hothouse
Chapter 2: Hothouse

Hey, sup party people! . . . Ok that was weird . . . . Anyway, last chapter I, for the most part, introduced the 4/5 female Barbies. Don’t fret, the last one will enter the story soon. So for this chapter, I will introduce my boys. All five male Barbies, in fact. So I tried my best to get inside a guy’s mind, let me know if I did well since I’m a girl and therefore, do not have the viewpoint of a male. Also, let me know if you like how this story is coming along or the stuff you dislike about it. All criticism is welcome. If anyone has any questions feel free to leave a comment or PM me, whatever feels best for you. I promise to get back to you, whether it be in the introductory before the next chapter or by PM. Anywoo, enough of my useless jibber jabber. Enjoy!

From last chapter, just to clear things up:

Regina Yap – Senior, 17 years-old

Freya Bonheur – Junior, 16 years-old

Euphemia Yap – Freshman, 14 years-old

Ella Prochazka – Freshman, 14 years-old

This chapter is loosely based on Hothouse by 78Violet, previously known as Aly & AJ. It has a different feel to it, a more indie one. I like it and let’s face it, there are quite a few “hothouse flowers” revealed in this chapter.

Chapter 2: Hothouse

"I'm telling you, it was nothing like that."

"Oh bullshit!" Freya threw her hands up in the air, "We both know that you're attracted to her! Just admit it already, Lian!"

Aurelian slapped his hand on his forehead. This was so frustrating. She was so frustrating. They've never fought like this before. His hand slid down his face with a haggard sigh.

"You're blowing this out of proportion," he told her.

She suddenly stopped pacing around the room. They were in his bedroom because she didn't want to cause a scene at school and have BG gossip about it later on.

"Excuse me, I'm what?"

Dammit.

Her intense turquoise eyes were wild with rage. He had to admit, she looked sexy when she was angry. Too bad he was the one her anger was towards.

"No, I'm not! I gave you everything! And what do you do?! You fricking leave me for that skank!"

Oh, here we go.

"She stumbled and I caught her. No big deal. Any other guy in my position would have done the same. Hell if it were Regi, you wouldn't have mind at all. They're sisters, they can't be that different."

Aurelian didn't understand what the big deal was. It wasn't like he kissed her or anything, it was all just a huge misunderstanding. He didn't even hug her.

"You're right. I wouldn't because I trust Gina and I know that she wouldn't ever try anything on you."

"So, what's the problem then?"

Freya let out an aggravated growl, "You're not getting the point! There's a reason I don't trust that two-faced whore! Now that she's a Barbie, I need to make sure she won't take away what's mine! Gina doesn't know who she really is!"

"And you do?" Aurelian scoffed.

"Yes, because I know something that Gina doesn't and if she did . . . well, it'd be the last of their close bond."

"What then? What's so horrible that Regi would cut off ties with her own sister if she found out?"

Freya hesitated for a moment, her eyes softening for a split second before hardening once more. She shook her head, "It's none of your business."

"Really? Okay, then I have no reason not to be on friendly terms with her sister."

"No! I don't want you around her!"

He chuckled. "Who do you think you are, telling me who I'm allowed and forbidden to be around? Sorry to break it to you Doll but, I can do whatever the hell I want."

She rolled her eyes and mumbled something. He barely caught what it was and that little comment set off a larger explosion than his irritating girlfriend.

"Rian was right, you are an asshole."

. . . Rian was right. . . .

Adrian Ritter. That bastard!

"Ritter?" Aurelian seethed, "You want to talk shit to me about some random girl? Fine, two can play at this game! You come in here, screaming at me about some girl whose name I don't even recall; yet, every day, every single day I see you skipping around the halls with that little dipshit, Ritter!"

"Rian's not a threat to you, though! He's just my friend! Don't go turning this around on me!"

"Yeah, what about that freshman then? Huh?"

Her eyes dropped to stare at the floor.

"Look at me goddammit!"

Freya raised her blazing eyes to meet his, "It was innocent!"

"Oh, don't be such a goddamn hypocrite! If anything, I should be ganging up on you, nagging about some worthless twat you were purposely flirting with!"

"Okay, fine, you win! We both did stupid things. Can we please just . . . stop fighting now?"

Aurelian looked into her watery, turquoise eyes and at her quivering, pouty, pink lips. He heaved a sigh. Yeah, this girl brought out the worst and best sides of him; she was the only woman he would do anything for.

"Okay," he whispered in agreement.

Her face broke out into a breathtaking smile. Yeah, that was why he loved this girl.

He stepped closer to her and brought his hands up to cup her cheeks, stroking them gently. She leaned to his touch. Moments like these made their relationship worth it. Plus, the make up sex was amazing. He leaned in to kiss her awaiting lips when a knock sounded at his door.

Aurelian groaned, which caused Freya to giggle in the adorable way she always did.

He straightened himself and approached the door. He wrenched open the door to see a blonde-haired, pre-teen with aquamarine eyes glaring at him. That little girl was his cousin, Jenevie Janette Valborga.

He arched an eyebrow, "What Blue Jay?"

She rolled her eyes at him, "Is that really all you can say after all this time?! I've been waiting for you forever to pick me up from school! I told you that I didn't have cheer practice today!"

Aurelian just shrugged, "You're here now, aren't you?"

"That's not the point! I had to walk home! It took me over an hour and a half! And before that, I was waiting around for you like an idiot for basically another two hours! Do you know what could have happened to me? I could have been kidnapped or murdered or raped! I called and texted you like crazy! You couldn't have picked me up before lacrosse practice started? It's not even lacrosse season yet! I mean, don't yo—"

She shut her trap the moment her eyes caught sight of Freya. "Oh, that's why."

She flipped her straight, golden hair over her shoulder and walked towards her room. You could probably hear her door slam in Russia, it was so loud.

Aurelian felt two thin arms snake around his waist. "You know," he said, "I never understood why she hates you so much."

"It's because she feels like I took you away from her."

He just nodded. In a way, that made sense. His parents took her in when she was just a toddler since her parents died in a car crash. She grew up as his "little sister". Beforehand, he was an only child. So, having a sibling was something that he cherished.

He turned around to face his beautiful girl. Her eyes sparkled with joy. Thank God they made up, he didn't know what he would do if he lost her.

"Lian," she whispered softly.

"Yeah?"

She grasped his face in her small hands, "I'm so sorry."

He couldn't help but, grin. "Yeah," Aurelian said, "me too."

"I love you."

He watched her eyes drifted to his mouth.

Hey, he'll get laid tonight after all.

We made up! Thanks for the great advice! Love you! xoxo —FB

Adrian gritted his teeth and deleted the message.

Of course, I'm always the maid cleaning up your messes.

Regina's voice snapped him out of his thoughts, "Where's Bonnie and Beauty? They were supposed to be here over an hour ago."

Oswald smirked and cocked his head towards Adrian, "Judging by his sour face, I'd say they're probably having make up sex by now."

"Oz," he addressed with a warning tone.

"What? It's not healthy to fawn over a girl who only has eyes for someone else."

The dark-haired male scoffed, "Oh, don't be such a hypocrite."

His pale green eyes flickered towards Regina, who was too busy texting someone on her phone. That caused a glower from Oswald.

"Don't group me with the likes of you. My situation is different." The strawberry blond growled quietly.

He shrugged, "Whatever you say."

"Roxi." Regina called.

The quite, curly-haired nerd lifted his eyes away from the laptop screen. His eyes reflected how pissed he was for being interrupted from whatever crazy shit he was doing.

"Have you got the latest update?"

He rolled his eyes lazily and returned his attention back to his laptop before replying, "A small gig in Florence. Featured in Teen Vogue."

Her eyes nearly fell out of her sockets. However, she quickly returned to her nonchalant façade. She then commented dryly, "Is that so? How precious."

Adrian knew who they were referring to without them mentioning the bitch's name. All of them did by now. Regina never got over Lucky. She was the thorn in her side; the ticking time bomb, threatening to explode at any given moment. He never understood why though. It wasn't like she could really do anything worse than she already had. There was no need to worry anyway, she wasn't going to come back.

"Who's going to give the rookies the survival guide?" Adrian asked in an attempt to change the subject.

Regina flipped her hair and replied with a smirk, "That, my friend, is Roxi's job this year."

His head snapped up at that. "Why me?" Roxan asked.

"Because," she said matter-of-factly, "you're the sophomore. That's your job."

"No, that's the girl's job. Not mine."

Here we go. Back to square one. Adrian thought as he shook his head.

Regina smiled tightly, "I know that but, since we are short of a female sophomore Barbie, the roll is passed onto you."

"Why not have Freya do it? She did it last year and she did a fine job."

"For two reasons," she said. "One, she already did it last year and two, she doesn't get along well with Effie."

Roxan sighed, "Don't make me do it Regi."

She giggled at his plead, "Too bad, I am. But because you begged, I'll only give you one. In any case, Effie knows everything already. You can take the other girl. Adri can take the guy, since he's also on the soccer team."

Adrian nodded. Anything to get my mind off of Rey and Frey. Ha, what do you know? Even their names fricking rhyme, like they were meant to be or some shit.

"It's not all that bad." Oswald added, "All you have to do is show her around the school and tell her the guidelines to being a Barbie. Plus, who knows, maybe Miss Goody-Two-Shoes will even give you a good lay as a 'thank you'. You two can lose your virginities together! How sweet."

Adrian chuckled.

"Shut up," Roxan murmured.

"Oh yeah! I forgot to ask you about her, Prince Charming." Regina teased.

"It wasn't anything like that." Roxan defended, his face tinged a pinkish hue.

"Is that so?" Adrian probed, "Then, why did you carry her to the nurse's office? Aren't you supposed to be the school's Jack Frost? Who knew that under all that ice was a warm, beating heart."

He growled, "Any of you would've done the same in my position."

"Yeah but, we're gentlemen." Oswald stated, matter-of-factually. "You're that douche that avoids women like the plague. I always speculated that you were gay."

Roxanscowled and glared menacingly at Oswald, "What are you getting at?"

"No, he lets me hug him." Regina plopped herself down on the couch to sit beside him and wrapped her arms around his neck for emphasis. "See," she placed a chaste kiss on his cheek. He twitched.

The two green-eyed males laughed.

Last year, Regina and the girls would always tease him. Roxan was the only male Barbie who didn't love women's attention, which only caused them to give him more attention. People perceived him to be arrogant, believing that no girl in their school was good enough for him. Rumors went around saying that he only was interested in older women. None of that was true. He was just extremely shy when it came to the opposite sex and tried covering it up by being an unapproachable asshole.

"Can you get off of me now?" he asked impatiently.

"I don't wanna!" Regina whined, "You're so warm."

She nuzzled her head into the crook of his neck which caused him to stiffen. She looked up at him with innocent, pleading eyes and ran her fingers through his curls.

Roxan kept struggling to keep his attention on his laptop.

Poor kid. Adrian thought.

Regina took notice of that as well and snatched his laptop away from him. She put it on the coffee table before making herself comfortable on his lap and resuming in the position she was in earlier.

Adrian glanced sideways to catch Oswald recording the whole thing on his phone while snickering. He rolled his eyes and shook his head. Inwardly, he sighed. At least hanging around these buffoons will keep my mind off of you a little while longer.

Roxan felt her breath on his ear, she chuckled. She knew she had an effect on him.

Dammit Roxan, calm down! You need to calm the hell down. She can't know. She can't know!

"Roxi," she whispered, "I need you."

"Please, I'll do anything! I need this! I need you!"

"Let's go upstairs, where we can be alone."

"Come alone. I'll be waiting."

"It will be our little secret."

"No one has to know. It'll just be between us."

This is just a joke. Everyone knew that she was just teasing him. Stop comparing them idiot!

"This doesn't change anything . . . right?"

Wrong.

"Well?"

"Please don't tell anyone!"

"Regina."

"Hm?"

"Enough." Roxan said with a warning tone.

She sat up slightly straighter with a concerned expression, "What's wrong?"

Tell her. This can't keep eating away at you. It's not healthy.

He looked into her awaiting, icy blue eyes. He froze. His throat felt dry. He opened his mouth but, no words came out. He quickly shut it and looked down at his shoes. "Please stop teasing me," he mumbled instead.

Dammit.

Without questioning any further, she complied and stood up from his lap. She flashed Roxan a mischievous grin, "Well, since you asked nicely." She ruffled his curly hair before whispering in his ear, "I'm a great listener, if you're ever in need of one."

With that, she sauntered over to the armchair next to the one Adrian was sitting in and picked up her purse.

"Well, it seems like our Barbie and Ken couple aren't going to show up anytime soon. This meeting is now over."

"This was a meeting?" Oswald asked with sarcasm dripping from his tone, "Oh, I thought we were all just hanging out before the freshman came in and ruined everything. My mistake."

Regina rolled her eyes, "Shut up, you faggot."

"Excuse me?"

"You're excused."

"Excuse you."

Adrian whacked him on the back of the head, "Shut up, you dipshit."

"You fricking cocksucker, get the hell out of my house you gay little shit!"

Roxan sighed and grabbed his laptop. He put it in its case before slipping it inside of his schoolbag.

"Later Oz," he said while walking past him.

"What the hell? None of these fricking turds knows how to address their King."

Roxan rolled his eyes and chuckled.

~ BG ~

Roxan yawned.

The next thing he knew, a pale hand was snapping in his face.

"Are you even listening to me?" Regina asked impatiently.

He shook his head in a lazy fashion. He really wasn't, he was too tired. She knew that too. She texted him in the middle of the fricking night telling him to hack into the school system to get the schedules and locker numbers of the two Barbies Adrian and him were assigned to give a tour to. She couldn't have told him when we were at Oswald's? Seriously? Did she think hacking into a database like that undetected was a piece of cake? Well, it wasn't. One wrong move and the police would be at your doorstep.

She gave an irritable sigh before smiling tightly, "You printed it out right?"

Roxan opened his bag and pulled out the papers. He handed them to her, which she gladly took.

"Perfect!" Regina cheered in glee and looked through them.

"That's all of Reginald's information that Rian needs. I have Prochazka's already on my phone."

She nodded, "Very good. Follow me."

He quietly obeyed. They ended up at Freya's locker where she was currently in a make out session with Aurelian.

