The day was sinking into the darkness of night, the sweet smell of the hot earth as it started to cool spread through the house. The sun sank lower and the crickets started their songs, the noise was calming and that is what he needed. The world was changing, moving into a direction where war was inevitable, the Witches, Wizards, Warlocks, Elves and Humans would be going to war with each other. Something needed to be done to keep the animals and their Protectors safe...

Another good beginning! The only thing I could suggest to improve it would be to give a bit more of a description of the elf village, just for curiosities sake.
