He seemed ageless. Any time Ross settled on a certain number of years, the boy's face shifted again. He was inconsistency personified. His best bet on the stranger's age was the same as his own, 15 - he felt it in his gut - but how he knew this to be true, he didn't know.
In that moment all other sounds faded away.
"Ross."
The strange boy smiled.