Regina cleared her throat. Miraculously, they separated from each other. He honestly didn't know whether they had sensed her presence or just heard her.

"Morning! Don't you two seem closer than ever."

The brunette giggled. The blond male just grinned.

"Sorry we couldn't make it yesterday." Freya apologized.

Regina just waved it away, "Oh, don't worry about it. Whatever you two were doing was probably way more important to your relationship then lounging around in Ozzie's basement with your friends."

Only Regina knew how to bitch slap you with the sweetest of smiles. Aurelian didn't even realize it, it was so smooth. Freya did though, her smile faltered.

"Beauty, you wouldn't mind if I stole Bonnie from you for a few seconds, would you?"

The look she directed at Aurelian demanded that he comply.

He just shrugged, "Sure."

With a smile, the platinum blonde dragged Freya a few feet away from the two males. She handed the papers to her, probably telling her to give them to Adrian without her boyfriend knowing. Everyone knew of their strong dislike for one another.

I guess it's only natural for two guys who like the same girl to hate each other, Roxan supposed.

It wasn't long before they came practically skipping back.

"Thanks Beauty, you're the best!" Regina cooed.

She then waved at the couple before walking away. Roxan followed suit.

They walked down the corridor until they finally spotted the freshman they were looking for. Regina stepped in front of him, stopping him before he could go any further.

"Okay, so here's what you're going to do. You're going to stay right here while I go approach her by her locker."

"And then?"

She smirked, "You'll know when I need you."

She turned and sauntered up to the girl. It wasn't long until all eyes landed on the Queen Barbie. The girl could only look up at her in awe, which Roxan could relate to.

He remembered last year, when she walked up to him. There she was, this gorgeous goddess with her long, curled, platinum blonde hair; her straightened, straight across bangs and her longlashed, piercing, icy blue eyes. She came up to him and talked to him.

"So, you're Roxi's mystery blonde," she stated while giving the girl a once over.

From the looks of it, the freshman couldn't form the words to respond.

She grinned and put out her hand while introducing herself, "Regina Yap. Queen Barbie."

The freshman composed herself before doing the same, "Ella Prochazka. Newbie Barbie, apparently."

"Meet me after school by the front entrace, Ellie."

"R-Really? No way! Are you joking?" Obviously she was shocked at the offer. Made no sense though, in Roxan's opinion.

He could almost picture a delicate eyebrow rise as she questioned, "Are you rejecting me?"

The girl shook her head vigorously and said a little too suddenly, "No! I'd love too."

Regina looked over her shoulder with a smirk playing on her lips. Her eyes directed on Roxan,"She's ready for you."

And just like that, she was strutting down the hallway. Typical Regina.

He stuffed his hands in his pockets and strolled towards the freshman Barbie, who was currently gaping at Regina's departing figure.

So, it seems BG's right again. This is the follower Barbie, another Cece.

"Lesson 1: Don't gawk in awe at your fellow Barbies. You are at the same level playing field now."

She blinked and turned to face Roxan. Her eyes widened in recognition before turning to stare back at Regina's fleeting silhouette.

"S-Same level? With someone like that?"

He nodded apathetically.

"Oh! I never thanked you for yesterday."

"No need. You were passed out cold on the floor. You couldn't have, even if you wanted to."

Her laugh was melodious. "Yeah but, then the BG blast . . . ."

"You'll learn quickly that BG has her favorites and holds quite a grudge." He said, ignoring what she had said.

Her eyebrows crinkled in a—somewhat—cute manner, "I thought BG was anonymous."

Roxan rolled his eyes at her oblivious nature. Follower for sure and a dumb one at that. "Obviously. Why else would she still be posting crap?"

"Then, how do you know she's a female?" Follower Barbie asked as she followed Roxan down the hall.

"What guy in his right mind would refer to us as Barbies?"

"A gay one," she piped up.

He spared her a glance, "You're cute."

She flashed him a bright smile in return, "Thanks."

Roxan deadpanned. She had to know that he didn't mean that as a compliment in the slightest.

"But really, do I look nice today? I mean, doesn't being a Barbie mean you have to look fabulous all the time? I put this together this morning and I don't really know if it's great or anything. If you could give me some advice, it'd be greatly appreciated."

He gave her a once over. She had on a short, long sleeved, hunter green sweater dress with a brown belt and cowgirl boots. Her dirty blonde hair was curled. She even had on makeup; smokey eye shadow, thick mascara, lip gloss.

"You weren't chosen for your style or your personality. BG picked you because she saw something in you that reminded her of a past Barbie."

She quirked an eyebrow but, said nothing.

Roxan turned back around and kept heading down the hallway.

"Wait! You never answered my question!"

He felt her grab his bicep.

"Wait! Just consider it! I know you love me, Jackie!"

Shit.

"Do this . . . for me. You will if you really love me."

He quickly shrugged her off, "Don't."

Roxan turned to face her. Judging from the look on her face, she misunderstood why he retaliated the way he did.

He sighed and raked a hand through his brown curls. Roxan quietly murmured, "You look beautiful."

Her hazel eyes bored into his brown ones. Her face broke out into a breathtaking, hopeful smile. "Really?"

He just nodded, that was really the only thing he could do at the moment.

"Thanks, it really means a lot to me."

The warning bell rang.

"I guess I'll see you later."

Her statement came out more as a question. Roxan nodded nonetheless.

"Sure."

~ BG ~

Arlyss felt someone tap his shoulder. He inwardly groaned. Not again.

He turned around and gave—what he hoped to be—a pleasant smile.

"Hi."

"Hey! You're Arlyss Reginald, right?"

Not this again. He refrained from rolling his eyes. "That's me."

"Yay! I'm Courtney." The blonde batted her fake eyelashes, "I was wondering if you wanted t—"

"Arlyss!" A sudden weight latched onto his back, arms and legs circled around him like snakes choking their prey. Wisps of silver blonde hair tickled his neck and arms as she whispered in a sultry voice, "I've been looking for you everywhere."

He smirked upon recognizing who it was, "Well, you found me."

She released him and looked at Courtney.

"Look who it is, the Whore."

Euphemia feigned a look of innocence, "And you are?"

Courtney's look of superiority dropped.

"Oh, that's right. No one gives a shit." Euphemia grinned and ordered her away with a her icy blue eyes, "You can go now."

Courtney just flipped her hair and angrily stomped away.

Arlyss chuckled, "Wow. I never thought I'd see the day you would be all over me, Koala. Isn't it kind of soon to be so intimate?"

She scoffed, "Oh, please. I did that out of the kindness of my heart. We both know you needed that way more than I did."

"Yeah, I guess I did."

"Where's your posse?"

"Looking for Hugh?" Arlyss asked.

They look real close, maybe Hugh will even get the balls to ask her out soon. He's been crushing on her since forever. Arlyss was actually surprised that they weren't going out already. From the way he talked about her, he seemed like he was in love with her.

She shook her head, "Trust me; if I were looking for that dipshit, I'd already be beating the crap outta him."

Well, that would sure be a beautiful relationship.

"No. Actually, I was looking for Ozzie. He's so hard to locate though."

"What do ya need him for?" Alryss asked.

Something flashed in her eyes. He wasn't sure what it was. It was gone as soon as it came.

She looked away from him and said dismissively, "Oh, my sister just wanted to talk to him about something and told me to go find him for her."

"Why didn't she just text him?"

She just shrugged, "I dunno. Why don't you go ask her yourself?"

And just like that, she walked off to go find "Ozzie". Whoever that was.

He just watched her walk off. She's so strange, that girl. One thing's for sure though, she's one hell of an actress. She's so fake. Her personality is like a second skin. It's so transparent, it almost looks natural to the blind eye. In reality, she's probably nothing like the girl Hugh describes her to be. In fact, she's probably more of a true Barbie than her sister is.

"Reginald."

Arlyss turned around to see Adrian casually walking towards him. He didn't even know him for that long but from what he could see, the varsity captain seemed out of it. Yesterday at practice their coach pulled him aside. He told him that if he couldn't pull it together, he'd have to bench him for the first game. Not only was he the team captain but also, the MVP. He basically controlled the whole game and had crazy footwork, he could even make it to a professional level if he wanted to.

"What's up, Captain?"

He sighed, "Nothing. I just feel like I'm coming down with something."

Yeah, okay. Sure, whatever you say.

"Hopefully it's not serious," Arlyss told him.

"I don't know," he said while looking off to the side, "I have a feeling it's not going to lighten up anytime soon."

Both of their phones vibrated, along with the many others belonging to students that were irrelevant.

Arlyss took out his phone and grimaced.

Barbie Generation Column

Dear Depressed Romantics,

There's no need to be solemn anymore, it seems as though our Barbie and Ken couple have set aside their moments of weakness and reconciled. Sorry ladies, the Golden Prince will not be returning to the venue anytime soon if Lady Fortune has anything to say about it.

For all those who supported their breakup, doesn't it hurt knowing that you won't get your chance? It's alright, there are other fish in the sea. Plus, quite a few of my Barbies aren't taken. Have fun trying to catch their eyes.

Sincerely but Never Yours,

BG Anonymous

Arlyss raised his eyes to look at his captain. Adrian's eyes were intently staring at the screen of his cellphone, his emotionless face became grave before turning apathetic once more. It must have had something to do with the junior that flirted with Arlyss yesterday and essentially made him a Barbie. The guy she was currently in the arms of was probably her boyfriend, the other male Barbie from the "cheating scandal" blast from yesterday.

The younger of the two patted his captain's back in a reassuring silence.

Adrian's pale green eyes looked at the tan-skinned male  beside him blankly.

"Her loss," Arlyss offered.

He chuckled half-heartedly, "Yeah, and mine too."

~ BG ~

"I finally found you."

In front of him—blocking the only exit of the empty classroom, besides the windows—was none other than Euphemia Yap. He closed his eyes and sighed. Another girl he didn't want to see at the moment.

"I need to talk to you."

"Not now," he told her. Oswald came into this empty classroom in order to sleep, not to be harassed.

She stormed up to him and pulled out one of his earphones. "Yes now."

"Look," he said irritably, "what happened last week meant nothing and if you're smart, you won't tell anyone about it."

"You had to have told someone." Euphemia accused. "Why else would I be titled as 'the Whore'?"

He chuckled, "It's not my fault you'll open your legs to any guy that compliments you."

In an instant, her hand collided with his face. He frowned and carefully touched where she had slapped him. "Do you have to be so violent?" Oswald chided.

"You jerk! Last time I checked, you came onto me! That's called rape, jackass!"

He rolled his eyes, "No, that's not rape and let me tell you why." Oswald stood up from his previously laying position so that he could tower over the annoying freshman and possibly intimidate her more. "You welcomed me into your room, onto your bed knowing full well what I wanted. You kissed me first, initiating the entire thing. It's not my fault that I don't want anything to do with you anymore. I fucked you and frankly, I'm done with you. So now, you can just leave me alone and wallow in your own self-pity for giving up your virginity to a guy who doesn't give a shit about you."

"You took advantage of me! My boyfriend had just broken up with me because I wouldn't have sex with him! You knew you could get an easy lay so you pretended to care and slept with me without me really wanting to! That's rape!"

"Oh, is that so? But of course, it wasn't rape when you were telling me to go faster, was it? Not when you were screaming for me to go harder. Yep, I totally fucked you unwillingly. You've made your point, scurry along now."

She gritted her teeth.

Oswald picked up the earphone she had taken out. Before he was able to put it back in his ear, she interrupted him again.

"You raped me while you were drunk out of your mind! You have no idea what happened!"

He sighed, "I wasn't drunk enough not to be able to function properly. Do I really have to go through all of this with you again?"

"You slept with me, thinking I was my sister!"

Oswald scoffed, "No, I knew it was you the entire time. Did I pretend it was Regina? Yeah, I did. That, actually, was the only reason why I fucked you. You should be grateful I even gave you the time of day."

A lone tear slid down her cheek. She screamed, "You asshole!"

She burst out of the room, probably heading for the girls' bathroom or some shit like that so BG wouldn't catch her.

Maybe he shouldn't have gone that far. The last thing he wanted was for this mistake to get out.

Oswald looked towards the clock and yawned. School ended in four minutes. Finally.

He placed his headphones in his ears and strolled out into the corridor. Oswald leisurely made his way to the front entrance, making sure to wink at every hot girl on the way there.

When he finally caught sight of her, all the other sluts faded away. She was the only girl that he wanted but, couldn't have. It's not that he wasn't good enough—let's face it, no woman could resist his charms—she just wasn't ready for him yet. She had someone else. He was a very selfish person and didn't like to share a girl with another guy, especially with a douche like him. He wasn't in love with her or anything but, he did care for her. They were extremely close friends; he'd never treat her like he did the other ones. All he knew was that she wasn't ready for him yet and he was going to stick with what his gut told him.

Oswald approached her and greeted, "Hey."

She turned her head to look at him, "Ozzie, you made it! It's about time. I was explaining to the Rookies about what we're doing tomorrow."

He only nodded. He didn't even realize that she was with anyone even though she was Regina Yap, she always had an entourage.

Oswald looked at the three freshman that replaced Cécilia, Narcissa and Tilian. The weird, giddy girl was probably the new follower, like Cécilia previously was. Euphemia was obviously the new Narcissa, being the whore that she was. The guy though, the new Player. He was going to have to watch him 'cause if he was anything like Tilian. Well . . . nothing like that will happen ever again. He'll make sure of it.

He noticed Euphemia refraining from looking at him, obviously to keep from crying or screaming or whatever. He had to give it to her though; she was a great actress to be able to hide something from her sister, must come from their lineage or something. Their little brother, Jude, always seemed to be ahead of everyone else, just like Regina.

Oswald inwardly sighed, He's gonna be one hell of a prick when he grows up. He's already a mini Satan in the making.

Regina dismissed the three and turned her attention towards him. She sighed before smiling innocently.

"What?" Oswald asked.

"Let's go get a drink."

Knowing that it was a command made it all the harder to deny her in what she wanted. Regina never made suggestions and when she wanted something, she'd go at any lengths to make she got it.

"You know we shouldn't," he chided with a smirked.

"I know." Was all she said.

"You just came out of rehab."

She grinned, "It's only a glass of alcohol, Ozzie. It won't kill me."

He sighed.

"Now that Tilly's no longer here, I need a drinking buddy. Come on, please Ozzie? You can decide when we stop."

Hey, I'll take it. Oswald thought, anything to keep her away from that bastard.

"One drink."

She giggled and interlaced her fingers with his.

"One drink," she agreed.

Oswald chuckled, "It's not even happy hour yet."

"Not here but, somewhere on Earth it's five o'clock. Happy hour is every hour."

"Amen to that!"

For those of you who got confused during Adrian and Roxan's parts, Jack is another nickname of Roxan's. Along with Jackie, Roxi, Jack Frost, etc. Also, the bolded italics were flashbacks while regular italics were his thoughts. That part gets kind confusing. Let me know what you think of this chappie ;)!

4: Chapter 3: Marionette
Chapter 3: Marionette

Ello readers! So in the last chapter, I introduced all five male Barbies. I don’t really refer to them as Kens ‘cause . . . I don’t really know. Ken is considered a Barbie doll, I guess that’s why. Now that I’ve introduced them and gave you a taste of their personalities, the story’s really going to start getting into everything. I know that the whole Lucky thing is too hazy for some people to understand. It’s okay if you don’t completely get it, it’s supposed to be that way. Eventually, everything will link together and you’ll get a clear image of everything that revolves around this Lucky character. The fifth female Barbie will be entering the story soon. She’ll be featured in one or two more chapters. Also, the three Barbies that have already graduated will be included in the following chapters for plot reasons. If you have the time to spare, let me know who you’re favorite characters are so far and if you have any questions or song/story suggestions feel free to leave a comment or PM me. All criticisms are welcome. I promise to get back to you, whether it be in the introductory before the next chapter or by PM. Hope you enjoy this chapter!

From last chapter, just to clear things up:

Oswald King – Senior, 17 years-old

Aurelian Rey – Junior, 16 years-old

Adrian Ritter – Junior, 16 years-old

Roxan Jack – Sophomore, 15 years-old

Arlyss Reginald – Freshman, 14 years-old

This chapter is loosely based on Marionette by Antonia. I, personally, prefer the male version of the song but, the original is beautiful too. It’s just that the male version sounds sexier, probably ‘cause I’m a girl lol. It adds to the Barbies being controlled by BG and shows how some of the Barbies feel in their love lives.

Chapter 3: Marionette

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!

Argh!

Regina sluggishly rolled over to where the sound was coming from, only to be stopped by a wall. She moaned; her head hurt like a bitch. She blindly reached out for the alarm clock in order to stop the horrible, earsplitting sounds. She shoved the wall in attempt to get to the blasted, blaring pain in the ass.

The wall groaned. Regina grudgingly cracked her eyes open to find a smooth, sun-kissed, well-defined back blocking her from shutting off the alarm clock.

"Ozzie," she mumbled, "turn it off."

After a few seconds delay, he lazily reached out and silenced the damn contraption. Regina closed her eyes, finally being able to sleep in peace once more. Other then the headache, she was fine.

Regina felt the bed shift. She moaned in protest, she didn't want to be interrupted from her beauty sleep anymore.

"Mornin' Regi."

"Shut up," she growled.

She heard him chuckle. Why couldn't he just leave her be and let her sleep?

"Not a morning person, I assume."

"Not when she has a really bad hangover, she's not."

Regina's eyes snapped open upon recognizing that voice. She shot up into a sitting position to see the devilish grin on her little brother's cherub face.

She sighed, brushing her fingers through her hair while adjusting her tank top and shorts with her other hand to make herself at least look presentable. How was she going to explain this to him?

His eyes glanced between Ozzie and his sister. Judy suavely sauntered in and looked at Regina with a knowing look in those icy blue eyes of his.

He jumped onto the bed and made himself comfortable, "At least you didn't have sex 'cause that would've been awkward to walk in upon."

Regina felt her eyes widen.

Well, I guess there's no need to explain anything. Sometimes I find myself wondering how he knows the things he does, she thought.

"What do you want?" Regina asked while crossing her arms.

He simply shrugged, "I just wanted to see my beautiful, big sister is all. Anything wrong with that, Gigi?"

"Well, when it comes to you, your visits always have some sort of double meaning. Aren't I right, Judy darling?"

He chuckled, "You don't have to be so defensive. Calm down sis, I'm just here to deliver a message."

Out of nowhere, he took out an envelope. Had he had it the entire time?

Regina carefully took it from his small, awaiting hands. She quietly examined it. Labeled in calligraphy on the front was Gina and Effie.

"I figured I'd give it to you 'cause you'd be pissed if Mimi knew something before you did."

His sister opened the envelope to see what was inside. She took out a card with C&C written on the front in the same manner as the envelope.

"Cece and Cissy?" Ozzie suggested.

Regina nodded, "Definitely. Cece always did the invitations to all the formal parties the Barbies organized because of her amazing calligraphy. I have no doubt that this is her work."

She opened the invitation, it read:

The pleasure of your company is requested at the wedding of

Cécilia Thain and Narcissa Kóbor

on the thirty-first of December at the Thain Manor.

RSVP by the first of October.

Regrets only XXX-XXX-XXXX

Wait . . . what?

"Holy shit," Ozzie whispered aloud the exact thought that was in Regina's mind.

"Since when were they together?" Regina asked no one in particular.

"Since when were they lesbians?" Ozzie questioned. "I mean, I always knew Cissy was bisexual but . . . ."

"It doesn't matter how," she told him, "what matters is that none of us knew. How could they drop the bomb on us like that? They were close to us, they were close to me. God, it's like everybody's keeping secrets from me lately."

"Maybe they wanted it to be a surprise," Ozzie suggested. "You know how they love shit like that."

She sighed. That would seem like them.

"Well since you two clearly seem to need some space, I'm going to go to leave." Judy hopped off the bed and made his way towards the door. "Oh, and by the way." He turned his head to look at his sister, "If you're ever going to have sex, do it when there's no one around."

Regina rolled my eyes. Judy chuckled before exiting his sister's room.

"Are you sure he's only in the fourth grade?" Ozzie asked her.

She turned to face him. His face had a look of disbelief. She just shrugged, "Kids these days."

He chuckled and laid back down on the bed. Regina placed the invitation on top of her nightstand and followed suit. She turned her face to find his apple green eyes staring intently at her.

It seemed like they spent hours looking into each other's eyes when in reality, it was merely seconds.

"Regi," Ozzie hoarsely whispered.

"Hm?"

He didn't elaborate further, just kept the intense gaze.

Regina propped herself up on her elbow, resting her head on her palm. "What's up?

He opened his mouth to say something but before he could, the vibration of a cellphone interrupted him. She sighed and reached her idle hand backwards. Regina grabbed a hold of her cell and brought it towards her line of sight. It was a just a text. She smiled upon seeing who it was from. She unlocked her phone with the passcode and read what her Tilly had sent her.

I'll be in town next weekend. Let's meet up. TL

Classic Tilian, so vague, leaving her to set the time and place. He knew her so well. Regina always loved to keep things in her control.

It's a date. Pick me up at 7. We'll dine at that new restaurant that just opened up. You know, the one I told you about. RY

She sent it, still with a smile adorning her features.

"Who was that?" Ozzie asked curiously.

"Tilly."

He rolled his eyes and scoffed. She never understood why he hated him. He never even gave him a chance. They were so alike, you'd think they'd get along.

Her cell vibrated again.

Can't wait. TL

"Now," Regina set her phone back down and faced Ozzie once more, "what was it you were going to say?"

Ozzie glanced away from her and sat back up. "Nothing," he said.

She watched as he rose from the bed and picked his shirt off from the floor and slipped it on. He did the same with his jeans and shoes before turning back to look at her.

He gave her a half-hearted grin, "See you tomorrow on Freshmen Inauguration Day."

He turned around to head out the door.

Something was wrong. Something was wrong and she was going to get it out of him.

"Hey, wait." Regina called.

He stopped and looked at her with his brow raised.

"Let's go out tonight," she told him.

Ozzie looked taken aback by the sudden offer. He smirked and said, "I can't. I have a date tonight with Kiara."

"Cancel it. I'm sure she'll understand."

He let out a chuckle and shook his head, "God, what am I going to do with you?"

Regina smirked, "The question is: what would you do without me?"

"I'd be getting laid tonight."

"And who said by going out with me, you won't? I'm sure you'll snag some other wench at the party tonight. Maybe even two."

He nodded thoughtfully, "I'll take it."

"Pick me up at nine."

"You can count on nine thirty."

Regina laughed as he walked down the hall.

~ BG ~

I know it's below freezing outside but, can you meet me in the park now? —LJ

That text message . . . that damn text was the one that started it all and him being the idiot he was, obeyed like a loyal, mindless dog.

I'll be there in five. RJ

He rushed and made sure she didn't have to wait for long. He was sure she didn't even appreciate it. She never appreciated anything he did for her.

He remembered how beautiful she looked with her cheeks flushed from the cold, raving wind and her doe, brown eyes holding an innocent, pleading look. He remembered how her eyes lit up when she saw him and how elated he felt.

Dumbass. She never liked you. It was always someone else. How could you ever think that she would fall for you?

"Yay, you're here!" she giggled.

Her laugh, it was so melodious.

She skipped over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Thank goodness! I really need to ask you something extremely important."

Yes, I'll go out with you. I love you. You don't even have to ask.

As quickly as she hugged him, she let go. He didn't even get a chance to embrace her back. "I need a favor."

Anything for you. I'd give you the world.

"What is it?" Roxan asked.

She looked up at him and hesitated before stating, "I want you to have sex with me."

He remembered how his heart stopped at her words.

". . . W-What?" Roxan couldn't help but ask.

She bit her lip and meekly admitted, "I want to lose my virginity. There's no point in having it. It's really just a bother to me. Guys walk the other way because they don't want to deal with a virgin."

He became speechless when she told him those words.

"That's because you haven't found the right guy yet." Roxan tried to convince her, "A guy who really loves you would cherish you and love that you're still untouched."

"It's an inconvenience."

"It's not. You should hold onto it and wait for the guy who loves you as much as you love him."

How more simple this would be if you noticed how much I love you and how much this is killing me right now.

"Well, all of my friends don't have it. So, why should I?"

"Is that what this is about?" Roxan asked, shocked beyond belief. "You want to lose your virginity because Regi isn't a virgin?"

She pursed her lips, "You don't know how it feels to be the only female Barbie that's a virgin. Guys flock to them but, they ignore me because of my inexperience."

I'm a virgin. He wanted to tell her that then maybe, she wouldn't feel alone.

"You're doing this so boys will like you?"

I love you! Don't I matter?

"Well no, not boys . . . just one in particular."

He voiced his thoughts aloud. "If Oz doesn't want anything to do with you because you're a virgin then he obviously doesn't deserve you."

She sucked in a sharp breath.

He continued on, "No. I'm not going to have sex with you because you want to cave into peer pressure. I refuse to. I was raised with morals. I respect you too much to sink so low."

He turned around to walk away when her arms encircled his torso and she clung to his back, pressing herself against him.

"Wait! Just consider it! I know you love me, Jackie!"

His eyes widened. She knew . . . all this time. Heh. . . . So, that's why she targeted me. . . .

"I'm asking you this because I trust you. I know no one would treat me as gentle as you would. That's why I came to you."

She's using you because you're the easiest to convince. She doesn't have actual feelings for you.

Roxan sighed, "Lucky"

"Please, I'll do anything! I need this! I need you!"

Don't give in. You're stronger than that. Tell her no.

"Do this . . . for me? You will if you really love me." The pleading in her voice was evident.

Don't do it, Roxan! Say no! Tell her no!

"No one has to know. It'll just be between us."

That's not what I'm worried about.

"Please don't make me ask Tilian," she begged.

Tilian? You'd go to those lengths just for Oz to look at you. You should really know better than to do that.

"You wouldn't." Was all Roxan could manage to croak out. Didn't she know the effect she had on him?

She released her hold on him and turned him around by his shoulders. "I don't want to ask him. I hate him. Please, Jackie. I thought you loved me."

"I do love you." Roxan told her, "But, I can't do this."

"Yes, you can." Lucky insisted. She pressed herself against him and snaked her arms around his neck. She brought him down close enough for him to feel her hot, enticing breath on his lips. "And you will." She crashed her lips with his.

The kiss wasn't anything like he imagined it would be. It wasn't simple and sweet. There was no love, only instinct. The way she moved her lips against his was animalistic and purely lustful. She jumped up and wrapped her legs around his waist. She grinded herself on him, rotating her hips in a carnal way that Roxan didn't know she was capable of. Her fingers raked through his curls in such a manner that made him moan. She took his weakness as an advantage to stick her tongue in his mouth. Roxan latched his hands on her thighs, squeezing and rubbing her sensually. She whimpered as his tongue dominated over hers. It felt like they were kissing for hours before they stopped in order to catch their breaths.

He set her down but, still stayed at a dangerous distance. Too close. Out of her coat pocket, she drew out a slip of paper and handed it to him. He took it, too hazed by what had just trainspired to know what it was.

"Meet me at this address at nine, room 32C on the fourth floor. Come alone. I'll be waiting."

He didn't know what it was that made him accept her offer. Whether it was because he was blinded by his longtime love for her or how breathtaking she looked when they finally separated that brought out the lust craving incubus in him he didn't know existed; her face was completely flushed while heavily panting, trying to catch her breath. Whichever it was, maybe even both, he caved. Never had Roxan been so satisfied and so miserable in his life. He could have sworn she even called him by Oz's name. Though, he pretended that she didn't.

"This doesn't change anything . . . right?"

When she asked him that question, his world fell apart. Roxan felt as though his heart was ripped out of his chest.

He turned away from her and heard her shuffle around for her clothes. He swallowed the knot that had formed in his throat and nodded slowly. He didn't trust his voice for fear of it giving away how he truly felt inside.

"Please don't tell anyone!"

Roxan squeezed his eyes shut in order to stop the tears from welling up inside his eyes.

You knew what you were getting yourself into. Don't feel sorry for yourself, especially in front of her.

"Thank you Jackie, for everything."

Those were the last words she had spoken to him before she left the country. He refrained himself from socializing with her afterwards.

He turned his head back around in time to find her head out the door. Roxan could only watch her as she sauntered away, unsteadily. The effect of their intimate moment still coursed throughout her body.

The annoying ring of his cellphone brought him out of his wallowing memories.

Roxan looked at the caller id and saw the face of a girl who he'd never expect a call from.

He pressed accept and brought his cell to his ear, "What do you want?"

A giggle sounded on the other line. He rolled his eyes.

"Aw Frost, are you always this grumpy in the early hours of the day?"

"There better be a good reason for you to be calling me at this time in the morning."

She only laughed at his lethal tone.

"Chill Frost, it's only, like, ten in the morning. Don't pretend you weren't already awake when, in fact, I know you were."

He was but, that wasn't the point. "What are you, my personal stalker?"

"Sadly no, I just happen to know based on your voice. It's a talent I have."

He sat up from my bed and demanded, "Why are you calling me Cissy?"

"Can't an old friend just call from time to time to chat?"

"Bullshit," he told her. "What do you want?"

"Alright, alright. Cece and I need to talk to you. Can you meet us at Starbucks in about, say, ten minutes?"

He rolled his eyes and stood up; grabbing his laptop, knowing full well he'd need it. He put it in its traveling case and made his way towards the front door. "I'm already on my way."

"Yay! See you in a few, kiss kiss."

Roxan ended the call. Yeah, kiss kiss.

~ BG ~

She couldn't pry her eyes off of the text message.

I'll be in town next weekend. See you Friday night. Can't wait to catch up. TL

Friday?! Shit, that's too soon! Way too soon! Dammit!

Euphemia quickly deleted the text. She didn't need evidence like that lying around.

"What's got your panties in a twist?"

She gritted her teeth, "Shut up Judy. I'm not in the mood for your games."

From the corner of her eye, she saw a smirk slowly crawl its way onto his features.

I hate when he does that, she thought. Don't get me wrong. I love my brother, I do. It's just that . . . he's like the son of Satan or even the devil himself. He's way too smart for his age and always has a mischievous sparkle in his eye. He's not like a normal fourth grader, sometimes I feel like he's going to become a serial killer. He doesn't have any friends because he scares them all away. He loves to torture others with his mind games and omniscient knowledge of everyone's darkest secrets. He's worse than my sister and that's saying a lot.

"What games?" he asked innocently, whilst climbing on top of the kitchen island. "I just came here to inform you that your precious Ozzie is upstairs with Gigi."

"Excuse me?" Euphemia set her phone down on the counter behind her, in fear of it being kicked to the ground by Judy.

She didn't know where he was getting at. It's not like she liked Ozzie. At least, not really.

He chuckled in the way he always did when he had the upper hand, "Oh come on, sis. Your one-night stand with him is no secret."

Her eyes practically bulged out of their sockets. She turned around and opened one of the cabinets in a haste. She frantically searched for a cup while whispering harshly, "H-How did you know about that?!"

"You're honestly asking me the obvious? People in China heard you, I'm sure."

She fumbled with a cup. Grabbing it, she closed the cabinet quickly and spun around to face the little devil. He had heard her? No, that's impossible. In order to have heard them, he would've had to have been in the house. Which he wasn't. She was alone with Ozzie. He was with their mother.

"You're lying," she accused.

"Not really." Judy shrugged apathetically, "You know how Mother is."

He was right about that. Their mother wasn't exactly the "motherly" type. She was more of a money loving, partying whore than anything. It was rare that she ever acknowledged them. She only had children because their father didn't believe in abortions . . . and apparently condoms. He was murdered in a drug deal gone wrong. Turns out, he was the leader of some notorious underground gang. His three kids all got their deceitfulness from him, especially Judy. Their mother was like his personal hooker.

"So, are you excited for Friday?"

The sudden question alerted her. "What about Friday?" Euphemia played off nonchalantly.

"Oh, you know, with Tilly coming into town and all . . . ."

"I think you're asking the wrong sister. Gina's upstairs." Euphemia told him while setting the cup down with a slight quiver of her hand. She cursed at herself for letting her show weakness. It may have been unnoticeable for most but, her brother was extremely keen when it came to things such as this.

He only shook his head, "No, I mean you. I'm surprised that Gigi never found out about you two. I mean, it's so evident."

"What's so evident?"

He crossed his arms, "That you two have sex with each other. You've been involved with him since before Landon dumped you. Which, now that I think about it, makes no sense. If you were having sex with Tilly, what was the difference with doing it with your actual boyfriend?"

She couldn't respond. Judy rendered her speechless. He knew. Goddammit, he fucking knew.

The truth was, she didn't have sex with Landon because she was scared. Tilian was the one who forced himself on her, not Ozzie, and she blamed herself every day because of it.

She was nervous about sex because everybody else she knew was doing it and when Landon had first brought it up, she told him she was a virgin and that she wasn't ready yet. Her sister happened to ask Tilian to pick her up from school that day. She asked him for his opinion and he said that it was nothing to be scared of and offered to help her. At the time she didn't know that by "helping" her, he meant fucking her.

Euphemia fought back but, he was stronger than she was. He enjoyed every second of her pain. So much so that every time he saw the opportunity, he'd rape her again.

She always refused Landon's advances because she hated sex and was terrified by the prospect of doing it with someone she liked. He eventually got fed up with her and broke off their relationship.

Ozzie was looking for her sister that night when he stumbled upon her crying. Euphemia told him about Tilian raping her and Landon breaking up with her. He comforted her, saying that sex didn't have to be painful. So, she let him touch her. He made her feel . . . she couldn't really explain it. So yes, they did end up having sex because he showed her the pleasure in it and made her feel loved, unlike Tilian, and even though he was under the pretense that she was her sister, she didn't mind. Unfortunately, he didn't remember their conversation because he was drunk out of his mind.

So, she didn't particularly like him. She just liked the idea of him.

The sounding of footsteps brought Euphemia out of her thoughts.

Speak of the devil and he shall appear. Ozzie was laughing while coming down the stairs. He spent the night? So, my brother was telling the truth. As soon as he laid his eyes on her, the laughing stopped and his mouth was set in a fine line.

Yep, he totally hated her. Along with everyone else.

When the front door shut, Judy let out a sly whistle. Euphemia gave him a pointed look.

He just grinned, "Better pull the wool over Gigi's eyes. I'd hate to see you banished from the country as well."

She made her way towards the refrigerator and took out the carton of orange juice, "I feel bad for the girl who'll be unfortunate enough to be blackmailed into marrying you."

"I'd like to refer to it as persuasion."

~ BG ~

"What's the occasion?" Roxan asked immediately upon sitting down. The two girls seemed oblivious to the annoyance that was protruding off of him.

"Frosty!" Cécilia squealed, "You made it!" She got up from her chair and shuffled her way over to him. She gathered him into a welcoming vice grip. Some things never change. As soon as she released him, she tossed her hair over her shoulder with the flick of her wrist and twirled around. "Notice anything different?"

She kept batting her mascara covered eyelashes. Yes, in fact, he could point out several things that had changed. No fake eyelashes, less makeup, hair back to its natural brown hue instead of golden blonde, hazel eyes and no more blue contacts, no more acrylic nails, no stilettos, no fake tan, no name brand clothes or accessories, no excessive amount of jewelry and in all honesty, she looked a million times better.

"You didn't follow through on your lifelong dream to get botox and implants. Good girl."

"Hey, that's not funny!" Cécilia whined, "I've changed!"

"I can see that." Roxan cracked a small grin, "And I could barely recognize you with how much more beautiful you look now."

She lowered her eyes to the floor and smiled coyly before mumbling, "Thank you."

Seeing Cécilia like this made him proud. She wasn't known as the follower for nothing. She grew up watching The Hills, Keeping Up with the Kardashians and any other bizarre reality television show. Her icons were Heidi Montag and Paris Hilton. She was the naïve, insecure girl the world loved to take advantage of and criticize until they were willing to resort to plastic surgery to become "perfect". Knowing that she hadn't cracked under the pressure made him extremely happy for her.

Roxan looked over to the blonde who had stayed seated. He guessed he had her to thank. On the contrary, Narcissa was the type of girl not to give a damn about what people thought of her. In high school, she was almost always the center of gossipsecond to Regina, of coursedue to her promiscuous conquests and she was responsible for many students and staff being unfaithful to their partners.

The two had been joined at the hip ever since nursery. They were known as "the twin Barbies" because they were almost always together.

"Cissy," he acknowledged with a slight nod of my head.

"A pleasure to have you join us Mr. Frost."

"You gave me no other option." Roxan said while Cécilia took her seat beside Narcissa.

"Actually, yes, I did." Narcissa argued.

"We both know that it was implied." Roxan took out his laptop from its carrier and set it upon the table.

"So, Frosty," Cécilia interrupted, "how are the new Barbies?"

He merely shrugged while logging onto his laptop, "Nothing special."

"Inauguration is later today, isn't it?" Cécilia asked, her voice laced with curiousity.

"Don't make it sound so glamorous," Narcissa told her, "they're being inducted into Hell's Society of Marionettes."

"Still, it feels so surreal when you first are titled a Barbie." Cécilia said matter-of-factly.

"So, is this what you called me over here for?" Roxan asked, "To discuss your replacements?"

Both girls shook their heads.

"No, of course not." Cécilia insisted, "We were just curious is all. We actually have some really big news to tell you."

His eyes lifted off of the screen.

"What is it?"

He watched as Cécilia coyly shared a glance with Narcissa. The blonde placed her hand on top of hers and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

Narcissa's dark blue eyes stared into his brown ones. "We're getting married."

Cécilia took out an envelope from her satchel and slid it over to him with a tentative smile gracing her features.

His eyes glanced from Cécilia's and back to Narcissa's before landing on the envelope with Roxan labeled on the front in calligraphy.

"We decided to give it to you in person because we wanted to trust the invitations of the new Barbies with you." Narcissa stated. "You're the only one so, be grateful and don't tell Gina."

He opened the envelope and took out the card and read its contents before looking back at the two women in front of him. Cécilia's hopeful stare caused him to give in.

"When did this happen?" Roxan asked them. Marriage was a serious matter and for Narcissa, someone who was never serious about any romantic relationship, to be engaged to Cécilia . . . he just had to make sure Cécilia wouldn't be getting hurt if Narcissa one day decided she was bored.

"It's not a question of when, exactly." Cécilia locked eyes with Narcissa, "I think we've . . . known this whole time. We just, didn't recognize it until now."

"I know you have your doubts Roxan." Narcissa stared directly into his eyes with promise, something he'd never seen from her. "This isn't something that's going to fade away in a few months. Most of my flings in high school were because I refused to believe I was in love with my best friend. I didn't want to hurt her. After graduation, I confessed to her. I had to; you can only hold something inside for so long. Trust me when I say that I'm serious about Cécilia like I've never been with anyone else."

"Wait! Just consider it! I know you love me, Jackie!"

"And not only does she love me but, I love her as well. After she confessed to me, we started dating. We didn't tell any of you guys 'cause we didn't want any negativity when we were just trying it out. But, everything just sort of came pouring out, you know? And before we knew it, here we are. And I assure you, we both really want this. I love her more than anything. She made me have more confidence in myself and even saved me from making the biggest mistake of my life. I learned to love myself for who I am and I think I even made her into a better person."

"Do this . . . for me? You will if you really love me."

You would've had to have been a fool to not hear the genuine happiness and love in Cécilia's voice as she spoke—in both of their voices. He should know, it reminded him of how he spoke of his love for . . . her.

He looked at the both of them and gave an approving smile, "Alright, you have my blessing."

It was worth it to see both of their faces light up upon hearing his words.

"Thank you Frosty!" Cécilia squealed as she went over to squeeze him into another death grip.

Narcissa also rose from her seat and followed suit. "I knew we could count on you."

"Thank you Jackie, for everything."

After they sat back down, he listened to them chatter about how the wedding was going to be and how the Thain's were supportive of their youngest and welcomed Narcissa into their family with open arms. Cécilia asked the names of the new Barbies so that she can write their names on the empty invitations she had.

"They didn't replace Jeanie?" Cécilia asked curiously after he named the three freshman Barbies.

Roxan swallowed the lump that formed in his throat and shook his head. She handed him the invitations and he slipped them into his laptop carrier.

"Wow, really?" Cécilia looked at Narcissa, "You'd think BG would at least choose another sophomore girl to make it even."

"Maybe BG hasn't found anyone else who's worthy enough yet. That bitch works in mysterious ways, you know."

"Speaking of Jeanie," Cécilia turned her head back to look at Roxan. "We have another favor to ask of you. It's actually one of the main reasons why we asked you to meet with us in the first place."

If it had anything to do with Lucky, he honestly didn't even want to know. However, he didn't tell that to them . . . even though he probably should have.

"We wanted to know if you could get Jeanie's current address for us. We want to send her an invitation but, we don't know where she is and we figured that if anyone knew or could find out, it'd be you."

Was she serious? Did she not remember that it was Regina who kicked Lucky out of the country in the first place? She couldn't actually expect him to do this. He knew where his loyalties lied.

"No," he told her, "absolutely not."

"Why not?" Cécilia asked with a saddened expression.

"You can't actually be that stupid."

"Hey!" Narcissa growled, "You watch what comes out of that trap of yours. We know this isn't what Gina would want and she'll probably hate us eternally for it. But, this isn't about what she wants; it's about what we want. They may no longer be friends but, Jeanie was a great friend of ours. And as our friend, she deserves to have just as much of a right to attend our wedding as Gina does."

"We'll take the blame for it so she won't penalize you." Cécilia added, "And plus, don't you want to see Jeanie again? We know you miss her."

"I'm not about to betray Regi's trust for her sake."

"Come on, Frost. It's no secret that you've been in love with her ever since you first saw her. Why don't you use this as a chance to try to win her over?" Narcissa suggested before taking a sip out of her strawberry banana smoothie.

"No," he told them while shaking his head, "I won't do it. I refuse."

Cécilia took a sip from her chai tea while glancing nervously at Narcissa. The girl with the dirty blonde hair and dark blue eyes was struggling to keep her temper in check. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before looking at Roxan once again.

"Please Roxan, do this for us. Please."

"Please, I'll do anything! I need this! I need you!"

Dammit.

He lowered his head and stared at the screen of his laptop. He wordlessly began typing. He could practically hear their grins.

"Thanks again, Frosty!" Cécilia giggled. "And don't you worry; Jeanie will be all over you. You two will fall in love and live happily ever after with four kids and a labradoodle."

Narcissa laughed, "Four kids and a labradoodle?"

"Absolutely! They'll even have the white picket fence wrapped around the front yard bit!"

"You seem adamant about making this come true." Narcissa commented.

"Well, of course. I mean, Roxan deserves the world for everything's he's done and so much more."

He sighed as he pulled up her address on the screen. He turned the laptop around to face them, "There. Take a picture of it, email it to yourself, I don't care."

Narcissa took the laptop and began emailing it to herself.

Cécilia rose from her seat and encircled her arms around Roxan for another deathly hug. As she squeezed the life out of him, she pressed her lips onto his cheek. He felt his face begin to twitch in annoyance and discomfort.

Narcissa let out a laugh when she witnessed what her fiancée was doing to him, "Same old Frost. You really haven't changed a bit."

A growl emitted from him which caused both girls to giggle.

"Aww Frosty, you're so cute!" Cécilia exclaimed as she pinched his cheek.

Yeah well, he sure as hell didn't miss being the freshman who was constantly teased by the upperclassmen girls.

Remember, Roxan's part goes as follows: the bolded italics are flashbacks and regular italics are his thoughts. The regular text is him reflecting back on the memory and of how idiotic he was back then. It's confusing, I know. So . . . let me know what you think?

5: Chapter 4: All the Things She Said
Chapter 4: All the Things She Said

Allo! So now the plot thickens. Yay for trouble! The Lucky situation that Regina has swept under the rug is rearing its ugly head, new Barbies are being inducted, past dolls return to haunt those they left behind, a wedding is in order, relationships to be formed and broken, the unrevealed Barbie is making her way on set and so much more! Jeez, I feel so cheesy writing this lol. Okay, so starting with this chapter I'm going to start telling a little bit of side information about each character from now until whenever and some extra facts.

Btw, I HAVE UPDATED THE PREVIOUS CHAPTERS AND THEY ARE ALL IN 3RD PERSON! If you'd like to read them, go ahead. There's really not much of a difference. Just know that from here on out, all the chapters will be in 3rd person point of view.

First is, of course, is the ringleader of this bizarre circus: The Barbie Generation Column's anonymous writer. Not yet to be revealed, I won't mention any details that will give this person away. The writer is mostly referred to as BG or BG Anonymous. Obviously, this character will not be shown until later so no description will be provided. As this story gets more developed, try to guess the face behind BG. I bet you won't be able to mwah ha ha ha.

If you have the time to spare, let me know who you're favorite characters are so far and if you have any questions or song/story suggestions feel free to leave a comment/review or PM me. All criticisms are welcome. I promise to get back to you, whether it be in the introductory before the next chapter or by PM. Hope you enjoy this chapter!

This chapter is loosely based on All the Things She Said by t.A.T.u. I think it helps with everything that's going on right now with the whole Lucky ordeal. It's a beautiful song and nothing is ever "enough". Remember: perfection is something you can strive for but, never achieve.

Chapter 4: All the Things She Said

Today's the day!

She couldn't stop herself from squealing. She couldn't believe that this was happening and to her of all people. She was just an ordinary girl from a small town and to be proclaimed as a Barbie was something that only happened to, like, models and popular girls with radiating confidence.

She practically skipped down the steps and into the kitchen. She heard her mom giggle as she took her seat at the table for breakfast.

"My, El, what's gotten you so excited?" Her mother asked as she set a plate of pancakes in front of her daughter.

Ella reached over the table to grab the maple syrup.

"It better not be a boy."

She laughed as her father flipped a page in his newspaper.

"Don't worry daddy, I'm just going to hang around some new friends I've made." Ella told him while drenching her pancakes with maple syrup.

"Better not be a boy," he repeated all while keeping his attention on the newspaper in front of him. "That's the last thing you need: a distraction. Keep focused on your grades. Volya got kicked out of Yale because he let that bitch—"

"Robert!" Her mother scolded, "Not during breakfast! The day hasn't even begun yet."

Ella lowered her head and stuffed her mouth with her mom's delicious pancakes.

Volya was her older brother. He was valedictorian of his class and everybody loved him. He had a girlfriend that he had been dating ever since the eighth grade, a lovely girl. Anyway, she chose not to go to a college and started a job "waitressing". Turns out, she was selling her body and ended up getting impregnated by one of the many men she slept with. She told Ella's brother that the baby was his. So, he began working two jobs and skipped his classes in order to help support his girlfriend. He plagiarized a paper and got himself kicked out of one of the most prestigious universities in America.

After the baby was born, his girlfriend kept continuing being a prostitute—sorry, escort. Long story short, she contracted HIV and got very sick. Their dad made Volya take a paternity test and he found out, the baby wasn't his. Still, he chose to stay with her because he was still madly in love with her. He even got married to her this past summer. That made their dad furious. Thus, the three of them moving halfway across the country, far away from Volya. Their dad wouldn't even let Ella and their mom attend the wedding.

Their dad was heartbroken. Volya was his pride and joy, everything anyone could ever want their son to be. This crushed him. That was why he was being so hard on her now, she guessed, so she could restore her family's honor.

That's not to say that Volya was out of their lives completely, she and her mom still talked to Volya on a weekly basis. Just, not when her dad was around. Sometimes, when he was on a business trip, Ella and her mom would arrange for Volya to fly in and stay for a few days with them.

When Ella was finished with her pancakes, she put the dishes in the sink. She gave her parents both a kiss on the cheek and headed out the door, "Bye, I'll be back before curfew."

The walk from her house to the park wasn't too long. She liked going on strolls and taking in the view of the town she now resided in.

When she finally arrived at the park, there wasn't a familiar face in sight. Ella always made it her job to be punctual, early even, so it was weird for her when no one was there.

It's okay, she reassured herself. So what if you're a little early? It'll make you seem more reliable . . . or like a freak.

She sat down on a nearby bench and waited . . . and waited . . . and waited. . . .

Where is everybody? Ella wondered, maybe they changed the meeting time? Or the location, perhaps? Why am I always so out of the loop? I'd text Euphemia if I had been smart enough to ask for her cell number yesterday. Ugh idiot!

"Is it normal for you to be hitting yourself on the head like that?"

She immediately looked up to catch sight of a pair of deep blue eyes full of mirth staring at her.

"U-Uh, you . . . weren't supposed to see that." Ella responded lamely.

The guy in front of her laughed, "So I can tell."

Mr. Deep Blue Eyes had a head full of unruly, red curls atop his head and freckles were speckled on the pale skin of his face.

"I'm Germaine by the way," he introduced as he outstretched his hand.

She shook his hand and coyly stated, "Ella. Ella Prochazka."

He made a shocked face and let go of her hand. She looked at him with a confused expression.

"You're one of the freshman Barbies?" Germaine asked.

Ella only nodded. She guessed that he went to the same school that she did.

"Wow, sure didn't expect that. Usually the Barbies are bitchy whores. You don't seem like the kind of girl who sleeps with teachers just to get an A."

She didn't know whether to feel offended or flattered. "Um, thanks?"

He laughed again, "Man, BG's finally picked a good apple. Never thought I'd live to see the day."

Ella giggled, "Oh, come on. They can't really be that bad."

He gave her an incredulous look and asked, "Have you met Regina?"

She nodded.

"Why haven't you gone running for the hills yet?"

She laughed and shrugged, "I dunno, she seems pretty nice."

Germaine gave a hearty chuckle, "Yeah and I'm the king of the universe. Nice try, I'll give you an A for your effort."

Ella just giggled and sarcastically said, "Gee thanks, Your Majesty."

He looked around dramatically before putting his finger to his lips and shushing her. "Do you want me to lose my head? If Oswald heard that I stole his title, he'd butcher me."

She snickered at his idiotic behavior. It wasn't long before he, too, joined in on the laughter.

When the laughter died down, Germaine congratulated her on becoming a Barbie. Before she could respond, she was cut off by someone else.

"You better hightail it out of here Reason before I give you one."

Ella turned her head to see Roxan with a menacing look in his eyes.

Germaine glanced at the brooding Barbie, "Just 'cause I won't tell you BG's secret identity, you're gonna hate me for all eternity? I already told you, no one from the newspaper knows who BG is or if that person is even a member of of our club. They may be just some hacker trying to frame us or something."

Roxan's brown eyes darkened as he barked, "Don't start pulling that bullshit with me."

Germaine put up his hands in an appeasing fashion, "Woah, chill there Jackie boy. You wouldn't want to do anything you might regret later on. Who knows . . . BG could be lurking in the bushes."

The smirk on Germaine's face made Roxan get even more livid than he already was. His eyes were promising a slow, painful death.

Ella gulped and whispered, "Stop provoking him, Germaine."

He looked back at her and winked, "Don't you worry, his bark is worse than his bite."

"Says the pussy who backs away with his tail between his legs the second he feels threatened."

Ella whipped her head to the new voice. She didn't recognize the guy that walked up beside Roxan with his hands in his pockets. He had a messy array of dark brown hair and an apathetic look in his pale green eyes.

"You're outnumbered, Reason. Get away while you still can."

Germaine scoffed, "Oh please, neither of you have the incentive to pummel me. You puppets don't do anything unless Regina or Oswald tell you otherwise. You're really pathetic."

"Well, good thing I decided to come when I did."

Oswald waltzed next to Germaine and whispered in his ear, "Now do you have enough initiative to run?"

Germaine gritted his teeth. He gave Ella a small wave and a forced smile before running off.

Oswald chuckled and called out, "Run, Forrest, run!"

Ella frowned, "That's not funny. By any means, was that really necessary?"

Oswald's snake green eyes caught hers and he smirked before turning his head to face the other two guys. "Hey Jack, why don't you put a muzzle on your bitch?"

"Oh, shut up Oz!"

All four of them turned their heads towards the feminine voice.

A guy with golden blond hair and baby blue eyes had his arm securely wrapped around the girl with wavy, light brown hair and blazing turquoise eyes. Ella recognized them from the BG blast that involved Euphemia, Arlyss and a cheating scandal. They must be the famous Barbie and Ken couple she kept hearing about, Freya Bonheur and Aurelian Rey.

"You're obliged to be nice to all the freshmen today." Freya continued, "Stop picking on her. It won't help with showing your masculinity, I can assure you."

Oswald scoffed, "All freshman? Hell, I'd pay good money to see you and Lian are play nice to Slut 1 and Slut 2 when they come along. Won't be long before all hell will break loose. Rian, get the fricking popcorn! It's going to be one hellova show!"

The guy called Rian—the one with the dark brown hair and light green eyes—just shook his head, "Whose bright idea was this?"

"Mine, so shut up before you say something you'll regret."

~ BG ~

Damn, Arlyss knew there was something wrong with being a Barbie. Just didn't know everybody would turn out to be so damn bitchy.

The Queen Bitch and her sister announced their arrival. Let the court assemble.

He had been lounging in a tree for a while now, ever since that redheaded guy started to talk to Ella. He could literally title every single person there with just witnessing that encounter.

Ella, the Naïve Wallflower. Roxan, the Brooding Bastard. Adrian, the Brokenhearted Loser. Oswald, the King Dick. Aurelian, the Possessive Jock. Freya, the Attention Whore. Euphemia, the Fake Slut. Regina, the Queen Bitch.

And him? He was just Arlyss, the Cynical Critic.

Well, it was about time for him to show himself. Might as well, looks like I'm stuck with the lot of them.

Arlyss jumped down from the branch he was on and slipped his hands in his jeans' pockets. He leisurely made his way over to the commotion.

Well, this sure is going to be interesting.

The blond boyfriend of his captain's crush spotted him first. Aurelian narrowed his eyes and glared and him viciously.

That only caused the freshman to laugh inwardly. Like a chihuahua, he mused. He didn't feel intimidated in the slightest. Arlyss might look timid at first glance but, he was no coward. Under his quiet exterior was a calculated, cocky individual. He didn't let the jock's futile attempts to threaten him, bother him.

"Well, now that we're all here. I have an announcement to make." Regina made sure everyone focused their attention on her before continuing, "In light of recent events; I propose that from this day forth, any preposterous quarrels be put behind us. At least until the freshmen's induction is over, then I don't care about what you do with your lives. Today, though, we all get along."

Murmurs of reluctant agreement and the nodding of heads signaled her to continue on with the "induction ceremony".

"Now, I know we are short one Barbie; but, this is tradition and nothing breaks tradition." Regina smiled in a deceitfully sweet kind of way, "Not even a late Barbie. Ozzie, do us the honors."

The strawberry blond rolled his eyes, "Yeah, yeah, whatever. You make it sound so official. This whole thing is a fricking joke." Oswald turned his attention towards the freshmen, "Listen up, amateurs, 'cause I'm only gonna say this once. Every decision you make from here on up until the day you graduate, will be documented by some lowlife who has nothing better to do then to stalk other people. Have fun!"

With a cruel smirk, Oswald looked toward Regina, "That good enough for ya?"

She paid little to no mind to him, "You've impressed me. Better than what I expected of you."

Arlyss chuckled and spoke aloud for the first time in the meeting, "If that was all, then why are we here? Surely, you didn't have to state the obvious to us. So, what do you really want from us?"

Regina's icy blue eyes stared at him in amusement. "Very good," she complimented. "Arlyss, right?"

He nodded as she took a step towards him.

"Just because some loser names you as one of us, doesn't mean that you are. It's really our decision whether to accept you or not. You freshies ready for our challenge?"

He hated her, Arlyss decided, the way she looked down on him with petty. He knew the challenge was directed more towards him. Since Euphemia was her sister, there was nothing to decide there. She was automatically accepted. Ella, Regina probably thought she would do anything to fit in and the bitch was probably right. Arlyss hated people who thought they were too good for others. That type of narcissism was not tolerated by him under no means.

He only grinned, which caused the bitch to raise an eyebrow.

"Well then," she began, "seems as though we have a promising bunch this year. I hope you've all got the rest of the day free. If not, take the liberty to cancel your plans now."

"W-Wait, why?" Ella asked, timidly.

"Your test begins now and it won't end until I say otherwise. We'll see then who's really Barbie material. Follow me."

The Queen Bitch turned around and soon, all the others followed her as she left.

"Hopefully, this won't take all day." Arlyss heard someone whimper quietly, "Dad would kill me!"

He looked back at Ella and asked, "Is something wrong?"

Her head shot up in surprise, "N-No! Everything's a-okay!"

Ella moved on ahead of him with false confidence. She hugged herself subconsciously and took shuffled steps. Obviously lying.

"She'll be fine."

Arlyss scoffed, "How can you be so sure?"

Euphemia kept her gaze forwards, "My sister won't maul her, just toy with her a little bit. Plus, she's got us here to watch her back."

"Us? We barely even know each other. Don't talk as if we're the best of friends."

She gave him a hard look, "We got in this together and we go out of this together. Like it or not, we have to stick together in order to get through this. Trust me, it's the only way."

Arlyss chuckled and asked with a light tone, "And everyone else?"

Euphemia just shrugged, "Hey, there's bound to be some conflict between players at some point or another. It's best us three just unite and tell everyone else to screw themselves. You may not realize it yet but, they all have those who they're absolutely loyal to, their own alliances. It's best to decide now rather than wait until later when you don't know who you can trust."

"And you know this how?"

She turned her head to look at him and smirked, "I've been around it long enough."

He saw it now—be it the way her lips curved or how her icy blue eyes seemed to twinkle in such a way that he realized just how similar the two sisters were. She seemed to be offering him to choose the lesser of two evils: with her or against her. She was very cunning, he'd give her that.

He didn't give her an answer. He just kept following to where the others were leading them.

~ BG ~

This had to have been the longest day ever in existence. Aurelian hated freshmen orientation. This would be his third time and he no longer was a freshman. It was pointless, really. The upperclassmen just forced the freshmen to do their bidding for an hour each.

His turn was coming up. Roxan and Adrian already went. Roxan just had them do his errands, while Adrian made them do his science project. Aurelian rolled his eyes, thinking of what a lazy ass bastard Adrian was. After that, they had went out for lunch since it was already two in the afternoon.

Now, it was Freya's turn. It took her awhile to decide what to do but, she decided that they would be her shopping "buddies". That job was cringe worthy. The freshmen basically had to follow her around for an hour while she shopped at the mall. That may not seem bad at first since many people can only buy a handful of clothes in that amount of time but, Aurelian knew his girlfriend and if there was one thing he was one hundred percent certain of, it was that she was an empathic shopaholic. She shopped when she needed to let off steam. Shopping with her was normally a punishment she used for him when he made her mad. At least, she could get it all out of her system now.

"So, Cece and Cissy met up with you this morning and gave you invitations for the freshmen? Why? It's not like they know them or anything."

Aurelian snapped out of his reverie and gave his attention towards the others. Regina rolled her eyes at Oz's stupidity. "They did it out of courtesy. Plus, you know Cece's curious nature. She's probably just dying to meet Ellie."

"Yeah, Logan said he was going to be flying in by Thanksgiving." Adrian stated.

"Logi's coming? Oh, I haven't seen him in ages." Regina sighed.

"So, they invited all of the Barbies?" Aurelian asked.

Regina shrugged, "Probably. I don't see why not. They were one of the first to be chosen as Barbies their freshman year. I'd imagine that they'd invite everyone."

Regina was the second Queen Barbie ever to be chosen. The first was Bambi Geier. She was a typical Queen Bee. Head cheerleader, dated the quarterback, bitch beyond compare. The King was Rhys Dempsey, a typical high school football star. Arrogant, rash, hotheaded. They were both seniors at the time.

The juniors were Samson Thain, Tara and Caleb Herring. Samson, one of Cécilia's older brothers. The smartass was ranked essayist of his class without ever studying. Tara and Caleb were the adopted children of the Herrings, since they couldn't have children. They were nothing alike. Tara was the president of the debate team and senior honor society. Known as the "uptight prude" but, no one dared to say it to her face because she would have bitch slapped them to the next century. Caleb was the captain of the basketball team. An extremely charismatic guy who only had two things on his mind: playing ball and getting laid. Despite their differences, they got along extremely well.

The sophomores chosen were Zhen Fei and Logan Eikki. Zhen, the dance team captain. She was one hell of a performer and got accepted into a strategic dance company. Then there was Logan, the silent, artsy type that girls found attractive—who knows why. Every girl had a crush on him but, he couldn't give a care. He was too wrapped up in his art to even bother.

And of course, the freshman consisted of Narcissa Kòbor, Tilian Laird and Cécilia Thain.

"So, does that mean Lucky will be invited as well?" Aurelian asked. He knew that she was a rather delicate subject but, Regina couldn't be oblivious to the possibility. They were friends once. She could show up.

Regina answered him with a sugary, malicious grin. "Of course not, Beauty darling. Why would you even think that?"

Aurelian hated when she called him that. Beauty; as if he was some kind of prancing princess who collected flowers and sang with animals. He swallowed the urge to say something he might regret later on. This was Regina, after all. The bitch who never forgives or forgets.

He just shrugged, "It was just a thought."

She giggled in response and swatted him playfully on the chest, "Well then, get rid of all those silly thoughts, Beauty. They have no place here."

Of course, she didn't even want to consider the fact that she would see Lucky again. Typical Regina. When she turned to converse with someone else, Aurelian rolled his eyes. Sone part of him wished Lucky would show up, just to see it bite Regina in the ass.

He sighed. Hopefully she wouldn't though. Lucky was a ticking time bomb when around Regina. Now she had a reason for revenge. A tense Regina meant a hungry BG. A hungry BG meant unhappy, fighting Barbies. Lucky returning would prove to cause a volcanic eruption.

"Looks like it's your turn Rey."

Adrian's drawled statement snapped Aurelian out of his thoughts. He saw that his girlfriend was happily strutting her way towards the group in a completely carefree manner. The three freshman were in tow carrying numerous shopping bags, looking exhausted as ever.

"Have fun Bonnie?" Regina asked with an amused tone.

Freya let out a dreamy sigh, "Oh, it was wonderful. Heaven knows I've been needing to go shopping for a while now. I feel so relieved. You wouldn't believe how many must-haves they have this season. It's a shame I only had an hour."

The three freshman gave her an exasperated look which she was completely oblivious to. Aurelian could empathize with them, he had experienced the horror.

"Alright, Lian, you're up." Oswald said with a yawn.

Aurelian nodded though, he didn't have a clue what he could make the freshman do.

"Oz, Rian, Roxi, can you guys take my bags up to the car for me? It's far too much for little ole' me." Freya batted her eyelashes and the three Barbies sighed in frustration before taking the shopping bags from the freshman.

She gave Aurelian a kiss on the cheek before leading the way to her car, her new helpers trudging behind her.

Aurelian looked at the three new Barbies. They looked exhausted. What could he have them do? He could be evil and make them do arduous labor or be nice and let them do an easygoing task. Last year, he made Roxan and Lucky run numerous sprints because he was upset over some trivial matter.

Just then, his phone vibrated in his pocket. He sighed and took out his cell to see who texted him. He rolled his eyes upon seeing his little cousin's name on the screen.

Don't forget, tomorrow is the car wash fundraiser for cheer! You PROMISED you'd help to make up for forgetting to pick me up the other day! JJV

Shit, he did forget. The day after Freya and him made up, he went to apologize to Jenny.

"The only way I'm going to forgive you is if you help us fundraise on Sunday. We're doing a car wash. Coach wants us to go to more competitions this year 'cause she thinks we can do really well. It's my last year in middle school and as captain. We have to go out with a big bang!"

Of course, Aurelian knew she would eventually get the title when she moved up to the high school squad. She knew how to get what she wanted. Oddly enough, she was much like Regina in that aspect.

An idea suddenly sparked in his mind. He knew what the freshman were going to do. "Tommorrow at twelve there's going to be a car wash at the middle school. My cousin is the captain of the cheer squad and she needs help with the fundraiser. You three will help out for an hour."

"Tomorrow? Is that even allowed?"

The male freshman looked over to Regina. She just shrugged, "It's not what we normally do but, I'll approve of it just this once."

Aurelian smirked. So much for sticking to tradition.

"What if I have other plans?!" he asked, incredulously.

"Cancel them." Aurelian answered before Regina got the chance to.

"Stole the words right from my mouth," the Queen Barbie agreed.

At that moment, Freya and the others returned. Regina smiled icily, "Change of plans, it's my turn."

Aurelian knew that tone. It was her last time doing this. She was going to make it worth her while.

When she told everyone to go home, Aurelian was puzzled. It didn't sound like her to say something like that.

"I want everyone to report to my house at nine."

Now that sounded more like Regina.

"Why at nine?" The male freshman asked, "Why not now?"

Regina looked at him with a peculiar stare. "Because that's when all the fun will begin."

~ BG ~

"I don't like them."

Regina's response was an amused roll of the eyes. "Oh, shut up Ozzie. You say that every year. You're gonna end up liking at least one of them, you always do."

"I hope you intend to make them suffer for two hours because I do."

The platinum blonde just gave him a secret smile. "Suffer? That sounds too harsh. I just want to see who will test the waters and who will jump right in. I already have my assumptions but; then again, I've been wrong before."

Oswald could only stare at her. Out of all the Barbies, he was probably the one who knew her the best. They had been recruited together and they will be graduating together. The whole Lucky situation still bothered her. She was making sure none of the new Barbies would even dare to repeat what that bitch did.

"At least she won't be returning any time soon, right? BG is probably still looking for a new Barbie to replace her. Some annoying ass bitch who will try to crush you. Don't sweat it. New Barbies are automatic enemies, whether it's your sister, the prude, some Lucky replacement or even the bitch herself."

"It's not the freshman I'm worried about."

Oswald gave a tired sigh. After all this time, she still was on guard. Waiting for the day for that bitch to return. It wasn't going to happen. Lucky didn't have the confidence to return. Simple as that. She was much like the prude freshman and Cécilia in that aspect: a follower.

The ringing of the doorbell woke Oswald from his thoughts.

"Effie," Regina called, "Ellie is at the door. Go answer it."

Oswald stifled a laugh, it was so Regina to make her younger sister answer the door even though she was just in the room closest to the main entrance.

Her icy blue eyes stared pointedly at him, "What's got you so amused?"

"How did you know it was the prude?"

Regina shook her head with a gentle laugh escaping her lips. "Out of everyone, she would be the only one to be punctual."

Her assumption was proved correct when her sister walked down the steps and answered the door whilst greeting, "Hey Ella."

"Hi," the prude said too happily. Oswald rolled his eyes, she was just like Cécilia. He wouldn't be surprised when she became Regina's new lapdog. A true follower. Eager to please. Probably easy too. However, she wasn't his type. Far from it, actually. She was the complete opposite of what he wanted in a woman. Besides, she was a freshman. Basically a baby compared to all the other girls he could sleep with.

Of course, their had been Euphemia but, that was different. That was simply a drunken mistake. It was just really easy to imagine her as someone else. That's why she holds him against it. It was her fault though, she had initiated the entire thing and he was drunk. Plain and simple.

"Hello Ellie."

The prude visibly fixed herself the second she realized she was under Regina's stare. She shyly smiled while not looking her directly in the eyes. "H-Hi Regina."

The platinum blonde made her way towards the freshman, "Just call me Gina, okay."

It wasn't a request but, a command. The Queen Barbie carefully walked around the fidgeting freshman, her calculating eyes observing her outfit, presumably. Regina stood to her side with her hand pressed to her mouth, her brows were furrowed in a thoughtful manner. Disapproval was written all over her face.

"No," she finally said while slightly shaking her head. She crossed her arms over her chest and leaned on one hip, "Absolutely not."

The prude began wrenching her hands together as the nerves ate away at her. She asked timidly, "What's wrong? A-Am I—" Regina shut her up by raising her hand as to silence her. She pointed at the prude's outfit with a look of utter disgust. "This won't due. Effie!"

She beckoned for her sister. Euphemia, who was a couple steps behind her friend, walked up next to her sister. Regina turned toward Oswald and flipped her hair over her shoulder with a simple command passing her lips, "Fix her."

Without so much of a word, Euphemia ushered her friend upstairs. Oswald, however, did catch the longing gaze she sent when she thought he wasn't looking. Figures, she's totally in love with me. How annoying.

The doorbell rang again. Regina, with Euphemia busy, ordered her brother to get it.

The kid practically pounced from the middle of the steps to the front of the door. He definitely could not be human.

He swung the door open, greeting them with that menacingly cherub face that was both cute and haunting. "Well, hello there Bonnie."

The brunette bent down and gave him a hug while greeting him with a smile. She, for some unknown, forsaken reason, thought he was an angel. Oswald noticed the smirk he gave Aurelian who was standing in the doorway, "Aurelian, what a pleasure to see you good and well. I do hope you're taking care of Bonnie for me."

Freya released the little demon child and walked into the living room—where Regina and Oz were—with her boyfriend in tow.

"Bonnie," Regina walked up to the brunette, "I absolutely adore your outfit, where did you get it?"

Freya giggled in a silly fashion and twirled around like some sort of princess in a ball gown so that the blonde could view the outfit from all angles.

Oswald lost interest in their conversation about clothes and shopping. Instead, he walked over to Aurelian, who also seemed bored out of his mind.

"Lian," he nodded in acknowledgement. Aurelian followed suit and greeted him in the same manner.

"Oz."

"Everything going well in paradise?"

Aurelian chuckled, "Well? Try spectacular! It's like the lake house all over again."

Oswald smirked, "Now that's good sex."

During summer break, Aurelian took Freya with him to his family's lake for two weeks. He came back a thoroughly fucked man. Bragging about it like Oswald did his conquests.

"I think the only room that's hasn't been tainted by us is Blue Jay's room. God forbid she ever caught us there. She'd probably kill Freya. God knows why she hates her."

Oswald chuckled, "You ever wondered if it was because she was jealous of Freya? Maybe she loves you more than just a cousin?"

Aurelian punched his arm in response, "Don't say disgusting shit like that. She's just going through that bratty pre-teen phase. Besides, it's perfectly natural for her to hate any pretty female within a ten mile radius of me. She's just looking out for me like I do for her. It's a sibling thing. Something your could never understand."

"I may not have any siblings but, neither do you. She's your cousin and it's unnatural."

"It's not unnatural. She's like my little sister. She may be jealous but it's not because she loves me in a romantic way but, a familial way. You're just saying that because you've never experienced either."

Oswald rolled his eyes and commented apathetically, "Well, familial love only goes so deep."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Oswald just looked at Regina as she was talking animatedly with Bonnie. Her cell vibrated and she stopped to check her phone.

"Roxi just texted me," she announced. "Him, Adri and Lyssie will be here any minute."

"Lyssie?" Aurelian asked.

She rolled her eyes and stated it like it was the obvious, "The freshman boy."

Oswald scoffed, "Why have you branded him as if he is already one of us?"

"Why are you acting as though he'll never be one of us?" Freya countered, taking a defensive stance.

With the cock of his head, he shot back, "Why are you getting so upset over some boy, Freya? Don't tell me now what BG insinuated was true?"

As the brunette fumed, Oz let out a chuckle. He shook his head, "Lian, I'd put your girl on a leash if I were you."

"Gee, I feel so honored that Ken thinks of me so fondly. My life goal is now complete."

Lyssie gave the King Barbie a challenging stare. No one realized that he, Adrian and Roxan had walked in.

"Don't you dare talk to me like you're top shit." Oswald growled.

The freshman gave him a dazzling smile, "Oh, Ozzie darling. I wasn't talking to you." Arlyss loosely hung an arm around Freya's shoulders—which did not go unnoticed by Lian. "I was simply telling my dear friend Freya how happy I am that you speak so highly of me."

Oswald clenched his jaw. No, he did not like this freshman one bit. None of them seemed likable.

Regina cleared her throat, cutting through the tension like a knife. Everyone watched as she walked calmly down the stairwell. Oswald didn't even realize that she had left to go upstairs.

"Effie's finished up with Ellie. We're all set to go."

"Go?" The freshman asked, "Where to?"

Regina promptly answered his question with a wicked smile. She turned her head to look back up the stairs, "Come on down Ellie. There's no reason for you to be scared, we won't bite . . . hard."

Effie then came down the stairs, ushering her friend to follow her with the pull of her hand.

Oswald found himself smirking when the freshman girl came into view. She was in a short, skintight dress—if it could even be called that—with a pair of hooker heels. Her hair was pinned up in some curly updo that weirdly suited both her and the outfit.

She no longer looked like little Miss Goody-Two-Shoes but, like a carbon copy of Cécilia when she was a blonde. Due to her ditzy nature, she always played coy when trying to look flirtatious. The freshman girl was timid naturally. She could be sexy, he had to admit and if she was his type, he would totally go for her.

Oswald shifted his gaze to Roxan. The poor little bitch was scared half to death. He visibly gulped, like he didn't know what he would do with himself.

Good, the senior male Barbie thought, it's about time he got over Lucky.

"Wow Ellie," Regina said while walking up next to her new minion. "Didn't know you could do fierce. Looks like we might have a contender on our hands."

The older blonde put her hand on the freshman girl's shoulder and turned to face the rest of them. "Alright then, it's my turn. My test is Hance Jekel's party. You do what I say, when I say it and you leave when I say you can. Think you can handle it?"

Oswald let out a chuckle. Partying by Regina's rules meant only one thing: disaster was bound to occur. She knew no limits. He doubted any of them would survive the next two hours but, he also couldn't wait for his turn.

"Would you like anything to drink?"

The redhead turned her head away from the window to look at the flight attendant. She gave him a polite smile, "Yes, actually. May I please have some water?"

He nodded before handing her a small bottled water.

"Thank you."

The flight attendant moved on to another and Lucky turned her gaze back towards the window. She couldn't help but, wonder if anything had changed.

Okay, dumb thought. Obviously things are going to be a lot different now. I'm not the same girl I was six months ago.

Absentmindedly, Lucky clutched the envelope that was in her grasp. Upon realizing, she quickly attempted to straighten out the creases that had formed.

On the cream colored envelope, her name was written by a familiar hand. It was an invitation; her invitation to go back home . . . and finish what she had started.

A malicious grin slowly formed on Lucky's fair face as she looked back out the window. After a while, the lit up land was finally visible through the heaps of dark fog. She tuned out whatever the pilot was saying and giggled quietly to herself.

"I'm back, bitch." Lucky slipped on her Gucci shades and made sure not a hair on her head was out of place. "And this time, I'm not going to place nice."

This is, by far the longest chapter I have written for this story. I apologize for the forever wait and a special thanks to all of you who are reading this, I really appreciate it. This chapter was the hardest to write because it was a filler. The real drama starts next chapter, when our dear friend Lucky enters the scene. Until next time loves! :)

6: Chapter 5: Mz. Hyde
Chapter 5: Mz. Hyde

Chapter 5: Mz. Hyde

The nine teenagers carpooled to Hance Jekel's party. Regina, Freya and Aurelian rode with Oswald while Arlyss, Euphemia, Ella and Roxan rode with Adrian.

Roxan and Adrian always got along pretty well. No one could really say for sure since they both preferred the silence. Euphemia was stuck between a bored, uninterested Arlyss and a fidgeting, nervous Ella.

This probably would prove to be the real challenge, the seniors' tests. No projects, chores or bag-carrying would measure up to this. That much, Roxan was certain. Plus, Regina always tended to make her test the most dangerous one.

Her approach was deceiving. You thought it was simple but, you realize you've dug yourself a grave when you're already eight feet under.

Euphemia could handle it, she was used to it. Arlyss could probably handle it as well but, Ella? She was the weakest link and everyone knew it. This test was made for people like her, to test their limits.

Through the rearview mirror, Roxan looked over to the girl staring anxiously out the car window. Why did BG choose her? She was too genuine to be a Barbie. Cécilia was cunning in her own way, playing dumb in order to climb up the social ladder. She knew who would get her where, that's why she became a Barbie. Ella didn't seem like that type of person.

One could say that BG wanted to shake things up a bit, throw a good girl into the mix. What would that prove? Maybe to see how it would change her, how it would ruin her?

"Truth or Dare."

The three freshman looked at him in question.

"If that's what she wants you to do, always pick dare." Roxan stated, "It's the safer choice."

"Why? Isn't truth always the safer choice?" Arlyss asked.

"Normally, yes." Adiran answered. "But, this is Regina we're talking about. Choosing truth would be like selling your soul to the devil."

"You're both wrong." Euphemia sighed while playing with a few strands of her long, platinum hair. "There is no safe pick. Both can be just as horrible, it depends on the person. If you have something to hide, choosing dare would be the lesser of two evils."

"So," Ella began, "someone like me is better off picking truth over dare? Does playing safe make it easier?"

Adrian let out a laugh, "You play it safe, Regina will find a way to turn the tables. She always does, that's her specialty."

He said that as if he knew. Well, he did. Everyone did, in fact. Truth or Dare was a game Regina loved to spring up in times involving alcohol. It was a favorite of hers.

"What did you pick, Captain?" Arlyss asked. He seemed thoroughly intrigued by this new knowledge. He was probably wondering how could someone have so much power over a group of people.

No one really knew the answer to that. Regina was the Queen Barbie, everyone just accepted the fact.

Everyone except Lucky.

"Dare." Adrian said with a sigh, "She dared me to sleep with my best friend's girl."

"She can't do that." Arlyss was quick to say.

"Yes, she can. Jason wanted me to have nothing to do with the Barbies, said I was too good to be one."

"And she got rid of what was holding you back." Arlyss shook his head with a chuckle of disbelief.

It was a difficult thing to grasp, the whole Barbie concept. It was more than just a popularity title, it was branded onto you. It's who you are, whether you accept it or not. Everyone will still whisper about you whenever you walk by. Your privacy will be evaded. BG hand picked each of them with an intention in mind. Regina, the Queen Barbie, was meant to keep the Barbies in line and so far, the only one she's really going to have a problem with is Arlyss.

"I wasn't going to actually do it. In fact, I didn't. I just took her up to a room and BG did the rest. Jason never believed me, even his girlfriend lied about what happened. She bragged about it to all her friends. Everyone's trying to climb up the social ladder. So no matter how much you may hate Regina, it's better to stick with us. We all understand each other in a weird, twisted sort of way."

Arlyss sneered in disgust, "So some lowlife loser has all of you by the leash?" He chuckled darkly, "Sorry, but I think I'll pass. I'm not really interested in being anyone's source of entertainment."

With that, Adrian parked his car a house down from Jekel's. "Suit yourself Reginald."

Roxan exited the car and dug his hands in his pockets. He stared up at Jekel's massive house—if you could even call it that. It was just like him to throw a beginning of the year party. Everyone got the chance to drink 'til the sun rose and the freshmen whores were up for grabs. It was Oswald and Regina's kind of scene, not his. Roxan hated events such as these. He didn't even understand why he was a Barbie in the first place. He was the most antisocial person alive.

"Wow," Ella uttered, "that's some house."

Her dirty blonde hair was curled, and pinned up in an updo. She was wearing a short, soft pink, strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline that was too tight and silver heels that she couldn't quite walk in. Her face was painted with makeup and she wore one of Regina's extravagant necklaces. Ella didn't look like her normal self, she looked like a Barbie and that was just what Regina wanted. She really looked beautiful though, despite being dolled up. He preferred her when she wore clothes less . . . revealing but, she did look beautiful none the less.

"Don't gawk, it doesn't suit a Barbie." Roxan felt Regina come up beside him, "Isn't that right Roxi, darling?"

Ella's hazel eyes caught his. He quickly averted his eyes from hers and looked to Regina who just had a superior look of triumph.

"I wasn't gawking." Roxan whispered.

She pinched his cheek and whispered back, "I wasn't referring to you. You can look all you want. Just don't touch." The platinum blonde walked over to the freshmen.

All Roxan could do was sigh. He wanted this night to end already and it hadn't yet begun.

~ BG ~

All the Barbies entered the party with ease, they were always on the list. It wasn't a party until they arrived. As soon as they entered Aurelian, Freya, Roxan, Adrian and Oswald all left to mingle with other teens. That left the freshmen in Regina's care.

Regina's icy blue eyes studied the three freshmen carefully. These three were chosen above their other classmates, there had to be something about them that made them different, something Barbie-like.

Euphemia was a given, she was her little sister. However, that didn't mean that she wasn't dangerous, because she was. She was cunning, like her older sister, but didn't have the qualities to authorize others.

Arlyss was going to be her challenge, she knew. He seemed harmless at first glance, that is, until he opened his mouth. She would need to break him, like a stallion, so he would learn his place. He was quick to judge and that was his fallacy, that's where she got him.

Ella, on the other hand, was easy. Too easy. She was new in town and desperate to fit in. Like a dog eager to please her master.

"Are these the freshman Barbies?"

Regina didn't have to glance over to know that it was the host of the party speaking.

"What an honor it is for you to greet us, Jekel. Where's Hyde?"

"Upstairs waiting for you, in fact." Hance leaned over and whispered, "I have a special delivery waiting."

The Queen Barbie's eyes sparked with interest and spared him a glance, "Why don't you come find me later in the night."

Hance's lips quirked into a smirk, "What, too busy for your old pal? Come on, Yappie, you know you want to."

Regina inwardly cringed at the childish nickname he had used. The fact that he was using the we used to be best friends in grade school card was enough to turn her off. Honestly, he was nothing special. She could find a million other guys to offer her what he had.

Instead of blatantly rejecting the offer, she simply flicked her hair over her shoulder and said, "Get in line, hun. I'm a very busy person. You're lucky I'm even giving you the time of day."

Begrudgingly, Hance straightened himself. Not at all liking the fact of being tossed aside so easily. He swallowed thickly before commenting, "Wow, I feel so honored. Thank you for your precious time, Your Highness."

Regina rolled her eyes as he stalked away. People never learn.

She returned her attention to the three freshmen. If the newfound wicked grin that had formed was any indication, they knew what was coming next.

The Queen Barbie batted her eyelashes and asked in a sugary, venomous tone, "How about we play a little game?"

~ BG ~

"Thank you for letting me sleep over. My dad would've killed me if he knew what I was doing last night."

Euphemia gave her worrysome friend a smile, "Hey, anytime. My mom doesn't care. Plus, she's, like, never home anyway."

Ella smiled back in gratitude. She then looked out the doorway of the bedroom. It was hard to believe she was in the same house as Regina. It was hard to believe that the two girls were even related. Euphemia was so much nicer than her older sister, at least, from what Ella had seen.

The game of Truth or Dare hadn't been anything like she thought it would. The older Barbies did a good job at scaring her. It didn't turn out to be a life or death situation.

"Hey Euphemia?"

The platinum blonde turned her head to look at her friend and asked, "What's on your mind?"

Ella looked down at her fuzzy socks, not quite sure of what to say. When she finally found her words, she asked, "What did she have you do. For your dare, I mean."

Out of the three of them, Euphemia was the only one who had to do something. Regina had taken her away and whispered something to her before returning with a wicked smile on her face. To be fair, Ella didn't know what Regina had asked Arlyss either.

Euphemia didn't answer right away. She sighed and looked out towards her window. "Nothing," she eventually said, "it was a sister thing. I would have done it even if she hadn't dared me to."

Ella nodded, unsure of what to say to that. She had chosen truth. She had nothing to hide anyway. Regina's question was unusual and unexpected. When playing Truth or Dare with her friends back home, the truths were always more . . . intrusive, to say the least.

Who do you like? What was your worst lie? Who was your first kiss? Are you a virgin? What's your biggest secret? Those were common ones.

What are you looking to achieve?

How were you supposed to answer a question like that? It was so vague, it could mean anything. Long term or short term? At the party, during this "test", during high school, for life? The answer Ella gave her wasn't something that could be used against her. It was honest and elementary. It was almost impossible to twist the words into something horrible, so she was safe.

"So," Ella decided to change the subject, "now we have to go to a car wash filled with middle school cheerleaders. Sounds like fun, just where I want to be on a beautiful Sunday morning."

The platinum blonde rolled her eyes, "You're telling me. I think it should be against the rules for Barbies to reschedule the stupid tests that they are required to give us. Like, you have a whole year to think about it, you don't get more time."

With that, she headed out the door with Ella in tow.

"I know, it's not fair that Aurelian and Oswald got to do that. Everyone else knew what they wanted us to do. Speaking of Oswald, he didn't even have anything planned. It's his senior year! Shouldn't he have been thinking about this since his freshman year?"

The two girls came down the stairs, both annoyed with the fact that their Initiation Tests were extended to who knows how long.

When it was Oswald's turn, he simply shrugged and said he'd collect a favor from each of them when the time came. It was frustrating and it was all because he had two eager, fake blondes hanging off his arms.

Pig.

"Don't be too harsh on Ozzie, it could have easily been you two he would've asked to take home last night. Be grateful he respected that you two are virgins." Regina passed them with her car keys in hand. "I'm taking Judi to the dentist. You guys can have breakfast or whatever but when I get back, you two better be ready."

It was odd to Ella, seeing Regina so motherly-like when she fixed her younger brother's hair before ushering him out the door.

"Like I said before, our mother's never home."

Ella followed her friend into the kitchen where the latter began to search the cupboards for items. "What do you want to eat?" Euphemia asked. "We have cereal, granola bars, yogurt, different kinds of fruit. I can make you something like pancakes or waffles if you want. We have eggs too and I think we have bacon also, I have to check though."

"What kinds of fruit?"

Euphemia closed the cupboards and walked over to the fridge. She opened it and peered through the various foods that were inside.

"We have strawberries, raspberries, a couple of peaches, an apple and loads of blueberries. I could whip up one of those fancy Greek yogurts, cut up some fruits and sprinkle granola. Does that sound good?"

Ella nodded. Thought, realizing her friend wasn't facing her, she vocalized a "yes".

It was weird for Ella to see Euphemia so efficient in the kitchen, especially since it was usually her mom who did all of the cooking. It made her wonder how often their parents were away.

"Do your parents work a lot?"

Euphemia scoffed, "Yeah, you could say that. Mother dearest works her ass off each night, I'm sure."

Sensing that it was a touchy subject, Ella stopped her pestering and asked if Euphemia had started the history homework packet that they had received on Friday.

"I don't mind, you know. It was a simple question. You don't have to avoid it. My father was shot and killed a couple of years ago during a drug deal gone wrong and my mother has never worked a day in her life. Well, not really. Unless you call partying and sleeping with wealthy married geezers a job."

Euphemia brutal honesty was a shock for Ella. Compared to her home life, Euphemia's was nothing like she thought was possible.

"I'm sorry." Ella muttered, not knowing exactly what to say otherwise.

Euphemia shook her head and put both bowls of their Greek-styled yogurt on the island where Ella was leaning. "Don't be. We were never close to any of our parents to begin with. I don't even know why they had kids in the first place."

They ate in silence. Ella for not knowing what to say and Euphemia for fuming over her irresponsible parents.

Ella released a sigh once she heard the door open. Finally, someone else to ease the tension. However, once she noticed the platinum blonde in front of her gripping her spoon so hard that her knuckles were turned white, Ella knew that it wasn't Regina and Judah that had came through the door.

There was no announcement of her arrival. Clicking footsteps could be heard as the woman made her way up the stairs, their keys jingling.

Euphemia pursed her lips and pulled out her phone, presumably to let her sister know that their mother had came home. Quickly, took the bowls of half-finished yogurt and carefully placed them in the sink. She then pulled Ella towards the back door as quietly as humanly possible, making sure not to have the door make any sound while opening and closing it.

It was clear that Euphemia didn't want to face her mother at all. They walked around the house in a quick fashion and rushed down the sidewalk.

"I told my sister to pick us up by the corner of our block."

Ella gave a wordless nod, even though her platinum blonde friend couldn't see it. How bad was their relationship that she didn't even want to see her own mother when she came home from God knows where?

Sure enough, Regina pulled up within a few minutes. Euphemia got into the passenger side while Ella got in the back and sat next to Judah. The car was silent for a few moments as the two sisters made conversation through eye contact.

From the corner of her eye, Ella noticed the mischievous grin that appeared on the nine year-old's face. It was an eerie sight, as if he were a puppet master pulling on strings.

He turned his head to address her blatant staring. He nodded at her in acknowledgment, "Chazi."

Ella offered up a small smile and took out her phone so she could pretend to play on it as a means to avoid the child. It didn't help. If anything, she could feel his stare bore holes into the side of her head.

She glanced at him from the corner of her eye. A look of triumph sparkled in his eyes before he returned his attention back to his crossword puzzle.

The sound of the car being put into drive filled their ears as Regina began to drive towards the middle school.

~ BG ~

Regina wasn't surprised in the slightest. The lot was full of several thin, little girls who had far too much attitude for how small they were. They were practically identical with their black cheer tanks and their too short, too bright, neon pink spandex shorts.

Well, those were middle school brats nowadays, she supposed. They were all scrubbing and washing the cars that pulled in, laughing and seemingly enjoying themselves as they raised money for whatever their cause was. . . . All except for one, that is.

The one little girl who wore a thin, black cheer jacket with Captain on the back in white and a neon pink visor walked around each group of girls, making sure that they were doing their job. She was the only one with a scowl on her face. And Regina knew exactly who that little girl was.

"You must be so proud," she commented when she spotted Aurelian from the corner of her eye. "She really knows how to take charge of situations."

She heard the male beside her let out a chuckle. "Yeah, she's just that kind of person. She has this iron grip on any and every goal she has ever wanted to accomplish."

Regina watched with keen interest as the petite captain dictated the freshmen in what their duties were. She used a no-nonsense tone and talked with such authority that it was quite amusing for the Queen Barbie.

The platinum blonde turned her head to Aurelian and asked, "She's an eighth grader, right?"

He nodded.

That little girl happened to be Aurelian's little cousin, Jenevie Janette. She had golden hair similar to his tied up in a high ponytail and a pair of aquamarine eyes. As if sensing that she was being talked about, the little cheer captain snapped her head to look at Regina and Aurelian.

With her lips pressed together in an annoyed fashion, the eighth grader marched towards the two Barbies. This only caused Regina to grin, clearly amused with the pre-teen.

"Aurelian Rey! You promised you'd help! I don't think that includes flirting with girls that aren't your girlfriend." Jenevie Janette's eyes glanced at the platinum blonde for emphasis.

Regina laughed slightly, "I'm flattered but, he wasn't at all flirting with me. In fact, he was just telling me how responsible and independent you are."

The little girl's eyes lit up at that. "Really," she turned to her cousin, "you think I'm responsible and independent?"

Aurelian chuckled and poked her forehead. "Don't let it get to your head, Blue Jay."

She just rolled her eyes and said, "Yes, Mother Hen."

"JJ!"

A woman with long, straight, dark brown hair called as she jogged towards them. She had tanned skin, a lean athletic build and looked as if she could be a yoga instructor. Jenevie Janette looked at her expectantly, "Coach."

Her coach laughed, showing off her beautiful smile, "What are you doing here, kiddo? We have funds to raise and I know how much you wanna go to competition."

"Sorry Coach but, I was trying to get this guy over here," the preteen jabbed her thumb over to Aurelian's direction, "to do something other than flirt with the customers."

Regina looked to the brunette, "I'm not a customer. I was just dropping off my little sister and her friend. They're the ones who volunteered to help out."

Brown eyes studied the platinum blonde with contempt, "Lemme guess, our car wash is too amateur for the Queen Barbie's ride?"

She narrowed her icy blue eyes at the cheerleading coach's words. She cocked her head to side and flashed a venomous smile, "I just got it washed the other day. I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch your name."

The brunette matched the Queen Barbie's smile with on of her own. "Maria," she said, "Maria Merlo."

Regina's eyes flickered in recognition and she let out a half-hearted laugh. "Must be nice," she said before turning around, "surrounding yourself with people like us."

Maria let out an uncomfortable laugh as the platinum blonde walked away. Upon seeing Jenevie Janette's confused stare, she offered up a smile and told her, "Get back to work. Those cars aren't going to wash themselves."

With a calculating look, the preteen wordlessly went towards the other cheerleaders.

The brunette let out a sigh she didn't realize she was holding and raked her fingers through her hair. Aurelian stared at her with curious eyes. What could Regina possibly know about this woman?

"Aurelian Rey! Volunteering means helping out! Come on, I don't have all day!"

Brown eyes found his and he immediately gave a polite smile before heading off to his cousin.

Everyone has their secrets.

Barbie Generation Column

Dear Anybody Who's a Somebody,

I heard Hance Jekel's party was something. You never disappoint, we'll surely miss you when you graduate babe. Who's going to throw all the best parties next year? As per usual, Barbie Inauguration was during the weekend and let me tell you, I loved every bit of it.

Congratulations to Arylss, Ella and Euphemia for surviving the initiation. I, however, am not so forgiving. Good luck, you'll need it if you're going to be staying in my house. If you think Regina's bad . . . you've seen nothing yet. I make even the bitchiest of queens quiver in their six-inch heels.

Speaking of my beloved doll. Oh Gina, darling, being Queen is one thing but, bitching a host at his own party is something else entirely. Whatever though, right? You are Queen after all. In fact, I have a little gift for you. I'm sure you'll absolutely adore it!

Sincerely but Never Yours,

A surprise by BG's standards was never anything good. Everybody knew that. Fryea couldn't fathom what this warning possibly meant. Did BG find another Barbie to fill in the vacant position?

She could feel her boyfriend's hand rubbing her upper arm in a comforting gesture. She leaned into him. Another threat? But, who did BG choose? Someone they knew? Someone who was new?

The sudden sound of various gasps caught her attention. She looked up from her phone's screen. The crowd was parting. Everyone was speaking in hushed whispers to each other.

Freya looked down at her phone once more, this time analyzing the picture at the bottom. The hint. It was definitely a girl's legs, there was no question.

Her legs were slim and long, she was wearing a pair of black Jimmy Choo heels. The shoes weren't familiar in the slightest. Freya didn't recall anyone she knew with that exact pair and she should know, fashion was her thing.

It was then that Aurelian's hold on her tightened. She looked up to him with worry. "What's wrong, Lian?"

His eyes were fixated on something ahead. He swallowed thickly, the look on his face was of shock. "I—" he began, "I think I know what BG's surprise is."

Without asking for an answer, Freya whipped her head around in the direction his eyes were . . . and what she saw caused her to loosen her grip on her phone. She did nothing as it fell to the ground.

She couldn't believe her eyes. There she was, as if nothing had happened. She came in strutting like the hall was her runway. She was Chanel everything, from her handbag to her accessories. All except for her shoes, those were Jimmy Choo's . . . the exact pair from the picture in the BG blast.

She was hardly recognizable with her aura of newfound confidence and her hair back to its natural red hue. Her long mane flowed with every step she took. The Chanel shades she wore hid her big, doe-like, brown eyes from sight.

Freya was utterly speechless. How did Lucky Jeanes have the audacity to return?

Lucky seemed to have spotted the couple, as she smiled and walked a little bit faster towards them.

"Freya!" The redhead exclaimed as she came up and wound her arms around the petite brunette. "It's been so long!"

"Uh, yeah." Freya said after finally finding her voice. She looked towards her boyfriend in confusion. Aurelian only shrugged, he was just as befuddled as she was.

As quick as Lucky to hug her was as quick as she was to release her. The smile on the redhead's features seemed as fake as ever.

She didn't mean it. If there was anyone Lucky hated besides Regina, it was Freya. The brunette never took any of her bullshit, like Cécilia and Narcissa did. She always knew that Lucky was a liar. At first, her greeting made no sense. Now, Freya knew that she was just trying to play innocent, like always.

Well, I haven't gotten the lead in every school play I've been in for nothing. Two can play at this game.

Freya offered up the brightest smile she could. "I can't believe you're back! I thought you moved to, like, Italy or something like that."

The redhead laughed it off. "Oh, no. I just took a well-deserved rest is all. Though, vacationing in Rome was amaz-ing!" Lucky said in a sing-song voice before adding, "European guys are so hot." She glanced over to Aurelian, "Nothing compared to you though, Lian, so you don't need to worry about your girlfriend. I'm sure she's loyal."

Freya pursed her lips. Although neither of them had cheated on each other, the scandal that happened last week was still a tender subject.

The redhead continued on in complete oblivion. "I mean, there's a reason you two are known as the Barbie and Ken couple. You two have been together since, like, forever." Lucky gave a contented sigh, "Must be nice."

Aurelian wrapped his arm around his girlfriend and smiled politely. "It is."

Lucky then spotted something on the floor. She gasped dramatically, "Oh, Freya, your phone!" She then bent down to retrieve the device.

She probably thinks she's doing a civil service, Freya thought bitterly as she noticed many guys staring blatantly at her ass. She wasn't jealous, she just knew of what an attention whore Lucky was.

The redhead snapped back up and smiled before handing Freya back her phone. "You're lucky the screen didn't crack."

The brunette smiled in response, "Gee, what would I have done without you?"

The cheery look was gone from Lucky's face, "Are you still mad at me? I came back to start over, with everyone. I didn't come back to screw everyone over, Freya."

Liar.

Nonetheless, Freya shook her head and dismissed what the redhead had said. "There's no need for that, really. I'm sure Gina will understand. You two were real close back then so, I'm sure it won't be a problem."

Freya noticed the slight hesitation before Lucky smiled. She had gotten her weak spot. So, maybe she wasn't so confident after all. She hadn't changed as much as she would have liked. Still, why did she return?

"Mmhm, yep. Gina was, like, my best friend. Me coming back was like a surprise gift. She's gonna be so thrilled when she sees me. Actually, speaking of Gina, I'll go find her! It was nice bumping into the two of you though! See you later!"

And Lucky was on her way to knock on the Devil's door.

"I can't believe she's back."

Freya unlocked her phone and began texting. She leaned against her boyfriend while doing so, "Yeah, I know. This is going to change everything."

She's back and she's looking for you. Watch out, Gina. —FB

After all, everything that came out of that snake's mouth was a lie.

Told you she'd make an appearance. Now, let the drama unravel. Yeah, I know, I never showed what happened during the game Truth or Dare but, you'll find out later. This chapter is very crucial towards the story. Stay tuned in order to find that out more. :)

BTW - Jenevie Janette's name is pronouced like Genevive (without the "ve") and Janette (the "tte" is silent, rhymes with Renée and ballet).
